Not a bad professor. He talks about sex and the Bible in every class. And if taking a three hour class, believe me, he can talk all three hours. But, if asked questions, he answers them. He seems hard but after a few classes he gets easier.

YAWN! He is a good teacher and I liked the class, he gives lots of writing assignments though and we did a collaboartive project that took forever... and he isn't the most interesting guy to listen to either.

Very easy teacher, clear on assignments and very interesting. FUN CLASS!!!

No quizes, no graded homework, grades fairly, open book exams, talks alot about random things. Warning: BORING CLASS & limited # of absenses! Take this class, just do other homework assignments from other classes.

This class is not easy and there is a limited number of absences. However, you have interesting discussions in class and read interesting texts. Just do your work and this class is not bad.

okay he is a little boring, but I really like him.He grades very well, i've gotten all A's on my english papers that I only spent like 5 minutes on.He is very nice and understanding. EASY A class. If you want an A definitley take it with him!!

I respect him very much. Personally, I think he has a lot to share with his students...the tricky part is to learn how to listen to him. Once you get it, the class is a pleasure and you will earn easy A. Very nice man!

He's such a nice guy and if you take the time to ask him questions he will answer all of them until you understand. His class class can be boring but that's just b/c i'm not very interested in literature. I think he's easier than most of the English teachers. TAKE HIM!

Yes he can be boring if you're not interested in poetry or literature; however, he's such a nice guy. Just show up to class (bring h/w from another class if you want to do something, or just listen to him). He grades fairly and even gives you a chance to redo your paper for a better grade. Take him I got a B in his class and I suck at English!

I took Eng 111, Eng 112, and Eng 251 with him. Great professor!! I highly recommend him. I'm not good in english but got straight A's with him. He lets you redo your papers to get a better grade. GREADS VERY WELL. Just make sure to show up to class and turn your papers in on time. Trust me you wont get lower than a B. Very nice teacher!

Lots of reading required. He's a huge new england fan... can be really boring but if you pay some attention you can do ok. tests are all essay but open book. Tip: get cliffnotes for all readings!

This class can be challenging and demanding, but I learned more from his class that follows me today. He is a great educator.

I adored American Lit. with Dr. Bradford. He is an extremely intelligent man, who provides excellent commentary on the symbolism, historical and author-specific contexts of the literature being studied, and has a great dry sense of humor. Yes, your writing assignments are rigorous, however, you also learn a tremendous amount about lit.

professor bradford is really a great teacher. some say he's "boring" or "tells bad jokes", but he's an extremely intelligent and very nice man. you will learn a lot by taking the class, even the hybrid class. attendance is mandatory though, and you have to do your assignments or you'll fail. but come on, it's college.

yes, this is a difficult class, but it's well worth it to do the work. working with bradford made me a better writer. he's an amazing professor and a great individual. i made a's on every assignment, but then again, i actually did the work. his english class is great, but there's no room for slackers.

This is the most boring, most monotonous class I have ever taken at NOVA. However, if you do your work, you should get a good grade. Just be ready to watch the clock.

I took this as an online course. The workload is normal, read a chapter and write on discussion board and a journal. Exams are pretty hard but he curves it. Review sessions are a bit dull as he seems to wander off at times, but its helpful. Chances are you'll never get a 100 % on anything, but you can get an A if you work hard.

So very boring. I thought I'd like the class. Now every time i go in there i end up falling asleep or getting up and leaving. Don't take his class unless u want to waste ur time.

Very challenging class. I Love this Professor. I can say I gained a better ability to write and understand material. He has taught at prestigous universities and treates his students with the ability to learn and not like they are hanicapped.

Professor was clear on expectations for class. Class involves reading thirty pages a week, one essay, and studying for exam per week. He provides specific requirements he expects met. If you do what he says you will get an A.

I would not reccomend Dr. Bradford to someone who is fairly new to college or is not prepared for a large workload. Make sure to read the Syllabus carefully and abide by all requirements because he is not lenient at all like most teachers. This course seems to be more of a part-time job and requires a lot of work. Exams require lots of studying!

Dr. Bradford is a lovely man and knows a lot of information! He is very knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches and the world in general. Really enjoyed listening to him talking in lecture and he throws in occasional humor, which was nice. Great professor, willing to help you if you need it and he really makes you think!

Not sure what all the negative reviews are for. His class is difficult, but not bad. Read the assigned chapters, attend the lectures/online meetings and ask questions. He provides great feedback on all of your work and again, don't be afraid to ask questions. Exams require some memorization but do the above and you'll be fine.

Exams are difficult and require you to study a lot but he is passionate about the course material and will respond to your questions quickly and thoroughly. You will have to put in the time studying but he is a good professor.
