Had him for FMO class. Great Prof. He's a little all over the place but very good at what he does. Speaks & moves through class extremely fast so pay attention. Gives extra points for turning in assignments first & stepping up to help when he leaves the room. Follow the pictorial calendar like the bible and you'll do fine. Would def have him again.

Don't let his first impression scare you. This is the Speech teacher you want. The book could use some work but he makes it himself so it's only $10. There's plenty of chances to make an A as long as you put in the effort. He will give you the guidance you need and will help you help yourself. The workload isn't too hard but does require time.

I was only 15 years old walking into this class as I am a JECA student and Even someone of my age passed the class with an A. Its not exactly easy but if you just do the work and try hard on the speeches you will do fine. It is a very fun and entertaining class to be in and I would love to take it again if I had the chance :)

Dr. Wortham is A+. He is quick, witty,and always ready to help the student succeed. The workbook used is easy and inexpensive. He makes a difference. Take him if you can.

Dr. Wortham was a fabulous teacher! I took his Flex I class and if went by so fast and I learned alot. You don't need a textbook, but you do have to buy a handbook from the bookstore on campus, its $15! and you get all of your work from that handbook! take it :)

Dr. Wortham is an excellent teacher. His class requires lots of tedious, busy work but it is easy. If you stay organized you shouldn't have a problem. He's literally trying to set everyone up for success not only in his class, but for the future. He's intimidating the first day but then you it becomes funny. Take it!

He has to be the best Speech teacher i have ever had. He is extremely helpful and will bend over backwards so that you do well in his class. The material is easy too!

Dr. Wortham is GREAT!!. Passionate, energetic & funny. I needed this class to graduate; waited til summer cause I’d heard from fellow Aggies, he was the guy to take. Fast-paced. He's not easy, he works you but very fair. It's challenge to do in five weeks at 8 am. Trust him and you'll do well. I’ve told all my friends to wait. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Wortham is a great professor. He has a unique personality but I really enjoyed it! He is very informative and encouraging when it comes to speeches. Put in the effort and it's an easy grade. He's a stickler for manners which is refreshing.

Awesome instructor. High standards but a fair grader. You will learn a lot that will help in other classes. Funny. Loads of opportunities to do well. Easy A if you just set your mind to it.

Awesome teacher who know his material. You need to be in class and you need to be aware that he expects a lot but gives a lot. Nice system of grading. You are in control, just have to stay focus and ask questions. Office visits are encouraged.

This class is easy if you pay attention to two things, Dr. Wortham and the calendar. It is the students responsibility to watch the calendar and keep track of due dates. The professor is an excellent public speaker with a lot of experience. He teaches everyone how to become a better speaker, and all of his assignments are geared toward this goal.

Funny, informative, and interactive are words I would use to describe the teachings of Professor Wortham. He makes you earn your grades, providing everything you need to do so. If you have concept you don't understand, he will try his best to amend that. His teaching style is superb, with well-paced lectures woven in with hilarious anecdotes.

Dr. Wortham is a fantastic educator and keeps the students engaged within his lectures and passes on valuable information beneficial to his class. He is a relaxed professor and is very energetic in everything he does and aids his students to the best of his abilities.

Amazing professor! He's very funny and down to earth. He tells you like it is in many ways, he's clear-cut. His handbook is very helpful, the definitions can be a little annoying but It's really no that bad. His assignments are not very difficult. Make sure you buy your handbook before the first day of class you are graded on that

It was a few years back when I took a course with him, but I decided to come on here and rate a few professors I've had through the years. For me, Dr. Wortham by far has to be the most memorable. He has an exceptional sense of humor and a deep respect for both his students and his work. He can seem a bit intimidating, but he has a heart of gold.

I went into this class being horrified of public speaking, while I am in no way cured of this fear now, Dr. Wortham's class helped me A LOT. Yes, the book is a bit hard to work through but if you actually pay attention in class you don't really need the book much. This class turned out to be my FAVORITE by far. Dr. Wortham Is AMAZING.

The coursework isn't hard, but there is a TON of little assignments. Speeches aren't difficult. Attendance is highly suggested so you can stay on top of what's going on. Turn things in on time and make it easier for yourself. Overall, he's a good professor and an interesting, funny, and accomplished person.

Dr Wortham is exceptional. There's a reason he was voted Teacher of the Year! You get the grade you earn. He makes you work for it but the experiences you get and he shares are awesome. You leave knowing more than you realized and that's what made his class one I looked forward to attending every time. He's funny, passionate and cares.

Dr. Wortham is AWESOME. I was petrified to give a speech. Not anymore. He inspires and is funny. The book's a "classic" like a '57 Chevy he says & cheap. Everything you need is in the book: excellent table of content, index as well as a glossary. This is the speech teacher to get you through speech. Great system of grading. Gives you control.

Dr. Wortham's speech class is one of the best college classes I've taken. I thought public speaking would be intimidating, but he makes the class enjoyable. Would recommend.

He really gets into the lecture and he gives a lot of real life examples which is extremely helpful. Questions! Ask questions if you need help, he is specific about all the work he gives out. Yes, there is extra credit! Just stay on top of all the work, quizzes, and test, it is an easy A class.

The Calendar was extremely useful. Makes it almost impossible to turn your work in late.

Dr. Wortham is very considerate in events that may stop you from attending class that day and is very flexible as long as you get your work done on time. He also tells great life stories which are relevant on what we are learning at the time.

Dr. Wortham is an amazing professor! He genuinely cares about his students and wants to learn from us as much as we learn from him. He does assign a lot of work, but he uses a point system not a percentage so you do not have to do all of them. He's fast paced, but he's always at office hours or available after class for questions.

Interesting definitely comes to mine with this professor... He is very enthusuiastic when it comes to his subject. He is quick-paced but he is willing to answer questions. His assignments are very easy. He tells you everything you need to know, gives examples, and most of them build off eachother. Show up, do the work, and you have an easy A.

Good professor, really cared if you cared for the class. He will make you speak up in class quite a bit and will call on you often. Lots of group work to be more engaged with everyone in the class. Overall easy class, he gives good feedback after you present your speech. In total there are 3 speeches, the ice breaker, and 2 about heroes.

An absolute gem. Eccentric, energetic is what you will get day 1 of class from this prof. He is a very knowledgeable and humble man. Engage him and he will do the same.

Great class, would absolutely take another course taught by Dr. Wortham. Attendance does matter, and you are required to participate during class, but if you complete most assignments youll receive an A. Professor was super helpful and communicative.

Dr. Wortham is overall an amazing guy, however he tends to get disorganized. He used a calendar that was (in my opinion) kind of chaotic and hard to understand. Inspirational, just sometimes a mess.

I had trouble in this class since I have a fear of public speaking. He is very mindful of those who struggle with this and he gives very good feedback. As long as he sees that you're trying your best, he will give you a good grade.
