This professor has a great way of teaching for those who have a busy lifestyle. I appreciate the freedom in the class and how organized the D2L page is. The class is not very hard, for me personally, but it is a fun class to take. I loved the discussions because you got to see how other students view the same things as you.

Taking sociology with Tamang was great. I learned valuable material, and he connected the content to real-life examples. He's very caring and makes sure everyone can succeed in his class. Very easy class, almost too easy. Lectures can be slow and there is not much structure in class for the participation you are asked to do. Attendance not required but should be since nobody shows up for classes past the halfway mark so in class participation is kinda worthless. Nice Prof though, very understanding and kind.

Asha is extremely kind, knowledgeable on the subject, and is always willing to help, and even talk about stuff after class, even if it has nothing to do with class material. I would definitely recommend him to other students, definitely makes the uncomfortable topics far more bearable and even fun.

Prof Asha Tamang is one of the most understanding and chill instructors I've ever had. He actually wants you to succeed. The class is super manageable you only have weekly assessments (no crazy midterms or finals), He lets you turn in late assignments without penalizing you. Professor Tamang is a good professor, made the class very easy to understand and follow along. I didn't use his office hours at all but I do know he is very helpful and caring toward his students. One minor thing that made lectures kinda hard was the accent which he can't help. Other than that the class was very easy to learn and understand.

Professor Tamang is incredibly understanding and truly wants all of his students to earn the highest grade. He has lots of extra credit opportunities, and two 10-question quizzes based on chapter lectures covered for the week. The modules are available in advance for those who choose to advance, and he truly makes this a wonderful class.

I really liked this professor. He was very flexible when it came to good reasons why assignments were not done. He would give class lectures and tried to get class participation. I enjoy Asha Tamang's class I took at Normandale this semester. It was a hybrid course on Tuesday evenings. Lectures were very easy to follow along with. He is a very nice teacher and answers emails fast. Would definitely take his course again!

He is Amazing

Mr. Tamang is very easy-going; he tends to talk a lot, but he tries to get students to participate in lectures to make it more engaging. He graded me fairly in my opinion. I had classmates that missed a few lessons but were still able to get back on track fairly quickly. He has an accent that may be hard to understand for some. 8/10

There is a lot of slideshows and talking at you in the class, however there is time made for some group discussions on some of the discussed topics. Pretty much everything is on D2L and I never had trouble getting in contact or any issue with the assignments. If you just stay on task the class is a nice breather in your schedule.

Class was an hour and 20 minutes once a week, it was lectures every class which is normal but there was no other engaging activities. Made it hard to sit still sometimes but otherwise he was a great professor!

I enjoyed this teacher and he was good at having online stuff very clear on what needed to get done, how, and when. The class I took was hyrbid, so online and in class once a week. It was an easy course to follow as long as you pay attention during the lectures in class. He did 2 quizes a week, sometimes a discussion and some homework.
