Her notes are good and helpful but she is always asking us questions and wants us to finish her sentences. She is always yelling out YES? YES? like we know the answer. She is the one teaching not us!

she was pretty good. she expected you to do the "Home learning" if you did your fine. she gave us 2 really easy test and we knew exactly what problems we were going to be tested on. honestly, she did try to make every effort to help you understand.

If you honestly try to do the work and pay attention in class this is a supereasy class, if you remember a bit of math stuff from high school If not, she is really helpful and she tries to make things as easy as possible. her quizzes are easy its just a matter of getting the basic conpcept. Take her!! I assure you she is better than most math profs

loved her way of teaching... she made me fully understand college algebra and shes very fair with everything.. she helps you out lots and its up to you if you take advantage of it... def would recommend her for anyone who is lookin for a good college algebra teacher and wanting to get out and done with the class... thanks alot miss Gibbs.

ms. gibbs is easy if you go to class everyday and your a pretty good at math. just make sure you do your my math lab assignments and do your hw so you can pass your tests. she gives a couple extra credit points on tests but like other ppl say she has a lil attitude like she doesnt want to help you and she is sarcastic

she is a fast teacher, but very clear on her explanations and very patient, she will answer every and all questions someone may have, and she'll give many exercises that are very helpful and opitional, overall she's a great teacher

Professor Gibbs teaches in a very organized way---everything is clearly summarized in her notes on the board, examples are worked through, and she will answer questions if you ask. As in every math class, YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK TO DO WELL. It's not required, but do it anyway. The math lab is part of the grade, but can be done from home.

Gibbs is a good teacher,although i got a C in her class (which was due to the fact that i didn't have time to do the homework. DO THE HOMEWORK even though its not required)i learned alot. plus she gives 20pt extra for doing 20hrs in da lab that couls mean the differences in passing or failing. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS LADY! granted this glass was a bit tough and i had to work hard for my B but she is very helpful. she may go a little fast as well but it helps that she makes time for her students to help them durin her office hours. use the mathlab and pay attn and you'll be fine.

She really isn't bad if you pay attention. There are quizzes like every class, but I only studied for a few of them and passed the class with a 98%. You get about 15-20 quizzes all semester, but she only counts your 10 best. But you do have to make sure you know what you're doing in order to get a good grade.

Math was once my best subject until I walk into Ms Gibbs class. She is very RUDE... And she need to learn how to communicate and take time teaching her Math class.

All these people berating her are obviously clueless. I took a class with Gibbs' and received a near-perfect A. She explains exactly what you have to do on the board, which you will understand if only you actually pay attention. She even volunteers to help you after class in her office, and was also very nice to me whenever I spoke with her.

Extremely helpful professor, if you seek help just go to her office and she will sit dwon with u and explain u how to figure out problems. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS IF YOU HATE DOING WORK. )YOU MUST STUDY AT LEAST 2 HOURS PER ONE HOUR IN THE CLASSROOM)

THE BEST teacher ever. Because of her I have an A in math which hasnt happened in 7 years for me! Shes FOREVER available to help & has incredible character. I cant even tell you how many times she stops to make sure everyone is following. Anyone talkin smack is just a slacker with some serious growing up to do. College = Work. Get with the program!

I don't know what's up wit all of the negative comments about this lady. I love Miss Gibbs! She is an awesome teacher with a great personality! Her tests are super easy and she does everything in her power to help her students. I can't wait to take MAC 1105 in the summer with her! I definitely reccomend that you take her!

At first I truly hated this class, partly because math is my weak points, but also because of what I read about Ms. Gibbs. I really wish i hadn't read anything because she was just the opposite of what people where saying. Ms. Gibbs is extremely kind and helpful and really facilitated the learning process. I would definently recommend her!

I hate math, but this is the best math professor ever. She is always available, and answers emails quickly. Her syllabus is clear, and easy to follow. Practice Midterm and Practice final really prepare you for the actual exams. Put in your time with the homework, and study for the exams, and you too can pass math.

I took this class online. The quizzes she would post and the review for the midterm and the final were exactly like the practice. Obviously that make it easy. But you do have to study. We used Aleks software which I found good to understand the process.Also there were so videos on Blackboard that help you even more to understand every single detail

I have taken Prof Gibbs for all of my prereq classes for algebra and attempted an online course. She has been wonderful. YES she is abrasive but if you can handle the sassy attitude she is a fantastic teacher. She will help you whenever she can and recognizes individuals who work hard. Needless to say I like her :)

I took this class online over the summer. This professor was great. She definitely helped me when I messed up the time for my final. Obviously if you are bad in math don't take an online class, but if you need help, she will respond right away. I am taking her again in the fall for Mat1033. Can't wait!

I took MAT0028 online and this was my first online class. She is really helpful and is great with getting back to you when you email her. The course is laid out really well and easy! You can retake assignment for better grades also! No textbook require = saving money! But do not be lazy. I would recommend her :)

I had Prof. Gibbs for online class. Homework and Chapter test were taken in MyLabPlus. Prof Gibbs was very nice and helpful. A lot of study time, a lot of homework. Must study for Final, some tricky questions. Do the work and you'll be fine. Overall, I enjoyed it!

She explains things well enough for you to understand it. I took her half online so it wasn't too difficult since you learn at your own pace. Her grading is really fair too so I would recommend taking this class. :)

This class was 50/50. professor Gibbs is an excellent teacher. She helps you understand math in the simplest ways. She wont baby anyone, but she will make sure that you pass the course.

Prof. Gibbs is one of the best professors that I have come across. She has helped me in ways that she did not have to help, but out of her genuine desire for her students to pass the course. Prof. Gibbs sent out weekly general e-mails to remind us of the task that needed to be completed. She even gave us an easy extra credit assignment, study!

She was very encouraging. She was constantly reminding us of where we should be and what we should be working on. There were a 3 tests and a final that we had to go to the college itself and take at the testing center. The class is taught thru an online computer program-ALEKS, which is self paced and it tests you to make sure you learn the topic

Just do what she asks you to do, which is outlines in the syllabus. It is a lot of online work if you take the blended class. Not prepared for class, but it is made clear to bring questions. This is not a lecture course if blended.

Gibbs had a chip on her shoulder, but she came through for me in the end. I was not good at math, but she was their for me. i failed the class with a 69% but she boosted me up to a 70 so that I would pass. She lets you make up work, and if you participate she will like you and give you a little extra time on test.

Professor Gibbs is hands down the best college professor I've had. Her class isn't an easy A, but she gives you the tools to succeed. If you struggle, but she sees you're putting in the effort, she will put in the extra effort to help you earn a passing grade. Lots of quizzes, homework isn't always mandatory but definitely helps. Textbook needed.

Professor Gibbs is a simple professor. She literally tells you everything this you need to do to pass. Unlike other math professors, she understands the pain of Aleks and grades fairly. She's willing to work with your struggles on a problem and makes it simple to understand from its point of views. Just make time to do the work and you pass.

The main thing is showing up to class. If you do that you'll pass. she explains everything and if you have more questions you can ask her during office hours

Ms. Gibbs is one of the best teachers at North Campus. If you attend class and you do the work, and you put in the effort then you will pass. She helps you if you ask for help. She will not chase you down. We are adults and it's our own responsibility to do your work. I loved her and would take her again for any math.

Professor Gibbs i a college professor not a babysitter. I appreciated her sarcasm, some others couldn't. Its irresponsible to give a low rate to a professor because of the students lack of accountability. I received the grade i worked for, can't blame her.

Professor Gibbs seems to be very strict throughout the course, but whenever help is needed she does not hesitate to extend assignments if you are having technical difficulties or another issue (I took this class online). Very respectful and respectable.

She understands technical difficulties and cares about her students. There are videos and notes to learn each lesson. I had mylab hw, quizzes, 3 discussions, and Honorlock proctored tests(3 + final) Session 2 goes fast, if you study and practice you'll do great. There are no second chances if you forget assignment, stay on top of deadlines!

Easiest math course I've taken, anytime I had any problems with anything I would email her and she responded within a day or less. Very nice teacher.

Online class. She uses ALEKS as the platform. She emails frequently throughout the week and is very responsive and nice. The easiest way to pass the class is simply get 100% on all your ALEKS homework (unlimited attempts). 5 proctored 20 ques exams and 1 25 ques final. Very easy with a study guide. Average effort by me and got a B. Not difficult

I took this course online, and it honestly went really well. Professor Gibbs is easily accessible and responsive, provides clear guidelines, updates and resources throughout the course, and the course content is very easy and clear to navigate. If you're looking especially to take this course online, I recommend to take this class.

Ms. Gibbs was a great teacher! The only reason I didn't get an A is because of my poor time management (missed two tests and other homework assignments). You cannot turn in late work, but Ms. Gibbs is very forgiving and understanding. She offered to replace one of my test zeroes with my final test grade. She also responds very quickly to emails.

strict and doesn't take late work. hw was easy to finish, and she drops the lowest hw grade. tests open at 12:00 one day and close at 11:59 the next. The final was 25q, and the review was 50q, know how to do each question backward and forward for the final. She communicates a lot. there are 2 ways to get a 2% xc, and it is pretty easy to achieve.

I genuinely don't understand the low ratings. This was such an easy math class and I took it online. Just make sure to do all the homework and tests on time and watch the videos she provides and you'll be fine. She doesn't accept late work but she gives a lot of time to complete the homework and labs (a week per unit).

A very good professor, very understanding and genuinely interested in your success in class. The only reason I didn't get an A in this class was because of my complicated schedule (I missed a lot of assignments).

100% take her if you can! I had a half semester course, so it was loaded more than usual. The homework can be slightly time consuming, but its possible to get 100/100 on ALL homework. There is 6 test, and an optional final to drop your lowest grade. The test weigh a significant amount. She answers emails in a timely manner and is understanding.
