The class and professor was overall very good. Very easy going and grades fairly. The only thing I could ask more of was maybe more communication to the overall class, but for it being an online course it was pretty understandable. Would definitely take this course and have this professor again.

This professor is outstanding at teaching, I learned many things from him. Even though I did not finish schoolwork, he gave us the opportunity to do the work even if we turned it in late. He is very attentive, he listens to you and is a very friendly person.

For it being my first sociology class as well as being online, I thought this would be hard. But once I read through the syllabus and started actually doing the work, I realized that it was not bad at all. This is a very independent class, you do most of the work by yourself but at least the professor gives you a detailed instruction of what you have to do. Also theres quite a bit of reading and writing.

This class made sociology easy to learn. The textbook was online and free, which made the course material much more easily accessible. As this was an online asynchronous course, there was a lot of DQ and quizzes but wasn't too difficult to get through. The instructor was also readily accessible and helpful when needed.

I took this course online during the 8 week summer semester. It's a lot of reading & quizzes, but each chapter only takes about 30 minutes. You have only a few other assignments. The workload is totally manageable & Profesor Tamang is awesome. Would definitely recommend.

The teacher mostly does a power point lecture and a few discussion question in class. We also have a 10 question test for each unit we learn about. There are also a few discussion question assignments you need to write about online and submit. Lastly extra credit is provided all the time and dose not hurt your grade at all.

Asha made the material he was explaining very clear. There were rarely clarifying questions and if there were they usually led to a great discussion of the class. Asha was able to keep the class engaged well. One time students got into an argument and he used it as an example in the lesson which I thought was super clever and was a good talk.

He makes lots of updates so you feel supported though your journey and is willing to help you if you are struggling with anything. Mr. Lal simplified and made learning enjoyable. They constantly explained topics with examples from real life, which made it easier for me to understand how sociology impacts our daily lives. Mr. Asha gave a really engaging class, and I learned a lot.

Dr. Tamang is a very knowledgeable professor who is willing to work with students to help them achieve the best they can do in the class. My only issue during the class was some confusion with due dates at the start. Dr Tamang help clear those up for me and allowed me to submit anyway. I would take another of his classes if it fit in my schedule.

Dr. Tamang was a great professor, his lectures were well thought out and helped me understand the topics. Just know that you are expected to have read the chapter first prior to attending the lecture and be prepared to the quiz chapters in class or right after class.

Everything was great except the timing of the lecture. A three-hour lecture after 6 was a little too much for me, but other than that, you will enjoy it.

I did take this class an an online course, so lectures weren't included, and it was mainly assignment-based. The instructor responds to emails very quickly and does a great job of answering any question you may have. The assignments were pretty straight forward, simple, and easy to navigate. I think this professor did a decent job of being very clear as to what was expected for the class in the syllabus. The textbook was straightforward and made it easy to follow the homework assignments as well. I did not feel overwhelmed by the amount of readings and assignments that were due at the end of the week as well so that was nice.

Professor Tamang is awesome! I took intro to sociology this semester at normandale and loved it. The entire semester is layed out from start to finish with due dates at the beginning of the semester which is nice to be able to work ahead. The class is mostly made up of discussions and quizzes.

Sent out the weekly modules with all of the resources for the students to work on. Let us work ahead on bonus point assignments to earn extra credit. Weekly 10 question quizzes every week on the textbook. He is very assemble to email and get help from.
