I absoultely love professor ramirez! Already took two clases with him and look forward to a 3rd! His lectures are interesting and makes you want to pay attention. Love his style of teaching. Reaction papers arent that bad and tests and quizzes are easy if you know and study the material. Defenitally suggest taking him if you can!

Professor Ramirez is the best teacher I've ever had! I've taken 3 classes with him already while at ecc and i wish i could take him again! Lectures are interesting and he makes class enjoyable. Reaction papers aren't bad. Take him for any of your history classes and i promise you wont be disappointed! Ill miss having him as a teacher.

I was not in love with this class but I didn't hate it. You have no tests, which is nice- but you have quizzes on readings and these Reaction Papers about certain readings and if you aren't specific on your answers you will get a bad grade. And you have about 4 projects which are all papers except for one which was a field trip. Last paper is 10pgs

Something is due everyday. Each week you have a quiz and a short paragraph paper due. The class is set up in a debate style which I loved! you really don't have to put that much effort into the class he makes it very easy to succeed. He is interesting to listen to and makes class fun. He's very strict about missing class though.

Favorite teacher at Ecc! I loved his class! He understands that students have a life outside of school and will try and work with your schedule. No test but has quizzes on readings once a week. However, all quizzes are open note. You have mini papers that are due every week . They only take like 20 minutes to do. Take a class with him if you can.

He gives a lot of reading, but in the other hand he is a really nice guy and is comprehensive. This is the type of teacher that helps you in and out of the classroom.

I really enjoyed Antonio. There are no tests but there's almost always a quiz over the readings he assigns. His lectures are super long though. He took our class on a field trip during the semester which was awesome. He's a little vague on what he expects for projects/papers. He's very passionate about the subject he teaches.

The best professor I had at ECC. He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed in and out of school. His homework is very easy just make sure you do it and participate in class and you'll get an A. The class is interesting and he really helps apply everything to the world today.

Everything he looks for is detailed in the syllabus and nothing changes. You are graded solely on the quizzes (which is the first class of the week that is over a chapter in the book) and the debates. Definitely read the material, or you will do terribly on the quizzes. Debates are not difficult as long as you research your topic. Very pleasant.

Ramirez is one of the best proffesors at ECC. His US Government class is an absolute blast and his History of US Latino's class was a good learning experience. US Government class setup was great. No tests, little HW and fun debates on real and relate-able topics. Caring teacher and keeps class fun.

He really does try to make learning easy! we had to get like 4 books but i got them on amazon for under $20 for all of them! it was like 50 pages per week but its not hard reading and its interesting! no test but a quiz every week! quizes you can use notes so they're easy to pass! i learned alot and was never stressed! TAKE HIM!!!

This class was a very fun class to take. There are NO tests, just weekly quizzes and they are open note. You also do debates, which are pretty fun. You also have to write a few papers which is not to bad cause his guidelines are super easy. Recommend Professor Ramirez for this course if you have to take it.

Ramirez is a wonderful guy and loves teaching history. His class is kinda like an English class because it involves a lot of reading and writing papers. He has quizzes that are weekly (you can use your notes on them) and labs (group discussions). We only got through one lab this semester. Has extra credit opportunities but its hard to attend them.

Ramirez is great. He expects a lot out of the papers, but if you follow the guidelines, you will be fine. His class is fun and he loves interacting with students. I would absolutely take him again!

Ramirez he is a good professor. He loves history and he knows his stuff. You go to class and pass. Write your papers and take notes . you will pass . Take him because he will answer all your questions and he was probably the best History Prof at ECC.

He is a very kind guy and cares about his students. I took him for history, which was very political and bias. So if you have a differing opinion than him, I'd suggest just staying quiet. Other than that, fine class.

Mr. Ramirez is the most caring and passionate teacher i have ever had. He is very intelligent, but he makes things interesting and easy to understand. His class is not the easiest, but you get out what you put in. Highly recommend taking any of his classes.

This class was super easy and informative at the same time. He doesn't accept late work but the workload is so light there is no reason to. Professor Ramirez was very clear about what was due when and would share extra information about the topics.

Took this class during the pandemic and the class was completely online. No zoom lectures. We used google classroom which is actually really simple and made finding assignments and submitting them really easy. We had weekly discussion posts and weekly quizzes that if you participated well, it's an easy A. There is 1 book you need for the class.

If you have to take any classes with Professor Ramirez do it! I graduated from ECC in 2015 and to this day he has been the coolest professor I have ever taken in college.

Took him online during covid. Ramirez was very good with grading and tried to take it easy on students with assignments and didnt give too much work. He has great reviews so I kinda wish I had him in person maybe later

He is an amazing teacher that helps you understand the government more and the history about it. He also gives amazing extra credit opportunities to help your grade improve, and his lectures are very clear to understand and he gives more information about about the topic you are learning about.

Professor Ramirez wants to see all his students succeed, but if you fail to prepare you are preparing to fail. Watch all of his lectures, they will be very useful on quizzes and you can even learn something new! Overall, amazing professor, and I wish I could have met him in person.

Professor Ramirez was a very good teacher to have for this class. The books he assigns for readings are very engaging and helped me learn a lot about our country that was skipped over in every history class I had taken prior. If you want to learn more about our countries history from an intelligent and caring professor, Mr. Ramirez is your guy!

By far the easiest class I had the semester. Same online class format with weekly reading and quizzes. I took a late start so the course went by very quickly.... make sure to keep up with the readings since it is a lot. I 100% recommend this professor.

Professor Ramirez is a great professor. The work load is not horrible but at the beginning there is a lot of work. There is a lot of reading that you have to do. If he tells you do something chances are that it will be on a quiz. Overall good professor and would taking his class.

HIST 152 was perfect for what I needed, a intro level history class that fulfilled requirements. The required texts were inexpensive, and interesting. Quizzes were structed to encourage reading, and from reading I learned more than I expected. Prof. Ramirez thoughtfully created a course that is exceptionally accessible for working students.

Amazing Teacher, Prof. Ramirez is very understanding and caring. He is a very flexible teacher and the work load isn't very hard at all. Definitely recommend taking his History of Latina/os in the U.S class !!!

Professor Ramirez's online American Government class was super easy. As long as you did all of the quizzes on time, you will get a good grade. He does his class on Google Classroom and makes it really easy to access everything you will need in one place.

Professor Ramirez seems to have genuine care for students to do well, but if you are not careful in reading due dates, or finish a quiz in the time given you will lose many important points. The class is easy if you follow the lectures, which are easy to follow. You will not be able to make up any quizzes. I wish he was more lenient with quizzes.

Mostly just tests for grades, so your reading for the books and take the tests by the scheduled due dates and you should end with a good grade.

Prof had a clear grading criteria. He listed out what needed to be done very clearly and even gave days off in order to complete projects or assignments. It was very easy to contact him and ask questions if needed. Class was very interesting, and there were even times when we watched short films for class. Great class and overall great professor!

This class is my favorite class so far at ECC and its all thanks to Professor Ramirez. He really emphasizes mental health and he truly cares about each one of his students. I learned so much from his class and stayed engaged throughout the entire semester. Truly one of the best Professors here at ECC. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend!!! :)

He was great! Most of the grade consisted of quizzes and barely any homework to help the grade. Reading was big on this class, make sure you read!

Professor Ramirez was amazing. This course was a late start and we used google docs for most of the work but he made it fun, enjoyable, and gave positive feedback on assignments. In addition his lectures made it much easier to do the quizzes. I would so take him or someone else like him in a heartbeat. Overall I had a fantastic and fun experience.

I really enjoyed this class & I think this is mainly due to the professor. He was very easy going but also very informative, the lectures were interesting & easy to understand. We watch a good amount on what we learned, & do a lot of discussing, especially on your own personal experiences. Not a lot of homework or big test. Definitely recommend!

Great professor, he managed the class on a timely manner & was very well-organized. The course is heavily weighted on readings and quizzes, so be prepared to read. I'm not a big history person, but he made it really interesting from the different textbooks, movies, & documentaries in class. Attendance matters to succeed & do good.

Professor Ramirez has had the best class I've taken at ECC so far. Super easy and himself as a professor is amazing, his classes are not boring and he always keeps you engaged. I could honestly write so much about professor Ramirez, if you can take this class please do so. You will not regret it and I hope to find other professors just like him.

Dr Ramirez is very passionate and knowledgeable about American Government. I would recommend taking this class because you will learn a lot from this professor. He may be a little bit paper heavy but it's a college level class so you should expect that. Overall, I highly recommend him because you will learn a lot.

Mr. Ramirez class is based on a few debates. Class was very interesting and educational. Not a lot of homework and very easy quizzes. Great professor and is very passionate about these real world topics.

I took his HIS-152 class, and overall he is a 5/5 profesor. Extra credit is very abundant, each extra credit is worth the same as a perfect score on a quiz. Only thing I would note regarding the class is the quizes, the questuins are worded very specifcally and sometimes dont make sence when refrancing the written material.

I recommend taking Professor Ramirez! he's easy to talk to and makes the class interesting. We only had to purchase 2 pretty cheap books. A quiz weekly on the reading which isn't too bad. For his HIS-152 we only had one essay to do and one final at the end of the semester.

Amazing teacher. We always have fun discussions about what we are learning as well as a few field trips. Professor Ramirez makes learning more interactive and exciting. Definitely recommend taking any class of his.

Antonio Ramirez was a very good professor and you could tell he really cared about his students. There was a lot of extra credit making the class easier to succeed in. Was also a lot of group discussions which were really fun to partake in, if you are interested in history/politics this professor is definitely a good choice.

This class is a great option to take it online as an elective. Professor Ramirez is an great professor.The grading system in this class is a bit complicated,as you are graded on multiple components and he doesn't always grade assignments promptly. There are weekly quizzes, discussions so make sure to follow the due dates, as no makeups are allowed.

Professor Ramirez is awesome! He cares deeply about his students and is always willing to help. The debates are not bad and he makes you feel incredibly comfortable. If you participate in the group projects and do the quizzes it will be an easy A.

He cares about his students and their success & is very willing to work with you. 8 quizzes are given They are based on the readings from the textbook, so If you don't feel comfortable reading 20-30 pages a week, make sure to be prepared. I absolutely love Professor Ramirez. His personal experience combined with his teaching style make his classes fascinating and engaging. In History of Native America, the field trip opportunities alone are worth taking the class for. There's a reason there's a plaque with his name on the wall.

Amazing professor! He would give us usual presuall assignments along with weekly quizzes. He does give plenty of opportunities for extra credit to boost your grade up and you will have to reach a chapeter every week because that's what the quizzes were based on. No big exams just a final project (audio interview) & a 500 word paper assignment!

If you are considering taking his asynchronous History of US Latinos/Latinas, please do! It was such an interesting and easy course. Assignments and quizzes are simple and quick to complete. Pretty easy A if all assignments are completed! He also gives multiple easy opportunities for extra credit. Amazing course and professor!

I would 100% recommend him. The work is easy and manageable, he gives great feedback on essays and assignments, he is always willing to help you out if you need it. You get extra credit just for participating and he's a pretty generous grader.

Professor Ramirez is super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about U.S. history. His lectures are structured and informative, with a good mix of big-picture ideas and specific examples. The pace for the summer course is quite fast, just 4 weeks long, but he was always open to clarifying things in office hours and through email. Great professor.

Professor Ramirez is a great teacher! I really enjoyed the 4 week course. The online assignments were very manageable - mostly reading articles, watching videos, answering a few questions, and responding to peers' comments. There was a test and essay due each week. I highly recommend taking a class with Professor Ramirez!

He is a great professor. I took the accelerated summer course so it was crammed into four weeks which was a challenge, but it wasn't a ton of work considering. He graded things quickly. Made weekly encouraging announcements and gave great feedback. Would definitely suggest taking his class if given the opportunity

I had a tough semester with a house fire and some other personal events in the family and Professor Ramirez was not only understanding but helpful and kind. He gave me hope again and I am so grateful to have had him as a professor. Great class, very informative.
