Dr. Z is extremely nice, funny, and friendly! He is very engaging, and makes class interesting. If you go to lecture, turn in the (easy) homework, and study you will get an A in the course. He does give extra credit occasionally, and is probably one of the nicest professors I've had.

This prof. was one of the best I have had. I took his Gen. Psych class over Maymester and it was very interesting and he was very clear on what the assignments were. He also adjusted the class so that we covered the most amount of material possible without it being overwhelming. Overall a grade A Professor!!!

Professor Zoccolillo was one of the best profs I've ever had by far. He makes class fun, and he is really laid back. He also generously curves exams, almost all of the material comes from his lectures. He also gives a lot of extra credit. He takes attendance every class though... But he makes the course so easy, it's almost impossible to not pass!!

Zoccolillo is such a great professor as well as a great person. He is willing to help you however he possibly can and is very understanding that your life doesn't revolve around his class so makes it not mandatory. If you attend regularly, listen in class (which is not hard since he makes it interesting) and study some you will make an A or B.

Zombies, Facebook, toilets, The Big Bang Theory and so much more. I've never had a professor be so sociable and in tuned with the world around him. He's witty, hilarious, relatable, and all around perfect. Read every once in a while and listen to his lecture on studying. He expects the right amount of effort and is very understanding.

Dr. Z really is cool like everyone says! There is work to do, and tests can be kinda confusing but reading and going to a SI session helps a lot. Dr. Z always seems to be giving extra credit opportunities though.

If you show up and do the work, you will do well in this class. Do not expect to do well on his tests though if you are just reading the book or getting notes from someone. Super interesting lectures and discussions and class is actually fun (sometimes). Responds to questions quickly and wants his students to do well.

Amazing professor! I didn't exactly put my best foot forward this semester therefore I don't have the grade I wanted but rather than going off to another professor I plan to take him again and this time ace it. He's relatable and easy-going; there really are few legitimate professors left like him. Now planning to be a psych minor.

Very good professor. The lectures are interesting, and the tests are all online. The tests are open notebook, so having the book ready with bookmarks is essential. The tests aren't too hard, and if you read the book and attend class you will do well. There is a ton of extra credit throughout the semester.

Prof. Zoccolillo is amazing! There are four online tests and a final. He drops the lowest test grade. Expect homework every week but it is easy work. His lectures are really interesting and will help you pass. He give out a lot of extra credit if you are willing to do it. Just do the assignments and study for the online tests and you'll do well

This was a great class. The professor is funny and always full of energy, and the lectures are interesting. The tests are online, so you can literally have your notes sitting right in front of you. He does give out lots of homework assignments online, and reading the textbook will help you pass. I thought this class was easy and very enjoyable.

Took Zoccolillo for my Core Curriculum; PSYCH 2301. His lectures get boring sometimes, but if you pay attention they're actually pretty interesting. He gives enough extra credit to move up a whole letter grade. His tests are online and aren't hard at all. I would definitely take him again!

His tests and quizzes are hard! Everything comes straight from the textbook. There are quizzes every week and two tests. There is also responses due every week. Not much homework, but you have to work for the grade. Your grade is based on two tests, 4 quizzes, and responses. gives a makeup quiz and an exam if you skipped it or failed one.

He's a good lecturer. His work/quizzes were easy. There's a lot of reading! His test are challenging but you will do good if you thoroughly read the material. Although I enjoyed his lectures, I didn't find them to be helpful on tests, the book helps you the most! And there's a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it.

Amazing lectures. He inspired me to change my major to psychology. The first day is intimidating but dont let it discourage you the class is fairly easy pay attention to the interesting lectures and take the tests online minimal studying and I got an A!

Dr. Z was one of my absolute favorite professors. He made Psych so fun, and his lectures were my favorite part of my week. He's hilarious if you listen closely. He's super easy to talk to, and although his office hours are few and far between, he goes out of his way to make sure the students can meet with him. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Z is a great professor for an online course! Although his material could be challenging at times, he is very good at clarifying any material that you may have trouble with. He has homework assignments on Wiley, discussion posts, and weekly quizzes. He also had 2 tests that had 100 questions. He allows lots of time to complete assignments.

I absolutely love Professor Zoccolillo!! He always relates his lectures to real life experiences. It helps if you read ahead so you have some background! Not much work load just manage your time and make sure you study. I would definitely take him again in a heartbeat

He offered a ton of extra credit and all of the tests were online, but even if you have really good notes, you have to make sure you are updated on where he is at in the book. Quizlet was a life saver. Other than that it was a really enjoyable class!

Dr. Z's class was amazing. I would highly reccomend taking him! His lectures were very interesting, and he's very knowledgeable about the topics. Always answered any questions throughout class and made the topic more understandable. Assignments are not hard, you just have to sit down and get them done.

Hes really kind and does want to make sure you do your absolute best. Tests were open book and open notes if you take them in person and not online proctored. Lectures come with PPTs but I didnt take notes just listened and got a B+. Deadlines are set in stone! Only reason I got a B+ was cause I missed an assignment by an hour.

Dr. Z is the best professor I have ever had! His lectures are incredibly fun and interesting, and are essential for doing awesome on the exams! Exams were open book; they are based on application. Don't think you can skip lecture and use the book to pass exams, because you likely won't. He makes learning psych like you aren't learning at all!

I would absolutely recommend Prof. Zoccolillo. He has been nothing but wonderful. He's great at explaining topics and giving you plenty of examples to help your understanding. He's very responsive out of class if you have any questions, and you're graded on your understanding of the knowledge, rather than memorization.

Exams are super straight forward and there are barely any assignments. His lectures are super interesting and funny.

Some of his exams were hard for me personally, but I liked his cross-cultural PSYC class. Lots of articles and book reading, but the course content was interesting. Overall, I recommend Professor Zoccolillo!

I took Professor Z's intro to psych class in the spring, and he was a great professor! I will say though, majority of this class is kind of like a biology class, its not as much about mental health as you would think it is. The very last unit covers that but most of the curriculum is about anatomy and the brain and cognition. Read the textbook!

Really good teacher. He makes PSYC super easy and he actually holds a sense of humor with the class. Only thing I would've changed was how much activity we did. We did little to no interactive things in his class besides provide a yes or a no during lectures or a couple laughs here and there. Overall a pretty good class super easy too

I have taken many classes with Doctor Zoccolillo and I have never been disappointed. He is an amazing professor who truly cares about his students and their successes. Super caring and gives good feedback, has clear rubric for EVERY assignment and they're not hard. Assignments are relevant to topic and the course is organized weekly for each topic.

I took Dr. Z for online, general psych. He was very kind and upfront about all assignments that are due. Lots of reading as it was an online class. The textbook is online and free. I never got below an A on anything, but others did very poorly. You have to keep up with all upcoming assignments and make sure you are a good writer.

Dr. Z might scare you at the beginning, but don't worry it's not as bad as it seems. In lab, you'll be writing a research paper, so it is a lot of work. Lecture tests aren't bad- an online portion and an in-class portion that is basically the review, just a little different, and you can use your review. I recommend taking this class with him. TRUST

The man is a great guy and very passionate about his teaching. If you pay attention and learn, you'll do just fine. The only minor issue is that there's no direct outline for questions on exams, so just study the general concept, and you'll be ok.

Dr. Z makes the class sound harder than it is at the start of the semester, but you'll literally be fine. He can be a little bit all over the place sometimes but overall he is pretty well versed in what he's teaching. Heavily group based when it comes to the Lab portion, but your essay is done in small parts. He provides a free online textbook.
