WOW! Ms. Mixon is absolutely the best chemistry instructor at Clark College!!! I would highly recommend her as an instructor. She is VERY clear in explaining new material, and will never turn down a question. I have never met a teacher who has so much passion for teaching. Our whole class loved her!

She is the rudest prof I have ever experienced. In the lab, she is extremely unhelpful, almost in your face rude. She does not inspire learning, a key factor to judge any prof by. She treats you with respect if she thinks you know the material. She is NOT preaching to the Choir, so she better figure it out. Huge Booty as well.

Mixon is very rude to her students. She takes it personally if you don't thank her for her time. Her attitude is basically, if you don't get it, then you are stupid. In her grading, she has very high expectations, and she nags the class if they all got the same problem wrong, rather than blaming herself. She is rude and inexperienced.

NO idea where those people came up with their comments! Been w/ this teacher for 3 terms. Never had a teacher do so much for the students, she has review sessions, given back assignments to do them over again, gives extra credit, even giving partial credit on a m.c. final!! Those people obviously want to be spoon fed - THAT she won't do! growup

I just have to say that the people that gave her negative feedback are idiots. Her grading is not unfair. As long as you get all of your work in on time, you will do just fine in the class. For chem 133, I never got better than a C on a test and was still able to earn a B for my final grade. If that sounds unreasonable, drop out of school, morons.

I think Mixon could not handle it on the research and developement level, and her bitterness really shows. As they say, those who can't, teach. She thinks she is some kind of premadonna or something. She thinks she is the queen of chemistry, but it is very evident she has emotional issues related to her relagation to teaching.
