He is a very nice man with a sense of humor. Knows what he is talking about and makes class interesting. Alot of assignments here and there, but the exams are fairly easy and reasonable if you attend class like you're supposed to. TAKE HIM!

Prof P is excellent. He is really knowledgeable and seems like he knows everything!! He really teaches you how to take data and analyze it (if you take good notes and study) -- really ties together int'l politics and economics. He challenges you but it's worth it.

He's a great professor that makes the subject interesting and relevant to the students. His quizzes are tough but his assignments and tests are easy which makes up for the 2 low quiz grade in the end. He also gives many opportunities to earn extra credit, like handing in assignments early and just speaking in class.
A really great Prof. Made class very interesting. Taking notes is a MUST in this class. I never bought the book and managed to get a B+. Quizzez and exams are a bit tricky but papers and projects pretty easy. Offers extra credit left and right. Just make sure you attend class to get notes and you should be o.k.

He is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable about the subject because he owns his own importing/exporting company. All of his exams are short-essay type questions. Never Multiple choice. You have to know your stuff. Pay attention and take perfect notes or you will fail. I didn't pay attention and just studied the books and ended with bad grades.

Great professor.Come to class and take notes,don't need the book!!! Study from your NOTES! Study everything he talks about and from notes. Not too easy but at the same time you learn a lot and you can get A. Hes funny as hell.
TAKE NOTE, it will help you a lot. Exams from his class notes, testbook is a good help but not necessary. Fair exams and project. Quiz before midterm and final which helps a lot. Funny and easy going class. Very knowledgeable and has a lot experiences in the real world. Very good professor, you can learn a lot in his class!!
Don't buy the book! I wish I wrote better notes. I still ended up with a B though, eventhough I did bad on the midterm n the quizzes. two papers, 1 importing paper and 1 exporting paper. Always show up for class and take extremely good notes. All exams and quizzes are based on notes. No multiple choice exams and quizzes. All are short essay format

By far the best professor I have ever had! I do not attend Baruch but I took a summer course with him and he was such a great teacher. He definitely knew his subject well and was engaging. He is hilarious and the class was pretty easy. I wish he taught at my school!!

He talks a lot about current events in his day to day lectures. Most of his exams are based on these lectures so you better take good notes (since his handwriting on the board is horrible). His projects and assignments are extremely easy (you can complete his 5th grader level projects 1o minutes before class). However dont expect an ez A.
Attention hardly drifted during the Professor's lectures as he incorporates current world events into classroom discussion. Learned quite a bit about international business and the risks and perils facing MNCs. Quizzes, Exams, and assignments were not too difficult if you prepared and you also had the opportunity to hand in extra credit.
Greatest prof at Baruch. Gives you real-world insight and application, not just the basic text book knowledge. TAKE GOOD NOTES! Easy projects, fair exams. Lots of opportunity for extra credit.
He's a pretty good professor in the classroom because he is very animated and makes it easy to pay attention...but his tests are really unclear -you don't know what he's asking for half the time. If you want an A I'd suggest to take Nachum.
If you want to make an easy grade take MKT 3400. If you want to LEARN RUN TO some one else. He is nice and funny but learning something useful is not possible. Be prepare to watch videos when he is absent. His projects are easy like collecting 25 articles and track currency over 12 weeks= EASY. tests a week after quizzes. tricky questions.

Awesome awesome professor!!!! He's super cool and he teaches very well too. I definitely learned alot from him. There's two projects, which are ridiculously easy, and midterm and a final. Pay attention in class and you'll do great. He gives alot of extra credit too so don't worry if you mess up a bit. You will get a chance to redeem yourself.

He gives you very narrow definitions and all you have to do is memorize exactly what he said.I don't understand how other students give him such a high rate.Because he's tets is easy...? This class is a joke.

disrespectful, has favorites, only use his examples or else it's wrong, -5 for asking personal questions in class, take him if you don't like to comment in class and laugh to his useless and corny jokes. he puts the chalk to his lip to tell us it's joint venture, jokes doesn't help with memorizing definitions, phone rings and he picks it up
While he does try his best to keep the class involved, his notes are highly disorganized. Nonetheless, good class notes are very helpful on quizzes/exams. Memorizing them word for word would be sure to get you a good grade. Per Pantaleon, you can essentially get a 0 on one thing and still get an A in his class. Do any extra credit you can.
Textbook: do not buy. Must go to class! His tests are exactly from his notes so take detailed notes. 2 quizzes, 1 Midterm, 1 Final, 1 Project, and LOTS of extra credit. Funny. Easy to approach. Write as much as possible on the tests.

I took both his class (4410 and 4401) and they're the same. Easy Class, but you have to attend the classes to write his note. Write down everything and his quiz and exam shouldn't be that hard. Cool and chill guy. You must try hard to fail his class. Just do his work..
I love his class. I took MKT 4410 and 4401 with him. He is the best! You will learn a lot related to the real market! Just take notes, and read the notes again and again before the exam. Easy A, even though your midterm got 60, you can still get a B+ at the end. He is very good!
The worst prof i have ever taken. Completly unclear what he wants from students. Grades have no resemblence to the knowledge the student has. AVOID!!!!!!!

First case study was pretty straight forward. 3rd and 4th ones are not as clear. he doesn't use blackboard at all, need to be in class to take good notes. 4 case studies + two tests which are case studies and a question from notes.

I took this professor because of the past reviews, but he must have changed how he teaches. He's terrible. The material makes up MAYBE half of what ends up on the exams and quizzes, the rest we never saw. Marked examples he mentioned in class wrong on test/exams. I Don't feel i learned much.
The old reviews aren't accurate. He is a terrible professor, doesn't test what he teaches and is extremely rude to students. Don't expect to be graded fairly, avoid at all costs.

His review had nothing to do with the final exam, how does a professor review material with his students have barley any connection with the real exam? It held topics that was never mentioned in class. He never taught from the text book. Avoid this professor, his exams are also in his own handwriting done at the last minute it seems like.
Absolutely he worst prof ever. You will be lose any interest in the subjects. His exams are for 4 year olds. And don't bother trying to get an explanation for his ridiculous grading because he will just be plain out nasty!!!
Taking this class with this professor was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. If I had known it would be a disaster in the end, I would've dropped it when I had the chance.
I personally did not like the way he taught the class. He seemed to be disorganized and all over the place. He also came off as unfriendly and callous towards students. Never answered questions without being rude. He also put stuff on the midterm and final that were never taught in class. Gave ex credit which I doubt counted much. Don't recommend.

OH MY LORD. This prof is not respectful by all means, he thinks he is GOD, however he does not know material he gives, don't even try to ask him anything, ANYTHING! He is terrible! On exams he asks meaningless details he says in the class. This guy makes a nightmare out of the most interesting class. SO DISAPPOINTED... He is RUDE and OBNOXIOUS.

Do yourself a huge favor and do not take his class. You will not learn anything worth learning, and he seems to get annoyed when students ask him questions. His tests seemed to be arbitrarily graded and the final had almost nothing to do with what he taught. He was rude and acted like he knew everything. So glad this class is over.
I mean, you won't learn much. The whole semester can be taught in 1-2 hours. B+ is to be expected.
I do agree that Prof. Pantaleon is very disorganized, and kind of just pulls the lectures out of a hat 10 mins before class. HOWEVER, he is a funny guy when he's in a good mood, and can make classes very interactive. I am aware that he gives amazing curves at the end, even to people who get 60s on quizzes and exams (they end with B's).

Bad Professor, unprepared for his classes, sometimes he even started our class thinking he was teaching some other... Very badly organized, no score was submited online for any of the assignments, just a random B+ I received. His board is disgusting, no logical sense on the writting, just random words and arrows all over. Late 40min every 3 classes
just take notes and study them before test. easy A. also, prof. is funny and entertaining so time flies by. prof. is very direct about what he wants you to learn. very honestly, course was on a high school level. but not all courses are suppose to be hard and professor is very professional and good.
Anthony Pantaleon is the clearest person in the world. He will explain you all the concepts and theories as he is telling you a story and you would love it! He has tons of examples in the real world to show how the marketing theories are applied in real life.
two case study (each 1 paper), Fianl paper(export or import plan), 2 quizes(writing; concepts and examples in real life), Midterm(Discuss about some situations given) and finalDiscuss about some situations given. He is cool guy but there is no rules in his lecture. Unorganized, no class materials, do study yourself with google.
Lots of written assignments and subjective grading system. This prof seems chill in class but he will not listen to any comments/concerns you have about the assignments/grades. You should go to class and take good notes to study for the exams. This was a pretty boring class, but I learned a lot.
I love this professor! Very knowledgable and inspirational! He also has a great sense of humor. His lectures are very clear and easy to comprehend. If you want to have an A in his classes, then you need to attend every class and take good notes. Very funny guy. Took him 3 times in a row. His classes are interrelated so I recommend taking him for 4410 and 4420 at the same time. 2 quizzes, midterm, final, 2 cases and an import/export plan per class. No multiple choice. Quizzes are vocabulary and tests on the concepts. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. Based on notes ONLY. TAKE NOTES AND STUDY THEM.

Score good in 1st, 2nd quiz & midterm, grade depends on these 3, he doesn't check final. Doesn't matter how your final is! Funny & gives real life examples! Don't be scared of assignments, just google, download or copy/paste. Don't be excited on extra credits, don't count, but google & submit them. Always agree with him! Remember the first 3!
Funny dude. Great guy that makes you interested in the class. However, the way he writes notes are all over the place so being a good note taker will really come in handy. Listen to him when he repeats things because that's usually whats on the exams. His exams are very subjective too so you really have to think outside the box to get a good grade
This prof acts all funny and easygoing, but then slowly you'll get to feel the reality is that he's extremely biased and teaches his personal opinion instead of actual facts. His tests are all based on his opinion he spoke about during lectures, and unless you take good notes and pretty much read his mind, he'll give you a bad grade.
So bad, started out nice then just didnt care. His class is like playing charades, he tries to make you finish all of his sentences even when the material hasnt been taught yet. Course is 100% class notes which are all over the place. Doesnt give anything to study or read to help absorb the info out of class. Unresponsive to emails STAY AWAY
He pretends to be funny, but indeed he is so mean. He had favourite students, and if you do not agree with him you are on top of his blacklist. So i wouldn't recommend him.
Stay away. He seems to be cool and funny but he barley does his job. Doesn't respond to email and doesn't remember what he taught in which class. GRADES ARE HARSH. if you don't agree with him on the stuff he says it's over for you.
Be prepared to be confused ALL SEMESTER. Unclear grading rubric, writes notes all over the place, textbook isnt helpful, and he is not direct with answers to your questions and makes you feel dumb for asking in the first place. The 2 quizzes were definition/example based but the midterm and final are both difficult. This class was a headache.
He is honestly so lazy. I tried to stay organized during this class but it's practically impossible. His emails are super unprofessional and he gives no format for assignments. He was the only professor available for MKT4410 so good luck with him.
if your looking for a professor who actually gives a hoot.. don't take him.. he literally doesn't explain any paper or test he gives you and then never gives you your grades back. Avoid this class if you can please. Awful class. He is very unclear. We have nothing to refer to in order to study. He is just talking all class and we are supposed to take notes. He mentioned in the beginning that he wants exactly what he is saying so everyone ends up having the same notes which are not that helpful for our academic career.
Everything the others said, but that's not really helpful since you probably have no other alternatives. Advice: Attend class or you will fail Take notes of everything he says! EVERYTHING. over-explain yourself, if you talk about % show numbers and calculations, give examples and product names. Don't challenge him or argue. never say open book
Avoid this Professor at all cost if you can. If you have to take him, just make sure to write down EVERY SINGLE WORD he says in class. He doesnt give any notes, and if you dont write exactly what he wants on tests its wrong. He often cut students off in class and just overall rude.

Rules to survive this class: Never ask questions- he will accuse you of not listening and gets angry. Never miss class- he never puts up anything on blackboard Exams are hard- he will never give you full credit for a question But worst of all, you never know whats going on with your assignments. All his assignments/exams are handwritten.
Great personality overall, makes jokes here and there. Very high maintenance when it comes to earning your grade. You have to REALLY WORK FOR IT, but he does grade rather fairly. If you're lucky he may give partial credit if you add a smiley face on your work depending on his mood. :)
His lectures are engaging. HelloOOoOoOoOoOoooOOOO!!!!!! but i have no idea what is going on most of the time between his accent and the mask muffling his voice. Does not have powerpoint slides or additional notes, but he does review for tests and quizzes. ALL TESTS AND QUIZZES ARE SHORT RESPONSES, KNOWING DEFINITIONS, EXAMPLES, AND IMPLEMENTATION
Easy content meaning easy to memorize but when it comes to the test, grading is strict because he wants examples and definitions written exactly the way he wants. He is rude in emails when you ask questions and basically responds in only a sentence or one word. Make sure not to mess up with your first project. Overall, easy class but strict grader.
Test are short answered based, needs definition and examples. Grades aren't posted on blackboard so you basically won't know if your failing or passing until the semester is over... Worst part is he doesn't respond to emails and when you ask him he will tell you he has too many emails to look at.
Dear lord, where do I start? Late to lectures and exams. Lecture is made up by him, complete nonsense. No guidance or clarification on papers. Never know your grade during semester bc he is anti-technology. His ridiculous lessons are him writing on the board and yelling "HeLLoOo??" every 5 mins to make sure you are paying attention. If you like playing charades and guessing what you are learning about, this is for you. His lectures are him starting a sentence and expecting the class to finish it. Really sad excuse for a prof. He knows his stuff but has no idea how to make sure students are learning. No one ever gets higher than a 90 on any exam or paper he is a tough grader

Very tough grader. Takes off a lot of points on quizzes and tests. Confusing on what he wants in all assignments. Expensive class , waste money and to get bad grades.

Hard to understand. We need to google and learn everything on our own. We need to make up numbers on case assignments and hard to find anything online. you are mostly on your own.
He grades unfairly, does not give clear instructions and does not give feedback. He does give extra credit but overall a super annoying class and an annoying professor. If you attend class and listen to his unorthodox lectures you should be fine. You just basically have to do things exactly the way he wants you to do it even if it makes no sense.
Very difficult professor to keep track of, does not use blackboard or any other online tools. Doesn't even know how to send out an email either and makes it impossible to keep track of whats going on and whats due. On top of that he uses paper print outs when he could just post the pdf online. Asking questions doesnt even get you a straight answer.
avoid him if you can. he overcomplicates the concepts and lectures in his class and when you try to ask for clarification he tells you to look on google or ask for a friend's notes. never elaborates when you ask him to. you never know your grade because he doesn't upload on BB. in fact, he doesn't use BB at all to upload any announcements.

His grades are based off of mood. He has no clear grading structure or organized material. Everything is about Tesla so if you write about that you are fine. One answer can be right one day until next class that same answer would be wrong. Very confusing at times. Good energy but terrible communication of material and assignment structure.
PANTALEON HATE MUST STOP. Had him twice. Genuinely hilarious dude, roasted this bucket hat wearing kid for taking the test in 17 min by giving him a 17/100 grade. All you need to do to get decent grades is pay attention to his buzzwords and favorite companies. Lectures are way more interesting than most. Not an easy A, more like easy B. DO EXCREDIT
2 papers, 2 midterms, 3 quizzes including random POP Quiz, 2 simple final projects combined into 1, ALOT of extra credit. Textbook required but didn't really use since lectures are sufficient with GOOD notes. Interesting lectures, connects real life scenarios to the lectures and learning, he is bold so be respectful, Interesting and hilarious LOL!

I absolutely love this guy, funniest professor I've had at Baruch, his lectures were interesting and always engaged the class, there were 2 projects, 2 quizzes, 1 midterm, and a final. participation and attendance is crucial as there are many topics to be learned. Overall a really fun class and an even funnier professor, would always recommend him.
Pantaleon's class is a wild ride - expect the unexpected and be ready to think on your feet. His lectures are engaging, but his grading can be tough. Luckily, Unstuck AI is a lifesaver for quiz and exam prep. Overall, a challenging but rewarding experience.
Gives unclear instructions and confusing emails, and rarely responds on time. The midterm had us writing seven essays in one hour. My hand was going to fall off. When he gave back the midterm, he said that everyone didn't do well on the last few questions. "hm, I wonder why... oh ya, because he gave us an hour to write seven essays".
He classifies you the first day of class, and it does not matter how you do exams, how you do papers, that he is going to set your grade from the first day. If you take him make sure he likes you by participating in class or making jokes idk. I would not take him. He just yaps in class and notes make NO SENSE
