Good guy easy grader on the papers. A lot of books to read but noone does so just sit there and act like you're taking notes and you'll be fine.

Take this class for the summertime! It's a really easy class and he's a nice guy. I don't think it's as intense in the summer as it is during the normal schoolyear.

One of the best professors at Ramapo. Classes are always full but he will write you in if you go see him. You dont have any exams just 2, 2 page papers on what you read in class. He is the Prof. to take for Rdngs In Humanities!, dont take anyone else.

Has FASCINATING ideas. Take him even at 8:05, he's worth it. His style of teaching isn't amazingly exciting, but the information he presents is very interesting. Draws comparisons from books to modern issues that you can relate to. Excellent teacher!

he's VERY smart. will sometimes go off on tangents, but they all demonstrate his knowledge. his lectures are a little boring if you zone out, but pay attention!! he has a lot of interesting facts to say! he's an easy grader and is great to talk to.

Very fair. what you put in is what you get out. clear and to the point. cares about his classes but also reolizes that there is life outside of school so the work load is fair. i strongly recomend him to all students.

Awsome! This man is a genius. He has like 2 doctorates, and multiple masters. He even works with th UN. The way he makes you think is mind blowing! He takes a fairly boring subject and makes it fun. Can be kind of tough but that's what the class is.

Very easy. Papers are only 2pgs. all you have to do is attend and know about the stories you go over, which are pretty easy. he takes attendance and it really counts a lot. midterm and final are 2 pg papers. no test except if class dont read.

Dr. Padovano is truly a man of wisdom. His words are so profound and his ability to related to his students is amazing. The person who said that he is rude to women is totally wrong, after all he teaches humanity. Loved him!!! Best at Ramapo so far.

It's incredible how interesting he makes his lectures. I think he could sit and talk about any topic and keep my interest. Makes difficult pieces of literature easy and interesting and gives a very fair workload. Lots of people who are as smart as him can't relate to students, but not him. Amazing.

Padavano is definitely the best english teacher you will ever have. He is not only brilliant but he can relate to students and always gives a lot of examples to make his point. He gives very easy assignments considering he is a man of wisdom. Take him for any class u can.

I only had Padovano for an hour Philosphy lecture but the man seriously changed my life. 15 years as a priest...2 doctrates...the man is a genius. Every word that came out of his mouth was so insightful...if you don't listen to him speak over your time here, you are truly missing out

as long as you go to all the classes and do fairly well on the papers (2 or 3 two-page reaction papers) you'll have no problem walking out with an A... Going to all the classes is VERY IMPORTANT, he takes off a lot of credit... a very intersting man to listen to, very wise

Dr Padavano is the most worthy of academic respect, however, he is humble. He teaches important spiritual principals within an academic atmosphere. He Cares about real learning and is probably the best proffessor Ive ever had.

This man is amazing. Yes, the class is easy. Yes, there are only three two page papers, and yes if you show up every class you'll probably get a B automatically. But this man has so much wisdom, so much insight and experience to teach, it's a shame kids just go in for the A and jet. Easily one of the best profs I've ever had; wish he taught more.

he's a really great, smart professor. grade is based on 2 film critiques as well as an hour long presentation so if you fear being up there in front of a class, don't take him. however, i recommend him. really nice guy

Padavano is brilliant - it's rough gettin to his 8:05 but do it, he'll drop your grade for absences. Four two-page papers - easy and you'll learn a lot of unrelated stuff.

Loved this class..hes an easy grader..had 4 2-pg papers..got all A's on them..however i felt like i was in a language class cuz he would interpert some of the meanings of the books in latin, italian, greek..but overall i would recommend this class..easy A

Easy. 5 papers, 2 pages each. You can get away with just reading the spark notes and skimming online for quotes if you need them... but do the readings for your own sake. His courses are very worthwhile. Put in a reasonable effort on the papers, show up to class every day and stay awake. That's all you need to do to get a good grade.

loved him! incredibly cultured and well-traveled, knows many languages and random facts about everything, which he demonstrates in his interesting lectures. breathes new life into old stories, relating them to your world. few short essays, no exams. highly recommended, deffinatly worth waking up for.

TAKE HIM! GREAT EXPERIENCE! Readings in Humanities. Easy class (a couple 2 pg papers, fair grader). Do the readings (skim sparknotes) and comment in class a little. He does most of the talking and you'll feel enlightened in the end. Awesome guy.

I took this class with Dr. Padovano because of his ratings here and the fact that he seems to be the most popular professor for R in H. His class was alright, but it's very hard to understand him -- he speaks in a very low voice. He gives a lot of breaks and I ended up with an A...but class was kind of boring. The papers were pretty easy, though.

Readings in Humanities class was really easy. Just a couple two page papers. Beware he makes you read your papers in front the class if he likes them. He was a good professor but we had too many breaks and in the end I don't know if he deserves such high ratings on here. I may take another class with thim if I have credits to spare.

He is really nice, but he does speak very low and all he does is talk for the entire class. he usually comes to class 5-10 min late and then gives u a 10 min break half way thru then lets u out early which is pretty sweet. all the papers are 2 pages, including the midterm. All u really have to do is sit there an listen ull get an A

Extremely easy class, grades consist of all papers which is just basically analyzing themes in the books that we read in class. He explains everything in a whole new level and makes it fun to go to class. I would extremely recommend taking him for this class. Not only because it was easy, but because it was great listening to his lectures

Had him for Hebrew Bible (taking him for Christian Bible). He's AWESOME. He enjoys being challenged in lecture/papers but if you have concrete evidence you'll get an A!!! Use gotquestions.org and answersingenesis.org for class. He gives As to students that challenge him using SCIENCE to support Christ. Hint: SOME of the things he says is NOT true.

He's really smart (in theology) Well knowledgeable in the Bible however he uses [poor/old] scientific evidence 2 support the Bible. When I figured something was fishy I googled his topics & found answersingenesis.org which went against his weird science. I spoke out in class & in my papers, he got mad, but gave me an A for revealing his 'trick'!!

Dr. Padovano is an overall great teacher. He really cares about his students. If you take his class, make sure to takes notes, attend class, pay close attention, and participate in discussions. As long as put forth the effort, he's always willing to help. Great Teacher all around!!!!

Has a lot of knowledge in the subject matter, but doesn't let students talk. Randomly grades on papers. Tried meeting with him, but wasn't too helpful. Take him if you're a literature major or plan on becoming one.

Dr. Padovano is a great professor. I actually wanted to go to class and listen to him lecture. He is a very wise and intelligent man. Don't be absent from his class, he can't stand that. You can get by in the class using spark notes, I did and I ended up with a B+ not what I was expecting (A) but still decent. I def. recommend taking him- hes great

Excellent readings professor. He doesn't talk down to you like a teacher-to-student but treats everyone like an adult. He also is brilliant at taking complex literature and making it incredible easy to understand; he also has a knack for relating all major events in stories to real life experiences. Definitely take him for Readings if you can.

Dont listen 2 these ratings. He grades randomly, isnt clear about what he wants. Will drop you 3 letter grades on your papers for no reason, even if grammer, ideas and writing style are fine. Had my papers read by english majors and people who've gotten A's with him before and he will still give me the same grade. Completely biased. DO NOT TAKE!!!

took for readings in humanities and is very monotone. If you listen what he says is interesting, but its hard to not fall asleep. He grades rather hard on papers, but the papers and workload is very easy. 5 2pg papers and 1 1pg experiential paper.

Prof Padovano is a really great teacher. However, I dont know why people rated him easy--most of my class got C's on their papers. The workload isnt a lot (all papers are only 2 pages long) but he is a tough grader. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to push themselves or is a lit or philosophy major.

Professor Padovano is an excellent instructor; I walked away with so much knowledge from his class- he incorporates a lot of life's examples to illuminate themes that have great relevance in one's own life. The workload is very manageable; consists of 5 2pg papers, 1 midterm, 1 final, and a 1 pg experiential paper. It's about quality not quantity.

Wonderful, wonderful Professor. He is a very knowledgeable man who really cares about his students. It is people like him that leave such a lasting impression and influence on someone, that one never forgets them. His class was very thought-provoking and enjoyable. You'll leave with a renewed perspective on the bible and on life.

Padovano knows his stuff! He's very smart and tries to be sensitive to everyone's beliefs. I learned more in his class then any other class I've taken so far. It's more of a philosophy class then lit, though. He does most of the talking so 3 hours can be difficult to get through but I say take him! Everything you thought you knew will change.

The worst thing you can say is that he's overly lecture-centric. Personally, he is an incredibly soulful and intelligent man. I recommend taking him; if nothing else, you'll learn a life experience.

Dr. Padovano is a great prof! He loves to lecture, but definitely keeps it interesting. He teaches the Bible from a literary perspective, which is very enlightening. He can be a tough grader, but your overall grade is based on improvement. He's worth taking, even though his classes are 8 am's.

For some reason he just hated my writing. He was never clear with what he wanted and was very vague with his papers and the topics. I never got anything higher than a C from this man. He mainly teaches 8AMs too... NOT worth it

Words cannot describe the Godly figure known as Padovano. The man is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. Reminds me of the wise old man in any movie, even sounds a bit like Optimus Prime. Definitely recommend him for Readings in Humanities. the 8am is worth it.

Probably one of the most intelligent professors I have ever met. He has an understanding of language, emotion, and literature that still amazes me. His lectures may be somewhat boring (esp. for an 8AM), but there is no doubt that he is a good professor. He's also a pretty easy grader.

I took him for a summer course and he lectures the whole time, but he's one of the best professors I've ever had. He's such a sweet, old man and his real life examples are very interesting and always insightful and helpful. I definitely recommend him. An absolute must have professor.

Easy class, just show up, and seem interested. He explains all of the stories in great detail, so you will understand the books really well. He also explains roots of words, which was pretty cool. You only have to write three, two paged essays, and both the midterm and final are short in class essays.

His lectures might get too long and boring sometimes but they are worth listening to. He is very nice and concerned about the students. Not a lot of papers, just some reading and a mid term and a final. if you listen to him at class, you will do just fine.
