Great professor. Explains everything very clearly so a full understanding of the material can be attained. Really tries to make you do well and once required work is done one will do well in this class and fully understand material. Good experience throughout the semester and a great amount of knowledge attained.

Professor is very clear, no fluff! That means you are not expected to process material that won't be covered on quizzes and exams.

If you want an enjoyable biolab, he's the guy for you! He is hilarious and connects with you even if you're doing poorly in class. He's an easy guy to approach and very laid back. He gives good advice and backs you up if he feels the TAs misgraded your report. He's one of the best biolab professors you'll ever meet.

Entertaining and funny, but also very concise and straight-forward. He tells you exactly what you need to know. He answers questions clearly and is very laid back. However, the TAs are responsible for grading and they can make or break the class.

He's a very cool prof. Makes jokes to keep the class interesting. The thing i dont like about his class is that there will be pop quizzes. If you have a good memory of what he said at the beginning of class you should be fine. His quizzes are okay. Find some be simple and some to be challenging. However that applies to most prof. Overall good prof.

HOLY CRAP! I was just watching the movie, American Psycho. Paratore looks and talks like Patrick Bateman. Just take his class, this guy is pretty funny.

This professor is one of the few that actually knows how to deliver the material effectively . His comedy and creative use of comparisons to explain the material make his class worth every minute. Overall a great professor.

I thought this class was going to be hard especially taking it in a short session but this professor made the class fun and kept it interesting. The test & quizzes were all fair. I definitely recommend this professor.

Lab class itself is horrendous. I'm not sure if having a whacky professor made it better or worse. Expect weekly quizzes. Paratore explains the material pretty clearly and answers your questions well. Lab class was mostly determined by TAs so I recommend taking him for upper level class where there might be more interaction.

This professor was just for my laboratory section and honestly I wish he was my professor for everything. He is such a great guy and made the material straight forward and funny. A three hour lab on a Monday night didn't seem bad at all after knowing him as professor. Take this section of lab, he's the easily the best you'll have.

As many others have said, I really with this guy was my professor for everything, he's incredibly funny and straightforward in lectures and precise in explanations. He made my liking for biology even more than prior and now I'm planning on taking biology 2, which isn't a required class. Take this guy! He's the best professor I've had at Poly

Had him for two semesters as my lab professor. He's a fun guy to talk to and his mini lectures before lab are short and to the point. He tells you what you need to know and makes the class fairly simple. Pretty awesome professor.

Paratore is awesome. He's cynical and self-depreciating, but when everyone's stuck in a lab for 3 hours, the humor is needed and appreciated. The lab quizzes require a solid understanding of the previous and current lab procedures, and are very straightforward. Definitely would recommend Paratore as a professor.

Paratore is a funny guy. I would definitely take him again. He makes your 6pm lab on a Monday night much more interesting. We can relate to his short yet interesting lecture as well.

Professor Paratore was hilarious. He made coming to 6-9 LAB on a monday night super fun and kept everyone engaged. To be honest, I was dreading taking Bio lab in my senior year, but with his fun way of making labs interesting, I wasn't tempted to skip at all (can't say the same for my other chemistry lab though, ugh).

He definitely makes being in the BMS department worth it. The class itself isn't terribly hard, and the quizzes are fair enough, nothing you wouldn't expect and if you didn't then that's your own fault. Hilarious and caring professor really hoping NYU will keep him full-time.

Great professor! Not many of the professors you will have in college can make a three hour lab at 6pm on a Monday an enjoyable experience, but I must say that Prof. Paratore knows how to do just that. He is straight forward with what you need to know and keeps the classes light hearted with his witty humor. I would highly recommend him!

Paratore made me love lab even more. He makes the horrible time slots worth it with his awesome humor integrated into his teaching styles. It makes the labs go smoothly and enjoyably. Paratore is the BEST lab professor in the BMS department, for sure. His pre-lab discussions are clear and helpful. He obviously knows what hes talking about but doesn't put too much pressure on us. Two thumbs way way up!

Dr. Paratore is wonderful! He always made lab so much less intimidating and easy-going than other professors. Everything is always explained thoroughly and clearly during lab. His quizzes can be tough if you don't know your stuff but it's nothing too crazy & it's manageable if you put effort into doing your lab reports.

He had a very unique method of teaching to students. He makes you feel very comfortable with him but at the same time respect that he is your professor. It is really up to you and your motivation whether you get something out from his course because he covers what is just necessary

It's expected as a biomolecular science student that nothing comes easy. Lab reports are difficult at first. The first three or four will be bad. Once you get the hang of it, you begin to become happier. It'll be hard, and there's no doubt about it, but you get through it. Professor Paratore is amazing. He's smart, witty and fun. HE IS THE MAN!!!!!! TAKE HIM IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY!!! He's one of the best lab professors in this school. His practicals are extremely fair as are his weekly quizzes. Lab reports are tough, but you'll get the hang of it by the fourth week or so.

Prof. Paratore is honestly the best professor I have had since I've been here. He's extremely helpful when you ask for help and his quizzes and practicals are extremely fair. If you have the chance, you should definitely take his class. It will be worth it.

Paratore is one of the most direct professors out there. He knows what he's talking about and cuts right to the chase during lab. I would take him again, in fact I am taking him again next semester. If you get a bad grade on a lab, he will outline exactly what you did wrong. If you fix the things he tells you to fix, you will do well in the class!

if you have to take this lab, take paratore. he's the only professor i've had who acts like a normal person with a sense of humor, and he actually makes a 3 hour 8 am lab survivable.

He is hilarious and straightforward in comments and feedback. As long as you follow the rules (on time to class, bring lab coat, pass quizzes, and do all lab reports) you will be fine.

Paratore is by far the chillest dude in the whole BMS department. He tells you that he's not trying to make your life hard because he's not. He is one of the few professors at Tandon that is aware of the fact that you have other obligations and like... a life. I'll be taking him for lab as often as I can.

If you want an easy A, take his class. As long as you what he asks, you will be fine. And also he is super funny!!!

Professor Paratore was a is a great teacher and very fair grader. His prelabs are very engaging and he explains the concepts for the labs well. His grading is really easy: if you put time into your labs, you will get good grades, if not, don't expect A's. A "B" effort will receive a "B" for a grade.

Really straightforward teacher. He tells you exactly what he wants and as long as you put some effort into doing that you will get good grades on the lab report/quizzes. Make sure to read the lab manual for the quizzes.

Best lab professor you will have ever. Dude is super chill and always jokes around. But beware that if you are taking BMS 2004 Lab with him, your grade may be affected by Tommy Lee because he always lowers Paratore's grades at max by 5%.

Super great professor! One of the very few professors at Tandon who genuinely try to make the student's lives a little easier. Super funny during lab and always makes sure people are engaged. He's a very lenient grader so as long as you do the work he'll give you a good grade. Definitely planning on taking him in a future biology class

Mr. P is THE BEST for any sort of bio lab. I took him for BMS-UY 1001 and he is a VERY easy grader. He is super funny and jokes around with the class. Honestly, just do the criteria for the labs (really easy criteria), show up, read the textbook before class and you're good. I will be taking him for Physio Lab as well. Highly recommend!

If you have the chance, PLEASE TAKE HIS CLASS. Professor Paratore is the best professor I've had this semester. He is so funny and explains every topic during lab in a way that is super understandable. His labs are mostly focused on format rather than content. The practical at the end of the semester isn't bad, he provides a review before it.

Most goated professor. Take him 100%. Its hella intimidating at the start but he's the goat. Just put in the work and your guarenteed an A. I don't consider myself the brightest and I still dropped a high A in his lab. Just make sure you don't slack off.

If you are doing the intro to bio lab or the intro to physio lab TAKE PARATORE. He's such a fair grader and makes the lab environment overall less intimidating because of his humor and knowledge. For the quizzes as long as you read the textbook and make a decent lab report you should be fine! Goodluck!

Best professor I've ever had. He's awesome and keeps content interesting. Knows how to talk to a crowd unlike every other professor at Tandon.

Literally the most amazing professor, nyu is stupid to not be paying him enough to have him as a full time professor he's the best professor I've ever taken. The labs are engaging and the lectures are funny and fascinating and every graded thing is completely clear. There are no stupid questions in his class its impossible!

Paratore is such an engaging professor, and his lectures are super interesting. His PowerPoints are very straightforward, and he's hilariously instructional. 10/10 recommend.
