He's rude. Waste class time. Says UMMMM too much. Tries to answer questions before the person can finish them. Writes everything WORD FOR WORD. I hate him. 4 hour long tests. Horrible.

Worst math teacher ever, someone asks him a question to prepare for a test and he says, "no, moving on" Put the class down because the class avg. was 56 cause he cannot teach, do NOT take his class, he writes down EVERYTHING he says.

This was the worst math professor i've ever had. he was lazy, and didnt give examples in class. instead, he'd sit at an overhead projector and just write paragraphs, and expect us to decipher them. do not take this class with this teacher

Didn't teach me much, had to learn it on my own, but let's you use book and notes on tests that average 5 to 6 hours long cause you have unlimited time, which you end up using asking yourself, "Where did this come from?"

I could say a few things that would be deleted. This was the worst class ever. Just sign up for the class and teach yourself. Go to help sessions with TA's and do the OWLs. He is apparently very smart, but can't teach the stuff. His lectures are a waste of time.

hes so boring i cant stand to listen to him for even the lousy 50 minute classes. he writes everything down which makes taking notes impossible and doesnt make any sense. i suggest making friends with some math major and studying with them.

This guy is one of the worst teachers i ever had. He doesnt know how to teach, writes notes 'word for word', and does not at all teach. I say unless you know the subject matter before taking his class, or you're good at teaching yourself, don't take it because you really won't learn anything.

He is the worst teacher i have ever had. He makes things more complicated than they are and you end up having to teach yourself all of the material from class.

what a horrible teacher. He explains things unclearly and seems to look down upon the class. He likes to write down a bunch of nonsense in his illegible handwriting and not actually explain any of it. He also says "uuuuh...." alot.

this teacher is very bad.... i dont recommend going to class, you teach yourself and you have to take advantage of the tutors and friends from class to get together and learn the material.

This teacher sucks. All of the bad things mentioned about this dude are true. You can skip all the lectures and teach yourself the material and will be set for the tests. Just attend the review sessions they are helpful, but this professor makes it very hard to get out of bed in the morning. I do not recommend this prof.

Rudvalis is AWFUL. Listening to him is a complete waste of time. And he's really gross. I don't think he should be teaching. No one should have to be around Rudvalis at 9 in the morning.

No point in going to class. The way he writes notes, he should be an english teacher. He doesnt give notes like a math teacher should... its all in words and PAGES long. The only good thing is he lets u have cheat sheets for each exam and opens the owls before each exam too. But I would definately recommend taking it with another teacher.

He is by far the worst teacher anyone could ever have. He does not teach you anything, he is the most unhelpful teacher and he is the head of the department. I would never ever recommend this teacher, he should replaced ASAP.

i used to love math. i was really good at it.....but then i took this class...he writes down EVERY word he says and the class does absolutely nothing. I don't go to class at all anymore because if i do i just do sudoku or fall asleep...there is just no use anymore i would rather sleep an extra hour than go all across campus to the worst class ever!

I went to his classes three times and then I looked up Calden's sections on spire and starting attending hers. She's much MUCH MUCH better.

He is a horrible professor. No joke here! I've yet to rate a professor, but I jus thought I should help others out, seeing that I was so oblivious and ended up taking this guy's class. He even decided to make the second exam way difficult because hes a **** and felt that the exam grades for the first exam were too high.

AWFUL PROFESSOR. Do not take his class!!!!!!!! If you have to, then sign up for it on SPIRE but just go to another math 127 class because you will probably become dumber from sitting through his lectures.

guy plops his butt into a chair and writes long winded notes on an overhead all class long, the whole time speaking in this boring monotone. He writes out EVERYTHING he says as in "next... we will be discussing... the use... of the derivative". I completely stopped going to his class, and now sit in on other lectures and use the book.

I went to his class until I bombed the first exam then I went to Calden's class. Rudvalis is so incredibly confusing. I feel bad for him because people can be very rude..but honestly, he is a horrific teacher. Definitely take Calden's class, she is amazing and you'll love her class. Books are not necessary for either class, they're a waste of money

If you're strategy in this class is to go to lecture, take notes, and listen to what this guy has to say, you might as well put your head in between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye in this class.

Never take this class with this professor. If you can't get a different section professor, wait until you can fit it into your schedule even if it's next semester. He writes down every word he says aloud, he doesn't make the material clear at all and doesn't explain answers or how to approach a problem. He expects you to know everything already.

He derives every equation, never giving any examples. Sit in on Professor Calden's classes, you'll Ace the class. His classes are unbearable.

He is an awful teacher, going to class is pretty much pointless because you come out knowing absolutely NOTHING! Class would be semi easy if you have a good teacher but wth him getting an A is very hard.

He is dull and writes novels for us to copy into our notebooks. Don't put this class on ur schedule. U'll need to take Adena Calden's class. She'sa lot younger and laid back and is more helpful. Gives u tricks and tips to make things easier. I got an F w/ him.. had to retake it and got a B w/ Calden. P.S. I highly advise getting the TI89 Calculator

If you get into a class with this man as the pofessor, drop it immediately and sign up with a different instructor, or just go to the other instructor's lectures since all of the exams are together anyways. This is a horrible class.

This is by far the worst professor I've ever had!! My high school teacher could teach better than this guy! Homeworks have nothing to do with what we do in lecture and he has no idea what he's doing! His exams are impossible to pass! If you have him, switch out if you know what's good for you! I learned this the hard way.

If you signed up with this teacher, do urself a favor and DROP IT while you have the chance! I even had to file a complaint with the head of the math dptmnt over this guy!

It's really too bad: the professor seems like a cool enough guy, but he's just a horrible teacher. I did well in this class, but only thanks to the online homeworks and the textbook. Lectures are boring and confusing, exams are impossible. So be ready to basically teach yourself math.

One of the most arrogant, oblivious teachers I have ever known. He wrote a paragraph long example in WORDS then erased it 1 minute after. We all look at eachother everyday and LAUGH at this teacher to how bad he is. A student did not know how to integrate term by term and he says," Why couldn't you just do that?!" in fron of a class of 50. Bad guy.

Terrible teacher. Tough to ask questions when he shoves it in your face that your a moron.The only way i passed the class was by going to the calc help center. If you get him as an instructor i highly advise you to switch. Professor McGibbon is a much better teacher of Calc 2

Terrible Teacher. Decides to teach the last section first just for fun. The only way to keep afloat in this class is to attend another class with a real teacher. The only helpful thing he does is let you use your notes on the tests

Thinks he knows what he is teaching but in reality the students don't get it and he gets frustrated and complain about them not "listening". Makes impossible exams even after failing to teach his class properly. Avoid him at all costs!

I strongly recommend avoiding taking a class with this professor. Exams are very long and difficult (hand written by him). Had a 3 and a half hour midterm on a Sunday. Notes in class are an absolute mess. Tough to get notes because he stands in front of what he is writing.

Horrible teacher, has terrible handwriting, is always late to class, doesn't know how to use the homework website. Teaches the wrong material so don't be surprised if when you take an exam you don't recognize any of the material.

If you don't already know the stuff, you're screwed. Try teaching yourself from the book or going to the SI sessions. If you already know the stuff, don't bother going to class.

He stands in front of the work he does on the board so you can't see until he moves onto another problem. He has no clue what is going on, ever. The only way I'm passing right now is because i went to the midterm reviews and tutoring sessions.

Never bought the textbook, homework is online. Horrible handwriting, difficult to understand, review sessions are useless, unless you go to the SI tutor's reviews. Going to discussion also helped. Midterms are brutal, except the symbolics test, which was a breeze. More of a self-taught class.

This guy is awful. You don't have to go to class because the stuff he teaches in class are not on the tests. You have to teach yourself everything. Go to the TA sessions because no one can understand this man. Awful teacher

He seems like a good mathematician which is probably wh he has the job, but he is terrible as a teacher. He is hard to hear even in the front, hard to understand if you can hear him. He takes no care in helping you. If you ask for help he averts the effort of helping you by trying to give you such a confusing answer that you stress and give up.

He is completely rude to his students. Makes comments that "he is disappointed" in the grades, and "if you received below a certain grade don't bother showing up for the test, send someone else". Frequently say's "If you don't like it, I don't care". Lectures are CONFUSING! Book he authored IS HORRIBLE (so many mistakes). AVOID!!
