I like him a lot. His lectures are very organized. He never makes us stay the whole time. The tests are hard, it has nothing to do with him. This subject just has a lot of memorization work. Take him, he's a good guy!

Takes a boring subject and makes it tolerable and at times even intresting! Nice guy, gives great examples. There are 5 tests, drops the lowest. Power point lectures and never the whole class time. He tries to make it funny and suprisingly it works. Tests are difficult and the material can be confusing, terms are very similar.

Arthur is a nice guy and a good teacher! The class is hard, but you just have to attend/take notes, study for exams-and you should be fine! He has a great sense of humor and keeps the class very interesting! My only criticism is that he doesn't give out study guides for exams. That would be helpful. But overall, Arthur's your best choice!

HE IS A REALLY GOOD TEACHER. HE MAKES CLASS FUN BY TELLING A LOT OF JOKES IN RELATION TO THE MATERIAL TO MAKE IT EASIER TO UNDERSTAND. I GOT A'S ON ALL THE TESTS JUST BY COMING TO CLASS AND STUDYING A LITTLE BEFORE EACH EXAM. EVERYTHING HE TESTS ON HE GOES OVER IN CLASS WITH POWERPOINTS SO TAKE GOOD NOTES AND YOU SHOULD DO FINE.

He is a marvelous teacher. Excellent powerpoint + corresponding lecture, very easy to understand and will take time to explain. Drops 1 out of 5 tests, questions straight from notes so attendance extremely mandatory + take good notes. Kennelly really knows his stuff. Has great examples and is pretty hilarious. Best option learning psych, take him!

I love this teacher! He is very clear and to the point. But he also makes the class interesting as well. He doesn't give out study guides but the tests are straight from the notes so that should be enough of a study guide! I got A's on all the tests without reading the book, I just learned the notes inside and out. I fully recommend him!

I took Intro to Psychology with Mr. Kennelly and I found him to be a relatively easy teacher. He didn't give any homework or projects, which was nice. However everyone in the class had truble on the exams. We didn't know what to study for, and the average on the tests was very low.(He does drop the lowest test)Be prepared to pay attention and STUDY

Mr. Kennely is a little nerdy but funny. His lectures are given from well organized power points. No homework only tests and lowest score dropped. Some students complained about not having a study guide but all the info from the tests were in his power points. All in all, enjoyed his class.

At first it seemed like Mr. Kennelly was going to be a hard teacher, but when he saw that most people weren't doing as well, he essentially made it easier. He's also very funny, and doesn't give out homework or require you to read from the book. Everything he lectures about ends up being on the test. Overall, a great teacher. :D

Professor Kennelly is really cool and understanding. He has really great powerpoints and uses plenty of examples. This is not an easy subject, yet he makes it clear for his students. He drops your lowest test score and there was extra credit. I would definitely recommend him because you need a good teacher in order to pass this major prep class.

Everything you need to know is in his powerpoints. It's all set right there for you. If you pay attention in class and learn the material in the notes you'll have no problem on the tests. He gives you plenty of time to ask questions and will give all the examples you need. All in all, I thought he taught a great cles.

A lot of people had issues on the tests, I'm telling you, everything you need to know to ace every test is in your notes, so study those and leave the book behind. Tests are cake if you just learn the lectures.

I hoped to have him the whole semester, hope his surgery went well. Before he left I enjoyed his teaching style. Replacement not the same or as enjoyable to listen to. His TA is super nice, helpful and handsome. Study notes before exams and read the chapters. 6 short exams multiple choice (25 ques) and final is cumulative.

I love this class!You really don't need the book, so don't bother- attendance is crucial because it's all there in the powerpoint. I think some people struggle on the exam because there are only 25-30 questions, so each question is weighed so heavily. Overall, great class!

Great professor! Very personable, helpful, clear, and understanding. He is very willing to help at any moment. The tests can be a little tricky and that would be my only complaint. However, Prof Kennelly was great! He uses some funny examples when teaching new terms which is good bc you don't forget them during the tests. Definitely recommend!

By far one of the best teachers I've had. I took his class and claimed as a Psych major that semester. You really shouldn't miss a lecture and you should deffinitely read the book and take notes. He's a great teacher and so as long as you pay attention you'll be fine! Passed with an A.

Professor Kennelly is a nice person and is intelligent. Tests can be tough, but plenty of help is offered if you're struggling. My biggest complaint is they would just post the grade on blackboard and we never got our tests back so we never knew what we were getting wrong. The final was challenging, no study guide, but help was offered if wanted.

this class is a walk in the park if you have some knowledge on psych. if you attend (almost) every class & take decent notes, you'll do fine. heck, I didn't even buy the book, & I still managed to get an A. lectures can get boring fast, but he always ended class early when the boredom was too much to bear.

He's a pretty laidback kind of guy. No homework, textbook not necessary. You probably don't even need to show up to lecture as long as you know the material. The tests are pretty easy just make sure to go to the TA's review sessions and ask the TA any questions you have cause he goes over the whole test

The textbook use is if you don't go to the classes/pay attention. His lectures are MUCH more understandable and offers feedback/questions.

Kennelly is very chill, ends class early sometimes & gives no HW. Final grade all test grades added up. If you're good at studying & willing to read the chapter tests should be easy. He is absolutely hilarious. His test are lecture based I haven't even touched the book (still in the trunk of my car) and I am doing just fine. Helps you understand if you are lost and makes you laugh all class.

He is a great professor! He has lectures that make sense, and he makes them funny, and NO HOMEWORK!. His TA Robby has big and mini group sessions but you have to go to every session every week to still be apart of it, I went every week, and was the only one who did so I got free tutoring and got a high A in the class!

Kennelly is awesome! I took him for 120 as well and he's amazing. Most of the test is based off the lecture, however the book REALLY helps to clarify! This class was more difficult than 120 but Kennelly keeps things fun. He also has the BEST TA EVER, Robby is awesome he does study sessions that literally saved me for the test. They are both great.

His class is lecture heavy, but you can still get good grades on the tests if you go over the lecture material or reach out to his TA Robby for help. There are also plenty of extra credit opportunities! I had him for Intro as well, and his lectures tend to be funny.

He's a great professor you definitely won't be bored in class. Your grade is based on five tests and a final, no homework. I liked the class and Professor Kennelly was a great teacher but I don't like how he let the TA, Robby, basically run the whole class. He's a teaching ASSISTANT. I never understood why Robby was the one dictating everything, teaching, assigning grades etc... However, if you take this class just study a loooot and you should do just fine!

Honestly, he is the best teacher I've had at Grossmont. His lectures are super interesting, and he gives them a lot of emotion so it's hard not to be interested! The people that did not give him a 5/5 rating are probably just offended they didn't get an A and it's probably cause they didn't pay attention in class at all or ditched. P.S Robby helps!

Kenelly's a great teacher. He knows not every one of his students is a psych major, so he doesn't over-complexify things like many prof's. Just show up and take halfway decent notes you'll get A's on every exam. He makes a lot of jokes and doesn't shy away from the awkward topics, which makes it a very fun learning environment. This professor has extremely well organized lectures. He makes somewhat dry course material entertaining and easy to understand by using examples that are relevant to college students. I feel like this is the best choice of a psych 220 course at Grossmont to prepare you for future upper-level psych classes.

Overall I can say I learned a lot in this class! There is NO homework whatsoever. The 5 tests+final make up your grade and the lowest test score is dropped. There is extra credit on every test and his TA Robby offers a lot on the side as well. Robby also provides review sessions b4/after all test. IF you TAKE GOOD NOTES this class is an easy A!

Professor Kennelly and his TA do a great job with teaching because they always put in extra effort to help students who may not fully understand concepts. The study groups provided by the TA were very helpful for a further understanding of subjects discussed in class, because the TA would explain subjects in a more simple way to understand.

Took Kennelly @ UCSD. He is so funny helped me get through long lectures with such a boring topic. Offers Bouns points (random ass questions, so study the course material). Test heavy, 2midterm+ finals. He is nice and always willing to help students, good clear lecturer.

Kennelly is the best Intro prof here. His lectures are informative and he makes them interesting. All of the tests have built in extra credit, plus he asks bonus questions. He is always willing to stay later to help students as well. He has a TA that has review sessions before tests and offers the opportunity for study groups.

Highly recommend this professor! Lectures are very clear, but you need to show up, listen and take notes. Grade is based on tests so you need to study (like in every class). Prof. K is amazing. His class is simple enough but you have to make sure to show up and take notes. I have taken Kennelly for both Psych 120 as well as 220 and highly recommend him for either. Both 120 and 220 are entirely lecture based so it is important that you do not miss those. Always been a laid back professor. Tests are fair, but studying will help you a lot. Professor has a monotone voice. Before quartine, it was helpful to ask questions and interact with the class. On zoom, I recommend asking questions for the information needed, even if it is a second time asking, I would ask again. The TA can help you a lot as well

This class was honestly my favorite the whole semester. The professor and TA made it as much as possible to keep it the same vibe from before covid to now. This class is TEST heavy and mainly lecture based, so attendance is mandatory. However what I really liked is that they offered tons of extra credit and tutoring if needed. Work and you pass!

I enjoyed Professor Kennelly's class. He is a really cool guy and adds some humor to the class. However the class is lecture and notes heavy and the tests will require a lot of studying. However, it can be helpful to review some concepts in the book and attend review sessions. Professor Kennelly is an amazing instructor! I got super anxious at first because this is one of the first three classes that I enrolled in for my freshman year. His lectures are on point, he's open to all questions and won't call you out unless you unmute yourself. TA Robby is just as wonderful, he gives out extra credits to help you succeed.

His class is pretty lecture heavy, alongside reading assignments, but as long as you study for the class and do your readings you are basically set. Very straightforward. Most organized professor Ive had. Canvas modules were very easy to navigate. Polite, & explains the material extremely well. Actually teaches what is on the exams! Lecture based, and power point heavy. Only grades by exams, so be ready to take exams! Not hard if you study the material. Offers easy extra credit & study sessions

Took PSY-120 at Grossmont from this professor when I was in high school, and he is still to this day my favorite professor. He made the class SO FREAKING FUN. I had to miss one of the classes due to my sister giving birth. Next class he handed me a book called "experiments on babies" and offered extra credit if I try one out and report my findings!

Professor K makes the lectures engaging and offers plenty of extra credit. While the exams can be challenging, using Unstuck ai along with the textbook will help you succeed. Attendance is a must, but the class is manageable with effort.
