Her classes can be tough, but she's a very good teacher, you just have to work for your grade and not be a lazy ass. She was cool, if you take your schooling seriously.

Interesting class lectures/discussions and material. Not an easy class but not exorbitantly difficult, either.

Great teacher. She provides many examples about herself and her family during her lectures which she uses to illustrate whatever topic she's talking about which makes everything much easier to understand. This was not an easy course but was excellent

I really enjoyed professor Kiotas. If I had to I would arrange my schedule just to make sure I would be in her class. Out of all of my professors, she was the one that I learned the most from.

shes pretty easy. just gotta read a grizip for the final. lectures dont mean ish if you read the book. dont procrastinate on the reading cuz it actually helps. and do all the extra credits. its really really easy too. forsure A. if you get a B..i duno man

Great psychology teacher who knows her stuff. Easy assignments, multiple choice exams (cept the final has a mini essay), and numerous guest speakers and videos.

Took her class online, but very fun. Class discussions were done online through a messageboard, multiple choice exams (pretty hard tho!) and a couple of reaction papers. If you keep up with the class, there is no sweating it!

She's is one of the best professors I've ever come across in my life!! She's sooooo kind and she's soooo helpful!! She knows her stuff and never puts anyone down. She gives everyone a chance because we all deserve it! She's such a great & warm person!

I took the Psyc 1 online class & got an “A” but it wasn’t easy. Her online tests are difficult, so you need to read the chapters more than once. She also requires essays, but they aren’t bad. You just need to read & read & read again!

I took an online class with her, and unfortunately, I thought the deadline for the final reaction papers was Friday instead of Monday. She gave me a time extension which allowed me to get an A in her class. It's not that hard if you try! Very nice lady!

Very Fun Professor,doesn't ask too much.Just 1 reaction paper and 3 online tests so you can use notes and your book. She also likes giving out free extra credit points were up to 30 so far and its only half way throught the semester.

She is a very nice person and will help you whenever you need it. The class is not easy, however, becuase there is a lot of reading and in order to do well in this class, you have to take really good notes on the reading and understand the material very well.

I took an online class with her and her tests were hard. Tip - don't wait till the last minute to read the text...read more than twice. She'll curve the test later. Very helpful, whenever I needed something or got a question, she's always there to help. Recommend this online class to anyone

She's a good professor. She's very clear and could be kind of funny. Her test aren't hard. She gives you the questions ahead of time. Take her you'll have fun in her class.

The more I think about Dr.Kiotas, the hotter she seems. Always curves the test which usually means 10 xtra points. Ex: if you get a 79 on the test, it actually becomes a "B" because the extra 10 points bumps it up to 89. Make sure you turn in all the assignments on time or else she will deduct pts

i had kiotas for several psych courses and found her to be witty, intelligent, and good lecturer because she makes the material interesting. she has a tendency to cut class time short, but i don't mind . can appear intimidating at times, but very nice and helpful if you talk to her!

Dr. Kiotas is the best teacher I have taken since I came back to school. She really cares about teaching AND really wants her students to learn. I must warn you: this is not an "EASY A CLASS!" It can be if you actually read the material in the "Frida Kahlo Psych Book." If you want to learn Psych, take this class. If you want an easy "A" take golf!

I took her Human Sexuality class and it was amazing! She loves to teach and it shows. Not super easy but if you pay attention and take good notes-you're fine. She's very outspoken & very forward!

I took this class during the summer. I found it very interesting. She's not the greatest lecturer, but the tests were out of the book, so it didn't really matter. The tests were all online, which I found a bit disconcerting at first, but it turned out ok. She does make classes enjoyable, and I learned a lot of interesting stuff.

well after taking her class i can say that she was really into making sure that her students knew what sex was. she went into almost everything, from STI's to sex positions, making sure that at least a majority of the class learned or understood the subject. very good teacher in my opinion.

Tests dont follow the book as well as it should. Strongly recomended class. Do the weekly posts and the two mandatory essays (i only did one which really hurt me).

This is an awesome class, but this class is very hard! If you really want to understand how to write a research paper, take this class. Dr. Kiotas really cares about her students learning Research Methods. If love Psychology, then this class is for you. If you want an easy A, look elsewhere. If you do well in this class, sky's the limit.

She was really easy, but you have to study for her exams if you expect to pass. other than that, it was a great class, and she made it really fun. she gives more respect to students that show they care about their grade.

The most candid and intelligent teacher at this school. Straight forward, direct, and knows her stuff; and she makes sure you know she IS the best. I got a C on the midterm, God knows what on the final, didn't do any extra credit, asked about her family, got an A.

Recieved an A in Fall 04 Psych 25. She's very active in involving her students for lecture. Her tests were online and as long as you read the book/watch the videos, you'll do fine. She does curve depending on the class and yes it's possible to get over 100% in her class.

Good public speaker. You can tell she loves what she does. I really liked her class! I recommend you do all the extra credit, it will help you out.

Dr. KIotas was a great professor. She was completely understanding if you need any help with the material. The tests rarely followed the book, but as long as you read you do fairly well. She curves the scores so thats a big plus. Just turn your work in on time, and overall don't mess around and you'll do well in her class. She really is great !

She really knows her stuff and the class can be very interesting if you pay attention. It requires a lot of notetaking and there are a few so-so slideshows, but she also has a lot of awesome videos and great stories! The exams (online, multiple-choice) are difficult but there are lots of extra credit opportunities. Recommended overall!

Hard tests, but are taken online. Never really taught, just let the TA's blab and made the sudents lecture. Plenty of extra credit pportunites.

Took it online during the Winter and it was a breeze. She'll sometimes curve tests, drops your lowest test score, and offers a TON of extra credit. Reading the textbook takes bit of time, but being at home, you can freely refer to it during tests which makes 'em pretty easy. The DVDs you have to watch for the class are actually pretty interesting!

I took her for Human Sexuality a couple of years back and she welcomed all students to contribute openly and constructively (although the students may not have kept to that formula). I appreciated her frankness and clarity on the subject as well as her sense of humor. Instructively she was great. She had a great choice of videos she culled from.

Easy class for three reasons: no homework; no essay; open book. Tests are comprehensive but straight forward. As long as you read the text book so you know where to find the answers or hints, you won't go wrong.

You have to read the textbook word by word and understand and remember the material in great details, because the test questions are extremely challenging. You would have no idea if you didn't study hard enough. But she offers a lot of extra credit that will really save you. So if you study hard and work hard, it's not hard to get an A.

Dr. Kiotas is wonderful! If you hav any questions, she'll be happy to help! She is such a sweet lady =) It is true that you have to read the book carefully and understand the material well because you are screwed if you don't. Discussions are easy and many many many extra credits are available!

Dr. kiotas is a very "ill show you movies and u read the book" professor. SHe does lecture...but her exams require that you read the book. I am learning alot in her social psychology class..but i find her a bit of a narcassit at times. other than that, shes pretty cool.

Social Psychology changed my views on everything in society as well as my life!!! I'm an art major, but after taking this class, I'm majoring in Social Work and it's because of Professor Kiotas. Her class is an "easy A", she offers so much extra credit, all of her tests are online (open book/notes), and she is incredibly influential. TAKE HER!!!

The online class is good if you are willing to do work on your own. I would rather be in a classroom though. She is great, but live is much better than online.

I've got her for social psychology right now, and she's great! Granted, it's a difficult class, but only because she expects you to be responsible for the reading. It's not unreasonable, especially if you're serious about the class. She really engages the class, and she might seem tough, but she's actually really easy-going.

Dr. Kiotas is vocal about her personal thoughts, which usually have nothing to do with the class. Exams are open book and online, questions are somewhat ambiguous and hard to find. Good news---she drops the lowest test score and gives extra credit for almost every exam. She keeps track of tardiness and absences.

This was an online class. The online exams are 100 questions each and have a lot of questions that aren't even covered in the book or the videos! A lot of the questions aren't even spelled correctly or grammatically correct. Some of the questions don't even make sense.It was those exam questions that made it tough.

an easy online class, tests were not hard if you actually read the book and understand the concepts. No need to memorize anything because the tests are online.

Took this class online over the Summer. Online classes take a lot of effort and are probably harder than going in where you can ask questions. However, if you read and understand the written assignments, you can get an A. I didn't like how one can monitor the other students written work...I didn't refer to it at all since writing papers is easy.

Her class was pretty interesting and entertaining. She talks about her real life experiences and applies it to Psychology. There is no way you can get less than a B in her class. She helps you out so much with Extra Credit. Of course, you got to be in a cool class where everyone participates, or else zzz. Im not complaining. My class was the best.

The majority of the first half of the semester you work with classmates and make presentation, which test your creativity more than your understanding of the material. Online tests are derived from the book, but Kiotas doesn't prep you for them; it's mainly self-monitored. It's an easy scholar's option.

She was very fair with her grading. She understood that not all students are good at test taking so she offered extra credit.

Kiotas brings wisdom, life experience and has a surprisingly refreshing and open minded viewpoint on life, religion, culture... freakin everything. This is one of the few professors I would like to keep in touch with after I have finished the class. The whole class (200 kids) gave her a standing ovation on the last day of class. She's amazing.

Very fun creative class. Class participation activities definitely provide a refreshing atmosphere than just sitting at your desk staring mindlessly. EC definitely helps alot. Highly recommended class!!!

It was my favorite class, i didnt miss one session and i looked forward to this calss every tues. the online tests were kinda hard but all the extra credit she gave us helped make up for it. I always have a great time in class because even though we are learning, Kiotas always jokes around every once in awhile so it's not completely boring.

Class was fun. Dr. Kiotas knows what she's talking about. Loved the fact that she used personal acendotes for examples which always brought laughter to the class. Lots of extra credit assignments helped my grade. The tests are ok, it covers the things one would not expect to be on the test. I learned a few things about myself. :)

Dr. Kiotas teaches Psych 23-Social Psych.I had her for my Intro to Psych-Psych 1.I enjoyed her class so much that I planned to take as many classes w/ her as possible.Her class is very interesting,& she relates much of terms and concepts to personal stories, so it's easy to relate.Read the text and pay attention! She knows what she's talking about!

I took her online class. honnest;y do not take the online class! the test consists of 100 questions and it is three hours long; by the 25th question I was drained. Luckily I pulled off a B. It takes up ALOT of your time.

Dr. Kiotas is great! I loved her class. Her lectures were never a bore. Only three exams a semester, and drops lowest score. Must complete at least two reaction papers. Lot's of opportunities given for extra credit. If it wasn't for the extra credit i wouldn't have passed with an "A". Class isn't easy; extra effort is needed.

I took her online Psych 1 class. There is a lot of material to cover, but as long as you highlight and read the chapters, you'll be fine for the tests. She is not good at replying to e-mails, but will respond when you post a question onto the discussion board. Not the easiest class, nor the hardest.

really funny teacher. personal reaction essays are EASY. she gives full credit if you did 1500 words, half credit if its less than that. test questions require you to apply your understanding of the book to the questions(use your brain a little!) but you can use the book so it's not too bad. lets you out of class really early. i'd take her again :)

She seems interested in us as students and wants to be sure we understand the material. Has quite a passion for the subject.

Online Class: Make sure you keep up with the readings (a lot of reading) she assigns you - highlight and take notes! Very easy class to pass if you just keep up with the reading and post your discussion questions. There are also videos - watch them. Drops your lowest quiz. you can keep track of your grade by adding up your points. 600 possible

She relates her life stories to lectures, which keeps the crowd alive b/c they're usually funny. Just do the work & you'll pass b/c she grades really easy. She doesn't lecture for too long, usually we'd got into groups & would have a brief presentation to the whole class. Not bad, just something different.

Recommended! She is very nice and straight forward. Tests were online so I just grouped with a couple classmates and met up at their house and took the tests. For each question we would all search through the book for the answers. Three brains > one! I have a thing for greek girls so in my opinion she is pretty hot! TAKE THIS CLASS!

Very energetic & competent woman. Learned a lot from her take on textbook content with her supplementary personal life and research. I took the class with over 100+ classmates, so hard for any 1:1 time to ask questions and clarification. Overall Most important is what you can get out of this class beyond grades.

Online class. It was a breeze. She is very nice and responds to emails quickly. The only thing i didn't like about this class was the Instructional DVD's which were totally unnecessary. They were great replacement for sleeping pills. FYI the textbook costs about $120

Dr. Kiotas is wonderful. If you can, don't take her for online because she is so good in person. She's very funny and keeps lectures really interesting, always in a good mood. You have to write some reaction papers on some films and all tests are online. Lots of opportunity for extra credit. Take her!!!! You won't be dissapointed

I took her ITV class. About 6 class meetings and all hw/tests are online. She takes role, so I'm not sure if she docks points. HW was just discussion topics. Tests are ALL from the book, but pretty tricky and timed. She was entertaining in class, but would have passed anyway without attending.

I love this woman. Excellent professor who wants her students to succeed. We had 4 online tests based heavily on the book and she dropped the lowest one. 2 "reaction papers" (read, not persuasive essays) based on videos. Tons of Ex Cr. Lectures are fun and engaging. She's just a joy to be around.

Kiotas is awesome. She's very funny, entertaining, and generous. She gives a lot of extra credit to get your grade up. her tests are online & timed, some are tricky some are fairly easy, but its all from the book. you won't regret takign her class, her class is just basically all group work, it's quite fun.

Buy the international edition txt book.I truly adore professor Kiotas,she is a wealth of knowledge and is clear.She let you know the numbers of assignments you have in the beginning of sem.Her 1000words paper may seem intimidating but almost everyone in class who submit gets an A.participate and visit her during office hours!!

Online tests are extremely tricky but it's open book and you can ask others for help. Class lectures are just outlines of chapters while the timed tests ask in depth questions. Know the textbook well, so you can flip to the right page quickly. If you do go to class, don't slack off.

I love this professor! Ignore the reviews from the online PSYCH 1 students. They clearly shouldn't be taken online class. She uses real life examples in her discussions and she doesn't rush through the material. Though she does cancel classes few times, she makes it up with her hilarious Greek personality. Exams are online, open book & notes. EASY!

Ignore previous complaints of Mrs. Kiotas' class because she has altered it to make it impossible not to pass. 2 hours for 50 question tests. You can literally flip the book for EVERY question. Some discussions online which are all very thought provoking. She engages the class and provides hilarious and memorable examples. Wonderful teacher.

Professor Kiotas is definitely a one of a professor....she is very clear in her lectures..and is very knowledgeable. She keeps the lectures very interesting to keep you awake during class. Exams are fairly easy since they're online. Just make sure you keep up on the reading and you should be good. Easy A if you do all the work. Take Kiotas!

She is my favorite teacher here! Love her teaching style. I pretty much got C's on all my tests and quizzes but did all my work. Got a B in the end :). She will drop the lowest test and quiz scores. I learned so much from her. I love her honesty! I'm taking her again next semester.

I am taking her online class, just 5 classes in a semester.Her knowledge is VERY powerful, but her online tests are tricky and not easy, you should read the textbook well.

I am not a hard working student at all i put in hours the day before tests or even day of tests and i passed the class with a B. She is a fabulous teacher and makes you want to come to class doesn't lecture the whole time and you do a lot of personality quizzes which are really fun She is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and passionate.

Quizzes are long but everything can be done over the course of two hours. Her lectures do not correspond with the material. Eh, I liked having only to see her six times a semester. With all this work, not really what I expected for an ITV course.

I am in LOVE with Kiotas. I took every single one of her classes just to see her. I know it sounds super stalker but I really don't care. I've always loved psychology and had declared myself a psychology major upon entering PCC. I dream to be a woman as amazing as she is. I ****en love Kiotas!

This teacher is absolutely amazing; very clear with what she wants and her class is hilarious and fun. All of the information on the quizzes and exams is either in the textbook or lecture so it's pretty easy to get the grades. Pay attention to attendance but she never assigned homework. Changed my major because of her... TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!

Dr. Kiotas is amazing! I took the Winter ITV class and it's not too hard. Her questions for the tests & quizzes are tricky. You need to understand the terms and know how to apply them because that's most of the problems. Just read the textbook, you really don't need the DVD, and do the discussions. If I can get an A so can you. Enjoy the class!

Easy class I took her for the online winter session. Read the chapters, take the quizzes and tests, and do the discussion which are very easy. Some of the questions from the quiz are repeated on the test, plus she gives you a lot of time to do the quiz/test

I took her ITV class this Fall with a couple friends, I ended up with an A but READING the book is NECESSARY if you want get a good grade. Attending the classes every 2 weeks or so isn't really that important shoe just reviews the material. I, like most people ended up reading 1-2 days before the quiz and test, the test being the hardest. E.C. too!

Dr. Kiotas is a real human professor! She relates her real life situations with whatever we are learning in class. It makes class interesting and fun. Online "quizzes" were taken on a weekly basis, some online discussions were required, and we had 2 extra credit opportunities. I also enjoyed the text book since it was very up to date. Best prof!

Kiotas is clearly invested in the progress and success of her students. You will not regret taking this class, but you will work hard.

Her exams are online, so you obviously can use the book, BUT, it's not easy at all. Exams questions are not obvious. You need to know what the terms mean because she provides scenarios, so you can't just look up the definition because it's not that obvious. She is very generous w/ extra credit, though :) Reading the book is a must

Amazing prof! Dr.Kiotas is passionate and will teach those who are willing to learn! She makes everything clear and if you don't understand it's your fault, she will meet with you if you make time. Hard tests, don't expect to get by without reading materials. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Took her online class. I'd say it was easy as long as you read and study the book, otherwise you won't be able to get A or B on the tests. Multiple choice 100 Q's each test and you have 2 hrs. to finish. It was challenging but exciting at the same time. Basically if you read the book, it wouldn't be so hard. I learned a lot by reading the book :)

Her online class was not so hard, but not so easy. You have to really read the book. There were 5 exams, I failed 2 of them. First exam was 50 Q's only, the others were 100 Q's each. She dropped lowest grade exam, so that was really nice of her. I thought I got a B, but somehow I ended up with an A...YAY!! Do the extra credits, they helped a lot :)

To say that this professor is amazing would be a complete understatement. Dr. Kiotas connects with her students and is very sweet. She is very clear with what she expects, and is always there when help is needed. Always makes her lectures interesting. Put in your full effort and you'll do great! LOVED her! Changed my college experience.

I recommend Kiotas for anyone who needs Psych 5. Four tests total. Final is accumulative. Be prepared to do lots of group work and presentations. This course is built around a research paper/experiment that is due at the end of the semester. Kiotas definitely wants you to learn how to do research papers, and she's very helpful and really nice!

I took summer online psych 01 course with Dr Kiotas. Be open to learning. Dr Kiotas is an amazing teacher. There are assignments, discussions, video lectures and Quiz each week provided for the students to complete. Dr Kiotas encourages use of critical thinking answers and she will push you to be better through out the term of the course.

Professor is not hard but not easy. You must work for your grade. Her instructions are clear and she does grade strictly but at college level this class is honestly not that bad. The book is essential but she makes everything clear in her instructions so class is easy if you stay on top of your stuff.

Prof Kiotas is AAAAMAAAAZING!! She is so knowledgable in her field and care about students so much, very inspirational!! I really enjoyed the class not just because of her lectures but also I found a group who work together really well (so that's another thing for this class, you have to do your research with 3-4 people)

Dr. Kiotas is not difficult, but its not an easy A. She is very helpful, but it takes her a while to respond to emails. I took her ONLINE class as an honors option. The class itself is pretty straight forward. Modules(discussions, videos, readings) and tests every Friday. If you read the book you'll be fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

I took Dr. Kiotas during summer. The class was very organized and interesting. Work consisted of 2-3 chapters per week, 1 quiz ( usually 40 questions - 3 attempts), discussion and short papers. She grades quickly and responds to email promptly. She is very polite and encouraging. Exciting class, and the book is free! Awesome Professor! Take her :)

There is 3-4 writing assignmentsweek. Also be prepared to read 2-3 chapters per week and take an online quiz. Follow the rubric writing requirements, submit assignments on time and read the free online book and you will get an A. Very straightforward and you will learn lots from what you read. She responds quickly to your emails and grades fast.

I took Dr. Kiotas' class during the summer. There's, 5 quizzes, 3 retakes each, about 15-20 discussion type assignments and one major essay. If you want to take the class for honors credit, she assigns another essay that requires you to do additional research. She's super fast at replying to emails and displays a clear rubric on every assignment.

Great class to take, especially online! I took the 8 week course, and we covered about 2 chapters per week, with 1-2 discussions & a quiz. We had a couple writing assignments and 1 essay to do about halfway. Professor Kiotas was very clear about her expectations, but also gave helpful feedback and graded assignments in a timely manner. I was in Dr. Kiotas's research methods class, and it was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences I've had during college. Learning to work with your group is a must, and she is very good about making sure that each member is graded fairly. Dr. Kiotas gives great feedback and is always very encouraging and ready to help her students.

I took Professor Kiotas Online for a 8 week course during fall session and I loved it. It was easy to navigate online she was specific on what she wanted. We had test every week they were unlocked Friday mornings and had to be turned it on Saturday nights. Honestly read your materal and you can get an easy A and do every assignemnt given.

I took her class spring 2017 and it's a pretty huge class. The textbook is online on pdf so you don't have to buy it and she teaches using slides that's available on canvas in accordance to the chapter we're on. Prof. Kiotas was fun and she really communicated and understood her students. The class was hybrid so tests were online. Would take again!

I took PSYC 1 online with the Honor's Option for winter intersession. Dr. Kiotas sets very clear expectations in her syllabus and grades assignments quickly. She is very friendly and responds to e-mails within 24 hours. There are weekly quizzes and discussion posts. The textbook is provided online. If only she taught business classes, too :)

Kiotas is one of the most engaging profs I've ever had! After getting a BA yrs ago, I went to PCC to satisfy prereqs for grad school & can't sing Kiotas' praises enough. Her teaching is superior to profs' I had at a major top-tier university. Clearly passionate about her students & wants to make sure they excel in class & beyond! Game changer.

Kiotas expects a lot from her Psyc5 students, as she should. There is a lot of work assigned, but it is manageable. I would recommend taking this class when you are not working or are taking less units. She is very straightforward as a person and will not settle for anything less than your best.

Super easy winter online class, answers are on quizlet. No midterm/final. Just 2-3 quizzes every week with a test at the end of the week. There are also discussions every week. Honestly, you can finish all your work in a day. Good if you're trying to fullfill gened. Let's say that you'll be able to balance a 15 unit+ schedule with this class.

Professor Kiotas' Research Methods in Psychology course presents you with an opportunity to push yourself. Yes, the workload is heavy but the class is well organized, there are no surprises and she is very flexible with her office hours. This was one of my favorite courses and professors I've taken during my two years at PCC. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Kiotas made the material easy to understand and assigned assignments that were applicable to the real world. There is one project that you are working on throughout the course but she sets deadlines throughout the course that ensures you stay on track. She was always accessible for help via Zoom or chats.
