His explanation is easy to understatnd. Whatever we do in class is on the exam.. so if you study hard, you'll get the satisfactory grade, I'm sure.. and his office hours are really flexible and long.. It's good for students...

Fair and generous professor in his grading, will test you precisely on the material covered in class. If you study his customized ppt slides and pay attention to his lecture u will most likely secure a good grade. Caveat: his exam questions are challenging, but reasonable.

He's great! He makes sure you understand the topics & goes over them several times. His slides are detailed & easy to understand. He tells you & goes over in detail what is on all the exams. He has a great sense of humor, especially because of all the stupid questions students ask (and there were a lot in the class). I highly recommend him!!!

Professor Vaziri manages a auditorium class very well. He is a very good and caring professor. Tests are harder than average; however, the pp-slides from his website provide all of the relevant information (book is optional). I am a notetaker and have seen a majority of the SOM professors; I can say objectively that he is the optimum professor.

Great professor! He will not fail anyone who shows up to class everyday and will pass you with a C. Don't even bother with the book, just know his PPT slides and you will know everything there is to know for the test. Easy A/B if you understand the material.

One of the best professors that i can recommand. He's always willing to help the students. One of the exam had 20 questions Multiple choice and each wrong was only 3 points.. so if you take the exam and got 0... you still get 60 points. it's not that hard. take him.

Nice professor but can become frustrated with him and his teaching style...not to worry, he gets better as the class goes along. Professor asef vaziri is a very helpful teacher if you see him after class. During class, just make sure you're not disruptive. His first two tests are east B's but his final takes some studying to get a good grade. I'd say easy B if you study hard 1-2 days before the test. Make sure you dont procrastinate on his games.

He's easy! The only complaints I have are that the game was irrelevant at first, but it started to make sense as lecture continued. Also, he repeats a lot! His SOM 306 class is a piece of cake as compared to all the other accounting classes i have taken at CSUN. The prof is very easy. U dont need the book. Just go to class and u should be fine. Tests r not that bad either. One of the easiest class I have ever had at CSUN. If you go to prof's office hours, he is very helpful.

Funny professor who is hard to understand but says silly things. He was somewhat helpful when it came time to study for test. I used his TA to help me out. This professor makes a boring subject tolerable. No textbook - teaches off powerpoint slides. Has his quirks but is interested in helping students learn. Requires two "games" (choose your partners well - he doesn't allow changes!) and takes attendance. I would recommend him.

Asef cuts all the b.s. aside and teaches you how, when, and how much to order for inventories for your business. A MUST for future small business owners.

Good teacher. When he repeats s/thing write it down, it will be on the exam. Didn't use the textbook. Online lectures are better because you can pause. Makes himself available beyond his office hours. If you read the powerpoints and do the hmwk, there is no reason you shouldn't pass his class with at least a "B".

This class was not that hard. If you follow in class and do the problems, there is nothing else you need to do. His quizzes were fair, the midterm was easy because he told you exactly what was going to be on it. The final was okay but he added hard questions.

This is basically an online class, and very easy! I recommend him 100%!!! probably the best professor for SOM! trust me.

He is an easy professor as long as you listen to the recordings, do the practice problems, and take the online quizzes with the hw problems. The midterm and final are like the quizzes. You will have at least 1-2 online quizzes per week. No textbook.

He is an extremely intelligent man. He should be out of the classroom and putting his talents to use. He is not clear at all when it comes to giving directions and can be very confusing. He gives you everything you need with his powerpoints. You need to put in the time and understand the problems. With other classes, this can be hard to do.

Hi is an amazing instructor, who is willing to help his students to understand the concepts rather than memorizing them. He does not require his students to buy expensive text books. Go through his provided power points, and videos and you will do great in his quizzes. If you do good on his quizzes, you will have no problem with his exams.

Dr. Asef is a very good professor his flipped classroom method "online lecture." Is very useful. You want to do good on the Quizzes? WATCH THE LECTURES. You wanna do good on the midterm and final? WATCH THE LECTURES. Everything on the quizzes is directly from his lecture. My favorite professor at CSUN. Don't be lazy and be willing to work hard.

SOM was not an easy class for me but Professor A provides extra credit. Show up to his class even though it's a flipped class setting and participate. Show that you care and so long as you try he will work with you.

Final is not easy, but the lectures are great, everything can find in the record. The professor has good communication with students, always makes us comfortable to ask. For a good grade, you really need to work hard.

He's honestly not a bad professor. The only hard thing about this class was figuring out how to play the 3 "games." I got an A in this course but the games I didn't know how to play at all. Going to his office hours helped a lot because he gives a TON of free points. He's very lenient, caring. I had no problems with the way he taught the material.

This class was pretty easy. Weekly quizzes. 3 online business simulation games that are worked in groups of 4, can be tough if you don't choose a good group. 1 midterm, 1 final. Heres the thing, hes a very involved kind of professor. 2 mid 1 final and 2 game stimulations + 10 quizzes on his weekly material. Almost dropped in the first weeks of class but then you get the hang of whats going on. Funny guy, sends a ton of emails but thats because if one person asks he thinks everyone is confused on some material too.

okay. he cares about his students, he really does. he makes it a point to be available to everyone at ALL TIMES even at 1AM. his lectures are just really hard to follow and u need to keep watching multiple times to follow what he's teaching. also make sure to choose RESPONSIBLE people as teammates or else you'll have a hard time with the games.

He is a very caring professor & did everything for students to pass the class. Yes, the recorded lectures are difficult to follow, but realize that SOM is a hard class. You need to dedicate time to watch the videos, sometimes 2-3 times. Constantly email him, he is willing to help u. He gave MANY xtra credit opportunities & curved grades a lot.

If you're looking for answers on quizlet, this is not the class for you. Though I passed with an A, I actually had to watch all of his lecture videos and take the extra time to study the materials. Overall, you are only graded on tests, but the professor offers many retakes and averages out the two grades. He truly wants all his students to pass.

Professor Ardavan is one of the most caring, helpful and amazing professors in CSUN Business department. His lectures are very easy to understand, grading is very good and he always ready to do his best to help students to accomplish their academic goals. He is super easy! All lectures are available online! A lot of quizzes, but this allows you to get an A! They are timed, but if you review the lectures, and prepare, you easily get 100! All assignments including quizzes are worth 100 points. He dropped roughly 4 of the lowest and allowed a few re-takes due to technical problems.

Professor Asef is caring and an amazing person. He really enjoys teaching and does the best he can to teach the course. Although SOM 307 is no walk in the park, he provides necessary material to review before an exam mid term and final. Ensure to watch his pre recorded lectures and practice your excel by using his templates he creates.

You can tell he genuinely cares for his students and wants every single one to pass his class. He's a bit quirky, and his material can be difficult to grasp at first. Once it clicks and you learn how his class structure works, it's not too bad. His quizzes can be a little brutal as they're only 3-5 questions and getting one wrong means a 70-80%.

This class is difficult if excel is SOM is not your strong-suit, but Professor Asef-Vaziri does his best to help his students succeed. Provides video lectures, practice quizzes, weekend quizzes and powerpoints which is a must to be able to grasp the material and pass this class. Good professor!
