She is very helpful, available before and after class, answers questions during class, but her tests are hard. Her teaching skills are good and she uses a lot of examples to address the topics. If you want to learn Chemistry, take her class.

Chemistry is not an easy class and i thought she was a great teacher. If you show up to class,and do your work you will learn in this class. She also gives you 3 extra credit assignments that you can apply to your test scores. It is not an easy class but she is a good and clear teacher. i highly reccomend her.

This teacher is great. She is helpful while teaching a course very difficult. I have read other rates, but I believe the bad ones are sent by students who dropped off the course for lack of effort/aptitude. She keeps the students informed of their grades periodically and I witnessed the final grades. More than 50% of the class scored B and above.

She is fast paced but she is crystal clear and comes across extremely well. She goes out of her way to give extra credit and reviews everything before lecture ends with problems of what she just introduced you to. all health sciences are difficult people. lots of studying is required regardless of which professor you take! she provides helpful reviews, and online powerpoints that are discussed during lecture, her test are fair, shes a highschool teacher by day/can occasionally give off attitude but, generally cares about her students and their progress.

This was the CHM 1033L. Manual a must. Ok to make copies and submit. She knows her stuff, very helpful. Class is a simple lab class. Take her reg CHM 1033 class and her Lab simultaniously. Make it earier for you to study once for both classes. Tests come from test bank. Not extreamly hard. She's very good but you need to study.

She is an excellent professor and I have crossed paths with other nurses that have taken her and all say the same thing. She goes the extra mile to help her students and cares that you understand how chemistry works. You can tell she is passionate about it and is really helpful.

I had her for Lab. She is a great professor and even if your lecture teacher isn't clear about the material she is. I would take her class over if i had to. I recommend her to everyone. Make sure to do all your pre-labs and be there on time. Tests are made by department so she gives you a clue of whats going to be on exams. Good Luck!!!

Her tests were multiple choice, but her class had 100+ students. After tests she presents the % of students who scored A, B, etc. More than 50% of the class ended up passing with C or better.

She mostly teaches the Chem for future nurses. The class is hard, but she helps through office hours and email. Math problems are answered in class through examples. You need to keep up with the material, it is a lot to cover in a semester. If interested in a good grade, just study and follow her directions. She guides you toward success. I got A.

Great professor. I loved her class. The first half was all math and converting numbers and the second half was mostly memorization. She knows her chemistry inside and out and explains it very well. You honestly don't need the book for this class with her cause she uses powerpoints.

I had the opportunity to take the class with her. First off, the tests are generated by the dept, but she guides you through the most important topics for tests. During the lab, she gives an introduction of the lab and clarifies many things I did not get during lecture. She is very helpful and compassionate, but you are expected to study.

She sends power points to study at home and goes over each and every slide during class, a bit fast so you have to write quickly. If you miss a class, you miss 25+ slides. I had an auditorium class which is difficult to focus with so I was having a difficult time understanding info but she is a god professor!!!!

She's AWESOME! No online hw, just the exams which are short and simple, straight from the powerpoints plus no book needed, she makes sure to prepare you. This is my 3rd time taking chem and I wish all chem teachers were as easy as her! She doesn't teach all the unnecessary stuff she knows you won't ever need again. Highly recommend!

Professor Garcia is amazing. Obviously, chemistry is hard. If you slack, you'll fail or get a bad grade. Pay attention to the slides. She gives 4 exams and 1 final. She sends reviews for you to complete at home and answers some of the problems inclass. I suggest printing out the slides she sends and bringing them to class.

Professor Garcia-Minsal is exceptional. I loved her personality and teaching style. She's very concise and has a great sense of humor, which keeps the class interesting. She teaches mnemonic devices that are really helpful for memorization. I wish she taught the next level of chemistry; I will definitely miss her. Great experience!

Took her for 1033L as well. This is chemistry, so it's not a walk in the park. But if you do your part and study, do her assignments for extra credit, and pay attention to her lectures, you'll do fine. Through repetition you'll learn it all. She is cut-dry and to the point when it comes to what you need to know for the test. Same goes for her lab.

I personally HATE chemistry and I thought this was going to suck, but Minsal made it in a way that it all made sense. This is the type of class where you need to dedicate time to it and if you don't expect a low grade. Besides that, SHE gives you all the information needed and her TIME.

You do have to study, but she provides the PowerPoints and study guides. She made Chemistry interesting and the material has helped me in Nutrition class.

Professor Minsal makes even the hardest material incredibly comprehensible and she really cares for her students if she sees that you are trying. Those that are saying she doesn't give you everything to know for the exams need to grow up because you are no longer in high school. This professor made organic chemistry tolerable. Professor Garcia Minsal made this difficult class enjoyable. Even in a remote setting and then in person but limited interaction, she went above and beyond to help me. She solves problems in class and uses power points. She posts her notes on BB and creates extra problems to help for the tests. I did poorly on my first exam, but final replaced it.

Her lectures are posted, she solves problems in class. HW online (OWL) and extracredit available. Class is very hard, but she makes it rewarding. Half of the class will attend one day in person and the other half would stay home. Reverse for the next day. She responded to my emails within a reasonable time. I would definitely recommend her.

Wow! Passing this class has bee one of my biggest accomplishments thus far. It feels really good. She helped me through it. First test was F, worked my way up with her advice and work the heck of problems. I did all of the HW (OWL) and extracredit. Final exam replaced the lowest grade. She was very inspiring and got me determined to succeed.

This was a lab class blended at the West Campus. Class divided into two groups taking turns to go and do lab physically. Online quizzes before each lab (5 quest), lab reports two weeks to complete, plenty of time. Our lecture was way behind, but she tried to explain the material in the lab. Hard class, but she helps in the lab.

CHM1045L is a lab class. The test are written by the department and graded by the professor. She is available during class and answers all questions that are asked. She answers the exercises for each lab report and gives you credit for turning them in. I would have loved to have her as my lecture professor as I like how she explains the material.

She has a specific sense of humor when talking to students and some people find it funny, while others see it as insulting. For learning, take the class. If not, then be cautious.

this was a lab class in Kendall campus. Syllabus and schedule of labs done by department. She answers the exercises of the lab manual in recitation and then gives you credit when you turn in the report. During the lab she is available to help with procedures and techniques, but she is very picky on how reports are done. I learned a lot with her.
