Aric is a very entertaining teacher. The class itself did not introduce very many dramatic concepts and there was only one test. The questions for the test were given in advance.

Aric is the best prof I have ever had. I would recommend him to everyone. The class was entertaining and co-created by students throughout the semester. Aric is one of a kind. Everyone should take at least one class with Aric! Aric is a forward thinker and is in front of his peers on all levels.

the class was really interesting and pretty easy. we watched a lot of youtube videos and discussed aric's iphone frequently. the case is graded pretty strictly but all the other components are straight forward. he even has you choose your grade breakdown. hilarious prof and one of the best i've had

Aric made class super fun! He is hilarious! No tests for this class. Just papers and a large group simulation project. He is always willing to help you with any of these things.

Favorite class of the semester. I always looked forward to it because it was fun and the students were collectively engaged. Enjoyed the array of educational modalities.

He is the best teacher that I've had so far, and I'm a Senior...-_-;; He tries to relate the course materials to the current events (Wikipedia, Threadless, Nokia). He has credible acquaintences for guest lecturers. These factors made the course more interesting. I highly recommend anyone to take MKT 440.

Cool teaching materials and dynamic class

One of the best professors I have had in my four years at UW Madison. Class was engaging and very enjoyable. You determine (within limits) how much each assignment/test counts towards your grade.

Aric is a really nice guy and is very approachable. He is funny and makes class interesting by using a lot of real life examples and youtube clips. The simulation that you have to do can be really annoying if you don't do well but otherwise the class was relatively enjoyable.

Every single class is a great show. In the beginning, this distracted me from the contents. But over time, I saw that, from the academic point of view, Aric and his NPD course is a lot better that in thought in the beginning. Highly recommended.

The class was great. Although I think the material is a bit over-hyped, it was definitely brought some interesting concepts to my attention. Also, Aric is very approachable. When I showed up in his office, he immediately hung up the phone and we talked for two hours. Oh, and he longboards...way cool. That definitely added to his hotness rating.

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! I know all of these reviews say that, and I was a little concerned he would not live up to the hype, but he did! Aric is a very friendly and interesting professor who really cares about students. However, if you like a class that has a structured curriculum you will not get it here. Very few topics are actually taught, its more about learning companies doing NPD and new innovations.

Fascinating professor, class is one of the best I've taken. Very different because you won't follow a set syllabus with exact grading requirements laid out. You may find you're not really sure how/what you are being graded on. Be prepared to be flexible and take risks in the class, it's worth it.

Hands down best professor in the business school. Maybe UW-Madison. Learned more than I have in any other class. He really cares about his students and encourages everyone to participate. He also taught us about things that are actually happening in the world of business TODAY, a rarity in most classes. The rest of the UW needs to catch up to Aric!

I hated this class. It was a waste of my life. He may act like hes open to innovation but he has an opinion of what he thinks Marketing will be in the future and brushed off any students attempts to contradict him. If you are a level headed student who would prefer to learn something...take a different class.
