Very fair in the assignments. I ended up dropping the course but he still helps me with the new course I am in even though he is not my TA. Doesn't even charge for tutoring me! Take him if you know even the slightest amount of math.

Definitely one of, if not the best, mathematics and overall professor I have ever had. Very thorough when teaching and never moves on until everyone understands. Grades very fairly and is always there outside of class to help you when you need it. If you can take this professor, I'd highly recommend him for ANY math course.

He is a good professor based on his ability to relate you. First and foremost, he has no problem slowing things down to the point where he explaining it to you as if you are a five year old. This is refreshing because some professors do not care if you completely understand the material, and they will just keep trudging on through the class.

He is a solid teacher, he is very chill and makes it easy to learn. Very approachable and will answer any questions you have. Unfortunately the math department makes it extremely difficult with what he is allowed to do and not do. Tests are all on the computer which sucks so hopefully they get away with that as there is barley any partial credit.

He makes sure the whole class is following and keeping up with his lectures, allows time for questions throughout each step he takes towards solving the problem. Always willing to give up his spare time in order to help those who need the extra help.

If you are not great at math in general make sure you got o lecture!! He will go through how to solve questions step by step which makes doing the homework easier. The quizzes are not that complicated if you practice the questions. The test on the other hand are a little difficult but what test isn't.

The course itself is hard if you are just bad at math in general, but katyal is a solid prof that teaches you the main concepts of the sections. he does say what's on the tests and quizzes but not exactly. he makes you understand the basic concept but it's up to you to study the material. the math department in general is just bad.

By far the most amazing math professor I've had in my three years of being a college student. He's extremely helpful and is always willing to meet up before class and stay after to help you better understand material. I like the lectures because they were very helpful but the the online homework was not fun. I do not think the problem was the teacher but I think it was myMath plus. The difficult part of the course is the online portion because the program is stupid. I think that if the class was taught the old fashion way, it would have been easier to grasp.

He goes over material very well if you go to class you should pass the course. you do have to do the Hw or else you will fail the class. if you don't understand something he will find multiple ways to explain it to you until you get it. one thing is that the class does sometimes go over the time limit. would definitely take him again.

Very good teacher that accentuates on the theory of calculus. You have to go home a do the homework and actually practice it, but you have a better understanding of the math. Don't expect to just go to class and do examples that you will find on the test, but you will understand the logic behind the math much more.

This professor actually wants you to learn. The people that say he is terrible, are most likely doing terrible because yeah, the class itself is really hard. He records his lectures and puts them on youtube, you don't have to come to class if you don't want to. He goes over the concepts that will be on tests/quizzes, and he's funny. Hard class tho.

The professor simplified how to memorize equations and taught the material in a way that could be understood rather than having us just read it on our own from the textbook. He reviewed homework questions in class and kept the pace very steady. If you attend class and do the homework, there's no way you can fail. Awesome sense of humor!

I failed this class once before as it was challenging for my major. I'm a psychology major and I often struggle with math. Professor Katyal was one of the best math teachers I've had thus far. Show up to class and take notes, never be late and you shouldn't have a problem.

I am terrible at math and his lectures really helped me see math more clearly. he simplifies it to the easiest way and he posts lectures online which is a huge help. Really respectable guy, funny but a no bs kinda guy. you can tell he cares a lot about the students' understanding of the material. definitely take him if you get the chance.

Really great professor! He is willing to help you all you have to do is ask. Make sure to come to class because it counts towards your grade, don't be late! Make sure to do all your homework. You have a quiz everyday of lab, but there's practice quizzes and test available to you and if you do them you will definitely pass every single test & quiz!

I like this professor because his teaching style challenges me and I really learn something with him. The only downside to his teaching method is he goes a little to fast and does not give enough examples. Sometimes it is hard to keep up but if you dont miss class you should be fine.

Katyal is one of the better profs ive had. he records his lectures so you can go back and re watch them later to study, all the homework and tests are done on MML and he helps you with any questions you have on it just ask! overall a great professor, super funny and makes the lectures interesting! definitely would take him again for other courses.

Professor Anurag is a hilarious professor. Is thorough with his lectures. Questions on the homework are slightly different at times but he is willing to go over them if needed. Definitely would take for another math class!

Professor Anurag does his best to teach math in the easiest way possible. Will break down difficult concepts, all you have to do is ask. Class is overall is difficult for any non-math majors; you have 5 exams, one lowest grade is dropped. Make sure you study every day or so and do homework on time to get credit.

His lectures are laidback, so you don't feel stressed even though it's a hard math class. He helps you out with the homework and tests and doesn't waste your time with busywork. He looks out for his students just do the homework.

This professor is a safe choice. He is funny and understanding. He makes sure to take the lectures slow so that all of the students understand what he is teaching. Hes patient and will treat each question with no judgement. Tests are a bit challenging, but he makes it durable. My only problem with him is that he doesnt have an office on campus.

Really funny guy during lectures, he does explain the concepts very thoroughly. HW is irritating though, sometime you can type the right answer and it will be marked incorrect and the correct answer will be exactly what you put. Don't take him if you're fragile and can't handle sarcasm. If you're chill, then take his class and you'll be fine.

This is one of the more difficult math classes that I have taken, that aside, he is a good teacher who makes the learning experience fun. It is a very laid back and learning intensive course. When you are confused about a question, he will explain where you went wrong and show you better ways to go about the problem. I would definitely recommend!

Good professor. What I really appreciated was his style of teaching. The textbooks often give you these complicating looking formulas, he will give you the formulas in the form of words in such a way that makes better sense than the textbook. Brings in humor to simultaneously break the monotany of a math lecture and help you understand. Its a calculus class so expect a solid load of homework and studying but Mr. Kaytal does a fine job helping you bite the bullet.

He was very fun, and was really good at explaning the material in simple terms. Always had good examples and if you asked him a question he always tried to make you answered it, this really help us make sure where we were getting confuse or what we did not understand, instead of simply giving us the answer.

I really enjoyed this class. The first few weeks of this course were a little tough for me personally because I havent taken a basic algebra class in 4 yrs. I recommend taking lectures with this professor. He is super chill, but you do need to put effort into studying for the exams. Great professor he records his lectures and if you see the videos he tells you what to focus on for the test. You should do the homework but he tries to base his exams 80% from the examples he gives and 20%from the hw. He gave extracredit if we did the final exam review he would increase your grade by 5% and the final ended up being identical!

I took this class last semester with a different professor and had to drop it mid way. I didn't think it was possible for me to pass this class. If you struggle in math take this professor. He is so helpful. Class is mandatory he gives credit for showing up. The homework is worth a big chunk of your grade and its super easy. He is willing to help with anything and hes a great teacher. Just put in a little effort and study a little and you will pass this class FOR SURE. Best math teacher.

Calculus is not an easy subject to begin with so you definitely have to put in the work. I liked that Professor Anurag recorded his lectures, so you can go over them as many times as you like. Homework every week, and about 5 test with a cumulative final. Make sure you go to class and you should be fine.

He really does care and does a great job of teaching. He used video lectures that we watched before class and did example problems in class. Definitely do the homework and try to show up to his office hours before exams. He removes the lowest exam grade at end of year. If you have questions however, he does a pretty bad job at answering.

Calculus isn't easy so you're going to have to study. He is very helpful and happy to answer any questions. He gives credit for showing up and each class there is an extra credit opportunity. I've always struggled with math and he helped me understand it very well. If you try, study a lil, & show up to every class ready to learn you will def pass!

Professor Katyal is a gem. I am TERRIBLE at math and have severe testing anxiety, but he really helped me overall! His way of teaching is so much easier. Three tests and a final. HW is through MOM and is doable! Utilize his office hours, do the assignments (tests are like HW), and go to tutoring and surely you will do well.

Professor Anurag was a beneficial teacher. I was not excellent at math at all, but this professor made me superior in this class. You need to be ready to learn if you are willing to take this class. Also, If you don't know any math, you are coming out of this class a math genius. He has three tests and a final, which are comfortable, and HW on MOM.
