I liked Mr. Wood. He is a great teacher. Film is an easy class. The open book quizzes you take home are a pain, but once you do that and your 4 papers, it's all but movies. Prof Woods is awesome. I had to take an incomplete because of work but he worked with me to help me get through everything. At one time I had given up and decided to fail the class and take it over but he pushed me so that I wouldn't waste my money. I took this online so you have to watch the programs. He answers questions and makes things clear.

He instructs students to "write what they know" and is EXTREMELY helpful in correcting all the grammatical errors of essays. Prof. Wood is probably the most easy going profesor I'll ever know. He shows a movie and then asks that you blog about a certain element of the film on blackboard. This is a great class that you learn a lot in. Its something of an off-the-wall topic in college and is therefore quite refreshing.

I took his online and it was very easy as long as you write the essay by the dead line. You got 2 weeks to complete 1 essay.... He's his a bit of a funny sarcastic personality.. Took the all online SPC2608 class. What a great decision! If you need public speaking please take this class, you wont regret it! You need a camera to record yourself giving the speech. Professor Wood is a great professor. Sometimes we as students need a reminder that there is professors out there that are rooting for us to succeed, Professor Wood is one of those professors. He is willing to help in any way possible. He has helped build my confidence in public speaking. I would take him again.

Professor Wood is without a doubt one of the best teachers for public speaking. I have crippling anxiety and thought I would bomb this class, but he made me very comfortable and gave amazing feedback so I knew exactly what to work on and how to better myself. Professor Wood is one of the best teachers that I have taken while in college. He offers wonderful feedback on assignments and responds to emails in a quick manner. Participation is key in his class. One of the best online professor's I have ever had! He doesn't overwhelm you with work and you only have 4 speeches. He's also very understanding and as long as put in effort he is not a harsh grader. Do the work, and you will surely pass with an A. I held off taking public speaking for 3 years and taking this class made me wonder why. He is the best teacher Iv ever had and ever will have. He is extremely fair and you could not ask anything more of a teacher. He makes everyone feel comfortable and If I could I would take him for every single class. Prof wood was a great choice for speech class! We had great discussion boards which helped to break the ice and be comfortable with classmates for giving speeches. His assignments are straight forward and he is always reachable by email plus he gives great feedback. You can work at your own pace by working ahead. Highly recommend taking him! BS10

Professor Wood is a great professor , mainly because he is very passionate about teaching or " developing minds" as he would say. He will go out his way to ensure that you understand and have the opportunity to succeed no matter what. He is lenient and very clea as to what he expects. I took this class last year but forgot to write a review. I informed professor Wood of my extreme anxiety and he worked with me to overcome it. I dont think Ill ever have a better professor. Hes incredibly intelligent and kind. Take him if you have the opportunity! You will learn and grow. Youll want to go to class.

Prof. Wood was a great teacher. All of the learning content is posted online. He shares example work making it clear what is expected of you. Cares about your grade. I missed one week of discussion post and he emailed me to turn it in anyway for some credit. I was going to accept the zero. Do the work he assigns and you'll be good to go.

Best class Ive taken so far. One of the best professors to take! Have loved this class. This class not only helps you become a better speaker but gives you an opportunity to have very intellectual conversation. Non verbal communication was my favorite part. If you complete the work you should pass. He give you an opportunity to resubmit work.
