I MISS STORYTIME!!!

Awesome professor. This was my favorite class of the year. I looked forward to it and always felt like I was constantly learning. Take his class, but know it's not a joke.

Class was very early but worth going to every class. He opened my mind and eyes to so much new knowlege. He is an amazing man and teacher! He is very cute too.

Took his Comparative Religions class. The BEST class and BEST teacher EVER!! Mr. C was so into the topic that you couldn't help but be, too. Love the Sweetie stories. Just the nicest guy. Tests were cake. A wealth of knowledge in a little Italian package!! Highly recommend!!!

Out-freakin-standing class! I went into this class thinking, "boredom and I don't need this." This class opens your eyes and he is the PERFECT person to teach it. Exams are easy. Just take notes and study them. I HIGHLY recommend this class.

good teacher,but i would never take his class again.i signed up for humanities class and he teaches comparative religion. it is debatable whether or not that is part of humanities,but if ure going to compare religions,know what your talking about from each religion not just the ones you want everyone to convert to.God fearing ppl will not like.

Mr.P makes coming to class fun and simple. No jumping through hoops here.He is very animated and possitive, something alot of proffesors are lacking at lcc. I would take his class again in a sec.

I took comparative religion. Palermo was great. As long as you take notes, and did your work you will get a good grade. He is very respectful to students and is a very easy going guy. Would definitely take a class with him again if I need to.

Mr. P is an excitable, possitive proffesor who will get your creative juices flowing, I now understand religion alot more than I learned in Sunday school, I want you all to know Mr.P gave me strength I didnt know I had, and he will give you e/t you need to follow your spirituality, love this guy.

This was my favorite class of all the classes I took. This teacher makes the subject matter interesting. Class was at 8:00 am and few students missed his class. Love it!

He's an amazing professor. I graduated from LCC 2 yrs ago & went to finish my BA at another college & I still keep in touch with him. He helps me with courses here that I have questions about that I think he'll know. He's an amazing professor. Just go to class, take notes, and read, and you'll have no problem at all. Greatest professor ever!!!

His is very organized, his class is very interesting and never boring. You have 3 tests and no final. extra credit for participation. NO PAPERS... He makes it easy to participate in class. Must take...

He is very strange, but if you write down what he tells you and highlight what he says to in the reading you'll do fine on the tests. The class is fairly easy. The only thing I didn't particularly like was that I felt like he was trying to indoctrinate me. Fun to listen to his stories, but he's very strange.

Professor Palermo was such a wonderful teacher. He is very passionate about what he teaches. You do have to attend every class and pay attention. His tests are based on your class notes. So as long as your there and take notes you'll be fine.

Professor Palermo is awesome. He is my favorite teacher. He tells you what to write in your notes and exactly what to highlight in the book. The tests are word for word out of the notes you take. He makes the class very fun and interesting. He wants you to pass the class.

Mr. Palermo is the man. He takes an extremely boring subject and somehow makes it interesting and fun. Everything he tells you to write down is exactly what is on the test. You just have to show up to get an A.

Mr. Palermo is easily the BEST teacher I've had at Lakeland. It's hard to find someone as good as him, but I think I found it in his best friend, Professor Jim Dailey, who has his moments as well!

Easily one of the best professors at Lakeland. He was always very energetic and very interested in his work. Always had good stories and made the class very fun. Would highly recommend him to anybody taking the intro class.

Dream Quest was a very cool class to take. He was overly thrilled with all of the material which made it very easy to learn. I would highly recommend this class to everyone interested in dreams, and why you dream what you do.

Palermo is a great teacher. I had him for into to humanities and i loved him, so i took his dream quest class. It was not as interesting as it seems but i still learned a lot and some parts were fun. Tests cover a lot of material and if you don't come to class you miss a ton of notes. Great teacher overall though.

Best prof at Lakeland. He's funny, hes passionate. He's not just a good prof, but he is a good overall guy. He will go out of his way for his students. He remembers everyone's names even after you are finished with his class. He is very clear with his material, you practically know what is on every test. I would take any class he taught.

Enthusiastic teacher which helps some what since humanities is a relatively boring subject. Tells you what to put in your notes. Tests are simple and straight forward. Just study your notes and handouts and you'll do fine. Highly recommend.

Mr. Palermo is genuinely caring, funny, and passionate about what he teaches. He creates a very open learning environment in which everyone feels safe to participate. Tests are very detailed, but take great notes and study each day's lesson; the lectures are so intriguing anyway that it's almost impossible not to read over the notes everyday!

This humanities class I believe, was unlike any other. His subject matter pertains to all of us in one way or another. This class really makes you think about life in general. I think this class should be a MUST for everyone. It was AWESOME! I highly recommend Professor Palermo, he is just as awesome as his class.

This was an excellent summer classes. Expect weekly quizzes and biweekly written exams but they are open book and notes. Would definitely take a class with Palermo again!

Simply put, Mr. Palermo rocks! He is unbelievably passionate about the material covered & strives to make class both informative & fun. His Dream Quest class was particularly enjoyable, & easy (final assignment was interpreting your semester's dream journal). The perfect choice if you're interested in the humanities or just need credits in the Arts

Amazing teacher, openly cares about his students and listens to everything he says. Tells you exactly what to write in your notes for tests and quizzes, definitely an easy class if you are interested. Seems scary at first, but is honestly one of the best teachers i've ever had. Little to no homework.

He is an amazing professor. I have never taken his online classes however his lectures are amazing. If you take good notes(just what he tells you to write down) you will be set for his tests. The best professor I have ever had for any class. He is brilliant, inspiring and engaging. He really knows how to connect with his class. He is very friendly and almost always available outside of class. I think everyone should take him at least once. He is the smartest person I have ever met.

By far one of the best professors at Lakeland. He is caring and considerate as long as you're respectful, too. Truly fascinated in what he is teaching and he's absolutely hilarious. He tells amazing stories, whether they are about his life or the lives of people who lived thousands of years ago. Tests are easy. A wonderful, amazing human being!

Really outgoing guy. Puts in a lot of effort to ensure that you are doing well in the class. I had several scheduling conflicts with work this semester and he was totally understanding and was willing to work around my unfortunate circumstance.

Vert inspirational teacher. Mr. Palermo has to be my favorite teacher I have taken at Lakeland. Rarely gives homework, and if he does, its 2 pages in the text book. Tests are very easy to study for. Everything gone over in class is testable, so attendance is mandatory. Very passionate and you can tell he loves what he does.

Palermo was VERY respectful of all religious traditions & taught from an objective POV. Grades relied on 3 tests, so make sure your a good test taker. No essay Q's. Attend/participate count. Very passionate/knowledge/open-minded, entertaining. Kept class interesting and tests based solely on lecture material. Don't miss class tho. Funny & engaging.

Very loud, energetic and outgoing. You really have to pay attention in class because he will call on you randomly and ask for your "reflections" at the end of class. He made a pretty boring subject pretty easy to understand. Make sure to write down or highlight everything he tells you and study your notes before tests because there are only three.

Clearly loves what he teaches. Will reach out to students who are struggling and gives students every chance to read. Take notes! His tests are straight from the notes and powerpoints. As long as you study the notes you will pass.

He was truly a nice person that cared about his students succeeding and really showed a positive interest while teaching the course. There was rarely any homework and if there was it was just reading. If you take time and study the notes he tells you to write down you will get an A in this course. Only 3 exams which are what your grade depends on.

Mr. Palermo is a great guy and an awesome professor, all professors should be more like him. Although, he doesn't let anyone use notes on the tests, the questions are in the same formats. Overall a good class.

Professor Palermo is a fantastic professor. Do the reading assignments, shown up to lecture, and participate. If one puts in effort, they will pass this class easily.

Professor Palermo is by far my favorite professor EVER. If you have any interest in humanities you will love this class. He gives a completely different insight and speaks unbiased about every subject. He is very personal and very easy to talk to. This class was amazing 10/10 would recommend taking!

One of my favorite professors! He is so passionate about what he teaches and really tries to personally know his students. He's very clear about what is going to be tested on and what notes you should be taking. There were only a couple pop quizzes. Awesome guy!

Great professor! He makes lecture very fun and entertaining! He will randomly call on you so be prepared. The course consists of 3 exams and a few random quizzes so make sure you study/read when told! If you fail an exam you may have to drop the class because those are the only assignments that get used towards the class.

Prof Palermo does a great job teaching a subject that many fail to teach well. I expected his class to be boring, but it was one of the most enjoyable classes I took this year. He is very interesting and makes it clear what you have to know. His class is mostly graded on his tests, and you'll have to study for them if you want a good grade.

Professor Palermo was the best professor I've ever had!! He was so engaging and gave interesting and hilarious lectures. He always told you exactly what you needed to know for the test which ensured your success. I wish I could take his class again, it was amazing!

Prof. Palermo is wonderful! His lectures are hilarious and he's super animated while doing them. Easiest class I ever took. Just read the assigned pages and watch the videos (actually pay attention! Don't skim/play videos in the background) and you'll have no issues. Hes pretty quick about responding to emails and his "quizzes" are... interesting.

Along with Professor Hopper, Professor Palermo run a wonderful mythology class in the summer (along with his DreamQuest class). He gives great feedback and his online lectures are so much better because they're clear, concise, and focused on the theme of the chapter. Made the online class just as engaging as the in-person class.

He is the best professor I've ever had. Took his in person class a couple years ago and signed up for his DreamQuest class. I still remember all of the stories he shared and the material has stuck with me all this time. He is incredible. We had small 5 question quizzes each week but as long as you're listening to the lectures you'll do great.

Prof. Palermo and Prof. Hopper taught this class together and I really enjoyed it! I think Professor Palermo gave more feedback throughout the semester but both profs were super awesome. I also took HUMX 1100 with Prof. Palermo and loved it! He is such an enthusiastic professor and is genuinely interested in the contents that hes teaching.

Very interesting guy but cared about his students. Had a lot to say about your work. Easy to reach. He had assignments from old movies that were related to subject. Wish they were newer movies but the assignments were super easy. Overall a good professor.

Amazing lectures. No professor at Lakeland has as great lectures as Professor Palermo. He's funny, jolly, and explains everything so you aren't confused. Textbook use is minimal. Online course is formatted great. With intense note taking, you will get A's on all tests. If you don't note take, and think you can cheat, you will fail.
