One of the few teachers I have been able to learn math with. I have a busy schedule so the way he works w/ the class is the best. Lectures are online which are great for studying and homework. You have to put in the work (obviously) but he is very to the point and direct. Will help if you ask and until you understand it. Reccomend to future people!

Great teacher, teaches fast but makes it easy enough to pass if you pay attention and do the homework. Lots of opportunity to ask questions and get help. Sense of humor keeps the class from being stressful.

I truly did enjoy the class, I found the professor easy to talk to. The only thing I would change is for him to be a bit more organized. Over all I would take his class in any subject, except to work.

Down to earth. Cracks jokes and livens up the class when needed. Generous, provides plenty of EC. Straightforward/clear. Homework policy is something I'm not fond of. Handwriting long homework instead of using online alternatives that provide a better learning experience with examples is something I see better than snippets missing important info.

I don't get all the negative comments at all. Prof. Anurag is very knowledgeable and he knows how to pass it on to others. He demonstrated patience while teaching and was always willing to help. He went of of his way to provide students with the best possible resources. Yes, there is a lot of HW but that is how you become proficient in math.

I don't know why there are any negative comments. I took this class over the Spring semester and I wish I could take all of my math courses with him! He's definitely the best teacher ever. He will literally make sure everyone understands you can ask away and he will answer. If you are not good with math take him and everything will be clear.

Mr. Katyal Is an excellent professor. He is the most qualified, and intelligent people I have met at Palm Beach State. His grading scale is fairly lenient. That being said, if you're looking for an easy A, he is not your go-to. If you need to understand the material then he is one of the best. He goes to extensive lengths to assist students.

TAKE HIM! This is my third attempt with college algebra, and my experience with the previous professor was horrible. But professor Anurag makes it very understanding. His teaching method is very unique, and I like the fact that he has an online community that is accessible outside of class. He is very sarcastic, get use to it. You won't regret it!

Pretty decent professor. Gives extra credit which helps out a lot in this type of class. The tests are pretty straight forward with the topic that's taught. He helps when needed. Don't take him if you're lazy. You have to work hard to get a good grade or you will not pass.

Anurag is an incredible professor! Make sure you do the homework (even if you think it's a lot.) Go to class and really pay attention and you should be fine. Professor is a great one. When he teaches the many lessons of the course, he moves on when everyone has an understanding. The pacing is great and not overwhelming. He makes it essential to do the homework which is a lot but its best to practice. Tests are easier than the homework. Its easy to pass if you study and do homework.

Professor knows his math but when I went home to do homework I felt lost. I believe professor should allow time for groups do work on homework during class so students can fully grasp concept of each lesson with the assistance of professor. But over all nice fellow.

This professor is really intelligent, outgoing and caring. He would do anything to help you boost your grade if you're willing to put the work in. Skipping class is a big thing though if you aren't in class he has no reason to help you and you will not pass. Overall I would take him again.

From the moment I walked in class it felt like I was in a military camp. He was rough on the edges in the beginning but from day one his lectures were always great. If Anyone in the class suffered from confusion he wouldn't move on until everyone has a complete understanding. Every professor have their own ways of teaching but he knows his craft.

Alright so I loved the guy, The interactions between him and I were great always. Even when I'm wrong and dead wrong he explained what I was doing wrong In a calm easy to follow manor. As far as techie style he shows you the mechanic of the subject and applications in real world before showing how it can be done in the most user friendly way.

Proffersor katyal is really good at explaining the problems and lectures. I would definitely take him again if possible. He made math very easy for me. His tests are reasonable as long as you study and do the homework. Attendance is also important.

I highly recommend this teacher to anyone and especially for students who aren't the best at math. He will make you work for your grade. I didn't get an A in the class but it's definitely worth taking.

First day of class during introductions, I stated how much I dislike math and his reply back was "You were never taught the right way to to do!" True to his words, Professor Katyal was patients with my questions and extremely helpful for additional explanation of problems. He has a great sense of humor, which made his class very interesting.

You won't know you final grade until the very end. It's is never on blackboard. But he is a great teacher. He waits for everyone just to make sure everyone understands the material. Great Professor he is very helpful. He does give a lot of homework but it is only to the benefit of every student in the class. One thing he did do different from any professor I have ever had is he records the lectures so even if you didn't completely understand during class every student has the chance to go over what was spoken in class. Professor Anurag is a great math teacher as he teachers you simple strait forward(as much as they can be in collage level algebra) ways to solve problems. His style is WAY better than my math lab! He wants you to succeed and will help you, but you do have to put the effort in. LOVE the videos, this way you can review previous lessons. Take Him!

The homework is the hardest thing in the class. He teaches the lessons well and always does his best with your questions. Tests and quizzes are always on material gone over in class. Hard to actually get a good grade though since the homework counts for so much and is way harder than anything else youll have to do.

Hes a great teacher if youre really not good at math, he teaches you everything you need to know and gives you a lot of homework that helps you with the test. He also gives you quizzes out of nowhere after teaching the lesson. Ill reccomend him

One of the few professor's that does a good job of teaching math in the lectures you don't have to go home and teach yourself. No text book and all the homework/lecture captures are emailed to you. If you don't show up to class you most likely won't pass the class. He teaches new ways to do problems and tests are hand written. no work no credit

The lectures for this class are great. The concepts are clear although the concepts are so easy in class that when it comes to homework they are much harder questions that he doesn't always cover in class. We had an advantage with the class textbook as well as having the lecture outside of class. I'd recommend putting in the time for homework.

Professor Katyal is great at teaching and explaining the material of the course. He provides good feedback if you ask questions. Attendance is mandatory and if you miss more than 7 classes you fail. Lateness is not accepted. He makes the class fun and still maintains a focused learning experience. I would 100% take him again.

My ideal form of Professor, tough, but sticks to what he teaches and let's you know up front that this is a gritty course. Surprises you with homework collection. But is old school in that sticks to lectures and only material covered in lectures, goes over Interesting loopholes in math, quick to reply online and has the best form of humor.

In his class he tries to bring up relevant topics when he can so the class will better understand the topic. A fair amount of homework is expected so that you prepare for his tests. He tells you everything you need to know, there are no hidden secrets. He is there to help you so make sure to ask questions and come to class.

He is the GOAT! Everything he taught was in the test. Always tells you that if you do not do the homework its not going to be easy. Lays down the rules from day one so you know what to expect. Hands down the best MAC professor I've had. He lectures very clearly and always asks the class for any questions. This professor is strict but fair. He will give you indepth explanations to everything he teaches and will try to add a humorous spin. This helps you remember it a lot better. Homeworks matter A LOT! Professor Katyal is very good with making his class easy to pass by giving good lectures, a fair amount of homework, tests, random quizzes and posting all of his lectures online in case you missed a class. This class is easy. 11/10 recomend. If you pay attention you get an A. The concepts are easy. If youre struggling with understanding the lesson, he breaks it down and explains it very well. You never leaving the class confused

He's more passionate about math then any teacher or professor ive ever had. He explains things very well and gives amazing analogies if you still don't understand. Really great professor. He teaches his lecture and allows you to make a mistake and gives you the chance to figure it out before explaining to you whyit was wrong and how to get it correct. He also really cares about you and passing. If he feels like the class doesnt get a chapter. He will stop and go over it again.

Goes step-by-step during lectures, really explains material and if you dont understand, if you ask he will answer. If you constantly miss class you will be lost on the material. My math lab is annoying and i rather have worksheets to do instead. Really funny and makes a lot of jokes, dont take it personally. Overall good teacher:)

Anurag is a great professor and a funny dude. Being in his class was a joy and Ive already signed up for him again.

One of the few math teachers that really makes sure you understand the material. His lectures are very easy to follow along with and I always leave his classes knowing the material. He can be a tough grader but it forces you to learn what you need to know.

Knows alot about math and is very enthusiastic about teaching it too. He is one of the most organized professors I have had so far with lecturing. Make sure to look at the syllabus before registering for this class so you dont miss to many lectures or test. Missing a test day can hurt your grade but overall his teaching style is fantastic.

Lectures are very thorough and always answers questions until you understand something. Lots of examples and analogies. May poke fun at you, but its all good natured. The textbook does not correspond w/ lectures or hmwrk but if you pay attention in class, you will understand the material just the same.

I think the proffesor is great. Makes lectures easy and fun. Test are long but not hard if you pay attention in class.

I personally am not the best when it comes to math but I do love how this professor never wants you to leave class without having doubts about the lessons. - Lectures are very brief but he gets straight to the point . - Lets students get hands on , on problem solving during class .

This professor is a great teacher even though theirs a lot of homework on mymathlab it really helps you understand the material better. The tests are not that hard unless you pay attention and take notes and ask questions and do the test review. He makes the materials seems easy. If i can take him for Statistics I would. Highly recommend!!

This professor is absolutely awesome. He keeps the class interesting by making us laugh & uses real life examples that helped me understand algebra way better than any other math teacher I've had. He is clear, thorough, and gives extra credit. I would defiantly take another class from him again.

I really like his class, he actually gives you a chance at trying to understand the lessons and makes sure everyone understands it. The tests might be a bit difficult but if you keep on practicing, you will get better at it. Overall you should take his class if you actually want to learn. Dont slack off, keep up with your work.

I really like this class, and recommend it. At the beginning he seems to be very hard, but then you realize that he really want to help you to understand the material. He shows you all different ways of answers that you can get. He makes you think and no only work as a robot. He also gives you feedback on your grades.

He helps you out when you have a question and makes you think. I like that he doesnt make you but the book and homework is on paper rather than math lab which allows you to study better. He gets a bad rep it seems like but I mean if you dont want to learn then you wont like any teacher. I highly recommend.

You need to show up to class so you can learn the information! He is very easy to understand, finally get the things Im being taught. Helpful in class and available during office hours. Not too much homework but it does take time. He jokes around but takes learning very serious.

The hurricane messed up our schedule ALOT, but overall, I enjoyed my time with his class. His lectures were long but he recorded them and gave us take home lectures which was very helpful. He did not provide study guides which I didnt like, but his test was easy if you study. Really chill and is funny at times. DEFINITELY recommend taking him.

I haven't taken a math class in few years. He explained the class material very well. My only problem with the class is he doesn't review the homework. The class recording was very helpful. Even better than the text book.

Great professor. I had him for intermediate algebra and he was excellent in both courses. He made his lectures available online so you could study from the material taught in class if there was something you needed to review. I learned a lot from him, and recommend him to anyone.

You will able to receive an accurate grade if you do the homework. Put in the work and youll be fine. I would which there would be more time to learn all the lectures more in depth, it was a little rushed. He provided lectures which was the most efficient way for me to study, did really help me.

The lectures were clear. There were some complications that were out of the Professors control. Due to the hurricane and holidays , we missed a few classes, and only had class on Friday. I wish I had more consistent class times to learn the material. CJ was one of the best math teachers Ive ever had, with his help math made sense.

He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Homework is heavy but he puts up the lectures right after class which is very helpful especially taking the class once a week. He does go over anything that you do not understand regard lectures and homework.

Prof. Katyal is very knowledgeable and care about his students. He posts his lectures online so you can always go back and review them. He makes you think and keep you engaged in the class. Has a good sense of humor . I would love to take another class with him.

This professor is amazing. He makes me love school again. I say this because every lesson that he taught was very thorough and made sure that everyone hadd an understanding he even made learning funny, but substituting any graph with human figures and scenarios. He wasnt a mean teacher actually he was quit hilarious!! I would definitely take again

Tough class but easy A if you do the work. Do all the homeworks, pay attention in lecture, and you will be fine. Drops the lowest quiz, and lowest test. If you get an A on the final, you get an A in the course. The practice tests on MyMathLab before each exam mirror the actual exam (of course with different numbers, etc). Would take again.

Honestly I didnt do so well in this class( totally my fault) But if I took it serious, I wouldve definitely passed. ASK PLENTY OF QUESTIONS!!

This professor uses Inquiry Based Learning, meaning he DOES NOT lecture. Instead, he gives everyone the necessary course material at the beginning of the semester and you're expected to learn it and complete the problems yourself. Everyone brings in their completed work and presents their solutions to the class and participation is mandatory.

Group learning, what I mean is, at the beginning of the semester we received our course packet for which we have to complete the problems, and then one by one we go up and present our work to the class, no lectures just pure participation. Very interactive class and I would highly recommend.

An amazing class with an amazing professor, this class is a group study class where students must complete their work beforehand and present their solutions during class. This isn't the boring PowerPoint lecture style of teaching. Face it, calculus 2 is hell. Anurag makes calculus 2 kinda fun. Attendance is mandatory.

Just took the final. Everything he said was going to be tested on was on the test. Do the problems he tells you to from each section and they will be on the tests. He lost his ish on our class once this semester because no one was doing the daily prep. YOU HAVE TO GO TO CLASS PREPARED or you will not understand. Hardest but best teacher I've had.

Anurag is a great professor. He doesn't really teach but he guides you in the right direction. the packets are well written, at least for calc 1 anyway, and the class is never boring as participation is forced. interesting class but expect to do some non-math writing assignments and learn in a non traditional environment

There is a difference between lecturing and teaching. He does not lecture but he teaches you how to learn if you are willing to give his Ibl thing a try. Never had profs answer my emails at 1am. If you don't understand something but show you tried, he will make a video just for you. You just have to try first. Don't expect to be spoon fed. 10/10.

So, this was my first class as an college student, and this teacher did an amazing job as a professor. He doesn't lecture the class, but what he does is 100x better than that, he makes you try your best to understand problems and how to solve them. If you just want answers, make him a favor and don't sign up for him. As well as, he is funny!!!

I can honestly say I had a blast taking this class with Anurag. His style of teaching is definitely different then most math classes I've taken. Presenting problems on the board was scary at first but slowly I became more confident in the material I was learning. If you do the homework and push yourself to participate in class you will be fine.

Take him if you want to LEARN and UNDERSTAND math. Take other people if you just want to get an easy A and then forget everything after the course is over. Other people that are complaining probably never did the homework. He makes videos that you can watch at home as many times as you want. Kids never even signed up for the homework website - smh

I had to drop the class, but he is a great professor. He wants you to understand each section thoroughly, and he tries his best to help you learn intuitively. Not from memory or pattern, or even a formula. He promotes intuition and this class requires you to really work for it. Be familiar with all former math! If not, be prepared to study, a lot.

The man is the goat. Hated him all semester but it all made sense in the final. He pushed to me learn not memorize. I've been learning about slope all my life and it never clicked before him. If you are willing to learn and put in the work take him. If you are lazy and want everything soon feed take someone else. The man will use Jedi mind tricks.

Anurag is for students who truly wish to learn material deeply. He uses Inquiry based learning. Students will present problems & open discussions are encouraged in the classroom. The best learning experience by far. Math was my weakest area. Now calculus is my favorite subject. 10/10 would recommend to ALL math & engineer majors that want to learn

Took him last semester and taking him again now. People that complain never came to class and never did the daily prep. You need to do a lot of work outside of class but I failed the class twice before with teachers that dont care. He came on Saturdays to help us. Get ready to put some major time in but you will know math when you are done. 13/10.

This class is not for slackers! You WILL learn math in order to pass. its a great class, the professor does lectures online so u can always rewatch, pause, rewind, etc. He is very straightforward when it comes to how grades will be and how to pass. Some students may not like him bc of the work he gives, but like, DUH, we are in college!!

If your not ready to earn your grade you would not pass this class also you must study in order to be able to pass this class

A great teacher nonetheless. He makes you you not only learn the material, but teaches you the basics before getting too deep in a subject first. You will need to be disciplined with your studies if you want to pass the class. Although the class may be tough, it is very rewarding after.

It was a very difficult course, but it was worth it. There was a lot of homework, and it took me from 2-4 hrs outside of class every week to complete it. He makes sure you understand the material very well, and he is a tough grader but also reasonable. I dont regret taking this class at all and I feel like I really understand all the concepts.

the best thing anurag does is teach students how to learn. I have taken him for both calculus 1 and 2. calculus 2 was definitely a challenge but if you put in an honest effort, not only will he pass you but you will come out with a greater understanding of how to teach yourself new things. 10/10 would recommend

Out of all the professors teaching MAC1105 he by far the best teacher you could get he's extremely nice! The course is tough but you can definitely pass IF YOU PUT THE WORK IN! He will try every possible method to make sure you understand the lectures.

Professor Anurag teaches class in a pace to where every one can follow along and be on the same page. He was always available outside of class and he responded quickly to any emails sent. He has taught me how to do math equations in a smarter matter.

Took professor Katyal during summer 2020. We started out "remote" but transitioned into "online only." His grading criteria seems a lot at first but after the first two weeks you get the hang of it. Do the work, and whats recommended and youll pass. Ive gotten As so far.

Anurag is a one-of-a-kind professor. He answered questions with questions which made the students think more. He lectures well and is sure to help any student with any issues. If only one student wants him to do another practice problem, he does it. He also made class fun. As awful as online learning is, he made it easy to navigate through.

This class is challenging, but you learn a lot. I recommend studying from the start if you want to get good grades. I learned many topics of algebra that I was not able to acquire in previous educations. The videos explain a lot, and if you still have questions, he will answer very quickly, even outside class time.

Best teacher ever actually cares about his students. Gives you all of the material you need but you actually have to take the time and do the work. He is always available to answer questions and goes above an beyond to make class interesting so we engage in class. Average amount of home work but its just preparing you for the test so its worth it

Great professor! He really tries to make sure you have the best chance at passing this class. He gives a bunch of extra credit to students who do the work thats asked of them. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants a better understanding of the basics and to help you in your later classes!

Ive learned so much from this course and feel more confident in my math skills. If you put the work in and study hard you will do well in this class. Homework is very manageable and there are reviews for every exam. Also, there are many extra credit opportunities throughout the course. Anurag is a very fair professor.

This professor is very good and honest. He believes you deserve to earn your grade, which I respect. Lectures go into so much detail, it may drive you crazy - but trust me you will be thankful. Only thing I would say is that the pace of the course was a little too fast for me, but this is likely because I am very bad at math.

An average classroom experience with a respectful and dedicated professor where I felt I actually learned something by the end of the semester. Learning was very independent, but there were numerous opportunities to reach out for help if needed.

This teacher was great! I believed I was pretty good at math but had some issues with on the testing format (most are fill in the blank). He will give you a study guide with the exact same questions that will be on the test. Manily it was my fault for not studying the review more. Very good at explainations and will help if you need it.

If you struggle with math or it is important for your major to actually understand mathematic's this is your guy. First instructor I have had to explain why concepts happen or why things work, makes it much easier to understand and remember. Would and will take again.

I honestly loved this professor, he is THE BEST!!! He explains everything really clear and makes you understand everything, you can ask him anything, he is accessible at all times. You need to work really hard to keep up a good grade, but the good thing is that the review questions are THE SAME AS THE TEST!!! Practice/do homework and you'll pass :)

Professor Katyal is a very good professor if you have any questions or need extra help he is very willing to stay after class for another 20 minutes to explain. This is a very participatory class and is engaging, As for the homework there is homework every single day, so you have to put the work in and ask questions to pass.

Anurag is one of the best Math professors you can take. It is an easy class is you pay attention to the videos and do the daily preps. He might look tough at the start of your course but actually he is very nice. If you have an issue and if you address it, he will get back to you right away. He is a great professor to have!!!

Time management is a must even if your cheat on the practice test the exams are literally the same questions with the numbers changed. Good class no textbook and the website we use is free. There's not extra credit opportunity until the end. A lot of work really not for the week but time management has helped me a lot

Professor Anurag is very kind, he enjoys teaching math. He creates youtube videos which are very helpful and provides us with homework and exam reviews that will help you on the test. He provides a lot of extra credit opportunities but just like any college class, you have to work hard for a good grade.

Second time taking one of Anurag's classes. He is very straight foward on grading and what he expects. Follow what he says and do the assignments and you should be fine. Also if you have a question he responds quickly.

Calc 1 & Calc 2 with Anurag were easily two of my favorite courses (I have taken a lot). Anurag was engaging, thought-provoking, and added enough humor to make an otherwise relatively dry course into something really enjoyable. This course is HARD, but he makes his expectations clear. He is always available for help. I highly recommend him!

Anurag prefers to guide students through the material instead of lecture. You must read the chapter before coming to class. Uses common sense methods to help you understand and speak math as well. Doesn't babysit students or hold their hand, but offers plenty of help during class and outside of class as well. Best math teacher I've ever had.

HIS CLASS ISN'T FOR WEAK SNOWFLAKES. If you actually want to learn the material you will participate and do problems in front of the class so that students may provide feedback as to where you might be going wrong; thought-provoking right. He makes you earn the grade although his methods seem unorthodox to some, they work. Truly was a pleasure.

This professor was amazing. He explained to us on day 1 how the course was going to work and even encouraged anybody who couldn't handle the format to drop out. What material we were expected to learn and pick up are told very clearly and his videos were great. He also used analogies to help us understand the material better.

The professor is difficult I won't lie but I actually like that about him. He makes sure you understand hard concepts and is always willing to give more feedback if needed. I actually am taking him again because I liked how structured the class was. The organization helped with following all the material in my busy schedule.

Calc 2 is no joke! this professor wasn't bad or great. He really wants you to understand calculus. He's in depth and is very straightforward which I appreciate. Unfortunately I didn't pass Calc 2 but no blame on the professor, this class is hard. But he is good professor. a lot of HW, A lot of studying.

Professor Anurag is a great professor and has a great personality. His teaching methods are definitely a bit different than normal. He makes you really work for your grade. If you are a hard worker, then youll be good. At times, I was really worried about my grade though. I ended up learning a lot in the end.

He doesnt teach he has pre recorded videos of his desktop doing the work that was required to watch before going into class or else it would hurt your grade and you would not know what to do. I thought this was hard but we are in collage now so you cant blow it off. If you watch the videos YOU WILL PASS!!REALLY EASY TO UNDERSTAND NO INTEMIDATION

The greatest math teacher I have ever had. He truly cares about educating his students. The way he teaches you really forces you to actually learn the material. I really respect the time and effort he puts into his job.

Best math professor I've ever had. He will challenge you, but he has his student's best interests. His teaching style is prep class videos; and in class, we would work on assignments on what we watched. The videos were very helpful and easier to understand than textbooks. I truly respect him. He is easy to reach out to if you have any questions.

Overall, he is a great teacher, I enjoyed his lectures and he made it easy to understand. We do the lecture, and he assigns homework and then eventually we take a test. There are 4 test, just make sure you do the homework because test questions come directly from the homework. And for the final exam, those questions come directly from the 4 tests.

I might've ended the class with a C, but damn if I say that Mr. Anurag wasn't a good professor, I'd be lying. He states his grading criteria and exactly what will happen in the semester very clearly in the syllabus, everything in his class is very organized. You HAVE to do the homework to pass his class. Also ask questions, participation is key !!!

Really cares about students and wants them to grow. He is also funny and really engaging in class. Another thing to consider is how he uses Slack to communicate with students. If you ever have a question, you can send a message on Slack, a platform similar to Discord. Be prepared to practice the material a lot because of the Calc 2 tests.

Professor Katyal has a unique teaching style, but if you engage with it, you'll learn a lot. The pre-recorded videos are very helpful, and unstuckstudy ai can complement your study prep. Attend class, watch the videos, and you'll do well.
