okey so this is suppose to be an elementary level Astro class will its not!! he doesn't help you if you ask certain questions like what the main point, & is this important to know, he'll tell that a test is on a certain chapter and then it'll really be on another chapter before that one believe me or not but don't take this class save you money

Not a bad professor; incredibly helpful and very passionate about the subject. You WILL need to be prepared to put in the effort. Read everything, take (GOOD!) notes, show up to class, and really really study. Not an easy subject, but not impossible to pass. Record lectures as well if you can, it'll help in your reviews.

Not an easy A... Professor Litka is an eccentric, passionate, gentleman who has a venomous tongue when provoked. You can not miss one day of class or be late for you will loose points. Do all the extra credit he offers. His test are super super challenging. You should ask questions and show interest in class. He is an admirable man. You will learn.

Prof Litka is a difficult instructor. But let's be realistic here?you're in this class because you're an engineering/science major. If you can't get past this course, or at least work hard then you won't succeed in any future courses. Knowing physics is a cornerstone of a good engineering/science education. Don't blame the teacher.

He's a very smart and passionate guy, and makes amusing puns. Definitely take notes and READ THE BOOK! I'm typically not a book learner but it really helps. It's not an easy class; it's quite conceptual. But as long as you study and understand the concepts, you should be good. I made a B, and he says no one gets As.

I had him back in 2010 & I loved him! He was so animated and passionate. With extra credit I had an A, but that is the only grade not upped by the EC, so I got the B I earned.I love challenging classes,b/c I actually learn and stimulate my mind.If you are looking for an easy A and have no desire to learn soe amazing things, then dont waste his time!

I took professor Litka for both 2048 and 2049 physics with calc. Both times he was very helpful. I worked hard in both his classes and came out with B's, respectively. He prepares you to become an engineer, as his class is not just a "put in minimal effort" class. I suggest taking him if you want a quality engineering physics education.

Awful class presentation and negative reviews from other students who has taken his class. His style of grading is purely subjective. I've tried just as hard as my lab partner and he passed with a C but not me. I earned a B. Litka thinks he's a genius and everyone else in his class isn't so be aware of his character. Take someone else, trust me.

Mr. Litka is a great teacher. He is fair and will answer any question you have. He understands that the subject can be challenging and wants to help you understand it. This is not an easy A but you will learn so much.

Bad teacher. If he doesn't like you, it will be reflected on your grade. We had a disagreement unrelated to academic or attendance standards, then he changed my assignment from a B to a C. His bad teaching skills have been justified with the presumption that the material itself is difficult. However, I found the material itself to be rather easy.

One of my favorite professors!! Yes, he's very passionate about astronomy and teaching. The class is very challenging and that's what I loved. YOU MUST STUDY... ALOT! His grading was very fair and he told us what was expected from us Day 1. I will miss his lectures (and dry humor)and the thrill of taking the exams... Again, STUDY, STUDY, STUDY

Litka never seemed very passionate to me. He seemed more emotional and angry and that he hated his job. I do not recommend this teacher. None of the other teachers are easy A's, but at least they are willing to help. And at least they treat you like a human being.

I had professor Litka for Astronomy last semester. He is a wonderful Teacher. That said you have to work for your grade. He has a forgiving grading scale because he is tough. If you persevere you will learn more from him than others, and be a better student. I will really miss that class.

This Professor treats his classroom as if Intro into Ast. was a Honors Astronomy Class, not intro into Astronomy. He say he is so nice cause he gives you extra credit, but that extra credit is worthless if you make a B, so all that Extra Work in the end will do nothing for you if you actually try hard to get an A. Badly structured Prof & class.

He is a hard teacher if you do not take notes and study the text book. He is very skilled in his field. Tests are difficult to figure out studying wise. Does give extra credit.

THIS CLASS WAS VERY HARD!! I love Astronomy and the teacher does too. He takes it very seriously. If you are not good with MATH/Basic Physics, this class is definitely not for you. Attend class, Take notes, do not fall sleep, give him your attention and respect, and trust me, he will pass you. I flunked every test and I passed. Nice guy!

This teacher was horrible I rewrote that whole book by myself to make sure that I was prepared for his class and yet I failed it. He is completely unfair and rude. Says that he teaches from the book but he doesn't I ended up having to record him and rewrite the bookmyself and ended up with a D. DO NOT TAKE HIM

This class was hard BUT Prof. Litka was a great teacher. He has a passion for what he teaches. He offers extra credit and is always available if you need help. This is not a class to take if you have no interest in learning. He does expect you to care about your grade and treats you like the adult you now are, high school is over.

For some reason, this professor singled me out almost every single class even though I sat there quietly and listened to him speak. I ended up dropping it because I couldn't stand his attitude towards me. And I am so glad that I did!! I took Bigelow instead and I ended up not only learning a lot, but really enjoying the material!!

This guy does not treat his students like adults. I've seen him throw a temper tantrum when students leave the classroom quietly to use the restroom.
