April is a wonderful teacher, albeit not very challenging (what she needs to improve on). Very clear, easy exams, and is good at keeping students learning from each other and not just from her.

She is the most wonderful instructor! She is super super nice! Even though I would consider her class as being easy (well, I think she makes it easy), I learn a lot- even just by listening to what she talks about in class. This class is by far one of my favorite classes in college even though it has nothing to do with my major. I really love her!

She is one of the best instructors I've ever had. Her tests are not all that easy as some have said in the previous ratings. However, she makes sure you know the material you should know to move into a career in psychology and to continue your education for upper division college. I would recommed her highly.

DR. PAVLIK IS AMAZING! If you don't take this class you're a fool! She is very cool, clear, & helpful. Psych isn't really easy stuff, but she makes it applicable so that you understand everything. She is very relateable. Expect class discussions & make a friend 'cause that helps. She was my fav.

Because of her, I thought about changing my major to psych. Pavlik made psych so much fun to learn and easy at that. Always talks about her life story which is for my liking only because whatever she doesn't go over is on her website. Lets us use study guide for tests including final. Probably the best teacher I've had at LACC.

She allows you, an independent student, in charge of your own learning, the ability to take charge of your education. She is a wonderful teacher and one of the few professors at City College who holds their PHD. If you can manage it, take her classes.

Favorite prof hands down!! highly recommend! shes funny and has actual working knowledge which she shares. she cares deeply about her class and students (she gives classes nicknames mine was the rebel class) tests are a little tough but she tells you what to study all around great class even for non psych majors!

Dr. Pavlik's class was a total pleasure. She very kindly entertains everyone's questions and comments, but at times it is a huge time waster for the people that are there to learn. When she instructs, she is awesome. However, it is frustrating when some people dominate the class with nonsense and are not roped in by Dr. P.

Dr. Pavlik was truly amazing. When I first registered for this class, I hadn't even looked her up. I really got lucky. Psychology can be really boring or really interesting and she made it as interesting as it could get. she is clear and helps you when you need clarity. She lets you text her your questions. You won't regret taking her class.

She was a cool teacher with a good personality and energy. I didn't like her class much despite getting an A; I had to work for it. She wasn't always very clear and you have to have your A game in taking notes with her. And her tests were death. She tests you like you're trying to get your doctorate in psychology. Suggested for hard workers only!

I love this teacher. She ventures outside of just teaching whats in the textbook. She helps you apply things to your life and is open to answering questions. She obviously loves teaching psych.

Just read the book and u will be fine. Took her for winter ended up with an A in the class. Gave a lot of extra credit. She does give really good lectures. Almost made me want to be a Psych major. Highly recommend!

This teacher really tries to teach the material so you will get it. If you pay attention, you can get an easy B. You have to work hard for an A.

I hardly had to use my textbook because she clarifies everything with power point, which are all available on her website. He quizzes are also based on it. If you miss class, you can always catch up at home because her material is availble for everyone. The quizzes are always vocab meaning it's easy to ace it. She also gives extra credit. LOVE HER!

Professor Pavlik is awesome. She shares real life experiences in lectures related to topics and is funny too. Her quizzes are easy, all you need is ppt. Exam #1 was ok, final exam #2 was hard. Whether you are a psychology major or not, take psych 43 with Professor Pavlik. The experience alone might alter your view of others as well as your view of yourself. Professor Palvik strives to create an open environment for her students to discuss issues while she maintains both a forum for critical and psychology thinking. Great instructor.

Take advantage of her extra credit. It helps ALOT and i mean ALOT. I went from a D to a B alone with the extra credit. Takes notes, come to class. Tests are not easy but not too hard either. All tests are multiple choice. They shouldn't be too bad if you just pay attention in class. Lifespan Psych is interesting.

The Psych1 summer session flew by, with 6 mc quizzes, a research paper, and a film review. Also offers a few other xtra cred assignments. If u take good notes then the book isn't needed

Dr. Pavlik is not what you expect from a psychology professor. She is super down to earth, have a great sense of humor and self-irony as well as being super qualified. She will swear, make movie references and keep it light hearted while keeping the level of lectures high. There is a fair amount of reading and tests but she's a very fair grader

Fall 2016! Professor Pavlik is amazing. Tests are easy and she gives a study guide. Although her lectures are based on power points, read the book. Tests are not based on definitions, so don't waste your time learning the definition, instead, learn the concept. Overall, great and easy class....

Dr. pavlik has an awesome strong personality. She is very clear on what you need to do in order to pass her class. Do your quizzes, research paper, responses and homework. Her tests are based on the quizzes. Study more situations, theories, and examples rather than definitions. Awesome class and professor!

You have four test for this class , but if you study it's easy to pass . There is also a research paper and two videos responses . Also , there are like 12 quizzes throughout the class. Pavlik lectures are great and clear . She cares a lot about her students . She knows a lot about psychology overall . She have good sense of humor .

Dr. Pavlik was one of the most inspirational instructors I have taken. She is so sweet and down to earth. Psych can be a very dense topic, she made it fun. Her lectures are hilarious and she is great at explaining difficult concepts. You should definitely read the chapters. Quiz every week that is very easy. She wants you to learn and pass!

She is an amazing professor, she is accessible outside of class & always has a smile, plus she is engaging. I've taken her for Psych 41 & Psych 74 & her classes are amazing & fun. No one likes to teach Psych 74 so she's the only one that teaches it. She gives you the opportunity for extra credit but no make up for exams or quizzes. Highly recommend

Dr. Pavlik is a real gem, so knowledgeable, funny, approachable I can keep going forever. Her lectures are all power point & she will post each one of them to canvas. There will some extra credit but no make ups. Shes very lenient, and should be an easy class. To top it off Pixie (dog) will make appearances throughout the semester and shes a doll.

Pavlik is a sweetheart, very caring, insightful, and has a lot of academic and life experience. She is a straight shooter and honest, she gives extra credit. She is a very nice teacher- often makes jokes throughout the class, knows how to keep her audience interesting with her stories, although her speaking manner is slow and somewhat monotone which may make you zone out once in a while. Other than that her work is fairly easy, just read+ study the lecture notes and you can pass the exams! :)

A straight-forward grader. Very easy to follow along with the material. Gives good feedback and makes the class easy to understand.

Took her for the fall semester. One quiz based on readings every week. Great weekly discussions. One midterm, a final, and a final APA paper. Everything went smoothly and I learned so much without stress especially during these times. TAKE HER!

I was feeling a bit broken when I took the class and she really helped me build confidence in myself and my ability to take care of my mental health.

I've taken professor Pavlik twice and both times have been a wonderful experience. She is quite assignment heavy but the assignments are fairly easy and straight to the point. She tries her best to help her students succeed. Honestly, if you don't pass her class then you weren't even trying.

I took an online class with this professor which had no meetings. There was 2-3 discussions 1 assignment and 2-3 quizzes per week. She is definitely not a tough grader. You will pass if you don't miss any assignments.

I took this class and it had no meetings. I was about a month long class and had 2-3 discussions per week, 2-3 homeworks and 1 assignment-essay, a midterm, a final and at the end there was a 6-7 page paper. She is very caring and gives feedback.
