this teacher is really great. he definatly knows his field and teaches very well. he covers every acpect that a com 101 teacher should!

He's a big dude, but he only looks more intimidating than he really is. Very nice man, encourges students to do their best, and is very knowledgeable on a great deal of subjects. Good professor for shy people who are nervous about taking a speech course.

he is a great teacher. his class is never boring and he is not afraid of dissent. he has a good sense of humor and keeps the class lively. he will help you with anything if he can even if it relates to something that has nothing to do with this particular class. if you are lazy and dont want to work to much DONT TAKE HIS CLASS.

Took him two years ago, but recently found out this site so don't know if his teaching the same. I personally love to talk so this class was great. Got an A after missing a large speech. He does cut a lot of slack even tho he says differently. Very interesting professor and great guy overall.

He is pretty cool and class is usually fun, but he likes to talk about politics and is a Democrat. Republicans beware! Other than that you can learn a lot from him if you do the work.

He's a pretty cool dude, when I first got in the class I thought I was going to hate him but it just takes a while to understand him. Demo Speech - Do food! And go first whenever you can... he cuts a lot of slack and really wants all of his students to succeed.

Take home tests + final, all are lenghty, but only hard if you didn't read the text before hand. Opinion based questions, so just apply concepts from book & attend class = easy A. Every day was fun and most students stayed after class to talk with him. You will enjoy this class and learn lots about yourself, others and art of interpersonal com.

Professor Lynch is a great teacher! He is very helpful and will work with you on your speeches if you have any questions. I thought I was going to hate the class because I don't like public speaking but he kept class fun and interesting. He is my favorite professor to date, and my favorite class! Take him if you have the chance.

Great Teacher! Seems hard but in the end mostly A's. Discussion heavy, with mandatory speeches and outlines. Applies class of our future, politics, history, income and other classes. I have used what he taught me to land jobs. Highly recommend Art Lynch.

Excellent teacher makes class enjoyable and application of material rewarding. Difficult Scantron exams and criteria for speech grades gets hard toward end of term, but grading appears liberal. Class became friends by end of term.Expect politics and history as examples, too often!

pro lynch was an easy going teacher though he was trying to be tough on speeches and quizes but he never succeeded. He will throw out some terms once in a while and you will have no idea what he's talking about. but he will mostly give out the answer for the tests. just review the quizes. afterall, he's a fun teacher to take.

Pro. Lynch is an outstanding professor, one of the best at this college. He takes the time to explain complex ideas and is willing to work with you one on one if you need it. The text book used was terrible but this is the last class that will be using it. I highly recommend you take THIS COURSE with THIS PROFESSOR.

A great semester! I have enjoyed the class tremendously and I did not dread attending as each Tuesday. I was in fear of the class, but he made us relax, learn and grow. I have walked away with knowledge. I did really enjoy the history that he incorporated in the class .

I was petrified to do public speaking, but he is so corky and fun that he makes you feel comfortable. He likes things done his way when it comes to speeches but it is very easy.! Take him if your afraid to give speeches.! hes a great teacher!

gives you a chance to build from your mistakes from your speeches. Every speech he requires more the what you should be learning, thus the last speech is the toughest. Yeah, Art is the teacher you want for COM. You will learn, hopefully have fun, and work a bit. If you don't pass this class you can point the finger at yourself....period. He keeps it entertaining and is understanding to students needs....he wants to see improvement.

Great teacher who knows his material. I would advise those who aren't comfortable in public speaking to take him because he makes it easier for you. There is work to be done in class and chapters to read that will be explained in the syllabus. Attend class and get involved. An easy A if you're willing to do the work, still a great professor.

Lots of work, but in the end it pays off. He is a big loud man, but also open, friendly and helpful for students. Fun class. Grades easier than he pretends. Book for midterm, final and speeches..but he give you the answers (among many that are not on the test). Take this class.

Easy teacher if you can follow instructions, read the book & attend class - basically gives you all the answers for the tests. He doesn't grade fair on speeches; grading some students harder than others and objectively deducting or adding points. I got an A- and would recommend him.

Not easy, but easier than he pretends, he provides plenty of on-line support, sources, examples (sometimes boring, sometimes fun, often interesting), hands on experience and support. I felt he believed in me and my ability to do this. I hate speaking in public, but feel more confident now. He is a great teacher. I highly recommend professor Lynch.

WOW! Several weeks after class ended and I am still thinking about it. Had a great job interview using what I learned in the class. Would take Professor Lynch again if he were to teach other courses at CSN.

Class was disruptive, immature, but he handled it well. I really learned from what he had to teach and from the hands on nature of the class in doing speeches. I understand people better and will never forget the communication model.

In the beginning of the semester I was dreading this class. It wasn’t bad at all ant actually was kind of fun.

I found COM 101 very interesting and helpful. When I started this course, I was anxious about speaking in front of my classmates. In a few weeks, after only two speeches I gained a confidence and I really do enjoy public speaking. I am very glad that I took the class, a very good experience, an opportunity to learn the skills of public speaking.

I am ready to graduate with my BA, and kept delaying public speaking. This teacher was the best! He teaches what undergraduates need to know and provides plenty of support and examples. Integrating the real life into the content is also useful in applying the concecepts of the course. Thank you Professor Lynch.

A four week summer session of a course you have been scared to take could have you pulling out your hair. But Mr. Lynch made it fun and easy..but also made us learn. Take this teacher!

Expects college level work. I am one term from a BA, so it was easy for me. Makes students read and work hard but is a lot easier then he pretends and grades easier at the end of the term than you would think.I highly recommend Mr. Lynch as your com teacher.

I am a Texas A&M student. While home in Las Vegas I took Mr. Lynch's COM class. It was the best college class I have ever talent! He believes in his students, works hard to help them and while many students complained of too much work, the load was far less than at my classes at A&M, He should be teaching at a University. I recommend his class.

I have already used what Dr. Lynch taught in class, landing a job just before Christmas that I really wanted. He explains communication in ways that you can put to use. He uses real life examples. Tests are a bit heavy on the book, but he reviews all the questions and concepts in advance.

This professor is amazing. :D He loves to talk about politics and other random things, but it's all very useful information. He's very knowledgeable about a plethora of topics and isn't afraid to start debates in class and test your knowledge after a speech has ended. I took his summer class and the work was very manageable for a fast paced class.

Art Lynch is definitely passionate about communications. If you can see past his senseless chatter you will like this class. He does require a TON of written preparation for every speech, but if you put the work in you'll do well. His grading is inconsistent, but he is fair.
