He's also really cute so you'll pay more attention than you would in any other class. He's relaxed and funny so the guys are able to connect with him. Great Professor, treats his students as his friends and equals which makes the class three times more fun and interesting. You can easily get an A...had a paper and presentation on the paper and had 10 quizzes each out of 10 points taken from the notes...great professor

Definitely the coolest professor at LIU. He's fair, covers the material, and never leaves a student behind. Don't be afraid to ask questions or crack a joke every now again with the Professor. I am facing medical and financial issues attending class but he is quick to help and give advice not once judging me. Only advice I can give you is STUDY!

Professor Paratore is by far the best biology professor L.I.U has to offer. Nobody wants to wake up early to go to an 8am bio. Class, but his class is worth it! He makes class so interesting and fun. Tests are RIGHT off the notes & he reviews everything before. You have to study to get an A, and his weekly online quizzes boost your grade. Take him!

Unlike most professors you can tell he genuinely cares about his students's grades. He grades fairly if not better and his quizzes and tests make it hard for you to get anything less than an A. Professor Paratore is a very great and knows his stuff. He reads and explains the PowerPoint slides and procedures in lab. He also does a review for lecture and lab exams by giving the topics that will be on it and gives a few of the answers. All of the other answers can be found in his notes and the textbook. His tests are not hard. No stress!

Professor P is not only the funniest, but one of the best science teachers i have ever had. He is clear and to the point in all of his notes and lectures; and the notes are pretty much the tests. He tells you everything you need to know for the tests, no more, no less and the tests are all done on blackboard, with mostly multiple choice questions, so they couldn't be any easier, I definitely recommend him.

His class is easy as long as you listen and study. He allows you to record his lecture, which you should do. He loves to joke around a bit, but it's helpful at the same time too as some materials click when you think back at the jokes. His test consists of multiple choice, true and false, at times questions with more than one answer, and bonus.

He is a great professor. All his lectures are clear and he explains them in depth. All the lectures are available on Blackboard so there really is not a need for the textbook. Lectures are straight from Blackboard. I would deff take him again.

This professor is amazing I never like Biology and after finish with his class in the Spring 2015 he challenges me to take more biology classes. Amazing lectures and he condense the textbook in more a simpler form so if you are scared of reading the biology book you would not instead he put online PowerPoints on backboard for you.

THIS CLASS WAS THE BEST! Professor Paratore is Hilarious and he tries his best to explain everything in a funny sarcastic way which helps a lot. He lets you record him and he always puts up the notes online. Easy A if you pay attention in class and make sure you take note on what he says is coming on the test, because he's not kidding about that.

Great Professor, explains everything clearly during lecture. He even says some of the exam questions during class. He's also extremely funny. On exams there's extra credit and one of the exams is always dropped. Come to class & pay attention to what he focuses on and you could easily earn yourself an A. Highly Recommend him for Bio 3.

Professor Paratore was a great teacher and worth the 8am class he made it very interesting and always made jokes. All the tests are on blackboard and he gives you the notes in a powerpoint presentation which is very nice because you can always go back and look at the notes. For Final uses tests you have already taken and you can study from these.

Paratore makes the class fun and engaging. His exams are pretty straightforward but he can go into details so you have to know your stuff. He does give a review sheet (it may or may not be helpful depending on how you prefer to study). I find it not so helpful because I would generally study from the review sheet and miss on little details.

For lab test, you have its best to have the lab book and do the lab report which will help out in the lab test... the grading goes like this.. 25% lecture quiz, 15% final, 10% connect, 30% lab exams, 20% lab reports. Good Professor. Knows what he's talking about. The only way you fail his class is if you don't show up or don't do the work. Beware of weekly QUIZES, they make up %40 of your grade. The quizs come strait from the slides he provides (shouldn't be hard). He's a nice guy, aprochable, willing to help. All in all its hard to do bad his class.

Not only is he funny but he also really knows his material. Watch out for the online quizzes through - there is one every week, only for that week. For his exams, do the review sheet and you should be fine. It is minimal work, and as long as you attend lectures, do the work, and study for his exams then you should ace his class.

Regardless of what course he teaches, please take him. Exams are taken in computer lab. You are graded by exactly EVERYTHING in syllabus. His exams are not tricky, there are solely based upon information from lecture and lab. If you stay up to date with what is expected of you, you will get an A! Online quizzes will def help to improve grade also!

One of my favorite professors ever, PowerPoints are posted online and class is mostly lectures but lectures are entertaining and funny. Lightly grades 3 page paper every other week but midterm and final count for a decent part of your grade and are harder than you would expect. Even if you do bad on the midterm it is possible to come back.
