TERRIBLE TEACHER..AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Extremely condescending, hypocritical and extremely irrational. I could write a book about this one. Hopefully she will be removed from the teaching staff at Montclair. However if she makes it to next year please learn from my mistakes and do not take this teacher.

Had her last semester. Made a point to give u as much grief as possible. Didn't call on you when you raised your hand, did when you didn't. Was weird about all sorts of things like 1st sitting in the back row & then back 2 rows, threatened to kick people out once if didn't move up. Had 7 in her 1 class this yr, prob only 1s who hadn't heard. Avoid!

I wouldn't take her class if it were free

Hands down the biggest waste of time and money I have ever encountered in my life...No wonder why her classes only have three people enrolled in them.

She remains uncontested as the worst educator i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She does not teach she talks at you and expects you to remember. Do not take this class.

This is the worst professor I have ever had. Never ever ever take her.

I feel I learned nothing in this professors class. She just sits in class and makes students repeat the readings, while she does nothing. She does not teach and I wonder if she even knows what she's talking about. The experience in her class was a nightmare

Sadly, I learned nothing on the class I took with Ms. Pole. I do not recommend her at all. She yells and is nasty to her students. do not ever take her

Stay far far away from this instructor. Terrible at teaching, terrible at dealing with students, not helpful, rude and does not know the material she teaches. She rambles and is never prepared for class.

She was a great professor who showed me the way to my future. She makes me want to become her in every way, especially with kindness. She was so helpful and great at teaching, easily the greatest professor at MSU. Would definitely take her again if she was available. She helepd me so much, especially on my grammar and helepd me build my savyness.

She does not explain things clearly. This is 100 level course and she treats it like it is 300 level course. Sometimes she will tell you to show up for her office hours and she won't even be there. There is lots of reading you need to read 3-4 articles per week and they are 20-30 pages long.

DO NOT TAKE HER. You will have to read at least 2-3 articles a week that are at least 20 pages or more. If you don't read them, she will yell at you in front of the whole class. Also, if you don't show up you will be really lost the next classes. She is a really tough grader on essays and isn't very lenient. Stay far away from her.

So far the worst professor I've ever had the misfortune of taking. When people say there's a big workload, that's a huge understatement. She's very disorganized and so meticulous to the point it's overwhelming. The class content itself isn't hard, the hard part is satisfying her. Avoid like the plague.

Prof Pole is a terrible professor! DO NOT TAKE HER! We've to do readings every week. Midterm and final are cumulative. Prof Pole is extremely strict. Prof Pole has no respect for her students. She always yells at our class on something. Response papers are ridiculous and tedious. She gives you no review guides or what topics to study for quizzes.

If you want to feel like in high school again then take this class. She shows no respect for anyone and is super strict. Has seating arrangements like in high school, treats you like little kids, is super unclear, and makes you do things for no reason. She had our class fix our term papers after failing 90% of us only to not change our grades.

I couldn't have imagined hating a class involving politics more, but she managed to push those standards even further. She is intelligent, but she is, overall, an unorganized mess.

the whole class is her just correcting us on how we talk, dictating her high expectations ,her fooling around, and rereading notes and telling us what to underline. The work isnt hard, there is just a lot. Everything that she does in class we can do at home. In fact, its required that we do it at home too. Cant skip coming because attendance

The class was aweful and the professor was awful. I did not learn anything. The professor does not help students, does not answer emails, is very rude and condescending to students. The whole Class is her talking about herself and she does NOT teach. I

Words cannot explain how bad this professor is and I learned nothing in her class. She spends the class time talking about herself and how she likes going for drinks. This professor does not teach AT ALL . Not sure why Msu hasnt fired her.

Please do yourself a favor and do not take this professor. her workload is insane and has no regard for your other classes or personal issues. if you do not allocate several hours a week dedicated to her class you will fail.

While knowledgable on politics and the subjects, as a Professor, Dr. Pole is a letdown. The difficulty from her class is less from course work and more because of her extremely inconsistent grading behaviors. She often changes her mind as to what she wants done. She is condescending and will make you anxious. Good luck if you take issue with her.

Dr Pole has been insane since the first day of class. She forced everyone to print out so many pages of readings all in the first week or else we couldn't come to class. She does not let you get up to go to the bathroom during class unless it is an extreme emergency. She also calls on students without warning. DO NOT TAKE HER PLEASE IM WARNING YOU!

DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY! I repeat.. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! Yes she cares a lot but sometimes it's too much. She will not pass you even if you do put in a lot of effort for her class. At most she will give you is a B+. She is VERYYY condescending and will make you feel dumb when it's just a Gen ed. If you want a stress free semester, don't do it.

The class itself was not difficult, her instructions were unclear but if you spoke to her she would clear it up. However, she was the most condescending and rude prof I've ever encountered. The pressure she puts on you to do exactly as she says in order to get a passing grade even though it is literally a Gen Ed class is ABSURD.

This women is So rude she does not know how to communicate with her students she is one of the most condescending PROFS I have ever met. she claims she has been doing this for 25 years but still is rude and inconsiderate. PLS do yourself a favor and never take a class with her. Oh BTW this was Racial and Ethnicity 102

If you would like to be happy mentally and grade wise I would not take her. The level of narcism is beyond me. All she does is talk about herself, hows she this good and that good but most of your class is failing because of your incompetence to teach a lesson effectively. You will receive petty 0s and be singled out in class constantly. DONT.

VERY RUDE and VERY INCONSIDERATE to her students. She focuses on anything else that doesn't concern her rather than the lesson that she is supposed to be teaching. She is an atrocious grader by being pass/fail. Consider yourself failing since she isn't clear on what she wants. I don't recommend this class to ANYONE. Protect your gpa and stay away!

Just never take a class with her. This was the hardest course I have taken so far and was a gen ed for me. I worked extremely hard to end with an A. If you don't put an insane amount of time into this class, don't expect to do well. She is also very very rude and speaks in a very condescending tone. A majority of my class failed or dropped out

Antoinette is by far the worst professor here at Montclair State. She uses half of the class period to talk about herself. Mostly inappropriate topics like her preferred alcoholic beverages and loves to single out students. She's all over the place with the lectures. She will not let you use the bathroom. Do yourself a favor and avoid this woman.

Even though this is a 100 level gen ed class, she makes it feel like a 400 level English course. She does a good job of explaining the material in her lectures, but that's the only thing she does well. Readings for the class are ridiculously long, and she's the toughest grader when it comes to essays. She is the most inconsiderate prof. I've had.

honestly the worst. should not be teaching. So arrogant, she thinks she is so much better than her students. She is the most unsympathetic, uncaring instructor. She is intolerant of anyone disagreeing with her. We were afraid of getting shut down or ridiculed, She talked alot about pricey restaurants and trips. Time for her to retire.

If you aren't super disciplined this class is not for you at all! She is very particular, gives a lot of work, and a harsh grader. So, proceed with caution if you have to take her, I think there were 10 people who stayed in the class.

This professor was by far the worst professor. she made me rethink whether I wanted to continue being in college or quit. she affected my mental health a lot. she is beyond rude and she will single you out. she would get mad if no one answered her and shell make you pop up at meetings to edit your papers, if not, you fail. hardest class. stay away

She is a tough grader. Does not cooperate with her students. I tried emailing her so many times to fix my paper grades but her only response was contact the tutoring department. Literally a pain in the neck.

This is a warning please by all means avoid this woman. She clearly hates her profession and will take it out on you by all means avoid her. She treats a level 100 course like a senior seminar. The text book definition of a power tripper. This is your warning to avoid at all costs. Would give her a negative grade if possible

This professor takes a 101 class and makes it harder than a capstone. She is so disconnected from reality and her expectations from a 101 class are absurd to say the absolute least.

She asked for so much not understanding that we still have other classes to take. All she cares about is Chicago citation, you basically teach yourself the material. Puts out readings you need to read, then you either have a discussion post or reading questions to answer. A 20+ Page paper that is due in the middle of the semester.

This professor was probably one of the worst professors I have ever had at MSU, she is very rude when it comes to the way she writes group emails to the class. We had assignments due on Fridays and she expected each homework assignment to be about 5 pages when every student has other classes to worry about. All she cares about is your citations.

Does not care about her students, insane amount of homework. Takes weeks to grade something, so if you did something wrong 3 weeks ago, most probably you will continue doing it wrong, since you do not get feedback right away. Terrible professor.

Used some rude sayings when speaking. is not considerate at all. won't allow you to use the restroom until at least a hour into class. say some pretty rude remarks. grading is completely unfair and will give you a 0 even if you hand in your assignments. Make sure you know Chicago style citation and references before taking the course.

Really a horrificaly bad professor who think she's accomplishing something by tormenting her students. She'll force you to redo work for a higher grade even if you refuse. Honestly, if you are forced to take her class go to the dean to dispute her. She is a ridiculous professor and a terrible person who thinks she's doing you a service.

I really didn't think she'd be as bad as people said, but she's worse. She takes a whole month to grade papers and is extremely rude. She won't let you in class if you're late or out to use the bathroom. Way too many assignments and papers are hard, will take off points for simple errors, freaks out about formatting, will call you out in class.

i was sick of her the whole semester, so stressing so many work to do for this easy class, it felt like I'm taking a major class and its not! Dont take her specially if you have more than 4 classes you cant handelle it so much things to do I had six classes when I took her class which was one of them I literally was crying all day every week!!!!!!

Please do not take her; instead, run !! So much work to do, so many emails, she doesn't give kindness to her students, you feel like no matter what you do she's not happy, be prepared to print all of the readings or she won't let you in class. Every week, there will be a quiz!! paper to submit before class while also studying for the quiz!!!!!

Professor Pole is a very tough professor. She is a hard grader and expects you to meet with a tutor if your citations are wrong. Every week you have long long modules to complete. The readings are very heavy as well. She plays favoritism.

Literally the worst professor ever. She's gonna make you print so many papers and would kick you out if you don't have them.

Not a difficult course but annoyingly difficult professor. Treats grown adults like children, popcorn reads within a college course setting. Imagine telling a grown adult that using the bathroom on their own time will disrupt class too much. Does not belong within a college setting. STAY FAR AWAY...WHOLE CLASS DESPISES PROFESSOR

This professor is the worst professor I've ever had in my life. very 2 faced, she makes you print so many pages of readings or get kicked out, exams are tough, assigns a new essay every class, and if your essays aren't good enough she doesn't grade it and forces you to revise it, and popcorn reads the whole time. Boring and doesn't teach

be prepared to do lots of writing assignments, she takes far to long to submit grades. I DO NOT RECOMMENED cant stress it enough if you hate group work. professor will constantly come at you for revisions on assignments that were due a week before with also expecting you to do the assignments due that same week.

Dr. Pole is not an easy going professor. You can do the absolute best on your paper, but nothing is ever good enough for her. She will drain you and suck the spirit out of you. If you're taking her course, I'm warning you, drop it. She will set you to failure. You can pass all your courses, but failing just her class jeapordizes everything.

If you are taking Dr. Pole, drop her class and take a different professor. Dr. Pole put me through a lot. She stressed me out so much, she will make you write a thousand word papers and make you keep revising until it is perfect in her eyes. She will drain you a lot. Because of her, my GPA is nearly jeopardized. Do yourself the favor and leave.

RUN!!! Your grade relies on these "C-assignments " that require constant group work. You will feel like no matter the work you do it'll never be enough. She'll always find something to complain about & she'll call you out in front of everyone. super rude, & hypocritical, takes forever to grade, requires revisions but won't leave comments for you.

So far the worst professor I've had shell make you do so many essays and won't grade them if she sees a mistake instead of at least give you some credit she'll give you a 0 won't give you breaks through the class and will call you out in front of everyone the essays are never good enough for her if you're thinking of taking her I would say no RUN!

I genuinely have never had a worse professor. DO NOT take this class. For every paper I have submitted, she gives me a 0 and then makes me revise them. And then the revisions still aren't good enough. I have never had so many requirements for a paper in my entire life. If you want to pass, I suggest running from her. She treats me like I'm 5.
