Prof. Paratore is well spoken & funny. He makes the class content exciting & fun. Science can be a hard subject to grasp. Prof. Paratore, however, makes the subject easy to understand. If you have to take a science class I recommend that you take it w/him. He is worth every penny. You won't regret having him. He's simply the BEST(emphasis added)!

He's quite helpful, easy to understand and has the best sense of humor I've experienced in a while but you shouldn't take that as a sign to do nothing at all. He teaches you everything you need to know to pass so its up to you to do the work. If you fail, it means you really didn't do anything because this guy will help you if you ask for help.

Nice Professor, even for students who are not really interested in science and they are art majors he can make it interesting. He teaches with a sense of humor so the time pass quickly. He's a great professor. He makes all the learning material super clear. He'll tell you the things you need to learn for the mid term and finals. Be careful with the final lab exam though you really need to study all the anatomical names of the models and pigs. All the quizzes are online and you have to be responsible enough to do them on time.

He is an amazing professor. This is my first year in college, and I am glad he was my professor. Just take good notes and pay attention to the lectures and easy grades for his exams and labs.

I absolutely love Professor Paratore! He's extremely resourceful and gives you everything you need to succeed in the class. I would've gotten an A if I completed my department assignment and didn't miss two quizzes so the fact that I still got a B+ tells you this is not a hard class to pass. GET THE TEXTBOOK but don't buy the lab book!

He grades all submitted work within the week it's submitted, and he doesn't assign an overload of work. I would 100% take his class again.

He's a good professor. He made an already interesting topic more interesting and funny as well. I had two classes in this short semester and I definitely enjoyed his class more. Syllabus is very detailed. It is clear what is asked from you. Stay on top of due dates. Do the review sheet as lecture goes on and you will do great.

Professor Paratore is just an overall chill person. He is straight to the point with no complications when he teaches and explains the class. He always answers any questions you have either in between the class or if you are shy than he will stay with you after class to explain. No way you can fail his class unless you weren't paying attention.

I promise you you wont regret taking him. I was scared of taking bio bc I suck at it. I thought I would get a C or lower. I was stressed about this class. He made it easier. Dr. Paratore is so chill and hes funny too. His lectures are fun and informative. I learned a lot. His test questions are directly from his powerpoints so as long as you study and read then youll pass. His quizzes and final exams were very easy for me and everything was based from his PowerPoint slides. Unfortunately he doesnt teach SCB 204, I would have chosen him again without any doubt. His teaching was phenomenal, for someone who often struggles to pay attention in class, his lectures managed to keep me focused. All exam materials were from the presentations and meetings, no surprises. Everything was super clear in this class and he made the space feel comfortable, he was accepting and answered every question asked.

Took him online during covid, he was really understanding. If you are confused about any of the assignments he will help. Lectures were funny, I took this class at 8 am and was actually able to stay awake the whole class time. Take him if possible!!!

I took his SCB 101 class and I have never been someone who enjoys science in the slightest but professor Paratore made class in the middle of a pandemic FUN. I highly recommend his class. You wont be disappointed.

I've no words to describe how grateful I am for this prof. The way he teaches is so natural and easy to understand. While I was facing a quite uptight LAB professor, Prof Paratore was giving great lectures and making sure we were set up for success. He was truly the reason I didn't drop SCB203. I am so grateful to have Prof. Paratore this semester. I've taken this class for Fall 2 so the classes were shorter than usual. He is very thorough of what is expected of you and goes by syllabus. His tests are class time length and the quizzes are available for 2 days so no excuse to miss it. Great professor!

He's an extremely easy going guy and really funny. Personally I thought his lectures were always extremely interesting. He also allows students to record his lectures which I highly recommend as a lot of what he says does end up being in the finals. Be sure to do all your labs, quizzes, and written assignment.

Prof. Paratore was such a cool, laid back prof. He did not ask for too much assignment-wise. I took this class during the 6 week session and it was a breeze. But please, do not be like me! His sarcasm may offend some, in class, during quizzes, and even exams I found myself laughing so hard!Some jokes went over students' heads perhaps due to the age/culture difference but Prof Paratore is respectful of students' personal opinions/experiences.I learned real-life applications to intro bio concepts. If mandatory, just take it!

Honestly so enjoyable as a teacher, even as someone with no interest in STEM and had to do this as a requirement, he made me want to come back to class and keep learning. The workload wasn't hard either, just make sure you keep up with at home assignments and you'll be good.

I just finished taking his SCB 103 class as a senior in high school for college now at Laguardia and I must say that he's one of the best professors out there because he makes the slides very understandable and has good humor, which made the class more calm for me.
