He makes you run, stretch, and play hard. If you want an easy gym class to just get an A and thats it dont take him. You have to really try and be there. I liked him though(try to be a favorite)

A nice guy but not all that helpful if you have a question unless you happen to be a female. A guy his age hitting on female students is a bit unbecoming for a teacher. Runs easy classes, just show up every day and on time.
Considering that I love basketball and that he's the basketball coach, I loved this class. But do yourself a favor, if you're not a basketball player don't take the class, you ruin it for the rest of us. He's a pretty cool guy and gives good tips if you are an experienced player.
I tried taking two diff. classes with him, and dropped both of them(my only drops ever)I missed some classes the first time because of chemo and he told me I couldn't pass, and the 2nd time I played on a school sport and he refused to excuse me for my games and said I could only get a C even after my coaches talked to him. he sux run for your life

This guy is horrible sucks ....Doesnt know what he talks about and he makes more mistakes then speaks the truth alot of his test questions are ridiculous they are soo confusing like for example how many times should you work out a week in class he said 4 on the test he put A) 1 B. 4 or more c 4 ........guess what it was four what a dumb question..

I enjoyed the class. The way Professor Zajac teaches is simply a no nonsense approach to health and fitness. Very knowlegeble about the subject...can be anal about lateness and absences to class but overall he is an excellent teacher.

for a gym class, you cant go wrong with any teacher. you just show up and you pass no matter what. this guy made me withdraw bc i came in late a few times. i just dont like people like him. his personality. doesnt smile. not a fun loving guy. serious. but if u know u can not be 2-5 mins late a few times, then u should be fine. teacher is not nice.
I don't know why everyone says he's a bad teacher. All teachers get mad when you come late to class. It's rude that's why. He really loves his job and loves his students. I have him now for weight training and i had him last spring for volleyball and as long as you show up on time and show some type of effort... it's an easy A. he's great

He is just a pain! There was this girl with disabilities in our class who could not walk well. He was screaming at her and making her run, he expected her to play like a pro. Poor girl. As goes for me her would not get off my back! Everything had to be done his way. Made fun of students who didnt play well.
I thought he was awesome. I laughed until my side hurt every class, and learned everything easliy. I took him for TWO classes because I enjoyed his class so much.

If you are not in good shape and hate gym, dont choose him for a teacher. If you actually arent a lazy ass and feel like having fun in PE then he is the guy for the job. I had a blast in his class and think hes a hilarious/fun teacher. Get off the couch, and show some effort!
Well Come on hes not that bad. I took him for basketball and Im a girl. Lets just say me and my friend were the only girls in there. he was def hard on us, made us work. But if your responsible, show up to class. DONT MISS ANY. And build a good relationship with him. Youll be fine. HEs a good teacher.

I took lifetime fitness and I can say he encourages all of his students to have a healthy life. If you were Michael Jordan on the basketball field he would difinitely be the COACH! He is passionate about health, physical fitness and eating right. I would take his class again, I found him to be comical with a coach effect.
I took him for weight training, Easy A, he gives you a workout card to write down what you worked out on and if you fill it up, you are golden! The test mostly commen sense and he gives a review sheet. Whatever he says about the test take notes it will be a question on the test. He doesnt bullsh*t so if your serious easy A.

weight training-- easy class dono why ppl hate the teacher. I had fun, got to work out each class. All you have to do it work out and fill out the paper each class that says what you did. If the teacher tells you your doin it wrong listen and youll get an easy A+.
awesome guy. had so much fun in basketball that i took him this semester for team sports and conditioning.
Never lifted weighs before this class. So I was lost the first few days and he doesn't want to help to much if you are a beginner. But after a few classes I picked it up and now enjoy class. Midterm is super easy just listen to what he says in his classes.

i took the life time fitness class with him and overall the class was really easy. you just have to do ALL of the labs and dont miss class more than 2 times. He is really understanding if you have a personal reason to miss class or something and the only two things you have to do besides the labs is a 2pg paper on a gym and the final great class
I took this professor for lifetime fitness. He is very easy and you do wind up learning things about your health and how to get fit. He is very fair and the labs you do are very easy and all done in class. The final is very easy as long as you pay attention in class and take notes. Just don't miss classes on lab days because you cant make them up.
Volleyball- He has high expectations for just a gym class, but it's easy. Go to class, run for 5 minutes and then play volleyball. Show you're interested and you will pass. It's not rocket science, it's a fun productive 50 quick minutes.
Had for volleyball. He was very energetic and he had an easy test at the end of the semester. YOU NEED TO GO TO CLASS. He WILL fail you if you miss more than he says is allowed. Overall great coach and he pushes people to better themselves which is really nice.
If you don't pass your final you will fail the class its 70% of your overall grade.
Professor Zajac is a nice professor but he takes a weight training class way to serious. He is very hard on student and pick up on you in front of everybody. He is obsessed with the gym so if you like to work out and go hard you should take him, but as long as you show up and never miss those 3 days and just pretend to be working out real hard.

Great guy. I lucked out since I am an athlete to begin with. He does tend to pick on students who aren't necessarily in shape. Don't take him if you don't want to be put on the spot.
He really cares about health and fitness. Working out and sports is in his DNA. He's good, just a final thats 30% at the end.

I don't recommend him. He picks on students that are not in shape. Make sure to take lots of notes for this class because everything he says or is on his PowerPoints is on the final. Make sure to do project as well or else you fail. Always attend and participate or it's a fail.
Loved this professor.! He was funny, and he made the class fun! I looked forward to his class. As long as you show up and participate, you will do well. I am taking him again this coming semester! Honestly, he is the only PE teacher I will take from now on!
Zajac wasn't what I was hoping from a weight training professor. He picked on me and a couple of other people the whole semester. If you're not in shape he will make it his mission to be on top of you the whole semester. Left class everyday sore and very self conscious. If you don't lift at the amount that you tested he'll roast you for it.
Let me start by saying that I weigh around 270 pounds. I was honestly worried about having this prof. for my PE course because of people writing about how he picks on the out of shape people. This claim is false as he doesn't pick on people who are out of shape but the people who do not show effort. Overall, Zajac is a great PE professor.

He's really old fashioned and makes inappropriate comments throughout class. He doesn't respect female students and refers to any girl/ woman as "ladies" in a joking tone (like they shouldn't be there because they're girls). The final exam is worth too much of your grade. Save the papers he hands out during the semester! I would take someone else
He is super funny and makes the class interesting. He does not pick on students unless they are being lazy or not listening to his instructions carefully enough. Very nice and fair. Would love to take him again!!
Don't listen to bad reviews about this guy. He is very appropriate and not aggressive towards females at all. He is always there to help show you new exercises and correct your form. Any bad review must be from someone who doesn't try or doesn't listen to his rules.

He gives you a syllabus and an outline, but he doesn't even go through with it. If you miss a lab you are unable to make it up. Make sure to always have extra clothing in your car or locker because he can randomly say you will be going to the fitness center and he won't let you in with "street clothes". Oh and the final is 70% of your grade.
Professor Zajac is an awesome guy and really cares about his students and job. If you don't care or don't try, that will hurt you. He expects you to be active and participate, as he should because they are PE classes. Disregard the awful reviews, if you participate, try hard and show up to class its an easy A. Professor Zajac is a hilarious teacher & definitely knows how to make the class pay attention. There are labs, a paper and a final in his lifetime fitness class. Although he gives out information on paper you should definitely take notes of your own. Professor Zajac certaintly influenced me to stay fit & I gained a bunch of new knowledge in class.
Best professor for gym. some of you guys need to chill. he is not disrespectful towards girls or anyone, and as long as you show up and try you will pass. its GYM like if you can't show up to gym and try in gym maybe you aren't ready for college.... its not high school you can't just sit there and expect to do nothing. just try even if ur not good
He is absolutely one of the rudest professors Ive ever had. Hell point people out in class if theyre out of shape or not good at sports. Hell make sarcastic comments on how today people are out of shape but in his day HE was amazingly fit. Class was fun but he doesnt care about you learning the skills to play or helping you get there.
Grades mostly for participation and effort so show up show out. Very strict attendance policy. Retook him because I had too many absences but I don't regret it one bit my classmates were great. He's a funny guy keeps the class fun. Midterm paper very simple go to a gym give info about it. Final review sheet take notes outside info is a plus.
Awesome person all around. He genuinely cares about health and just wants students to be active. Show up, work out, review for the test and you'll get a good grade. If you sit on your phone and barely try he'll be a little hard on you, but thats pretty obvious. If you don't want to get anything out of your gym class don't take him. fav class by far
So funny and chill. He doesnt make fun of people who are out of shape, he just explains that we should be working out everyday because were young. Hes very nice but talks too much when all we wanted to do was play volleyball. Other than that you should definitely take volleyball with him!
I loved his class. I took Volleyball with him this spring (2019) he is great. Hes funny, and just a wholesome guy. Volleyball was one of my favorite classes I ever took at Suffolk. The whole class got really close. He will push you to be your best. But warning he does make you run a few laps at the beginning of class!!!

Professor Zajac is such a caring, funny and laid back person. He made volleyball class really fun . If you show up and try to play he gives you credit. He emphasizes on how important it is to be physically active. Professor Zajac is amazing I would defiantly take him again.
Basketball is a difficult thing for me to learn but the way he broke down the information and gave us a practice scenario was helpful if you messed up he would have you try again. You need to pay attention in his class and make sure you hand in the Written Assignment that is due. Other than that my friends were great and I had an awesome time.

He's extremely rude. He throws assignments at us without complete explanation and when you try your best hell still end up giving you a poor grade and a very nasty comment on top of that via email instead of telling you ways to do better next time or so. Would highly NOT recommend him.
Im sure he was great in person but DO NOT TAKE his online course. Throws random readings with no coherent order on the blackboard, never sends any emails or notification for when assignments are actually posted. Gives you a reflection that takes 5 minutes to do, then scolds you for not putting enough effort into something like "how to workout"
Horrible decision to take his course. He makes us write essays and doesn't want to us send videos of ourselves working out to show him that we are working out. His feedback on our assignments and emails aren't pleasant. I wouldn't suggest taking his course.
I felt that he was a professor who was not always understanding about submitting assignments through my Suffolk email account.
He is a really really cool and really chill person. It is clear he cares about what he does and he speaks on what he has to say with passion. I have learned more about health and wellness from his course than from my health course.

I took him because I was required to have 2 gym classes. Would not have taken him voluntarily. He is very opinionated and set in his ways. Will give you grief if he doesnt think youre working out hard enough. Very few assignments so if you dont get good grades on them it hurts your grade. Do not recommend if you want a understanding professor.
very rude and tough grader . not specific on what he wants from so called "reflection" assignments. do not waste your time
Took PED175 fully online for 2 cr. There were 5 reflections, but the guidelines were very unclear. The feedback for assignments was either not present or unclear. There were many formatting and grammatical errors in the content. PPT slides would simply list a bunch of terms with no explanation. It's not worth it, take two separate PED classes.
If you expect your Professors to treat you with compassion, to be intelligent, or to even respect you... then I would stay far far away from this man. Zajac is hands down the worst Professor I've had at Suffolk. He has no compassion for other people, constantly spreads misinformation, and frankly is just downright rude. He's a mean dude. AVOID HIM!
We only had 2 assignments and they were easy as pie!!!!! Very clear instructions and questions made this class quick and painless. Professor Zajac is very passionate about fitness.

professor zajac in my opinion a terrible human being. i transfered to his class a week late and was late getting to the next class. bro kicked me out of the class and said i missed 2 class days. even after i explained i had a disability and was making a commute from the seldon campus to grant, he didnt care. i hope they fire this garbage human
do not take any of his courses. He is rude and the least compassionate teacher I have ever met and leaves nasty comments on the assignments with no feedback on how to improve. I also broke my hand during the course and got points off for not being able to do the push up test and was forced to do assisted pushups because I was a girl.
