She means well, but her assignments are rough.
Terrible, terrible prof. Worst prof I had at Guelph. She does easy explanations in class and then made the midterm difficult. Very unfair to the class. It's teachers like this who make students detest university.
She totally knows her stuff, but the exams and assignments are BRUTAL. The course material is just an introduction to what you see on the tests, so getting a good mark is all but impossible.
She easily intimidates her students, making us feel inferior. Will ask questions that are beyond our knowledge - unfair.

Poor time management but clear and knowledgable. The final exam was impressive. It was like a 4 hrs exam to be done in 2 hrs. It is the hardest econ exam I have never seen! A lot of mind tricks in writing the exam. Don't expect to fish off a hint from her
Everything is math intead of theory, I would like to learn more theory and not too much math. The lectures were going very fast
It's unbelievable how seemingly naive this lady is. Half the class fails the midterm and she doesn't see how she could have done it. She's clear in explaining stuff, I'll give her that much, but when it comes to setting questions, she relies on the most obscure stuff on the planet!

Lectures dont represent the test questions at all. She's not a very good prof.
This woman is out to screw as many econs majors as she can. I left her class more confused and lost than when I went in. She says that she's trying to teach us to solve the difficult problems, but if we dont understand what to what, how will we ever get the solution? Worst prof in last four years !
TERRIBLE time management, i agree! explains REALLY easy concepts, tests are MUCH harder - don't expect to answer any one question all the way through - no one i know did! nice person tho.

Worst teacher at the University of Guelph. She is out to fail students. Very unfair exams, only take her courses if you have too. She has no respects for students, and unfair teaching practices.

She is useless, what a waist, the ta's couldnt speak english and she doesnt help much, she gives no guidelines whatsoever, i feel sorry if you have sit through a semester with her.
Very tough marker. Expects a lot from students across the board. She usually teaches 3000+ courses and it shows. She is a nice person just demands a lot. Also the midterm material is way harder than anything you deal with in the text or lectures.

assignments take 20 hours each to do, questions are impossible to solve on your own. says she wants us to be able to interpret the questions and solve them on our own to gain understanding. doesn't help when she does very generic lectures on the concepts.
Hardest course I've ever taken, but mainly because she made it hard. The quizzes would have a miserable fail of an average, and she wouldn't realize that you have to test on things you have taught. Nice woman, terrible professor.

She really isn't that bad. At first she was because she thought we had more knowledge of the material than we really did. She tried to give all of us higher grades by cancelling a quiz or two and by raising the grades because the class average was too low. She is very unorganized however and the TA's were a joke.
The most ridiculous course in the world. I feel sorry for the kids in 2nd year who have to deal with her for 2770. A makeup midterm was offered after having been told the midterm results were not good. ECON 3710 was pretty bad with her, but this is 100 times worse. If you want to torture yourself for some sick reason, take this course.
realy easy material but she makes it impossibly hard. the questions shes gives on quizzes and tests are like application to application questions but her lessons are easy and basic. Then you walk into the test/quiz and dont recognize ANYTHING. And if you ask her a straight forward question she'll answer it in riddles and never clearly.HORRIBLE PROF

I've had her for three classes now (2770, 3770, and 3710) and she has been great for all of them. She is the sweetest, most helpful professor ever, and she really knows what she is talking about! Her quizzes and assignments are difficult, but the texts are usually much better. As long as you put some effort into her classes, you'll be fine.
Great prof. Super nice. She sucks for Math Econ but is great for anything else. Ask her about her ****sky t-shirt, it's hilarious!

She is perhaps the worst teacher you will ever have. Not because she tries to fail you, but because she doesn't realize how bad she is when she thinks she is being fair and genuinely trying to help. Avoid at all costs.
she is INCREDIBLY hard, all her quizzes and tests are MUCH harder than what she goes over in class. she is really helpful and is very encouraging when you go to her office hours, but when it comes down to it, she makes her tests soooo hard that her helpful "hints and tips" dont matter...try your best to avoid, otherwise be ready with a tutor

She is honestly the worst prof in the history of teaching. nothing she teaches or says will actually be relevant to what she tests you on DO NOT TAKE HER COURSES also she makes lots of mistakes in her writing and marking i am now dumber for taking this class

This is a hard course, so yes, you do need to go to class and do textbook work and do problems on your own to keep up. If you do you'll be fine. She's very good with answering questions in class. Only issue was that midterm and exam we a bit unfair in terms of the questions asked. Otherwise, she's a nice person.
Seriously avoid this woman. She seems so nice and helpful..then the mid term rolls around and its impossible. Good luck seeing over her afro for examples on the board. Her exams include nothing from class.
if you want to take advanced micro, you better be ready to get mucked. you can work as hard as you can to understand the material, then once the midterms and exam rolls in, you will have no idea what is going on.
I should have read this page before Sign up for her class. She really demands more than 100% of the materials taught. You should be able to understand the basic concepts perfectly and actually have to perform far more when u sit for exam Rate of return on ur time studied was the lowest throughout the uni life. Good teacher but very hard marker
I suspect the problems I had in class were with the textbook. Very nice person. Very clear if you don't fall behind. People's marks were low throughout the semester but I think the final brought most people back up. I managed to do ok in the course despite only writing the final (it was an early class and I am lazy)...
Worse prof in the world, she shouldn't even teach this course. Almost half the class failed the course, midterm and final exam had nothing to do with the course material.
Thankfully I found the textbook answers online, or I would've failed this class. Marking is ridiculous, you have to explain every thought or get 0.
Terrible professor, shouldn't be teaching.
Not helpful, terrible lectures and very disorganized. If I could personally fire her I would. Learned nothing in her class (and I love Economics).

Good professor, hard course and hard exams
In one word? Horrible. The stuff she teaches in the lecture is different from the textbook which is different from the labs which is different from the online quizzes. On top of that the stuff in her lecture is so disorganised and what is taught is different from what you get tested on. Avoid her at all costs.
Definitely one of the worst professors I have ever had, and I have has some bad ones. Her lectures are disorganized as she is always making mistakes, which takes up a lot of time when we have to go back through and fix everything. Her midterms and exams do not reflect what she teaches, and are extremely hard. Good luck if you have her
Worst prof I've ever had. Her office looks like a photocopier threw up in there.
Pretty sure everyone failed her exam. 100 times harder than what was taught in class. People were crying after the exam. Only possible saving of your grade was the quizzes but she had no clue what was on them. The TA was good but she gave him no time to prepare for labs. The lab questions, quizzes and lectures were all on different material.
Avoid taking this prof if you can. Her disorganized lectures drive me nuts. She also doesn't give any information on the midterms until a few days before. Our course outline was never edited, she just used the old one with incorrect dates and test weight. Her office is an absolute disaster, Papers everywhere I couldn't even put my backpack down.

This was the most soul sucking class I have ever taken. Lectures, textbook, online assignments and exams were not cohesive. She taught one example over and over with different numbers but when the exams came the questions we 10x harder and she expected us to be able to be able to magically be able to translate what little we did into a good grade.
If you have her for Intermediate Microeconomics, good luck. She is a decent professor when it comes to teaching in class, but her midterms are absolutely brutal. The textbook or internet both did not help me at all for her short answer questions and the class average was 33% for short answer. Whatever was on that midterm was not in the textbook. GG
This professor is not meant to teach, the lectures were hard to follow as she makes a lot of mistakes. She doesn't understand her responsibilities as a professor (i.e. actually posting weekly quizzes on time), the midterms don't reflect the course content well at all and the final, HA what a great way to go out (not). She is the worst prof I've had here. Her lectures are hard to follow, the textbook is overly complicated, and her exams are impossible. The online quizzes were really easy, and no help for preparing for the exam. I had to teach myself all the concepts because she never did. Also, she's rude.

One of the hardest courses Ive ever taken. The textbook and lecture content differed. Weekly online quizzes vary from what was lectured that week. 50% final. No idea how I pulled off 80%
ECON2770 was a joke. No structure to her lectures, she repeatedly would start a question with 5 minutes left in class and then just pick right up with the question two days later. Would spend 30 minutes of class time doing a problem and then after we all frantically wrote it down she would explain its not necessary to know for this course. Terrible
Brutal
Insincere to say the least. Will not accommodate no matter what life altering event happens to you. Has no sympathy for her students and no understanding of being realistic. Believes people should keep quiet and accept their grade than try and get a second chance. No matter how hard you work don't expect higher than a 65.
Spends the entire lecture on 1-2 math problems, most of which have errors. She expects you to be able to solve over 30 math problems in under 2 hours, but in her lectures, she takes an hour and a half to solve 2 easier math problems. The quizzes, homework & exam reviews are mostly concept-based, but the vast majority of the exam is math problems.
ECON 3710 is the most challenging course in MEF, but Sadanand is the best available instructor. Asha makes concepts easier to understand and was always willing to answer questions and provide further explanations. When taken previously with Amegashie, the class had a much more difficult mark breakdown that relied heavily on midterm and final marks.

One of the most horrible professors I have taken. It is a challenging course, and the professor doesn't make it easier for us. The questions solved in class and in the quiz differ from those asked in the exams. This made me unprepared for the exams; honestly, I would avoid this professor.
I enjoyed this course and the teacher. Is this class challenging? I would say no. She is a very forgiving marker on tests. If you show that you know how to solve the problem but mess up on small parts of it you'll be given almost full marks. People complaining on here haven't spent enough time learning the concepts taught in class. Study harder
I though adomait was bad, but damn she proved to be worse. Her final EXAM was no where close to the lecture and mobius examples, much more difficult. Nor does she provide study guidelines, review questions or past exams to study, she provides no help whatsoever. I dont recommend her. RUN.
Confusing course, no in person lecture you have to learn online because your basically forced to go to tutorials cause it's 20% of your grade. Textbook is horrible and it's been a month.
Doesn't teach much.
Asha is a great prof, tries her best to make sure all her students understand her content and she is a fair marker. Very engaging lectures where everyone works together to learn. Participation in class is worth a lot and as long as you practice the questions worked on in class you will do well. She has the best interactive classrooms.
Absolutely sucks. You might think your doing well when you get the lecture material... However that will all be completely useless on the tests as she comes up with questions never seen either in lecture or in the textbook.
Assessments are completely different from what she teaches in class, Won't tell you what will be on the tests and exams as she makes them the day before you do it, super unhelpful when asking questions, Her final exams are impossible.
Her tests are not like what she teaches in class and she is a hard marker. Her lectures are hard to follow and she teaches a lot of content at the same time. Very fast paced and expects you to understand the material quickly. She won't go over questions you have and her homework assignments are difficult as well. Would not take again. Good luck.
This course was a nightmare! There were zero slides or extra resources, and the content was super dense. Professor Sadanand would breeze through topics and leave us hanging, and then bam—the exams were brutal. I poured in like 10 hours a week and still felt lost.

Class average is currently a 40% after the midterm... we have lost 1/3 of the class so far, but probably more soon... if you want high enough grades to get into a masters program DO NOT take advanced micro with this prof, as no one is sitting above an 80
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, at least with Sadanand. Absolute worst prof I have ever had. Not enough time for tests. Class way too fast. Posts almost no material. Refused to give any practice problems. Graded extremely hard. Everyone I talked to in this class dropped. This class is not designed for students to pass. test avgs below 40 consistently.
Worst prof I have ever seen. Had to drop the course, she is absolutely insane. she teaches you content in class, very fast, no lectures or notes online, she doesn't use a textbook so thats useless. DO NOT take her. I took ECON2710 with her and failed. Retook it and got a 93%. Just trust me, if you need a credit take it online at another uni..trust.
I am so disappointed in the quality at which this class was taught. I think she made the final purposely almost impossible to pass. Her lectures scratch the surface of test concepts, and the textbook uses different terminology and methods. No practice questions. No explanation on how to solve questions and no resources are provided.
This class's material is very hard but she provides you with everything you need to do well. She's very helpful and caring especially in office hours. As long as you ask questions and try hard you can do well.
