I loved the class mainly due to the professor. I learned the material well and enjoyed the way he explained the sections to us. I had to study but was not rushed through the material. He is strict!
He is a pretty good instructor. He prepares you for advances Eng. curses. He cares about your performance during the semester, if you are doing bad, he pushes you to increase your grade. He makes challenge quizzes every two week. DOnot worry about midterms. Exam ir quizes Problems are from the book. If you do the HW, you'll be more than prepared.
Davidian is a great professor and advisor. He is strict but very helpful. He makes sure you understand the material before going to the next engineering course. Be ready to answer his questions. To do well, do your homework regularly. Do NOT cheat or lie! It will not end in your favor! His office is always open for students.
Mr. Davidian cares! He is strict and cares very very much for us. Great advisor, funny in class. Truly he prepares you for the higher engineering courses. He makes time to see the students! Don't take my word stop by and see it for yourself.
Davidian is the best thing that has ever happened to ELAC. He goes out of his way to advise and help students. He is strict and yes, he is caring. If you are goofing off in the hallway, he will ask you to be on your way to class or to the learning center. I love his sayings and his real-life examples!
Mr. Davidian is awesome and very strict. Everything we talk about in class has a real-life application. Mr. Ddavidian asks a lot of design related questions and will wait until a response is given. Eventhough the course is tough, I still enjoy the class and the way Mr. davidian prepares us. I feel I am being prepared for my future.
Excellent and very helpful professor. He makes sure we undestand before going forward!
Mr. Davidian is an excellent and very helpful professor. He has made me feel very confident about statics and my abilities as an engineering student.
1.Great advisor 2.Excellent motivator 3.Fantastic professor 4.Treats everyone with respect 5.Challenges your abilities and will give support when needed. One problem, he does not teach math courses! I wish he did! Because he helped me understand the unit circle and its application.
Excellent professor. Great person. Fantastic mentor, advisor and motivator!
The best instructor anywhere! He loves to teach and loves to help us (the students) even more. He is tough and I feel he prepared me well to proceed to the next coursework. Bring it on!
Mr. Davidian is very caring. He breaks down the advising down to simple terms and he is very honest. You can tell that he loves teaching and is very proud of being part of ELAC. I recommend him for advising and mentoring.
Excellent professor. He explains clearly and keeps you on your toes. All the time! Very happy for being in his class.
Mr. Davidian is very helpful and goes out of his way to help students. I have not yet found another instructor who cares so much for the students. Make sure you attend class and participate. He calls on everyone you can't hide. He explains the material very well and is patient. ALso there is a group final project
Great class. Loved the challenging projects. He placed himself as a volunteer for the students to hoist him to the second floor of the building, which made us learn about simple machines and pulleys. Above all, his action showed us how engineer's decisions are crucial for peoples' safety! Hands-on Reality! Definitely a great motivator!
Motivator, helpful, challenging, great advisor, role model, respectful of others and especially students, humorous, creates opportunities for student success and possible job placement. Did I mention a great advisor and motivator?
Very good lecturer. Motivator. Class participation is necessary. Gives good and quick feedback. Calls on you in class to demonstrate, explain, and make sure to back up your comments and discussion information. You cannot hide in his classes. I should know as I have taken two other courses with him.
Great professor, individual, and advisor. See him during his office hours and you will receive assistance. He makes you learn by doing and not by listening and copying. He is strict, but not tough. He makes the class fun, but you have to be ready to work. He treats you like a professional and expects nothing less. I love that in a professor.
Professor Davidian is a kind, strict, and respectful instructor. He does an excellent job motivating us and trains us well to become well prepared for the engineering discipline and to gain great confidence. He increased my self worth and confidence by placing challenging assignments and projects on my pathway to success! Bring on the next course!
Great professor!
The best professor at ELAC. He cares. He loves teaching and helping students. He is strict. He prepared me for the job market. Perfect adviser. He does not waste your time like others who just love to talk for ever and give unrealistic advice. I will take him for other courses. I hope he teaches shop math. His GE 101 class is the best in town!!!!!
A wonderful person, strict, entertaining, and makes sure you understand. Patient lecturer and answers everyone's questions. A great advisor(Listens and does his best to give you advice that will be beneficial to your success). He is our "National Treasure" at ELAC. This was my 4th class with him. All courses require the same type of attention.
Mr. Davidian teaches very well and is there to advise us. He tries to make us understand the material any way possible. I will take any class that he may be teaching next.
Excellent engineering professor. He is there for you. Very good lecturer and inspirational speaker. Will train you well. Will put you on the spot with his technical questions. You must be an active learner to survive his courses. Will definitely take him as an instructor again!
Excellent professor keeps you on your toes constantly during lectures by challenging students with questions, you will not be bored in his class. His style is unique in that he engages you while making it fun and entertaining at the same time. He is an extremely devoted and dedicated professor and he will go out of his way to help students.
Mr. Artin Davidian is just the best instructor at ELAC! He should be known as the "Students' Professor", because he has always given us the very best service a tuition can pay for. My friends and I were lucky to hear him one day, as we were passing by, during a meeting challenging university representatives for their programs for transfer students.
I am enrolled in professor Davidian's class at the Cathedral H.S. and he is an exceptional instructor and a great person. He is a motivational lecturer and a caring individual. My classmates and I truly enjoy his lectures and he has motivated us through his stories and enthusiasm to accomplish our goals. Thank you for caring for our future.
I learned well. Professor Davidian made sure we learned the material and he expected greatness from each of us. You will be asked to explain the material and therefore gain a lot of confidence in the subject. I am also enrolled in his EGD TEK 101 and IND TEK 103 for the next semester. BTW, great advisor and mentor.
I have taken many courses with Davidian and every time he has stayed the same person. He is strict, but he is there to assist, guide, and motivate you through the tough times! I was reading the past student reviews for him and I do have to agree that he should be known as the "Students' Professor"! I will miss Davidian once I transfer next fall.
The best professor at ELAC! The best advisor and mentor. Very honest and direct!
Mr. Davidian is one of the best professors at ELAC and knows his engineering very well! He challenged us beyond our expectations and I feel as I came out prepared for any design challenge. I also learned to work with my classmates on a team in an efficient way that I did not know I could have before. Thank you Mr. Davidian for your advising also.
Professor Davidian is great. He gives good feedback and trains us for the real-world experience. His assignments put us on the front line and he expects the best from the end product. If you don't deliver, you will have to answer to the entire class why you failed. Thank to him I am more professional & confident in my work & actions. Thank you Sir!
"Uncle Davidian" is the MAN! He advises well and understands our struggles. When you visit him, he spends enough time with you as needed. He is extremely busy, but somehow makes time for you. He teaches well and connects the course material to true life experiences. Now, I live my life according to his quotes. Take his classes to see what they are.
Attend class. Don't be late. Visit Mr. Davidian in his office for advice and help. He is there for you and your success. He is very professional and caring. He gives great advice for school and future work. He trained me to be more professional in school and take responsibility of my failures. When I succeed he celebrates it with a great attitude.
The best instructor anywhere.
The most effective professor at ELAC. He makes the class as real as possible. I feel I am ready for the professional world. He is strict and requires perfection. Don't try to come to class with excuses!
An excellent instructor. He is strict yet fair. You will work for your grade and learn in the process. Employers know about Davidian. During my interview, I was asked about hands-on experience and I mentioned about Mr. Davidian's projects and they smiled and said "we know about him". He is an amazing motivator and advisor. Beware, he gets busy fast
Excellent professor. Makes the class very real compared to actual industry experience. You are responsible for every single task (You don't do the work, expect to be called on in class to explain your laziness!) We loved the experience and are ready for the job market! I will take any class with professor Davidian! BTW, he is an excellent advisor.
He actually explains the material very well and goes at an excellent pace and will ask questions from every one in the class to make sure we get the material. This is a rare trait in instructors nowadays! The rumors are true, he is an excellent advisor and mentor. Don't come to class unprepared, you will have to answer to him. He cares for us a lot
Very inspirational and passionate teacher. There is meaning in his stories and lectures. Probability one of the most important engineering class you will take, because it is the bases for all the others. Thank you "Uncle Davidian"
I was inspired to learn and looked forward to attend class. Mr. Davidian's positive attitude makes the difference. He makes sure you learn and if you miss an assignment or do a sloppy work on a task, he will ask you to explain to the entire class about your action. This prevents laziness by students. I hope he stays at ELAC for ever!!
Great professor. Loves teaching and is a great advisor. Lectures are upbeat and clear. Clearly one of the best and caring instructors at ELAC.
Excellent professor. Will take other classes with professor Davidian. He is knowledgeable and knows how to transfer the knowledge effectively through lectures and hands-on projects. Very strict scheduing, but he is always tracking our progress and gives great input for our success! Once you take a class with him you don't want any other instructor
Professor Artin Davidian is a motivational lecturer. He gives great advice and he explains concepts so we understand. I am a better student for his efforts. Be on time with your assignments and projects. So far, I have not experienced anyone so excited about teaching. He will go out of his way to help us. Thank you professor.
After taking a course with professor Davidian you will be confident for life. It's not just about the assignments but the feedback and your professional attitude. I am ready for my next courses regardless of difficulty.
Be ready for work. He lectures very well and is very clear. Gives great feedback and is quick about it. Make sure to purchase the right material for class. Quality does matter. This instructor is truly one of the best in town (within the 40-mile radius). I know, I came from another college to ELAC for a better education. Great advisor and mentor.
I learned about engineering in this course. Davidian was clear and challenged us with numerous tasks which lead to the final project, presentation and demonstration of lifting him up towards the second floor of the E7 building. Later we took turn in lifting each-other & bystanders. The final was real. He was responsible for my confidence growth.
Listen and don't be late in your work. Great lectures and even greater advice. Grading is very clear and fair. Don't do your work and you will fail. Strict professor and a great adviser. He does not accept excuses from anyone and that's why he is the best instructor of the college. He will put you on the spot if not ready for his class. Best Class!
I have not seen, ever, anyone teach math this way! It is awesome beyond belief! Mr. Davidian explains every part of the problem and shows many ways to do the problem. He makes us understand it thoroughly. He asks us individually to respond to his questions and we are asked to explain the problems in front of the class (whiteboard). No exceptions!
AWESOME class! "Uncle Davidian" should be considered as the the best "Wonders of the ELAC Nation"! He is caring, great advisor and mentor, gives great service to his customers (us the student), great lecturer, great motivator, trustworthy, goes out of his way to train you for the future, will find a way to assist you, very honest and direct.
I enjoyed the way professor Davidian handled the coursework. I learned a lot from his lectures, experience, and the hands-on projects. This was one of those courses that I was really challenged and gained a lot of confidence. I recommend Davidian for any course. You see his name advertised on a class, sign up! BTW, he is also a great advisor.
I met Mr. Davidian for the first time at MESA retreat(2016). He is an amazing presenter and motivates you to succeed! He spoke directly to every student's strength/shortcomings/fears during the Faculty Panel session. He is very kind and takes his time with students. He even invites you to make an appointment for advising. I'm making him my adviser.
I enjoyed the course . Mr. Davidian teaches very well and is clear about the expectations. We learned true engineeirng and calculations in the real-world. The projects were awesome, especially the one we had to lift him towards the second floor of the E7 building. BTW, he is an excellent advisor, motivator, and person!
Professor Davidian is clear in his requirements and if you do as he assigns you will get an A. He has used my papers to show others many times and I try to do my best because of it! He is strict and knows his material very well. I am also receiving mentoring from him and he is the best. Great teacher, motivator, advisor, person! Students' Professor!
I enrolled in the course at Alhambra High School for Spring 2016 and loved the class very much. Professor Davidian was very clear, honest, and inspirational. he gave great examples and took his time to question everyone in class. I felt like a college student and learned what to expect in two years when I become a college student in engineering.
Great professor! Great advisor! Respects students! Very helpful! Always available to meet! Responds to emails quickly!
I learned how to use the math concepts in real life and at work. He is a clever professor, because he teaches the material while entertaining us. He makes the class fun, but it is hard. he questions about the material from every student in the class. You cannot hide in his class. You are sometimes asked to go to the board to explain about a concept
He is an excellent academic advisor, STEM mentor, instructor, and he has just improved his service to students. Visit him and find out for yourself. ELAC is fortunate for his type of instructors who have made the student first over personal gains.
I was very impressed with the instructor's knowledge and intense teaching technique. I learned a lot and appreciate his caring for the students' success. Best instructor at ELAC.
Strict and professional. He is very thorough and return our emails on time and very quickly (within 7 hours if it is after hours). He is motivational and gives great academic advice. We truly have a gem at ELAC and is known as "Uncle Davidian". I have not met any instructor who is true to his students' success and very honest with your work ethic.
I am a student at Cathedral High School and we are all very happy to have professor Artin Davidian as our engineering instructor. He is very energetic, professional, gives great advice, and tells us what type of professional companies are looking for and how to prepare for a better life. I wish we could hire him here at CHS for other classes.
Best professor in the department. Will take him for all engineering classes. He cares for students and responds to our emails quickly.
Great instructor and academic advisor. He understands our tough situation and does give good pointers. He went out of his way to introduce me to a great counselor for additional personal advice. Thank you for your training and F.E.F.O. for life.
Take this professor he is a great lecturer. His projects get attention with companies. Make sure to do a great job on them. I also took EGD TEK 101 and GE 212 with him! As everyone says, he is an excellent academic advisor. Check him out!

Get ready to be trained.
I learned and that is all that matters. I still don't know how he made me study sooooo hard.
Thank you for your projects and training Professor Davidian. I have just been hired because of my education and training under you. You did make me a great candidate for the interview and I am more confident as a result. What was amazing is that the interviewing members of this manufacturing company were interested to speak with you.
I took GE 101, GE 131, EGD TEK 101, IND TEK 103, IND TEK 106, MIT 220, GE121, and have gone to his office numerous times for academic advising. He has gone above and beyond the call of duty to train, educate, entertain, advise, mentor, and act as our ELAC "Uncle"! Professor Davidian is priceless for the students' success. Great hire ELAC!!!
I learned a lot about shop math, calculations, and using measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers. Professor Davidian explained the math in a nonthreatening way. I always feared math, but not with this instructor. He broke the problems and concepts down and challenged us in class. I am planning to take more engineering classes with him.
He is strict and lectures very well. He breaks down the material into simpler sections so you understand. If you do not read ahead and attend SI sessions you may not pass the class. He does call you to the front of the class to explain concepts and problems. Be prepared to learn and learn very well. He should teach physics as well. He's that good.
I learned how to work in a team, on group project that felt very close to what I should expect in the industry, I was challenged with the expected workload and quality of work required by Professor Artin Davidian. He showed us professionalism and respect for all. He also showed us how to expect good output from other members' of the team.
AMAZING! You will learn from professor Davidian. He motivates you to succeed regardless of your home life, family support, bad counseling, and bad life choices. He does not judge, but he is strict with your end product! Your work has to satisfy him not you! You'll know what I mean when you enroll in his courses. If you're lazy, then you'll FAIL!
I learned a lot in professor Artin Davidian's class and he challenged us. Great professor and strict. He is the real deal! I am planning to enroll in every class he teaches at ELAC. Professor Davidian gave me the confidence to complete tasks on my own and complete them very well. He's the best at ELAC. He cares for his students and brings reality to his coursework. Never a dull moment and he does not waste the student time like the other professors. He knows the material very well and explains it even better. BTW, he's strict.
Awesome professor. I have completed my 1st engineering course and not only I have learned the material but also gained enormous amount of confidence to becoming an engineer. He is an energetic and very honest instructor. He will tell you as it is. He will not glorify or decieve you as others may. He is an excellent academic advisor.
We're very happy that professor Davidian is at ELAC. He's one of the instructors that explains the work very well, gives us the necessary education and training, doesn't deceive us with stories and false claims, gives respect as necessary (you give respect to receive it), one of the best advisors on campus. I'll be in his GE212 class next.
I enjoyed the course a lot. The professor was great based on his lectures, speed, knowledge, and explanation of concepts and applications. He also gives thorough academic advisemet. Don't go to him if you wish for him go along with your excuses, he doesn't and he'll tell you about it! He is a realist and will hold you responsible for a bad product.
Great motivator. It's true, he does confront you with your laziness and he does not sugarcoat it either. He will not back down until you give an excellent end result on your projects, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and teamwork. AT the end of the training, you do transform into a better student. If you decide not to work, you fail. No excuses!!
All around a perfect professor of engineering and technologies. He is honest and gives great advise for academics and life. He is very respectful and very direct. If you are lazy he will put you on the spot in class. If you have done excellent work, he will also congratulate you in front of the class. By far the best professor and adviser at ELAC.
Excellent professor. The best at ELAC.
Just the best. Excellent academic, personal, and university choosing adviser and mentor.
Life changing experience. All of his quotes makes sense. He cares for education a lot. He cares for us a lit. I don't make excuses for my shortcomings any more like so many of my friends and family still do. They blame others for their misfortunes, but I have moved on from that lame attitude. If I work, then I'll succeed.
Homework assignments are graded and returned to us on time. Great lectures and SI sessions. I loved the "no excuse" attitude. The best advisor in ELAC.
Well planned and executed class. I learned a lot from Professor Davidian. Very caring and a great trainer. Awesome advisor and mentor. I am taking GE131 and IND TEK 1303 with him as well for the next semester.
Professor Davidian is an inspiration to our success in Engineering & Technologies Department at ELAC. He motivates us to give our 100% to our coursework and final project. He challenges us and observes us regularly. He loves speaking to students. He gives great academic advising. He is well liked and respected by students and is highly trusted!
ELAC's best professor. Connects very well with us the students. Very honest and direct. He actually listens during his office hours and comes up with many approaches to assist you. He expects us to do our work professionally. No excuses! You will be put on the spot if assignments are poor or not done. I hope he'll stay at ELAC and not go to Pomona.
I worked hard in professor Davidian's class. He gave great advice and was a great leader and a cheer leader for us all. He makes you learn and the entire class collaborated to help each other on the Stirling Engine final project. I had never experienced this much positive attitude and learning atmosphere in any class nor school I attended. Thank U.
I learned about life and the secret to success in academics, future job, and self improvement. No more self pitty and playing the victim role! Thank you professor Davidian for your advice, training, and celebrating our achievements.
I learned about life and the secret to success in academics, future job, and self improvement. No more self pitty and playing the victim role. Great professor. Our instructor! The one and only Uncle Davidian.
Excellent professor of engineering and technologies. Listens well and advises as if he is actually our uncle! He simply cares and if required, he will train with tough love! The best I have seen in education setting. I'm transferring to CSU Long Beach soon. Can I take him with me?
One of the best faculty at ELAC. He is a strict professor and make sure to do the work as he requests if not, ...! There is a rumor that he may be leaving ELAC for another college out of the LACCD system. I hope this is just a rumor and not true. Great advisor and mentor. He understand the student's questions and problems we face.
"Uncle" Davidian cares for us. He is our one-&-only YodaVader of E&T. He's advised me for 3-yrs & I'm a year from transferring to UCI! Sadly, the rumors may be true! He may be thinking to join another school outside of LACCD. Did ELAC treat him badly or he has received a better job offer?! I hope he stays at ELAC as more of us need his mentoring!
Strict but great person to speak with for your academic and life stresses. I graduated from CSU Pomona and currently working for an engineering firm designing fasteners for aerospace vehicles. It was his academic advice that got me to the university and now a successful career. Visit him asap and be honest. He hates liars! He has great projects.
1. Design projects are relevant. 2. Great advisor. 3. An enthusiastic professor. 4. Challenges you every class time. 5. Cares for students. 6. Very straightforward. 7. Always available to hear you! Professor Davidian has invited high school students to visit our class so they can see what to expect when they decide to attend ELAC Engineering.
No one comes close to professor Davidian. He's the best in this business. He's very honest and that's why you'll get the best advice from him. He won't sugar-coat the reality to win you over as others do. He's my advisor, mentor, educator, above all, my ELAC "uncle" that I trust. His lectures are amazing. You won't be borred as he'll keep u awake.
Caring and kind hearted. Very strict. One of the best for academic advising. He expects the best from students. Don't play the victim role with him because he will call you on it and your case will not go far with him. You'll enjoy his lectures. A natural entertainer. His lectures are never borring. If you're lazy, don't take his classes.
He is an excellent instructor of engineering and technologies. Caring and gives excellent feedback on assignments and projects. Davidian is also an excellent advisor. He treats you as a professional, so don't come in with excuses. He'll put you on the spot if you're not ready for class. Have all material ready for his classes "especially" textbooks
He teaches in a way that you'll understand. You will struggle a little if this is your first exposure to drafting. He is definitely strict, but he will not give up on you. If you try there is a good chance he'll find you additional help so you'll succeed. Definitely a great advisor.
The best professor West of the Mississippi! You don't have to believe me, enroll in his classes and judge for yourself! He'll make you work and learn for your future.
I received an excellent training and education from professor Davidian. He takes his time both to explain the new material and then to ask us questions to see if we did understand it. He has empowered me with the necessary study tools so I'll feel confident to take any class and succeed.
Davidian explains well and requires the best work (professional). Your best means nothing to him. Your work has to be close to industry best! Attend class on time and do your work on time. The best engineering professor on campus.
Davidian is an excellent engineering professor. Very caring and knowledgeable. Explains the material in a way that is not overwhelming and puts the right amount of tension on you by asking questions in class on the lecture.
The course was very useful and professor Davidian explains the concept for our understanding. He also challenges the students during lecture to check their understanding. You will not be borred in his class. It's actually the opposite because you know that he may call on you next! He is definitely one of the best advisors on campus and he cares.
Professor Davidian is one of a kind! He explains well, cares for our work. You must submit professional work not just your best. You could redo your assigned work for a grade change consideration. He treats us like professionals. Great academic advisor. Take hid GE101 course as well. He'll prepare you for you academic and peofessional life.
I made a working Stirling Engine because of his constant reminders and inspirational lectures. I am more excited about for engineering because of his sideline cheerleading and guidance. Thank you professor Davidian for believing in us. I'm getting ready for his next classes coming up in fall semester!
You learn very well in prof. Davidian's courses. I was asked a few questions in my job interview tha he had taught us in EGDTEK 101 class & now I'm employed in an engineering company as a draftsperson & design technician. I took another industry drafting teacher, but he couldn't teach well, but when I added Davidian'c class I saw the difference!
Professor Davidian is fantastic. He is strict yet respects his students. He has in numerous occasions advised students on their adademic and personal questions. He teaches students how to navigate the confusing higher education and if you're still confused or shy, he will introduce you to the on-campus resources. He can't be replaced by another.
Motivational speaker. His way of communicating with students isn't the norm by other professors' standard, yet he gets us motivated more! He encouraged us to complete the Technical Writing course final in a timely manner and quality we treated it as a professional work. At the end the entire class felt proud of their accomplishments. TY Professor!!
If you want to improve yourself, then enroll in courses that is taught by professor Artin Davidian. If you want to live life with excuses, he's not the right professor for you. ELAC engineering & technologies students love you Sir! Honest, active advisor and mentor, and student advocate all rapped in one person.

His feedbacks are priceless and improves your design projects and presentation skills. Everything you have read so far about his academic and personal advising is right on the mark.
Great professor of engineering and technologies department at ELAC.
Davidian teaches well and really cares for his students' knowledge. He will challenge you in class to make you ready for industry. Don't assume that by showing up you will pass the class. You won't!
The best engineering design professor at ELAC. His comments are real-world based and doesn't hold anything back. If you don't do your work, you'll have to answer to him and peers in the class. It's as close to industry as you can get in education. I recommend him for your preparation for engineering profession. BTW, he's known as Uncle Davidian.
Davidian explains well and gives us time to ask questions. Excellent academic and personal adviser. He takes his time with each student and that may cause you to wait for a while to be seen by him. You should compare Davidian to a fine restaurant that has a long waiting time to be seated, but once seated you'll enjoy the excellent food & service.
Best professor at ELAC and he is very honest. He will teach you a lot of ways to navigate the higher education maze. He gets a lot of students who visit him for advising, so prepare to wait or better yet ask for an appointment. He also allowed my parents to visit with me to see him about my academic advising session. He explains clearly.
He teaches with excitement and gives good advice to think about. He doesn't just lecture, but explains his reasoning behind it with his experiences. He made me think about my life and gave me options to improve (studying, goal setting, positive/focused attitude, not playing the victim role, begin/finish tasks, planning, control my future).
As a female engineering student, at first I felt intimidated by his presence, but then I realized that he was trying to empower me to succeed as a student and a future engineer. He gets rid of race, color, nationality in his class and prepares you for success. You have to enroll in his classes to experience it! I'm grateful to his caring for us.
He's overall a very good teacher, who intimidates inorder to motivate which is amazing
I enjoyed the course content, team projects, real-life engineering experience, intense instructor attitude, but forgiving as well. Davidian has a way with students that inspires us to do our best. He empowered us to achieve greatness with new challenges and he is definitely relentless with his training. That is why he is the best.
A very good professor. You'll learn in his classes. Great academic advisor. Be prepared to read and answer questions. Don't be lazy because if you are, he'll put you on the spot in class. The only ways not to do his assignments is to drop the course or not enroll in them. I'm doing great at UC Irvine because of his training. Thank you Sir.
Prof. Davidian was an excellent instructor during the summer. I am a high school student who was enrolled in his summer GE101 class and I learned a lot about how to succeed, be a great student and stay focused towards achieving my goals. I'm enrolled in his Fall EGD TEK 101 course.
Davidian lectures clearly. He requires professional work and not just your best work. He explains all you need to know to submit the required assignments. Attend class and learn. Enroll in any of his classes to learn the rules and secrets of the FEFO game.
It was one of the best classes I had taken at any college or university. The summer session was very fast, but Davidian was inspirational and a great motivational lecturer. At first you think he doesn't understand our struggles, but later you realize that he gets it better than your family. He was also able to make us care about our success.
Excellent, excellent, excellent, and excellent professor of engineering.
Prof. Davidian gave great lectures and was very clear about the course requirements. He treated the design class as a real-world company and gave us instructions about the projects at hand. However, just like a real job the final requirements changes as we achieved great results. This made our final design project more professional and we learned!
Best professor at ELAC. You have to take his classes to truly appreciate his hard work. He says that he's not here for us, but when you see him in action it's exactly the opposite.
Our uncle in ArtDavidian is awesome and we are truly fortunate for having him at ELAC. Also, he is one honest individual. He is definitely strict and at the same time is very understanding of our personal situation, but he doesn't take too kindly to excuses. He will definitely pt you on the spot if you're lazy. Excellent advisor.
He is the best. Very clear and teaches clearly. His work expectations are based on industry quality not education quality. You'll leave his class with confidence. There is rumor that he may be leaving ELAC for another college. We hope it's not true.
He is the best. Very clear and teaches clearly. His work expectations are based on industry quality not education quality. You'll leave his class with confidence.
Awesome course. Prof. Davidian treated us as professionals hired to do a task (build a working prototype of a glider). He gave us specific directions and guided us until the product was designed, built, tested, tested, revised, tested, and finally delivered for final approval and dissemination to company professionals. Davidian is the best in town.
If I ever become a professor, I want to be exactly like Davidian. He has found the secret to motivate his students to work hard. I know, since I did my best in all of his courses. It's like i was bewitched by some power to do his assignments first and to the best quality. He is thorough, exciting, and honest. You lie to him, he'll lose respect 4 U.
What he taught in class is what I use at work. His drafting techniques do come in handy in industry work. Professor Davidian is also an excellent motivator, advisor, and mentor.
I've had professor Davidian for other classes and now I had him for the Math portion of the UAV Certification course. He was amazing as usual. He was enthusiastic, entertaining, informative, professional, engaging, answered all questions, gave an excellent lecture and explained applications about the theory. No one comes close to his teaching style
This course is the real deal in engineering design and testing when professor Davidian is at the helm. The course is challenging and there isn't a dull moment. Davidian gives you an opportunity to show what you're made off in terms of engineering skills. If you're lazy, watch out for the lion is right behind you and he'll put you on the spot.
Excellent professor of engineering. Great lectures and teaches us about professionalism and respect in every class he teaches. Very respectful of students. He is an excellent and truthful academic advisor and life coach. He's an asset to ELAC.
I am employed because of prof Davidian's teaching skills and passion for student accomplishment, success, self worth and esteem. He supports his best qualified students with letters of recommendation and acts as their reference when applying for technical positions. He is the best trainer for the future professional. He is an awesome motivator.
I'm in professor Davidian's class for fall 2017 and he's an amazing instructor. He's very motivational and truthful. He's definitely strict, but is helping us to be successful. He's definitely the best advisor in the engineering department. He doesn't sugarcoat anything and definitely doesn't waste our time. He's not in a hurry to leave class.
Professor Davidian listens carefully to our questions and gets our issues and life difficulties. His ability to explain the way to navigate the higher education beast is amazing. What makes him an ELAC goldmine is his honesty and passion for student success. He has taught me to take responsibility for my actions and control of my future successes.
An excellent professor of engineering. Teaches very well and explains the new material in an easy way to understand. Challenges us in class to make sure we understand the material very well. Very caring and honest. Unlike the typical boring professor. Great advisor.
Davidian is outsdanding. If this class was a Broadway show, it would surpass Lion King, Fantom of d Operah, Beauty & d Beast. He's very passionate about student education and finds resources to assist us. He's our ELAC uncle for sure. I can't wait to take more engineering classes with him. I've never seen so many students respect & love 1-teacher.
You will work hard in his classes and as you work you're getting stronger. He's the lead in ELAC's Fearful-5 Super Heros. The list is Prof. Artin Davidian, Dr. Kirk Olsen, Dr. Armando Rivera-Figueroa, Prof. Viken Kiledjian, and Prof. David Senensieb. Word on the street is that "never take more than 3 of these faculty at once in any semester".
Davidian knows his business very well and be prepared to learn and work hard for your education. He just made our final project become a professional product after its completion. He also is a master of getting his students motivated to work collaboratively with each other. Of course he's also one of the best advisors in town.
He lectures with knowledge, passion, and lots of amazing charisma. Never a dull moment in his lectures. If you snooze, you'll be called on in class and there's no two ways around it. I've never worked so hard in any other teacher or instructor as I've done for professor Davidian with gratitude. He has also inspired me to excel in engineering.
I nearly had a heart attack the first time I met him. He is very intimidating, but by the end of the course, you will be thankful and honored to have had him as a professor. Expect the unexpected, ALWAYS. Do your reading logs and make sure to get started on your Stirling Engine ASAP. Don't make excuses. You're responsible for your education.
Happy New Year professor Davidian. He is a very good and knowledgeable instructor. Very humble and his lectures are to the point and sometimes entertaining. He will ask you questions during class so be ready. Overall, he is the best. Of course, you have heard that he's an excellent advisor.
I'm in the winter 2018 morning class and he's a great professor. Strict, definitely. Fair, you better believe it. I've tried his methods and they worked very well for me. I'm enjoying my college life now because of his lectures and his education methodologies. I'm planning my spring classes to have at least one class with professor Artin Davidian.
Make sure to take professor Davidian for Statics. He's an excellent lecturer and explains the details for the subject. Never a dull moment. You snooze, you'll definitely lose. Everyone is responsible for the material and everyone in the class gets a chance to participate.
Since I took his class, I am able to study efficiently. I also studied how to work on a team and now my team is getting motivated so we are able to make a stirling engine. Personally, I like his lecture more than any other professors because he ask me questions unlike other professors don't.
At first I thought he's mean but later it was clear he was trying to teach us to navigate the school challenges and look towards future. I'm more focused after his class and very motivated to become an engineer. My team and l are taking 2 more classes with him for spring semester. He does excellent advising because he listens to our questions well.
Davidian is highly respected by students for his service to us. Eventhough he could have gone home after class, he stayed on campus to make sure we were getting our Stirling engine project videos completed. His support for us is amazing. He is strict and professional, but he makes himself available for his students. I hope he stays at ELAC long.
Tough but exciting winter semester. I would have never imagined that I could accomplish what my classmates and I did for this course. Davidian was always present in our progress to success and he never let us get away with any personal excuses. I'm now more ready for college work than ever. Thank you professor Davidian for your wisdom and efforts.
Davidian is very clear no matter what course he teaches. I took IND TEK 106 & 103 in Fall 2017 and learned a lot. He's a SOB, but in a great way. He is strict and cares for our training a lot. He won't let you get away with excuses. You'll learn very quickly to deliver on his required assignments and projects. He made the process of learning fun.
He's ours and noone can have him. He's an excellent lecturer and explains the subject very clearly and with excitement. He's an active participant in our education. He takes lying very seriously and will put you on the spot, no matter who you are, if you lie. Excuses don't work on him, so don't even try.
I'm currently in prof. Davidian's class and so far he's been professional and on schedule. But, when I attended the Engineering Student Experience event last wednesday, my friends and i were truly impressed by his motivational presentation as well as his thoughts when he shared them as a panelist. We're even more dedicated to becoming an engineer.
It's very important to take the right professors at college. Especially when you're at a job interview. Because of Davidian's design class I was able to give many examples at the interview and now I'm employed at a manufacturing company. Also, having him as a reference HELPS. Yes, the rumors are true, he's a ball-buster when it comes to projects.
I'm well prepared for strengths and dynamics after taking Davidian for statics compared to my classmates who took other professors. He makes the lectures interactive and easy to understand. He's strict, but you're better prepared at the end for the next course or if you're hired at a company. He's an excellent motivational speaker.
If you want to learn take his classes. He is strict. You become lazy, he'll roast you. You lie, he'll crucify you. You need advice, he's the best. He's gone out of his way to assist me with getting in touch with the right counselor, etc. at ELAC. He's real and he'll explain how the higher education works and how it decieves you at the same time.
He'll get under your skin and raise your knowledge and energy levels to amazing heights. All you need to do is stay with his classes until the end. Do his assignments as he wants thwm. He's been able to debunk 90% of any counselor's academic advice. He's a great reference. Dont expect group hugs from him, but he'll assist you navigate education.
The best engineering professor I have ever had.. and I will be graduating this year with my mechanical engineering degree! Wish he taught more higher level engineering courses.
He manages the class like a company and students are engineers employed at the company. I'm not sleeping much, but I'm very focused and excited for our project. He gives great suggestions and motivates and energizes us when we need it the most. He'll also chew you out if lazy. I'm very happy to be his student. He's the best at ELAC.
Great class and great instructor. He's strict but very caring. He makes it as if we're employed in a company. He also once in a while brings his old textbooks to class and gives it to students.
If you can handle the truth, take any of his classes. Very entertaining and educational lectures. Accessible outside of class. Responds to his emails fairly quickly. He has a clear grading requirement. He'll make you think at a higher level. He advised me to not just accept it, but instead question and investigate the facts until you reach truth.
He teaches well and gives good feedback. Motivates you to learn. No place to hide in his classes. Everyone is fair game to be asked a question about the lesson being taught. You get more than you pay for his courses, so be ready to learn. He doesn't forgive liars. BTW, register early as he may not add students to his classes, no matter the reason.
He makes you think deeply about analyzing your thoughts and presenting them professionally to others. No nonsense personality. Don't even try to play the victim role, he'll eat you alive in class. I learned about analyzing media properly for myself and not buy into the entertainment news. I'm also more aware of my public education institutions.
Great experience. After taking this course with prof Davidian, I feel ready for any challenge in my life. He expects the best end-result every day from you and he's available outside of class to speak and advise. He's excellent in math & wish he could teach math at ELAC. He's strict and hates anyone that lies (it's amazing how he catches liars).
Davidian is the best faculty by far at ELAC. He creates challenges to train us for the real world, outs of ELAC. His leadership got us to shine at the E&T's Advisory Board meeting yesterday. What he told us for many years and during our Engineering design course, was proven to us, word-for-word! He's the reason my friends also transfered to ELAC.
Don't take his class if you're planning to cruise the course. You'll get burnt. He's strict and caring. Professional with a dash of humor. Lie to him and that'll be the end of getting access to him. Don't play the victim role. He teaches what you need for industry and he expects professional results. I'm now ready for solidworks and autocad. FEFO!
I took prof. Davidian for the Summer semester and I'm very glad for him forcing me to grow up as a high school student getting ready to transfer to college in 1.5 years. He was inspirational for me to become focused towards my goals and get ready to ask for my required knowledge from the high school principal, teachers, and counselors next year.
This professor is a great inspiration for all future engineer majors. He brings you discipline, directs you to be truly focus and grills your brain to challenge yourself to improve. Not easy to take his class because he truly test you. It is a reward to learn from Artin Davidian.
Read ahead and be ready for in class questions. You can't hide in his classes. He gives good and clear lectures. His Academic advising is the best at ELAC. Available outside of class. He definitely hates liars.
Everything I've read and heard for Davidian before taking this course has been true so far. He's demanding, professional, energetic, knowledgeable, student based, great academic advisor, entertaining during class, requiring everyone to participate, and more. He's respectful of all and wants everyone's good work and professionalism. Don't be late!
Took class in summer and 5 weeks only. The class went too fast but learned a lot from professor Davidian. I'm more dedicated to study now and I'll be attending ELAC after next year at high school. I'm going to ask my school's permission to take GE101 for fall semester with him. I learned to ask questions in class and be more focused and confident.
Prof. Davidian is known by students as our ELAC uncle, so that makes him the best at our campus. He cares for our success. He's strict and teaches with tough love so get ready to learn. He definitely hates liars, so tell him the truth. He'll do his best to advise you correctly in academics for your classes. Get ready for group projects.
I enjoyed the course because prof. Davidian made it real. He didn't teach us all the keys and functions. Instead, he assigned a project and we were guided through the program. He made the class fun and upbeat. At the end, I knew everything I needed to learn SolidWorks and now, I am more comfortable in learning new things on the software on my own.
You learn in his classes. No free lunch! You do your work as he wants it, you'll get a good grade. You do what you want to do, you may not pass the class. He's specific and professional. You have to rise to his work standards, if not, you're in for a rude awakening of your life. He's an excellent professor and teaches clearly. Very entertaining.
Prof. Davidian is a great leader, cheerleader, and instructor. He got us to get off of our b_tts and get the work done properly and on time. He challenged us, criticised our work, directed us to look creatively for solutions, macromanaged us, and always respected us. He's a "magician" in directing his students to success. Thank You Sir for caring
Not only he's an excellent professor, advisor, mentor, and student success advocate, he's also an excellent math tutor and instructor. My math professor confused the entire class with her teaching style. When I asked Davidian about it he explained the new material in an easy to understand method. He should be teaching a few math classes at ELAC!
Best engineering professor. He'll make you ready not only for university but also technical industry. No nonsense guy with lots of knowledge to share. He goes out of his way to help students navigate through educational obstacles made by the system. He makes you think at a higher level and question everything.
Regardless of what he says, he cares. Be ready for Stirling Engine project. He's strict and wants the best for each assignment and not just the best that you can do. Oh, he's a good advisor too.
I'm a H.S. student who took summer class with prof Davidian. He's strict but very helpful, caring and super smart about the education system. Everything he taught us Iused at school with my principal, counselors, teachers. All worked well, except my stubborn parent's who don't understand college is necessary for success. But, I learned to resist.
Read before coming to class. He's very good and class speed is excellent. Promotes SI classes and he teaches us clearly. Promotes student questions, calls us to the board, asks questions from us. You can't hide in his class. I've learned a lot in his Statics class. Oh, he's an excellent advisor. Also, he's the leader of the Fearful-5! :-)
He's one of the best professors at ELAC. He cares for students and has many suggestions for navigating the confusing and sneaky academic pathways to success. His projects are challenging and very rewarding in the long term. He prepares you for industry. Prof. Davidian should be your 1st stop for academic advising instead of a counselor. Fearful-5.
You learn in his class. He gives the best training for this class. We learned about the education pitfalls and how to succeed in our coursework. His projects are challenging and definitely could be discussed during an interview with university recruiters and internship hiring committee. He makes himself available for students.
He gives the best training in engineering application. He makes you understand what you're doing for the project and will put you on the spot if you're not accountable for your share of the team project. Each project or assignment has a lecture followed by Q/A session. After that you and your team are macromanaged by him until its conclusion.
Worked hard and it was worth it. Final project made sense. It's something the freshman students could use. It's a very real end project, not like something to do. Davidian guides you, but you have to find the path.
Davidian is a didactic and knowledgable professor who goes beyond in assisting and teaching his students. He does have a strict grading system and his test and quiz dates seem unorganized. He is funny at times and engages students in class by putting them on the spot. His teaching style enforces students to stay on top of their classes.
He's a great professor of engineering. I enjoyed the technical writing class and now looking forward to the GE212, the design class taught by him in spring semester. we learned to work on a professional academic transfer packet for engineering. his projects make sense and make you ready for the prfoessional world. He's an excellent advisor.
You won't go wrong with prof. Davidian. I've seen him in action when fighting for education and he'll stand for his students' right to receiving the best service at ELAC. He's strict about receiving the best work from us, his students, and he won't accept any excuse. I spoke about my projects I did in his class during job interviews.
Any class you take with him, you'll get an excellent engineering training. He's also an excellent academics and personal advisor. He listens. You're never rushed when you visit him. He's strict and demands excellence. Great person for job-based references. His GE101 ROCKS.
With Davidian it's serious business. He treats every class like it's the real industry work. It was very challenging, but I got a great education out of it. I recommend him for every class. He's an excellent academic advisor.
I am a high school student. I was fortunate enough to take Professor Davidian's class. As the days and weeks drew on, I realized what a blessing this professor is for the ELAC community. The Stirling Engine and projects may seem like the end of the world, but they prepared me for the next chapter of my life. Thank you, professor, for everything.
If you want to become a real engineer, then take classes with Davidian. He'll work and train you as a real engineer and when you complete the class you'll realize the training you've received. His teaching style is far from the norm.
I took this course in the summer, 5 week session, and enenthough it was hard, I learned a lot from the experience. Davidian teaches very well and everything he says is very relevant to STEM as well as our lives. I now know how to navigate the education system in my advantage. I recommend his course to all freshman, regardless of your major.
Excellent trainer of the professionals needed for the future.
Expects so much from you when he gives so little.
This instructor is not for the lazy people. You take his classes, you better bring it! Make sure to leave your excuses at home. He treats everyone with respect and requires professionalism. Be ready to work, as he won't do it for. I enjoy the reality of his classes to the real-world experience.
He teaches this course as a self taught method and I am learning a lot! My team and I are constantly meeting to compare notes, so we would be ready to answer questions in class. This is currently, one of my best and active classes for the semester. My math and physics classes should learn from Davidian.
Like the format of class. We are responsible to teach ourselves. It makes me responsible to teach others while learning from my classmates. What a concept! I wish other classes were taught this way.
He's on top of the class. If team goes off track, he's got a 5minute meeting that gets teams on track. Lectures are very good. Lazy students are put on the spot. Be ready to learn and work. BTW, be prepared for class.
He doesn't teach anything, He makes his class fun, like he makes a lot of jokes. He changes his class work whenever he wants. by the end of the semester, our grade was based in one project that it was mostly for him to show up than for us to learn something. Yes, he makes us work in groups, but I don't think I learn much in his class.
He is a very good professer. Professer Davidian is a funny prof. and he tells us funny jokes however he makes us work for it! I love group projects and I really like getting to know my classmates better.
He tells you how to be in control of your future and coursework. Student's best advocate. He'll train you well and holds you responsible for your actions (good & bad). He knows how the professionals work and trains you accordingly. Very humorous and strict. He's not accepting your best work, but the best and safest work used by the end-user.
Approachable and good lectures. I learned about professional communication via email, memos, powerpoint presentations, conducting professional meetings and presenting to professioanls. This was a great class and experience. Davidian made sure everyone got the job done and expected a professional end result for the projects. That was awesome!
So far one of the best Professors out there.
You must work for a grade. Lots of group projects that make you socialize with your teammates. One rule only change your attitude meaning do not be stuborn. If you do not understand a problem during a lecture ask Prof. Davidian. It is stupid to ask stupid questions however it is more stupid to not ask a question at all.
Just dont take him please and save yourself some time.
Great professor of engineering and technology. Great lectures and the best trainer for professional work experience.
He expect too much when he doesn't give anything.. class is self-taught and at the end you feel like you didn't learn anything
Professor Artin Davidian is one of the most well respected Professor that I have encountered here at East Los Angeles College. He is not there for you nor you are there for him. However, what is there for you are his great and respected services! Get his assigned projects done with quality and you'll be good. GO ABOVE AND BEYOND "BROWNIE POINTS"!
Teaches well and gives great feedback. Trains you well for industry. Will take any class that he teaches.
This is for the people who have never taken a course with Prof. Davidian. He is the best instructor in training you for industry. The class had a very interesting and real-life project that has helped me even today in industry. I will take every class that he teaches.
Trustworthy professor of Engineering & Technologies. He knows the educational system well and teaches the "How to Navigate it".
Loved the experience and learned a lot! His techniques for teaching are much more engaging than the rest at ELAC, especially in STEM. Just remember, not to come to his class with excuses. Remember, that he does not want your best work, but the best work that is required for a technical field.
I took the class at ELAC instead of Cal Poly Pomona and I was amazed at how he broke down the engineering concepts into simple physics and math ingredients. He has a unique teaching style, which was new to me and that I appreciated. He's also reachable out of class via zoom meetings. That was awesome! BTW, don't come to class with excuses!!
Truth be told, Professor Davidian has a good sense of humor. However, he makes you work for your grade. If you don't get the assignment correct the first time, he'll train and work with you to do it correctly for a second submission. You can take anyone to waist your time, but take Davidian to get it done right! He's also a great academic advisor.
Prof. Davidian is passionate about instilling a sense of professionalism in your attitude and work you submit to him. He will give you life lessons that you may not want but you need to be successful. Be open minded and remember that he is training you for the real world environment. Carry the lessons he gives to other classes and your work.
He know's how to listen and advise courses that make sense and is best for you. His class lectures were great and he didn't rush through the subject like other instructers. He does require a professional work from you. He's not interested in your best work, but instead the best work for the customer, himself. He hates excuses like a virus.
I haven't been in a class that you learn so much, work hard, research like a mad person, spend many sleepless nights, work constantly with classmates, and enjoy every second of it! Prof. Davidian was the mastermind working from behind the scenes guiding our progress. He's Ocean in "ELAC's Ocean's 16". He guided, inspected, and cheered for Us!
I couldn't have imagined that I would be able to draft one day, but professor Davidian gave me the training and encouragement to do so and now I've got the confidence to continue with more difficult engineering drawings. He's strict and now I understand why! I'll be taking more classes with him before transferring. He's also a great math tutor.
Prof. Daidian is awesome! Gives great feedback, is always available, very honest and caring, even though he says that he's not there for us! Good listener and an excellent academic/personal advisor and mentor. He's an excellent Math 125, 120, 241, and 260 tutor. I know, since he tutored me in these subjects. He molds us into E&T professionals!
This was one of the most informative tech classes I've had. There was definitely a lot of work, but I learned a lot on the different measuring devices that exist in industry and their usage. Davidian makes the course like we're working in a company, yet makes each session interesting and fun. He's an excellent advisor, so schedule an appointment.
I am speechless. He speaks the truth on classes and is available out of class for advisment sessions.
The best trainer in technical and practical coursework. He's an excellent advisor and mentor. Very honest and explains difficult subjects clearly. Is always available for students and supports student success causes with a passion.
If you want a faculty who gives honest advice, fights for student success within the educational institutions, and who lectures well, then you must speak with professor Davidian at ELAC's Engineering and Technologies department. He'll train you well for internships and industry based professionalism.
Self learning class, he doesn't teach you anything at all in preparation to his assignments. honestly, just don't take his class unless you want his possible network connections. you can never meet his standards. His kingdom, his rules.
Respectful, honest, great trainer-advisor-mentor, fighter for students' suuccess, funnnny, great humor. In his class I learned about myself (strengths & weaknesses), he's patient with students yet persistent with their professional training, fighter for students' success. Teaches how to navigate through higher education. Gives real-world projects.
I've taken many classes with Davidian and he's always made his classes fun, educational, and close to industry as possible. Currently, we're preparing for an annual conference (AGEEEC) and we've learned by doing the work as to what it takes to be professional and gather proper research information. You won't go wrong with him, EVER! Great advisor!!
Just the best professor, trainer, advisor, mentor, and advocate for student success against any resistance force in the district. Email him and find out for yourself.
If you have no backbone, don't take his class. If you want to build strong work ethic while learning about engineering, then take his class. His teaching method is definitely unique but do the work, go that extra mile, and you will acquire a lot of knowledge. And for the love of god, get the final project done early to avoid the stress near the end
He's an excellent instructor. He made me a professional and confident presenter. He assisted with my current employer at an engineering manufacturing company where I conduct product testing, and analysis reporting. He trains you well, so be prepared to make good impressions with him by working hard, following directions, and the rest will follow.
This professor dances close to the boundaries of what is appropriate in the classroom setting. students would begin a project and invest time just to not be presented for a grade and forgotten. There are vague hints he does not get along with other colleges.
Davidian is available outside of class, even on zoom advising sessions. He's honest and trains us like professionals. A few classmates are lazy & full of excuses and do not survive the class. But, the rest of us are well off for it, as our production level grows exponentially. I'm now part of the NASA research because of him. He brings resource.
Davidian is available to meet with you as you request of him. He brings resources as needed for our success. He's an excellence academic advisor. He'll go out of his way to get you ready for the E&T workforce. If you're lazy, stay away cause you're going to get in the way of my success and I won't stay for it. Get ready to work hard in your teams.
Prof. Davidian's projects are awesome. He challenges towards our success. The lazy students don't stand a chance, but the hard working ones gain a lifetime advisor, professional mentor, lifetime of great letters of recommendations and a professional reference. NCAS has heard of Davidian, his former students, and his projects. Now, it's up to you.
I agree with the previous rating that prof. Davidian's classes are exciting and filled with training opportunities. He does start slow but gets into his professional training quickly. He has been a great advisor and mentor for me. I've taken every course he teaches and appreciate his availability for us. He's honest and caring. Come to work hard.
I've taken numerous classes with Davidian and in all of those courses he's trained us professionally and has given us confidence that's necessary for the real world of engineering. He's always available outside of class to advise and answer student's questions. I'm currently in an engineering internship with his help. He's a great reference.
Anytime I asked he was available for zoom advising meeting. He's good professor and also helped me to explain my goals to my family. They're now supporting me to spend more time studying. Prof Davidian's lectures are close to our current life situation and has many suggestions of how to succeed. Email him to see for yourself. He listens to us.
Foremost, he's always available to meet with us over the zoom or respond by email and very quickly. By taking this class with Davidian I was able to show my manager the professional communication skills I have obtained to improve my internship level within the company. The professor is strict, but very approachable and gives great advice.
I loved the final real-world project he assigned to the class. It gave me the knowledge, experience, confidence to solve any problems professionally. BTW, don't approach the prof. with any petty excuses. His class was different than the norm, but it was very effective for industry. My boss was impressed on the project and my professional growth.
One of the best and clearest professors I've had so far. He takes his time, explains well, and makes sure that we understand the material. He teaches us about professionalism and accuracy of work. I'm going to enroll in more courses taught by Davidian.
I've learned to prepare professional engineering drawings that I never thought I could ever do. Davidian has taken his time to explain the required work and the quality. We are able to resubmit work to improve our work and learn from our mistakes. His class sessions are fun and very productive. He's an excellent and honest academic advisor.
He is the best and the most caring professor in the department, if not the campus. He advocates strongly for his students' success against the existing tyranny of education system that includes administrators, few faculty, and few staff. I see the way he encourages us, the students, to stand up for ourselves and take control of our future success.
Until this course, I had never worked so hard in a class and enjoy every second of it with classmates, with lectures, with instructor meetings, and retain the knowledge, years after, because of the way the class was organized and taught. Prof A. Davidian is also an excellent academic advisor and mentor. He explained a path that worked best for me.
Professor Davidian is a caring man who pushes you to success. He never gives up on you and if you ask for help, he'll make himself available on zoom immediately. He trained me before going to my interview for an internship and what he had suggested, actually worked. He directs you to the right resources. BTW, he's very honest about everything.
Very approachable and honest instructor. He teaches very clearly and trains you well to be ready for professional workforce. Make an appointment with him to start your training correctly at ELAC. Great student advocate.
I was nervous about this course but professor Davidian showed different ways to approach the problems and solve them using simple math techniques. He made a lot of zoom meetings for office hours. I'm more confident in STEM work now. I'm looking forward to take more of prof Davidian's classes in Spring and Summer semesters.
Professor Davidian made this course very memorable for me. He made me see that I, as a female, do belong in Engineering and assisted me to explain it to my father, who listened to him carefully as he explained the required courses and the industry opportunities while studying at ELAC. He truly is our best advocate.
You will receive the best training of your life with any course you take with Davidian. In addition, you'll have an opportunity to have one awesome academic and personal advisor on your side. Email him and spend time and ask him questions. Don't take my word for it. He spoke to my parents about the requirements for me to graduate. I'm glad he did!
This professor takes great care of our training and knowledge growth. I'm coming from industry and I was amazed as to how close to industry his assignment requirements were. His approach was confident and thorough to final product and deliverables. When I told my boss about Mr. Davidian's class, he decided to offer him a position in our company.
He explains each new concept clearly and with a lot of patience. I felt comfortable asking questions in class from him. It was amazing how he explains the same question different ways for us to understand. He's a trustworthy academic advisor for your future class and pathways at ELAC. Contact him first at ELAC instead of any counselor.
An overall amazing instrutor.
Always cancel classes, would leave the whole class on zoom while he went away to do who knows what for over 20 mins. Love picking on students for absolutely no reason. Diss other teacher from the same department, claiming he teaches better.
He responds to emails quickly. Has an east coast attitude, meaning very direct and to the point. I like that rather than getting the fluffy responses we get from faculty in other classes. He gives very good academic and personal advisements. During an internship interview I spoke about his class projects and the interviewer already knew about it!
Davidian is a true professional. He's an excellent academic advisor. He lectures at a respectable speed and makes the lectures worthwhile for us. I loved the real-world project that I also use during job interviews. He also supports your progress through ELAC by keeping you out of pitfalls. Set an appointment with him early in your education.
Get ready to be trained by a true professional that respects every single one of us, his students. He's strict and expects professional work, but he's there with you until the end. He also give great and true academic advisement for our professional success. I'm currently at NASA because of his mentorship and training. I do agree, email him 4-appt.
Uncle Davidian's approach to get students to succeed is unique. He's the professor who does it his way that WORKS for us. He doesn't just lecture and go forward, he's actually on our side making sure we get the concepts. If he didn't challenge me in class, I wouldn't have gained confidence as a female engineering student. He made me strong! TY Sir.
If you want service, this is the professor to take. He represents us with enthusiasm and care. Email him for an academic advisement session and make your own mind about him.
Once I took this course with Mr. Artin Davidian my academic and professional pathways became clear. I almost took the wrong direction by taking GE transfer classes for transfer. I'm 3 semesters from transfer to UC San Diego for my Engineering degree. I also shocked my father when he realized that her daughter is smart enough to become an engineer.
Contact prof. Davidian if you want a clear academic advisement, proper professional pathway, faculty that has your best interest in heart, faculty that will fight for your success and stand by your side in tough situations, and one of the best trainers of the field of engineering. If you don't want the above, still send him an email for advisement.
I received one of the best trainings with Mr. Davidian. He's a true instructor that cared for my knowledge/professionalism, advised me for a successful transfer and success in the engineering field, and has become my life-long professional for future job reference and letter of recommendation writer. Thank you Sir for your support and tough love.
He makes you into a better presenter and confident person. The AGEEEC was hard but loved the experience. I also placed it on my resume. Ask him to participate in it when you take his class. Make appointment to talk to him about your class and academic advisement.
I'm working as an engineer now, but when at ELAC I took Davidian for many courses. His teaching is totally effective and different from other faculties way of teaching. His projects are so good that when I shared it during my interview, they were impressed. I agree with others that he's the best advisor at ELAC. Set an appointment with him, soon.
Contact Prof. Artin Davidian for academic and professional advisement. He's by far the best at ELAC, who listens and tells you the truth about your pathways, ways to improve your studies, and proper ways of navigating the educational systems. He makes us into a strongly-bonded family that stays with you for a very long time. Call him if you're lost
WOW! Beyond what I expected but realized at the end of what Davidian intended for me, which was to count on my abilities and grow. It was a long and challenging experience and now, I feel ready for an actual company internship. He didn't hold anything back in training us. Thank you Professor Davidian!
If you want a life experience that will get you ready for your future, Uncle Davidian is the way to start your experience at ELAC. He's an excellent professor and the best academic advisor, trainer, and "uncle" you could ever meet in life. He showed us about the truth within education and how to make it work for you. Email him for an appointment.
I agree for Davidian being an excellent academic and personal advisor. He actually explained my school work requirement to my parents and now they understand. He also explained clearly how education works, so I could go through it with confidence and control. I cannot wait until fall 2022 to take his classes in person! Talk to him before anyone.
Unbelievable on the previous comment by a possible classmate or a jealous instructor who hasn't done much. Davidian always goes out of his way to get us the required knowledge, keep us accountable for our work, and pushes us to SI sessions to do more practice. He's always available for advisement. How dare you criticize his efforts for my success!
His teaching is a solid 3/5 during regular lecture weeks, but a 0/5 during project weeks because he refuses to lecture and take any questions about the sections that he assigns a project for. "I am not your teacher; I am your manager" is a pretty accurate quote of his. Doesn't really teach at times, just sends you off with little to no guidance.
Prof Davidian is always available out of class for advisement or a even a quick chat. He'll even meet with our parents if you ask him to do so. Get ready to work in his classes to earn an A, which is doable, as long as you do your work based on his quality.
Davidian is readily available out of class, responds very quickly to our emails, he's an excellent academic advisor. He's a great source for internships, at least for me. He lectures well and treats us as we are professionals, working for his "company". If you're lazy or think that you'll get away without work, you're in for surprise of your life!
An overall amazing professor. Almost always accessible outside of class for advisment sessions.
Enjoyed and learned what I needed to learn about engineering analysis. Professor Davidian went out of his way to make sure we understood the material to be applied in the engineering field-work. I enjoyed the group presentations on the newer subjects as it made me understand the material even better than if I took tests on them.
I'm a freshman entering ELAC for Fall 2022 and made an academic advisement meeting with Mr. Davidian. He explained everything clearly and helped me to choose the important classes that I need for my engineering career (internships) and education. Amazingly enough, he was OK to meet with my family and answer their questions about my education also.
Professor Davidian was such a great instructor, so much so that he writes his own review on classes that don't exist! Amazing Artin, you are so insecure and fragile that you must succumb to this level of mediocracy. Folks get your AA and transfer asap. Don't be foolish and listen to this man.
Professor Davidian explained each lecture very well and was accessible outside of class. He has group work that made us overcome group work anxiety and made us work on project that I had not done before. He also made himself available for academic advisement that was very productive.
All his courses should be re-labled as "Intro To Microsoft Powerpoint 101." I really wish his courses would give you a certificate in Microsoft Power point at the end of the semester. Man, I love this professor!
If this professor switched professions to car sales, he'd be banking in some heavy checks. I don't want to say he runs a ponzy scheme, but he definitely fools a lot of his students to take as many engineering courses as possible. On top of that, he is very rude, and gets mad when you talk back to him. I'm not surprised his student cussed him out
He tends to badger students for asking certain questions and god forbid we go against his opinion. I understand the importance of preparing an individual for a career but you are NOT my manager, you're my teacher. Please go over all your options before taking this professor. I recommend only as a last resort.
With a few extra years on many of my fellow students, it wasn't difficult to to take the measure of Artin. Hostile, venile, capricious, and unheedful... I could pass English 212 describing this Dickensian denizen, but I wouldn't attempt to learn anything from the man. Hard Pass.
This professor has an ego. Pls do not take his classes. He is literally the worst professor to learn anything from. Just puts his students down.
He will not lecture and expect powerpoints for every class. Has a huge ego and narrow minded mindset, bad attitude and makes extremely rude comments about his students. He writes his own ratings and even makes up classes that do not exist to boost his ego. Avoid all engineering classes with this professor and take them elsewhere.
Davidian was one of the WORST professors I've encountered. I can confidently say he made me realize engineering wasn't for me after taking his classes. He is rude, narrow-minded and regularly berates students under the guise of providing “real-world experience.” His classes are unwelcoming, and the torment isn't worth it. PLS AVOID HIM IF YOU CAN!!
This course was a scam. All hand drafting with 0 CAD, even thought syllabus and course description said we would. Useless skill, go on LinkedIn ask any engineer if they're designing purely on paper. Unless you're in the 1950s no company hand drafts. Super frustrating cause he said we would use software later but never did.
Took this before transferring to a UC. Did not prepare me for upper div engineering at all. You'll learn simple statics, 3d or 2d structure. Nothing on shear/moment diagrams, stress/strain, or truss analysis. I struggled a lot in my first structural analysis course because of the lack of a proper statics knowledge. Take this class somewhere else!!!
Outside of his (near) constant bringing-up of politics, he's a great professor. He definitely cares for his students despite his tough-as-rock exterior. As long as you put in your work outside of class when it comes to your group projects, you should be able to pass with manageable difficulty.
Unprofessional
Spends majority of class making crass jokes and talking about politics. Little actual lecturing, even when he does it he expects that you already know it. Learned more with youtube videos. He writes his own reviews too. Overall despicable behavior from someone who is supposed to be a teacher.
He's a pretty good instructor and throws in some funny jokes. The intro/icebreaker feels a bit like an interview. He expects participation and doesn't like hearing "I don't know" as an answer. Some students get offended when asks simple questions they can't answer.
Had Prof Davidian for advisement sessions, not a course, & he actually helps. Encourages real learning over rushing to transfer. Makes you think critically, which some clearly don't like. Sounds like certain counselors are salty he's not pushing the 'AA and go transfer' agenda. 😭
Best professor for engineering if you can handle his jokes. He genuinely cares about your career in engineering and will push you to finish an AA before transferring. He prioritizes getting his students some internships rather than studying by the book. He is definitely one of a kind. If you push through, he will be one of the best professors!
This profes
Professor Davidian's Drafting class was one sure of an experience! He pushed us to new heights, and highly promotes collaboration for peers. He has a tough love attitude for his students, he truly believes in his students but the work is tough, don't slack off.
Don't let the 5 star reviews influence you to take this professor. This man is actually hilariously and ironically one of the WORST professors I have ever had. Makes the whole class about himself and try's to make it like a job. Biggest waste of time in terms of what you want out of a class. He will just humiliate you and think it's helpful.
Better as an inspirational speaker because every lecture felt like a TED Talk. He (mostly) wants all of his students to pass and can be more lenient than other professors. He can also be funny, but you will be picked on. Don't take his classes if you are particularly sensitive or don't like people in your face, because he will get up in your grill.
Highly disorganized. Lectures often veer into irrelevant rants and feel improvised. Expect inconsistent start times and random due dates. He prioritizes obsolete hand-drafting over modern design principles. While he pushes for perfection, he rewards hard effort. But the lack of structure is a major hurdle; I wish he were more professional.
