best math teacher i ever had. he explains everything clearly and simple. he made me understand math and was very very helpful. teaching is great. take him you wont regret it.

for 146 he was great , I don't know about the higher levels, but for that level perfect teacher, you will learn the material in the class, not too much homework to do at home because u already learned everything in the class

This is a very hard class! Tests are extremely difficult! Do all your homework, attend every class and participate and he will pass you. As long as he sees you put in effort he will go above and beyond to help you pass the class. Im awful at math and should have failed but passed with a C because I put in effort. He's very funny and likeable.

Awesome teacher!!! He warns you to show up to class, asks questions, and gives hints on whats gonna be on the test. If you study, which you should, its easy. Theres no shortcuts just study!!!! And hes funny in a sarcastic way. You ask for help and he will be more than willing to explain it to you!

He is kind of hard-work guy, and he tries as much as he can to get the student understand the problems in math, just pay attention on his class u will get B for sure.

He is not a very good teacher. He purposely gives you the easy examples in the book and then he chooses the hard problems for his exams. I advice you to stay away from his class. It's not worth risking your GPA

He was a good teacher. He makes sure that you are prepared for the final. He helps you out with all the problems, and makes sure that you understand. It is a hard class, but with studying you will for sure pass the class with a C. But if you're looking for an easy class this is not for you.

True he's fast but that's what's the course's about.He's funny and keeps the class going. dont hesitate to go to the board and work out problems. his tests are easy if you go with his flow and do the examples. Ok this class was HARD!!! The amount that I spent studying for Math 101 is ridiculous...However, the tests are difficult but if you survive all the way to the final, he gaurantees that you will pass the common final exam...he was right, who ever lasted till the end got a B and so did I!!! Freaken hilarious little dude, he makes me crack up lol

He is a good person! he knows exactly the capability of the student. If he knows your aren't going to pass the class he wont baby you and surprise you at the end. The only reason his tests are so hard is because the district final you get at the end that you NEED to pass is hard as well, and his tests prepare you for it.

Statistics is a hard and challenging subject. However, professor Melikian is really helpful and friendly (amazing human being GBY). You can always ask him questions, he will be happy to help you. There sould be a lot of time dedicated to this course. There are total of 6 tests including midterm and final, and also 10% of the grade is from homework.

He does everything to help his students pass. People please understand that Statistics is not an easy course, and don't expect an easy A. It's all about the effort you put in. I studied many hours and even though I loved his teaching methods, I am glad that I am done with this course. Good luck with the course, and ask questions if you need help.

He is very good at what he is doing, very intelligent and educated. Professor Melikian is beyond fair in his grading and his main goal is to actually teach you stats. Some people think that he is rude but he is actually compassionate and caring. If you work hard he will reward you. That being said, it is not an easy class. You need to work.

I now study at Cal Poly, but my summer Statistics class with Ara Melikian will remain the best class I ever take. Professor Melikian is a great man and a superb professor; he has absolute command of the subject and made it absolutely approachable. The class was very intense, but the students who stayed and worked hard achieved true mastery. Do it.

He's a GREAT teacher! He wants you to do well. Let him help you! In general, stats is challenging. Ask for help. Ask questions during class. He is patient, kind, & very knowledgeable. I panicked so many times but he helped me understand. Try & you will do well. The people complaining are just whining. This is college. You have to make an effort.

Statistics is hard and you will have to put in work for an A in this class. Professor Melikian is hilarious and caring, and encourages students to ask questions so they're prepared for his tests (all written tests, does not use StatCrunch). You do have to study to do well in this class and that comes with attending all the lectures.

Prof Melikian is a very nice and respectful person. He teaches a little fast, but if you ask a question, he will stop and try to make it simple so you understand the problem. I am not a math fan, but I really enjoyed his class.

He is way so good. His lectures are completely understanding. However t is a hard course, he tries his best to make it really clear and simple. You may panic the very first week, but after that, you will see how it gets easier. His tests are all from the book examples. No homework. One project which is a piece of cake. Funny class.

Amazing professor. He helps students to earn a good grade. Grading is fair andTests are not very difficult just study the examples of the book and you are fine. What i really like about him is that he understands that not everyone is good at math so he helps students a lot. Highly recommended.

Great instructor. He tells you what to prepare and all of the test questions are from either the material he covered during his lectures or from the book examples he went over. Take notes during class and review them heavily before exams. Review book examples also and ask questions, he is very helpful and loves to help. Funny and friendly too.

Mr Melikian is an excellent teacher. He takes his time to explain every example in the book. You can meet with him after class if you have problems. He is a caring professor and very helpful. The course is very difficult and you have to put in a lot of time. the course is not for faint hearted or for people looking for an easy course.

Actually took him for 136 statistics but it wasn't one of the option I could click. He is a great teacher. His ultimate goal is for us to learn and pass the class. I know people say he seems to rush through the subject but that is because the subject is very dense and the pace is required. However if you ask questions he will slow down and help.

Professor Melikian is the most understanding and kind Professor at GCC. Math is in general a tougher subject for most students but he definitely makes the class very easy to understand. He will support the students with all of his power, and makes sure that everyone does great!

Math overall is not an easy subject but Professor Melikian wants you to succeed and will help if you ask. Don't know my grade yet, but definitely recommend! Do the work and you will be successful.

Prof Melikian wants every student to pass and he will curve/give partial credit as much as he can. He is very patient and will answer all questions. Sometimes the wording of exams can be really confusing, and other times the questions are literally straight from the book. Despite doing all the hw I didn't always feel prepared for the exams.

Math 136+ is really dificult. Mr Melikian explained the lessons really well. He used lots of examples from the book and outside the book. He gave us extra credit questions as well as assignment. He curved our grades. He reviewed the test material before and after the test. I recommend him with high regards.

Don't take this class if you don't want to study. The course is tough. He not only does all the examples in the book, he also makes up his own examples. He gives you a choice of questions in the tests and you can do any 8 or 9 out of 10. He is also very flexible with homework. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Melikian is a very old school teacher. He explains the examples from the book, gives the examples or homework questions on the exams and often times helps you out during the exam. Do the homework. Participate in class and on your own time. The material is on you to learn.

Melikian was literally the epitome of an armenian dad, loved him. He tried his best to make sure everyone passed and was very graceful with his grading. Very sarcastic but straightforward. Make sure to study and do hw to ensure a good grade. grade is based off 5 exams including final. one project which is 50% of the hw grade. 10/10 would take again

Mr. Melikian is a kind and caring. He explains the material very clear and the tests are not too hard if you pay attention and do the work. He also makes sure everyone has a fair chance to pass and also gives so many extra credits. Definitely take him.

Professor Melikian is one of the good GCC math professors! I didn't pass the class but Professor M gave me a opportunities (with curves) to pass and provided as much help as he could. You can tell he truly wants his students to pass. Tests based off book examples! Practice the book! Pay attention during class and you will be fine.
