She's great. Really nice and approachable. Makes the class fun and interesting. She's pretty young and uses a lot of examples from pop culture so lectures don't get boring. I'm recommending all my friends to take her class.

Best teacher I've ever had! Na comms. major but somehow she always kept the class engaged in the letures. SUPER nice, SUPER easy, SUPER fun. Speeches are graded lightly- doing it is 90% of the battle, & she's just really great company. I recommend this class to everyone who needs to fill this req. you'll be glad you took it! Amazing professor, gets straight to the point about what to focus on during your speeches, instead of having you guess after each time you give a speech. Her lectures are so interesting, using topics from current events and things that college students would actually be interested in. Fun class, you won't regret it. Very pretty too :)

Great class. She's one of those rare professors who actually cares about her students' opinions. Lots of class discussion in addition to speeches. Never felt bored or uninvolved in class. Amazing instructor not to mention a seriously beautiful woman.

Anya was such an awesome teacher! She genuinely enjoyed teaching us and made sure to get to know each of us well. She is a super easy grader and, because she's rather young, her lectures were always funny and interesting with lots of relevant material. And she is pretty cute :P Take her if you want an A!

Once you get past the fact that she's actually a teacher and not a student (because she could totally pass for a student), you realize she's an AMAZING teacher. She helps you face your fears and become better at speaking. She's very funny and down to earth to and makes even a 2 hour class interesting.

So it's true she's really really pretty and super nice and helpful but beyond that, the fact is she's just an amazing teacher. I've learned so much from her in the past couple of months. It's a 2 1/2 hour class on Fridays, but class is always packed and time just flies. We learn so much each class. Take Comm 20 with her--you'll be glad you did!

I'm so glad I took this class with Anya. I'd heard great things about her from my friends who took her in the Spring and they were right! She's pretty easygoing but super engaging as well. She manages to motivate us even in an afternoon class. Lectures are fun because she has a great sense of humor. Fun speech topics. Totally recommend her.

She has made my Friday class so much better. I was very reluctant to take this class and eventually was forced, but I am happy with my "choice". She has a super easy class and is super easy to get an A in the class.

Seriously is the easiest class you will take. The normal everyday class consists of her asking the class a random question like "if you were president for a day, what law would you make?" You will spend 30 minutess on that. the rest of class you take notes, and tests are open not. got a 102% in her class and didnt try. TAKE THIS CLASS.

Yes her class is easy IF you have good attendance. She's pretty easy going as long as you come to class and make some effort for your speeches and participation. But if you are a slacker and don't come to class you will not do well. Make it a point to come tc class regularly. It really is a fun class and she has a nice bright personality.

There's really nothing negative I can say about this teacher or this class. I hated having to take public speaking. I put it off for 3 semesters until my friend took her last spring and recomended her. So I registered in the fall and I'm glad I did. She gets you to do your best, but in a caring, encouraging way. She's funny, and super cute too ;)

She's honestly one of the best teachers I've had. She understands that public speaking can be scary and she makes everyone comfortable. Her speeches are really low key and doable. She always has something positive to say which encourages students to improve in communications. Her tests are also a piece of cake! She's the best!

Cool professor. She grades super easy on speeches. She's chill about everything except attendance. I missed a few classes and my grade went down from an A- to a B. But she said bc it's a hybrid and we only meet once a week she expects you to show up to every class. It's cool though bc I would have done much worse in anyone else's class, I'm sure.

She's pretty easy-going, no lectures, just speeches, and gives you very good feedback on speeches, tips on how to improve. Doesn't grade too hard on outlines and speeches. Only thing is she expects good attendance and if you miss a lot of classes, it will affect your grade. Other than that, she's chill, hella funny too.

Anya had a rare quality I've not seen in other profs I've had. Its like she cares about her students. If your missing classes, she will check to see of your ok. She wants her students to pass. Attendance matters but her classes are fun so you won't want to miss. Even lectures are fun & high energy. That's why she always has a long waitlist.

Anya makes every student feel welcome and appreciated. I learned a lot from her and i feel much more confident and comfortable about speaking than I did prior to taking her class. She is a kind hearted person too and will work with you if you are dealing with a stressful situation. Definiely a must take class.

Anya's great but her sections are the first to fill up and for good reason. This class is an easy A as long as you show up and do you speeches. There's a lot of random talking and group exercises but everything is super easy. Don't buy the book, you'll never use it. She doesn't really give a real midterm or final, it's super easy or nonexistent.

Extremely welcoming, nice, friendly, and understanding. Best teacher ever. All you do in class is prepare to group or individual presentations. On days when there is no presentation going on, you just have fun and play in-class activities that relates to the com & get to know your classmates. No final, take home midterm, come to class everyday!

Love this professor. She is super clear on her expectations and as long as you show up and do your work you will do well in her class. She gives really good suggestions and feedback and is a pretty fast grader so you don't have to wait to get your grade like with some other professors. Wish she taught all my classes.

Just show up to class! Very easy to pass. All you do is 4 simple speeches, with outlines beforehand and in-class group speeches to prepare for them, and 2 multiple choice exams (midterm & final). Skimmed through lectures and watched a few clips here and there. Thought we would do more in-class activities though. Nothing to worry about!

Really great class and she's been my favorite professor in my three years here. She's a super fair grader, she gives great feedback and gives you every opportunity to do well. Only thing is you don't want to miss class bc participation matters and is a big part of your grade. Overall awesome class and amazing teacher too. I

Professor Anya totally changed my perception of how a college professor looks and acts. She's super stylish and young and makes her lectures fun bc she talks about pop culture and things we can relate with. This has been my favorite class that I've taken in college and I would recommend everyone to take her. She's the best.

Prof. Anya's class was my second COMM class and I LOVED it! I decided to become a COMM major because of her positive approach to teaching. We are learning a lot of practical skills and she is a very good role model of how to act and speak well in a professional environment. I would recommend anyone considering a COMM major to take her classes.

Speeches are really easy. She's really lenient. So long as you are present the day of the speech, you're guaranteed at least a B. Online quizzes for free points.

Great class to take esp for the nervous speaker. She's super fair w grading, pay attention to dress code as she weights that in her scoring. Online work is not difficult. Attend class regularly, do your work and you will pass. Very nice person too.

My favorite class this semester! She had us do a lot of activities and we watched some cool videos. There's a fair amount of writing and some quizzes but she's not a hard grader and she gives you really good feedback. I seriously would take this class again if I could. Super fun and engaging professor.

Class was pretty easy. She's very clear on the grading criteria and is also very lenient on her grading. So long as you talk, you'll probably get at least a B on the speech. Quizzes and final are online and you have a lot of retakes, so they're pretty much a free A.

I took a hybrid class and really loved it. She's very friendly and made public speaking not so scary. Her quizzes and tests are online. Make sure you go to class though; she actually pays attention. Very easy, very relaxed - definitely recommend.

Anya is amaznig. She is the most chill teacher you will ever have. This class is an easy A and I never even wrote a paper! All you have to do is show up to class and take quizzes online (which there were 2 attempts) and you can easily get an A! Take her, easiest Comm class of your life! I LOVE this professor so much. I came into her class thinking I wouldn't pass because it is communications and I'm really shy, but because of her I have gained the courage and skills I needed. It's a really fun class I definitely recommend it.

Easiest A. Easy grader. No textbook. Must show up to each class. You always present in groups and she is so caring. There are some in class activities. Power points and Speech outlines are easy homework. Quizzes come from her posted lecture notes.

Professor Iyengar is incredibly sweet and fun. Her lectures are engaging, she's approachable, and she is an easy grader. Participation is a MUST because all of your grades are based on showing up and doing the work in class. No midterm to stress about, and the final is a paper you turn in on Canvas. Definitely a "chill" class and professor!

4 group speeches and because they are group speeches you really only speak for 1-2 minutes per speech. She's a super easy and laid back teacher who makes class fun and enjoyable. Show up to class as she will randomly give out extra credit for just being there. Highly recommend her, it's hard not to get an A in her class.

Really nice/easy prof! We present in groups and do different topics from a range of a minute to a few. Quizzes are all online and you can just take them all at once to get them over with, and the answers are in the notes. Had a morning class w her n she made it enjoyable

Professor Iyengar is kind and understanding, especially when it comes to public speaking. The speeches weren't too hard since she put everyone into groups and had them work on it together. She also gives good and thorough feedback on speech outlines to help the students. If you're shy or want to ease into public speaking, she's a good choice!

I hate public speaking but she's super outgoing and nice and made this class bearable. Also, even though most of the projects are done in groups, she gives individual grades so you don't have to worry about slackers and such. Put in some effort on your end and you'll be fine.

There's a rubric, but I feel like she grades on individual progress. Very understanding so just reach out if there's an issue. Responds to emails quickly. My semester was GROUP speeches. Rather than learning from a textbook, Professor Iyengar helped us learn real-world skills associated with public speaking. Our workload mainly consisted of presentations, however, they weren't difficult, and the more you did them, the easier they got. Highly recommend her, I will be taking her next semester.

Professor Iyengar is the best professor I've ever had! She is so caring and totally understands when you need more time for an assignment. If you show up to every class and follow the given rubric properly for speeches then you are guaranteed an A. You can also opt out of the final exam by going to a few meetings which is a nice perk.

A lot of presentations, but they are easy to do. Some group work involved but you can get along with others very easily. She cares and supports everything that you do. And she grades everything very direct and sincere. Go take her class again and again (if you want)!

Would definitely recommend taking this class and professor. Professor Iyengar is a great teacher and is reasonable I anything she does. Do the extra credit and you can get out of your final presentation. For my class we only did group presentations (no individual).

Fantastic professor! She is very kind and teaches very well to help you understand public speaking. Best professor ever! She gives great feedback, there is basically zero homework, and only 3-4 speeches. You can also get a final exemption by doing 2 hours of extra credit. I was not the most confident in speaking before, but the low-pressure environment for speeches, the numerous examples she gave, and clear rubric helped me improve greatly.

Very enthusiastic, very kind, and very reasonable professor. Definitely choose Professor Iyengar for Comm 20! Throughout the semester, you are tasked with creating four presentations. The first one is collaborative, then the next three are individual. Instructions are understandable and workload is reasonable.

Probably the easiest comm professor there is. There are 4 speeches which are easy to ace and in class activities every other week. There are exemptions to bypass the final which include outside meetings. She's hella chill and cares about her students so take her if you see her open.

Super organized & smart professor. She made the early (7:30AM) class worth coming to. She gives you super detailed feedback on all your speeches, I learned a lot about what to do by reading her comments. She does everything online, with no handouts so def bring a laptop to every class. She's funny, energetic & cares about her students for real.

Provides detailed feedback. 4 speeches throughout the semester, graded fairly easily. Put in the work and she'll notice your progress. You can skip the final by attending two meetings outside the class.

Attendance isn't really mandatory, but she strongly advises it since there are presentations. Textbook is provided and you can use it when you take the at home quizzes which is only 4 questions. I recommend for easy A.
