Great Professor. Easy going and very lenient about deadlines.

Great instructor. Great communication. Very helpful. I have no problems with this professor. All the homework is very easy, a little effort goes a long way. As long as you do most the work, you will get an A. He really goes out of his way to make sure you understand the materials. Daily open discussions. Fun class.

He also understands that you have a personal life and if you've fallen behind due to family issues or work he will work with you. Best teacher by far. This class allows you to get an A regardless of effort put into it. Fortunately, I also had the opportunity to learn as much as I wished from the course. This professor is actually very well informed on his subject. I was in a small class, and so if I needed help or if I had a question, he was able to help. Overall, he is my ideal professor.

Arthur can be really offbeat, but after reading the material and listening to Arthur's lecture, I alwas do well on my exams. He is awesome at explaining course material and is labs are great for hands on learning of the reading material.

Super easy class, you just have to attend. He will answer questions you have but will begin with trying to lead you to the answer.

This the 2nd time Ive taken this class. With the professors help it made so much more sense this time around. If your gonna take CSCO 120 take it with him. Theres no textbook, just attend class. If you miss class youll most likely be lost when you come back. Its a hard class, but if you put in the work, attend class, and ask questions youll do fine

If you take this instructor expect to attend class daily if not you may miss out on some of the labs. He offers to remake them at the end of the semester, this instructor is very laid back and enjoys talking with the students. Easy class but informative at the same time.

Mr Salmon is very knowledgeable about the subject, which is very helpful. The real strength in his teaching is his ability to reach each individual student on their level. My understanding of the subject was less than most of the other students in the class, however Mr. Salmon happily took the time to catch me up to the rest of the class.

Fall Semester 2014 Makes objectives and lectures clear and to the point. Does not throw you an obnoxious amount of work. Class will be easy as long as you take the time to put some effort. Didn't need the textbook to pass the class which I was grateful for as it helped me save money. Overall I enjoyed his class!

Arthur is a pretty laid back professor, as long as you do your work online and turn in work by the midterm and final you will do fine.

He is quite funny. Gives great analogies. Uses real life scenarios for adult themes and things that could possibly come up when working on someone's computer. I am looking forward to taking more computer classes that he teaches.

Professor is very understanding of unforeseen events in life that leads to students to missed class. Gives out additional information about the topics being taught and provides above and beyond real problem scenarios and solution in the IT field that other professors don't.

The class is VERY homework intensive... Not really hard stuff... Just a LOT of it. Mr. Salmon is a great teacher... Lectures are fun and interactive and he always has fun examples of the material from real life experience.

Tells it like it is. Very knowledgeable and still active in the craft. Pay attention and learn. If your learning style is hands on, this is the class.

Awesome and funny teacher.

He is very liberal in his classrooms. He gives you 2 weeks or more to do missing work after the due date, he talked about all topics in the class during each chapter so alot of material is covered even if it isn't from that chapter. Classwork is easy and clear.

I took the class to prepare myself for the A+ exam, the Professor was very helpful on the subject and was able to help me out on anything that was needed for the class, sometimes, the class would go off topic but all the material was covered. The class felt natural with the conversation with both classmates and the professor.

Outstanding teacher. Every homework assignment besides the midterms had no due date so I could do my homework when I had the time. A lot of the homework can be done at home minus the labs. He is very reasonable and is also really funny and will treat you like an adult. 10/10 would take again.

Knowledgable

Salmon has a very interesting teaching style as well as an "open and honest" policy about him. If you like having some interesting facts woven into your education, then you'll like this teacher.

I took this class for CIT 111 in the fall semester. He is a very open teacher and in one way or another encourages his students to speak and participate. The lectures he gives are engaging and are very interesting. Though sometimes he may stray off the original conversation.

I took this class in the beginning to get it to graduate, but now i'm enjoying it an my professor, paying attention to everything.

Rather than lecture for hours on not-so-exciting subject matter, he turns it into an interesting conversation. The lessons are smooth and he readily answers any questions you may have on the material. Like any normal conversation it does sometimes derail and get off topic, but that's what keeps it interesting.

The dude is funny. His lectures at first seem to go all over the place, but somehow he brings it all back to the topic. The crazy part is you are able to retain all the important things.

Arthur is one of the best teachers at CSN for CIT Classes. I have taken his A+ Hardware, and A+ Software classes and loved his teaching style. beyond a shadow of a doubt, Arthur Salmon is an exceptional professor. he teaches practical knowledge and prepares you for the Network+ certification. he's easy to follow, and is always available should you need assistance. he doesn't assign that much work, and the work he does assign always relates to the material covered in class.

The best professor in the CIT department of CSN. Prof. Salmon's lectures are a must, even if its not mandatory. He also has great content on his online channel which I still am using after graduating . I used his N+ slides as a secondary reference & it helped me pass my N+ exam. I got him for my Software+, and CSCO classes; best decision I've made.

He is a really nice professor. Gives good lectures but can get side tracked very easily. You get out what you put in.

Professor Salmon is very knowledgeable in his field. I've taken him for Network+ and Security+ and these classes can be difficult but in the end it really matters how much work and dedication you are willing to put in. He will make it easier for you as much as possible. You will need to review and actually do the labs, watch his videos.

Arthur is an easy going but serious professor. Get ready to learn real life application because he draws a lot from his own experiences and stays current with events and how apply to the cyber security industry. Flexible with homework, but missed assignments have to be made with a lab or challenge. Take lectures seriously, be a mature adult.

Arthur is a real gem. Eccentric and very knowledgeable on pretty wide range of tech related topics. You get a real life feel for the industry because he brings a lot of experience from his own endeavors. Pay close attention and ask questions. If you show dedication, Arthur will bend over backwards for you. You must put effort, no free rides!!

He's an amazing professor to have. If you need any help at all he's always an e-mail or text message away. Granted, he has a couple of flaws: 1)He can get sidetracked during his lectures. 2) He doesn't stick to a set schedule. So, if you're the kind of student that doesn't do well studying at your own pace then you will feel cheated. Great teacher

Hes a great professor but he lacks communication sometimes, he seems very busy. Every week there was 2 assignments, 2 discussions, one quiz, one extra credit and 2 homework assignments. That will be the average workload for the week, guaranteed

Mr. Salmon is great! I had to message him a few times about updating my grades on my labs from uCertify (which we used instead of textbooks) but he replied within at least a day or so of me sending them and said he'd figure it out. I've gotten A's on everything, and he has written positive comments on many of my discussion posts and projects.

He is an amazing professor!!, not only he tries his best for all the students including The ones with most difficulties. He is an easy going person as well knowledgeable, I would recommend to take his classes as he is really caring about students and really fast replying. I would 1000% love to be in his class again

Professor Salmon is a great professor. He allows extensions if needed and is always there for you. Be sure to ask for help, and he will give you the resources or help you need. He is pretty easy going when you have a question.

Through my time at CSN Arthur was my professor for 2 classes. He has his classes setup well he teaches the same class at several colleges/universities. He is quite busy and can be hard to reach. He always answers back but he is a troll. I'm not sure if this is intentional or his personality. His responses can be cryptic and need deciphering.
