Pay attention on the lecture and lab; recorder is very usefull. Double check on the exam because he often makes mistakes with the answer.He gave tons of quizzes, just be prepare!

Prof Paratore makes this subject more interesting than what it already is. Even if you're not a science major he makes you engage and understand even the most complex phenomenas! Best professor I've had! I wish he was teaching Bio 220 so I could have him again. He not only makes class fun but easy to learn. He also uses blackboard and PowerPoint notes so you don't have to purchase a text book for the lecture classes. You do need a lab book however. I looked forward to his class. Great professor, he explains everything very clearly. He makes the class fun and he gives a review sheet for each test which is great. If you study everything on the review sheet you will definitely pass. He makes BIO fun and interesting.

Did not know what to expect when I took Biology 210. Prof Paratore combined theory with current situations. He was helpful but made it clear we are all adults and have to take responsibility. Will recommend him to any student.

Professor Paratore is a great professor. Everything is easy and simple. There are week long quizzes every Sun at 7pm that help bring up your grades only 5 ques. You have two chances to take them, and you're given the right answers so no reason to fail. I got a B because I missed 1 out of the 2 lab reports but quizzes and exams I got 100s and 90s.

Just finished his class - he's the bomb - take him for BIO 110 and you will be so happy you did. He's relaxed and doesn't mind if you come late and he drops and exam and gives you 10 (that's right 10!) take home quizzes to boost your score in class. Only a lazy person could fail his class.

Ive never taken a science class before him anx managed to get an A-. To pass his class all you have to do is study what he tells you to. He gives you a clear review sheet. He doesn't car about stupid stuff like lateness& cellphones, he just cares that you understand the topics. I wish he taught bio 220. You only need to buy the lab book.

Professor Paratore's classes are fun and interesting, plus He makes the classes easy to pass. The one problem you might have are His lecture slides. They don't contain much information, and I think He could make them a little more comprehensive. So, you would need to pick up a book every now and then. Outside the slides, you should take His class.

I took Bio 210 as a mandatory class on Saturdays at 8:00AM.I expected a boring class. To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Paratore makes this class very entertaining, and dynamic. Thus, students can not get bored-not matter the day or the time is taken. Make sure you go to class, take good notes. Do all lab outlines and take the quizzes. You'll pass. -V.

I took his course on Saturdays at 8am and every single lecture and lab are worth going to. He never makes you feel as if your questions are a waste of his time. He also makes the subject relevant to the students and although bio is a subject with many topics, he presents the subject in a logical, understandable and memorable way.

Definitely, an intense course with a lot of information to cover during Lecture as well as Laboratory is a must and if you miss any day then you end up missing vital information and participation. I over all thought it was a pretty good course, our professor gave pretty good Lectures and he assisted everyone during lab he was pretty patient.

Dr. Paratore is one of the best teaches I have had at BMCC. He does a great job making biology interesting. My only criticism is maybe some prep before class just so the student can get into the mindset of that week's topic. This can be done via article or video (khan academy) on that week's lecture.

I had him in the Spring of 2023. As much as I wish he would've bumped my B- up 1.67% to a B, I can't exactly hold him accountable as he was already extremely accommodating throughout the semester. He does care and is already very lenient on everyone and a very generous grader. The class was as easy as can be for a biology course honestly.

He truly cares about his student, is an understanding person,& provides review sheets before every exams that way it's very unlikely to have a low score if you take the review sheets seriously& study through.
