Professor Harden was amazing. She was hilarious, relaxed, and incredibly likeable. Her feedback was super helpful because she wasn't afraid to tell me everything that was wrong. She was extremely blunt, yet my essay writing has become considerably more impressive. She is fun and charismatic, yet tough and an amazing professor.

For someone who doesnt like like the subject english, Mrs. Harden has made the class really enjoyable. She gives great feedback and is clear about due dates on assignments.

I LOVE Mrs Harden!! I took her 2 years ago and she was still the best teacher Ive ever had at schoolcraft. She is very understanding and understands that life happens sometimes and is willing to help you as long as you put forth the effort in her class. I am wrapping up my associates degree at schoolcraft, and there is not a teach that compares.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Professor Harden is my all-time favorite, she always makes me laugh in class and she has made me extremely proud of my writing. If you like crime definitely take her because all of her papers are based on true crime. We watch movies also. She is an easy grader as long as you include what she has says.

350 characters isnt enough to describe how April made an impact in my freshman year. Very funny and effective teacher! She really helped me become a much better writer. Her class is crime based which made the writing fun and interesting. She gives clear guidelines for papers. I also loved her personality with her entertaining stories! Take her!!

One of the best professors I've had! I had a rigorous writing program in high school so I have never had issues with how hard she grades, but I know some other kids do sometimes. She is always very clear on what she wants and will help you when you ask for it. On top of that, she is honestly hilarious! Wish I had more English to take :(

I am writing this as I cry over how much I hate my current English teacher at Walsh. I would give my right arm to go back to Schoolcraft and take Professor Harden again instead of my current teacher. If you are able to take this professor, DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

My reply to the last post is that if she was rude to you, then you were probably rude to her. I had her for English 101 an 102, 101 was interrupted by COVID and it went on perfectly., and 102 was online. She is always helpful and you clearly do not get her sense of humor. The last thing she is is rude. She made my day on most days. Grow up!!

Professor Harden was one of the best teachers I have ever had. I took her English 101 and I plan on taking her 102 class as well. She made writing much more easier to understand.

I loved Professor Harden, the only thing I would say is she is one of those professors that you either love or hate. She was truly one of my favorites professors, she was so funny and she gave out a lot of extra credit, and sometimes she would send an email, and if you responded you got it. she is super nice and respectful.

April is the best professor I have ever had, I had her for 101 and 102. When we had to switch to online unexpectedly she made it so easy for us and understood we were all struggling, she is so sweet and caring, and teaches because she loves it and not for the money and it shows.

Professor Harden is one of the best teachers I have had in my life. She is very clear about her grading criteria and is hilarious. The topics we discussed in class were the best part and prompted the class to think critically and keep an open mind. For sure would grab a beer with her.

She is vey blunt, however she holds her classroom to a comfortable level for everyone. She gives not much homework and when she does it's simple and direct with a fair deadline. Attendance is a must to know what's occurring in class, time would differ daily with what had to be completed. She is very funny and passionate about true crime.

This was first time I liked any English course in my entire career. I was always MATHS student and never like English before taking this course. I will take her again for ENG 102.

I have read some of these and the I am not sure how anyone could find her unfair or "skipping out" on class. This was the best college class I have ever taken, hands down. Professor Harden was hilarious. The course was fairly easy, but we had a group project and those always suck. The homework was pretty light for an English course. I wish she would've updated blackboard more often, but other than that, she was amazing. She always gave great feedback on papers. Make sure you show up to class and you're on time.

Best Professor I have had so far!! always answers questions clearly and is willing to listen to questions. I will be taking her again in the fall for 102!!

Professor Harden is awesome! She gives out a few group projects which are a little tough, but they're worth it when the points come rolling in. She's hilarious too, I highly recommend her to everyone out there to take her English classes! She's great!

I absolutely loved Professor Harden. Such a kind person and only wants to see students succeed. She will not grade below a C if you talk about all topics she asks for in the paper. She then will only get you for grammar. So just check grammar and put everything she asks for in paper and you will get good grade! All papers on mysteries! So fun!

Mrs. Harden is a great down to earth English 101 teacher. She's very thorough and detailed with her teaching, to help students understand the breakdown on writing essay(s) with intro, citations, thesis, conclusion etc. What matter is the experience and educated knowledge I've gained from taking this course. My speech & grammar has also improved.

Professor is not easily accessible outside of class, had to remind her multiple times throughout semester to check email. 3 papers total, 1 group project, be prepared to do research and annotated bibliographies! Funny but will say things that are out of pocket.

She is so funny. This class was very easy going and easy to keep up with. Totally would take again and will probably take her for 102.

This is the second time I took Prof Harden and I will be taking her again next semester. She is just so great. She's funny and gives really good feedback on papers. I hate criticism but it doesn't feel like that with her. There is a group project but as long as it is done with lots of details you should be fine.

Would take again in a heartbeat. She's very funny and laid back. Papers require a lot of research but she is very specific on requirements. Attendance matters but she forgot to take it most of the time. Doesn't take late work unless there is a valid reason. Turn everything in on time and you will get an A she wants everyone to succeed.

Professor Harden made me find the writer inside of me, I put my inner thoughts about the subjects that were presented on paper and she gave honest feedback on it. Honesty is huge with her, she understands that people are human but you as a student will need to understand that you are in a college course.

Literally the best teacher ever I loved her so much. She gives you extra credit if she is late to class. Obsessed with serial killers so get ready to do a good amount of projects on serial killers. This class was a breeze and I would totally take her again.

Very easy and fun class considering how boring English is to take. Shes hilarious and lax on any late work that isn't an essay. The only problem I had in this class was the fact that she is sporadic and overlaps assignments a lot. I wouldn't recommend her to poor writers, she is very nice but a serious grader.

I liked her a lot as a person and as a teacher. She gives you so many resources for projects and essays and you can tell she wants her students to succeed while also understanding people have a life outside of school. She's very flexible with late work, however she is kinda a harsh grader. Not to mention she is so funny and very opinionated.

Professor Harden made my writing class a breeze. She's engaging, understanding, and makes even tough topics interesting. Unstuck study was a huge help for essay prep too.

In my opinion, she's a nice person and easy to get along with. Professionally, however, I wasn't a fan of how disorganized the class and assignments were. She's laid-back and cool but definitely a tough grader compared to her teaching style. One of my biggest pet peeves was how often we would get off-topic during lessons.

If you want to become a better writer I highly recommend taking Professor Harden, I gained more writing skills by taking her English 101 class than I did in my 4 years of high school English. She can be a difficult grader but it'll only make you better. This class has made writing papers for me much easier.

Very funny and connects the material to our daily lives making it more interesting. My only gripe is a small lack of professionalism when it came to structuring the class. Sometimes dates would move and assignments would be unclear. Overall a very lovely funny lady. Gave us interesting assignments with lots of freedom. Good stuff.

Professor Harden is a very loving teacher. She has a huge heart and strives to build a relationship with each student. She loves her true crime so many papers and assignments will be around cases. Her classes are generally easy as long as you do the work. If you are genuinely struggling, let her know ahead of time for accommodations.

She is a very nice and respected person and makes everyone in the class feel comfortable and welcomed. My one issue is the lack of assistance outside of class days, and improper listing of due dates. Numerous of my emails I never got a response to, and when she issues due dates its usually by word of mouth, and for me that was the main struggle.
