Great teacher. Easy to get along with nice personality. Very helpful

Excellent teacher. Encourages growth and personal thoughts. Grades essays mostly on grammatical errors. Main goal is to get people involved in learning very understanding/empathetic.Conducts each class on that class's progress. Will not accept non-partic.

Makes English more interesting and he DOES know what he's talking about. He is very talkative and is goofy lol. He encourages people to participate (which is what he likes the most). He doesn't grade too bad and mostly likely, if you show up most of the time, you'll get a good grade.

Best teacher in Oxnard college. Not only is he a great teacher but he is very funny and laid back he give many students breaks on work. And the best part is that you will actually learn in his class. I took three eng. classes and received all A's and I would miss lots of class.

All in all, one of the best professors at Oxnard College. He is well educated and concerned for his students' education. He is challenging enough, but maintains a level of humor at all times. Overall, I'd give him a 9.6 on the richter.

he is the most awesome profesor!He is passionate about english and he will help bring out the best in you..he teaches you soo much about english, grammar, and life in general; it is a very deep course. he is hilarious too! very refreshing so that makes you want to go everyday.

Coolest professor ever, he is very funny always making a joke out of life and him self, will make sure you get material the way it should be and will be glad to help if any questions...hes just an awsome teacher!

Take this professor for English. I promise you won't be disappointed. Hes humorous (at times!) and I really enjoyed his class. I learned a lot as well.

I've taken TWO 6:30 AM classes with Mr. Rodriguez. I don't know how anyone's brain works that early in the morning but he pumps you up and gets you excited about learning new things. Take him, you won't be sorry!

Extremely helpful during office hours. He awarded ten extra credit points for the first office visit of the semester. AROD was an interesting instructor. He loves what he does and he is great at it. He sets you up for Accomplishment! Take him.

A-Rod is a motivating individual! I loved having such a dedicated and motivated professor as my educator! I wish he taught everything escause I would register until he retired from academia! The only professor that removes himself from the class room to stand for the evening retreat or TAPS of the American flag! I love this guy!

Hands down THE BEST PROFESSOR at Oxnard College. He is the nicest, most caring and highly intelligent individual that I have ever met. You will learn so many new things. It's not a hard class if you try your best. All he's looking for is your effort to improve. Talk to him, he cares and by week 18, you'll be wishing for 19 weeks!

There was three papers which were required to be 2 1/2 - 3 pages long. He also made time to revise or answer any questions regarding the current paper. Also, the readings were easy because they are discussed during class.

best english professor on this campus! he made the 3 hour long class go by so quickly every time. he likes to crack jokes all the time, makes the class really fun and his lectures are easy to understand and was a very easy class to pass as well. just do the work, show up and you should get a solid good grade.

Mr. Rodriguez is by far the best English professor I have ever had. He is great at simplifying tough reads and guides you to write the best that you can. LOVED his sense of humor. He is very understanding and willing to work with you. Will most definitely take him in the future.

Rodriquez is A GEM!!!! He's so funny, kind, and caring. There's never a dull moment in his class!! The class is composed of essays and a journal. It's pretty simple. He's willing to help anyone who needs extra help.

Professor Rodriguez is great. You do have to do a couple of papers, so get ready for that. His class isn't too bad. As a class, you go through the readings with him and he makes sure you understand everything so it's easier to write the paper. You do have to do a journal so don't get behind on that. Overall, I recommend his class.

I'm so glad I chose this class with Professor Rodriguez. He has so much experience in life and passes along the lessons learned. I highly recommend taking Professor Rodriguez's class. He is a really great Professor. There are no test in his class. You do have a couple essay to do 3-5 pages long. Also, make sure you don't procrastinate with the journal it will be a lot easier for you at the end of the semester.

I loved how energized he was as a professor because it just got me more excited to hear what he had to say. He also likes to incorporate some real life issues into his mini lectures.

Rod is the best professor i have had so far. when he lectures about the readings we do and just anything, he really makes you think. hes also very caring and lets you revise your essays. just make sure to do ALL of your essays. hes also an easy grader if he sees that you are really trying. 100% would recommend.

Professor includes interesting stories into our lessons whenever he has the chance to. He's also pretty funny, homework is to write in our journal that we do turn in at the end of the semester. He has really helped me write essays much faster with the outline format he has taught us. Will make sure class understands the readings before moving on !!

Mr. Rodriguez is a great professor. I take this class at 8AM, but I look forward to his class. He explains thoroughly, stops to ask questions and makes sure the class feels comfortable before moving forward. He is easy to speak with and loves questions. Genuinely a great person and even better professor. Has absolutely made writing essays easier.

Prof. Rodriguez is the best English Professor there is. He lets you choose your topic for essays and he works with you as you develop your essay. He gives awesome feedback on your essays and only takes a week to grade them. He is hilarious and will make you laugh and really goes in depth in his lectures. I really recommend taking him he is awesome.

Probably the best professor I had my first semester!

Took this class Fall 2021. I believe he said that its usually a bit harder but he changed it a little because of the pandemic. We only had four papers the whole semester because he doesnt believe in busy work. You can redo your paper as many times as you want and turn in late work. All he wants is for you to succeed!! Definitely recommend.

Very easy course and caring professor. Only had 4 papers throughout the semester and doesn't give any homework other than to just focus on your essays.

Professor Rodriguez is awesome. I took R101 in person and the lectures were easy to follow especially with his occasional jokes. The workload is definitely manageable, only a few papers to write and he walks you through them all. I would definitely recommend taking his class if you want an easy A.

He's great! He's not super picky about grading and is actually really caring of his students. He genuinely wants everyone to pass. 4 required essays throughout the entire semester. Because it's only 4 assignments, each one is about 25% of your grade, but don't worry! They're easy to complete, each being 4 pages. Good luck! Easy A class.

Such a witty and straightforward professor! The grade was based on 3 long essays and the final paper. Every assignment had simple criteria and they were fascinating to do. You are bound for success if you are engaged in the class and complete the essays.

Highly recommend this course and professor to any first year student or student who needs more time to do work. Arod is possibly one of the best professors I've ever had. His assignments and the final are all 100 points each. But the best part is that he gives you a MONTH to complete the reading and the assignment. Reading is less than 2 chapters.

(ENGL R111 - Shakespeare) Being the first year Prof. Rodriguez has taught a class of pure Shakespeare, he did an amazing job of introducing each work to my class, elaborating on topics, elucidating conceptions, and is easily the best professor I have had thus far. Cheers to him and his career.
