There is not much homework, and the essays are extremely straight forward. She's strong against texting in class, and sleeping... like EXTREMELY against it.

I had to retake sociology because my other teacher sucked, but Ms. Brenner positively changed my perspective on the subject! The class consists of weekly reading/hw, 3 documentaries, midterm, final essay, and final. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you will need lecture notes to study for the midterm and final.

Professor Brenner is the best professor I have ever had.I was able to have her twice, one of them being online and the other being in person.She will lecture in person and everything she lectures about will be in the course textbook online, which is free. She has a quiz at the end of each chapter that is open notes online.I highly recommend.

Extremely sweet and honestly wants to teach and it shows. We didn't really talk in my class so participation was a big thing with her. She assigns documentary assignments which suck because the questions aren't easy to work to answer and the documentaries tend to be long.

Very caring, for example If you haven't submitted an assignment and the due date is coming up, will send a friendly reminder (this helped me). Professor Brenner was an exceptional professor to have because of her encouragement and helpfulness in class, as well as outside of class. I am someone with anxiety, and I never felt like it was at an all-time high while in class because she never calls on you unless you raise your hand and want to participate.

Very straightforward class, each week I had to read 1 chapter, 3-4 checkpoint quizzes, a chapter test, and maybe a discussion. The mid-term and final are a simple paper on a documentary from a list she provides. Learned a lot, and this classs wasn't stressful at all!
