I'm a Bio major & went into this class dreading Physics-but Dr.Kocharian is an excellent professor! Enthusiastic & interactive during lecture-very willing to answer all questions! Very nice & helpful with practice quizzes & exams-which are tremendous help for the actual ones! He actually wants u to learn & u do! Take this class if u want 2 do well!

An awesome and easy professor. He basically gives you a practice test for his quizzes, tests, and if you know how to do that then you?ll get an A. Physics is one of the hardest courses on this campus but having this teacher will definitely help you pass and even get an A. I had Kocharian for 101, 102,103, and I would recommend him.

Dr. Kocharian is a great instructor, willing to help students who are not doing well in the class, tests are based on hw and if u pay attention in class you'll do great on quizes the best professor for the physics series.I was glad to have him as a mentor.

Dr. Kocharian is great! I had him for PHYS 102 & 103. He is extremely helpful and he cares about his students. Physics is probably one of the hardest core science classes and most of his students are not Physics majors. Therefore he does his best to not make the class harder than it is. *Take Trigonometry before you take this class!

I loved professor Kocharian's physics 103 class. His study guides, for both the quizzes and mid terms, are great to use to study. He is also very kind, and will go out of his way to help you. Just be in class for his quizzes and STUDY the study guides he posts.

I don?t understand why people are saying bad things about Dr. Kocharian. He is one of the most helpful professors in CSULA. I had him for all 3 PHYS series and he is the BEST! I mean his exams are almost identical to the practice exams and the problems are very general. People with poor comments are those who probably got bad grades in his class.

I have mix feelings about him. I took him for Physc 101 and 103. I did not take the class seriously, so I do deserve the grade I got. However, he was very understanding and flexible. I recommend him.

He's a very nice professor. I took physics 101- 103 with him and got all A. The practice quiz is very helpful. Don't think that multiple choice questions will be easy! They're not. You need to study though. I really recommend him.

Sad about the change in the grading scale. He was helpful and made class fun and interesting. The previous professor always made me so sleepy. With professor Kocharian,I was able to stay awake and learn. He puts up practice quizzes, midterms, and final. Practice those, attend class, and you should do fine.

Physics scares me. I never expected to get a B. I barely passed phys 101 and 102.If it wasnt for Dr.Kocharian's teaching style and help it would have been the same for Phys103. Do the practice quizzes and tests. They help alot. Dr. Kocharian is always available by email or office hours. You will walk away with a B and actually learn physics.

Professor Kocharian is very helpful. He explains well in the class, and if you do all his homework, practice quizzes and exams. You will definitely get a good grade in the class. Class consisted of weekly quizzes and fast lectures. Lab did not reflect lecture due to the fact that specific lab topics were held before coinciding lecture. As a professor, Kocharian seems passionate about physics, and is very willing to help students after lecture is over. Discussing physics one-on-one was more beneficial to me.

I took this course at L.A. Pierce College. He was very helpful, and willing to help the students. He followed the book and the exam materials were related to his teaching materials.

Dr. Kocharian is incredibly passionate about what he teaches and takes as much time as needed to get you to understand the concept not just memorize the formulas. His lectures are information packed with concept explanations, practice problems, and quizzes so DO NOT skip class! Tests are a lot like his practice midterms. Would take again :D!

I took him for both physics 211 and 212. He is a good professor and willing to help. His class sometime can get a little dry because of the materials. Grading is fair and curved! He also provides practice midterm and final which were very helpful. As long as you are willing to put in the effort, you will earn that grade. Not easy A class!!!! Doable

Lectures are rather straightforward, he does upload PowerPoints for student use. They help a lot so be sure to download those to read. Biggest pro is that he curves quizzes and exams as well as the final grade. Make sure to study the quizzes as the problem on there will come up again on the midterm and final. Nice and chill guy, would take again.

Study time will vary for people but definitely put a lot of effort into studying for the midterm and final. Outside of the classroom he is pretty nice and helpful. Overall would recommend, but be prepared to work.

Professor is very sincere and willing to help you pass the class. Quizzes are based off of the practice quizzes he gives you at the end of every week. Lectures are straight off the book so there's no random non-book related topics. I'd take this class with him again because i KNOW i will pass.

Professor gives power points on every chapter to better understand material. Read every chapter on textbook to keep up with weekly quizzes and homework. Very nice professor! 213 material is hard, but the professor was generous enough helping everyone ! we had weekly quiz at the end of each chapter to help us to study weekly and don't get behind! Expect One mid term, super quiz, final, online homework for each chapter, in class homework. We always got practice quiz and test.

Professor Kocharian is great. He is honestly really sweet and will try his best to help you if you seek the help out. His lectures are a bit hard to follow but I think its doable as long as you work on the online assignments and prepare for the tests. He does do a formula cheat sheet that you can use for the tests!

Professor Kocharian was very understanding of his students and moved the Sapling due dates so his students could get the best grade. Definitely do the practice quizzes and practice problems he uploads to Canvas to prep for the quizzes and exams (Those questions are on his exams). Also, make sure to use his study guide. 10/10 would take again!

Dr. Kocharian is by far one of the best professors I took @CSULA. He taught Physics very well and really wants students to learn and pass. He is very reachable outside of class and expands office hours for students. If you miss a deadline on the sapling assignments, he will open them up again so that you don't loose points! 100% recommend!!

I took Professor Kocharian for PHYS 1100. I found his lecture style very easy to understand and his notes were extremely clear. This class had been taken in person. Do the homework and read the textbook for better understanding of the material and the grades. Do his practice quizzes to succeed on his quizzes and exams.

Professor Kocharian is a fabulous professor. This class was completed during the pandemic, so it was a lot more difficult than his in-person classes. Zoom is not conducive to easy understanding of Physics but Professor Kocharian truly did his best and answered every question, even if the question was repeated. Professor Kocharian Is ok i had him for the lab. I learned a lot in the lab he taught me how to add vectors properly which helped me in my Lecture and Calc 2. He's a good teacher and clears up a lot of things I didn't understand from the lectures. The only downside his he takes half the semester to grade lab reports other than that I recommend.
