I adoree this teacher! She is always and I mean ALWAYS in a good mood. If she's mean to you, you probably deserve it. She goes by powerpoint and makes class VERY interesting. Easy A if you do your work and study. NOT HARD! RECOMMEND!

Awesome professor! She teaches through power point presentation, highlighting the main points you will need to know. GREAT personality, she's there if you have any questions or need advise with school or personal problems. She keeps you informed through email if any changes occur in the syllabus. Highly recommend! She is also cute.

Very hot, even after her pregnancy. She seems abnormally happy, which she knows since she mentioned in class since she has been told so many times. She's very freindly and fun. Its a joy to go to her class. Every day is lecture day so its important to show. Helps students alot and even has her slides on ACE so we can print out and study. about a 10queastion quiz every 2/3 weeks and its based on notes. Very easy if you study the material. she explains material VERY well. RECOMMENDED !!

She is a great professor, truly one of the greatest ones I've had. Her lectures are interesting and easy to understand. There is no hw, other than to study for quizes and one 2 page (double spaced paper) due at the end of the semester. She gives 2 extra credit assignments and is VERY helpful! Psychology is my favorite class thanks to her!

One of the BEST professor in ELAC. I cannot expect a better one than her. I already took three psych courses with her, and all got an A. She has a super clear lecture on PPT which includes all the stuff on her exams. Exams are not comprehensive so you dont need to go through all the way down. Very fair grading and helpful. with good mood everyday!

Overall an excellent teacher, and an extremely valuable class. Even if you're not going for nursing, this class will teach you infinitely valuable life lessons, and you'll have the perk of being able to understand why people act the way they do, how to improve your own life, and improve relationships with others. If you take good notes in class (write down everything from slides), and remember it, you will get an A, easily. I did not buy the book, cause I took very good class notes, and got an A

She is the best professor at ELAC. She is pretty and sweet. Her lectures are entertaining. You should never miss her class if you want the A! We need more professors like her. She is organized and is willing to help you no matter what. She sings and dances in class to wake us all up. She is super cute.

She always walks in with a smile and treats her students with warmth and respect. Her lectures are always interesting and her test are fair and square. Oh and she doesn't give HOMEWORK!

dr. f is one of the best professors you can ever take. she is absolutely intelligent and is right in point with what she is teaching. she makes everything crystal clear and makes the tests/exams fair. she is wonderful and such a beautiful person!

Didn't really used the book except for the reflection paper. Such a fun professor and class. TAKE HER, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! :D

Dr.F is surely amazing! She's the best instructor I have ever met! She's knowledgeable and really patient and kind to all students in class. Her test is very fair and should be no problem if listen carefully in class. Several quizzes and three exams. Get a B or C should be no doubt. She really wants students to learn. I took her Psych 1 Honors class in Spring 2013 and I recommend her to everyone! Even after taking the class, she still was very helpful and helped me on numerous occasions. I always look forward to her class. She's so positive that she makes me smile, and I never smile. The whole class enjoys lecture. Its an easy A or B but not because it is super easy, but because you learn a lot. Her teaching methods are very effective, she lectures from power points, but also interacts with the class. So everything is very clear.

She has a very positive attitude, she's very respectful, and really tries hard in making sure you understand what is going on. Her class is easy to pass, not because there's not much to learn, but because everything she teaches you will earn.

Dr. Festekjain is an amazing Professor. I was late to add for the summer session and no one was giving me a chance, but she took a chance on me. Her lectures were detailed and she explains everything crystal clear along with getting students involved in the lecture. Do the work, pay attention, study, and you will get an A.

Okay so I was reading the comments and the person below me stated that "she's an easy teacher " okay and yet put if you skip class you won't pass. First of all for festekjian class attendance is required, plus why wouldn't you show up to class she's awesome and she does not criticize you she actually values her students opinions.

Dr. F is amazing. This is my first year in college and I am greatful that she was my professor. No more than 3 absents are allowed, but you won't pass if you miss anyway. I will be taking her again for spring 2016 because she teaches well and she is very positive and cares for us as students.

Great professor. She's very engaging with the students and always has a smile on her face. She will not fail you in helping you pass the class. Look forward to taking more classes with her.

Easy A if you attend and pay attention. Dr. Festekjian is an amazing teacher and you can tell she really loves what she does. She's super funny and teaches what you really need to know and taking Life Span with her allowed me to learn things that I use in my everyday life. One of the best psychology teachers in ELAC. Good effort is all you need!

Great all around and makes learning so enjoyable with her silly tid bits and always gets the point across, but even if you do get stuck on something she will be there to clearify as best as she can!

I took her honors psych 1 class like 2 years ago but she is always remembered as one of the best professors at ELAC. She truly respects her students and the only thing you need to do is just to respect her & her class back. It's very hard for the students to fail the class when a good professor like Festekjian is teaching the class.

She's extremely helpful and takes her time going over anything you need. She does a good job making lectures clear and interesting but I don't think she ever got the hang of the shorter class meetings. There was never time to finish in class assignments and we didn't have time to cover the hardest chapter in the course. ASK FOR HELP WITH THE PAPER

She is really helpful and friendly. She's also really picky when it comes to written assignment definitely have to know haw to do APA format and she's really picky in grammar ask for feedback. Make sure not to miss class because she as class assignments and quizzes

I love Dr. Festekjian! So sad she went on maternity leave this year, I really wanted to take her again for psych 41. She is the best psych teacher at Elac. Quizzes are easy and she adds some extra credit on exams. Very personable and overall a great person. Attend class and do great on group project (topic of you choice) and you will get an A :D

Pay attention in class and you'll like never have to study. I never studied. I would recommend her a million times over.

One of my top psychology professors at elac. She is very helpful, engages in discussions with the class, and cares about her students. Lectures are fun and interesting. Gives copies of the powerpoint but you will still need to read. Tests are mainly from the class lectures and book. Amazing professor. Highly recommend.

Dr. Festekjian is an amazing teacher. Shes extremely caring of all her students, she learns everyone's names and takes notice if you work hard or struggling. For lectures she has lecture outlines for you to print out which makes taking notes extremely easy. Doesn't assign homework and has extra credit available, there's also 1 group presentation.

Mrs. Festekjian is a pleasure to meet, she is caring, she will get to know you as a person on a personal level, and her class is EASY. One of the few teachers that really cares for her students even if you are caught cheating or failing her class.

Very good professor , knowledge and caring also attractive. Easily to get an A , bc you need to focus mostly on her handout also read book according to hand out , that's a lot of less work compare to whole textbook .

By far the best teacher I've had taken here in ELAC, I did take her for summer session which was a bummer because class would be so interesting and go by fast. She genuinely cares for her students, her class is straight forward, she does tell you what to expect on a quiz and exams. There are no surprises.. definitely recommend her.

Best professor I've ever had. She really knows how to captivate the class and knows her stuff! Extremely clear on what she expects from you. print out her power point outlines that she provides, attend class, participate and you should have no problem in this class. Easy A if you actually try.

Professor Festekjian is a very sweet professor. She really cares about all her students & takes the time to get to know us. Her lectures are very engaging and theirs never a dull moment. Their is classwork, alot of group work, 1 group project, and 3 tests. She gives study guides to prepare (mainly stuff on the PowerPoints). Loved her class.

She truly wishes for all of her students to succeed. Very open-minded and kind. Her class was ridiculously easy, but I actually cared about the material that I was learning-- and I learned a lot too! There was ONE group project, but if you're stuck with the work by yourself, make sure you tell her. She'll listen. I would definitely take her again!

The 5 week course flew by. The professor has a clear agenda. The class was interesting. The professor knows her stuff. I recommend you take her. She goes over the material and gives a clear outline that will help pass the exams. You must do your part and study. Good luck

I wouldn't say easy A, but tests & assignments are fair, lectures are great and there is extra credit so getting an excellent grade is possible. You definitely need the book. This professor actually cares about your grade she gives lots of extra credit opportunities and gives no homework . There are a couple of quizes and chapter test but if you attend class and cover the material its a piece of cake.

Dr. Festekjian sets the bar when it comes to teaching others. She is absolutely amazing, thorough, fair and so passionate with the way she lectures. I took her Psych 101 class and from there was hooked! I then took Social Psych, and finally Women Psych. She's a gem! Beautiful inside and out, she truly cares about her students.

1 group presentation+EC. Tests+quizzes aren't cumulative. Be on time + take notes. You don't need the book. Easy pass if you're good at memorization. Absolutely no homework. She wastes time going on tangents sometimes but not that bad. She's very inspiring and pushes you to actually learn. Would highly recommend.

I took Social Psych with Dr. F , and it was such an incredible experience. I learned so much in her class, and really appreciate her dedication to educating. Dr. F goes beyond traditional lectures, and makes learning fun, interactive, and interesting. She has high expectations of her students, and provides opportunities to succeed in her class.

I took her for Psychology 101 a few years back. She opened my eyes to a lot of solutions to world problems I hadn't even thought about. Her class is super engaging and amazing. I ended up taking many more classes with her. Learned so much. I wish I could take her classes again.

Canvas navigation, work assignments, and communications are well put together and easy to follow. Modules and assignments was well organized and due dates were fairly clear. I do not have any complaints.

Such an amazing professor, I loved her and her class. Her class was based on reading modules and 3 exams. The modules were short and the exams were about everything covered on the modules.

Dr. F ( Arpi Festekjian.) Is an excellent Professor - not zoom meeting - no class in person, do your homework, read her material and you will be fine. Everything you need to be able to pass, her class is on canvas. Not a group project, which is good. She won't give the correct answer to the quiz. Please take her class, you will thank me later.

She sets the bar high in the psychology department, probably the best professor I've had although I took her online class from ELAC and not LACC.

I took the asynchronous winter course and it was doable. She gives interesting material and everything you need to pass the class. The class requires a textbook but you could pass without!

Professor F was very easy all you have to do is discussions and surveys and your once in a while test.

She is amazing, the class was organized, easy A,2 exams and 1 final, 2 extra credits, discussions every week, not hard. Interesting class and Professor F is wonderful. Take her, you won't regret it.

Really great class and very eye-opening. I missed a few assignments in the beginning but Professor allowed me to turn in two assignments of my choosing. Very easy and stress free class

Dr. Festekjian is amazing! If you can attend her office hours, do it!! I took this course online so it was self-taught but going over the lecture materials and then asking her to review what you didn't understand during office hours will help you. She's also great to just talk to. I took the 16 week course but 8 weeks is doable!

This professor is a literal sweetheart. She cares about her students and always give's feedback which I love. She is a wonderful teacher I tool her online Fall of 2023. Her assignments are doable as well as her quizzes and exams.

I took her online class and it was great! She gives a free pdf to the textbook and provides her own lecture notes along with other resources. As long as you read her lectures and turn in all of your assignments, you can easily get an A ! Highly recommend this professor :)

I absolutely loved Professor Festekjian. She had claimed at the beginning of the course that the lesson could be life-changing, and honestly, they were. She had assigned a textbook, but I barely even touched it, so you'll be just fine with the lecture notes she has. She is very flexible and allows some late work. She also gives lots of feedback!
