I enjoyed this class very much. He knows how to teach the material very well. Should put up powerpoint slides in advance so it would be easier to take better notes during class because he posts them up after anyway. 3 exams, no paper, some questions come from the book, but mostly from lecture. I would recommend taking this class

He was a very good professor and cared for his students. The class as a whole was straight forward and most of the material came from the notes in class, so go to class and he test review to do well in the class. People complaining about him are definitely used to professors coddling them. His Cog class is super easy, take that (or Stats) first...if you do well, take L&M or Experimental. Thought this class would be a breeze but it wasnt. This professor talks at the speed of light. I genuinely feel like this topic wouldve been way better with someone else. Wants everything done in a specific way and is a very exam centric class. He makes lame remarks and gives a lot of extra credit. Talked bad about other staff as well

I do not understand how this professor has such a high rating. He has been rude to not only me but other students as well. I now know someone who had him five years ago and they said he was the same back then. There are too many exams with little time to prepare. Be ready to study a lot as your grade depends on exams and one long final paper.

It's a little frustrating to pay thousands for professors to just post old video lectures they recorded one time during the fall semester of the pandemic. His lectures are okay but he talks so quickly and matter-of-factly so it's made it a little challenging with comprehending some of the tougher material. He does provide nice study guides, though.

Nice guy, but his class was my least favorite psych class I have taken. Lectures like we already know the material and focuses on research rather than teaching and clearly defining concepts. I only did good because I read the book, but I didn't think I was paying thousands to read a book I got off libgen.

The material was interesting, and he was a great lecturer and gave many opportunities for extra credit. However, his exams were the most difficult tests I have ever taken, and you have the option of two shorter lab reports or one longer literature review. If you are up for a challenging class, I really recommend this one.

Class consisted of tests, one review paper or two lab reports, and discussions. there was a lot of extra credit, probably worth up to 4-5%. Tests r difficult - best way to study is to read the book/rewatch lectures. Pay attention in lecture and note the studies that he covers. Overall fun and doable class.

In this master's level class the professor was always late to class, never taught, and just told us to read the textbook. He didn't care and couldn't be bothered. It was the worst experience I've ever had in my higher education career.

I recommend taking any class with this prof. Expectations are always clear and there are many opportunities for extra credit. The class is easy, interesting, and fun, but only if you put in the time to study. If you have good study habits then the class will be great for you. Reading and studying from the textbook also helps a ton.

This professor took an average of one week to respond to my emails, completely ignored one of my emails about getting additional help, and made completely harsh and inappropriate comments on assignments. The book is only needed for the first test, and after that is never needed. To say tests were hard would be an understatement.

Genuinely one of the worst professors I've ever had. I would constantly be trying to email him but would either get no response or one that would be too late for it to be helpful. His messages to the class and directly to me were highly unprofessional and off-putting as well. I truly believe he just likes failing students.

By far one of the worst professors I've had. Not his teaching but his demeanor. He made the class so difficult coming from an A student. Good teacher knows what he is talking about. Speaks at the speed of light. was rude on many occasions asking for help. He's misleading. wish I would have avoided and so should you. Gpa will drop. Harsh grader

Main complaint I see from other reviews is that the class is hard and he expects you to have some background knowledge. Well...yea? It's an upper level course. You should have some background knowledge and it will be harder. Also, being in the WhatsApp group the main thing I noticed is no one studies and then blames the professor. Pro tip: study.

Main thing I see from other reviews is that prof is rude, unresponsive to emails, unhelpful and talks too fast, not that he's too hard. Plus, the only background knowledge most people have is from Psych 101 which isn't much background at all. So it's not about studying more. Its about having a prof who cares and helps students learn.

This wasn't the worst class I've taken, but I would not take a class with this professor again. 3 exams, each worth 25% of the grade, and 1 paper worth 20% of the grade. He uses lecture slides from more than 10 years ago and he tries to make his lectures fun, but they go too fast and not enough information is given for the material on the test.

Genuinely a great professor, he's very understanding and easy to reach. As long as you stay on top of assignments and complete them at the beginning of the week, you'll be fine. He offers plenty of fun extra credit opportunities, and most of his assignments are enjoyable and educational. I would 100% take this class again and that says a lot!!

He is a very nice professor who answered all of my emails very quickly and helped me when I needed it, as well as a very easygoing person who feels with his students. His exams are tough, and lab reports have a lot of criteria, but if you do what is asked of you and follow the rubric, you will do just fine. There are a lot of extra credit chances.

I was nervous to have this professor based on some of the reviews on this cite. However, I found him to be approachable and caring. He was always willing to clarify and if you reach out, he responds very quickly. He just wants you to do the work and make sure to turn it in on time. I would definitely take another class with him.
