Easiest class ever. If you do your work on time and show up to class, you will get an A easily. All he does is lecture from the book. There are zero tests. Only one major project and that is it, just a bunch of small easy homeworks. He is a caring guy and will listen to you!

Asha is a really great professor. He makes everything really clear and his gradings are really easy. He is always respectful to his students replies to students concern or questions immediately. He will always reply back to students email no more than 1-2 days.

If you show up to class listen and read the chapters you will be just fine. I absolutely loved having him as a professor. There are no big test just a few papers though out. I highly recommend taking him. His lectures are very understanding but he also brings what is going on in the world to his lectures so you are able to relate to it.

I really liked my professor as he was easy to talk to whether it was a question about grades or specific assignments. The only thing that I would recommend would be to get the class more involved in the lectures so it isn't just the professor talking all class. I enjoyed this class and I understood more about the sociology perspective than before.

You can pass the class if you do assigs, this class/instructor was such an easy A class also the instructor responds back to your needs quilcky and helps you whenever you need it.

Dr. Asha Tamang was a great instructor. He is a caring professor and always wants to know how his students are doing every morning. I always get this peaceful and wise energy from him. Attendance is important so make sure you dont be absent a lot. Otherwise he is an easy going and understanding person. Theres extra credit if you do online homework and attend all class sessions.

Great professor who cares about his work and students. The class does have a decent amount of work but not to the point where it's overloading and overwhelming. He gives you plenty of time to do the work and will work with you to make sure you understand the contents clearly. Highly recommend taking this or another course with him!

Overall he is not a bad teacher, the chapter quizzes aren't hard there is quite a few more assignments than other classes I have taken, no final test just papers. The only downside is that his English isn't always the greatest and sometimes he has trouble understanding our questions during lectures.

It was worth taking his Sociology class. His lectures are great and informative. Assignments are well laid out. He goes over them very well. Attendance does matter as it will only help you (perfect attendance gives you 100 points extra credit).

Asha Tamang is really caring about his students! He will reply quickly and always offers to help if you need it! He gives us quizzes but we can retake them up to 3 times! If you show up and stay on top of assignments there is no way you will do bad! For clarification ask him and he will make you sure you understand! Great teacher overall!

The class is very straight-foreword to pass. The in-class lectures are helpful because Prof. Tamang gives overviews of each chapter before the next assignment or before quizzes are due. Extra credit is given to students who have turned in every assignment and completed every quiz. The only downside is that there are so many papers to write.

Dr. asha Tamang is a solid professor. definitely ask questions when you don't understand something. His class is pretty easy. Do the work, put effort into it and get a good grade. He understands that not everyone is at the same academic level, and therefore grades your essays based on your own improvement, which i appreciate.

Overall this class is okay, I would not take this class again and that has nothing to do with Prof. Tamang. Prof. Tamang is easy to reach and makes himself accessible. I was not fond of the "Contract" he makes you do as it asks for some rather personal information. Other than that, attend class and do the work, you'll be fine.

Professor Asha Tamang gives you the chance to interact with other students in class by enforcing group participation during lectures. He will post the slides with the notes on D2L for you to go over after a lecture if you missed it. He also encourages that you discuss any outside restrictions to school that you may have to ensure success.

This is my first course in college and I think that Dr. Asha Tamang is a great professor to ease you into the college atmosphere. He is very cooperative with assignments and attendance (if known in advance). When he lectures he is respectable of peoples opinions and answers all questions relevant to the subject being taught.

Overall a very simple class. The syllabus is straightforward and easy to follow. Most assignments were easy, but they took a bit extra effort and time to complete. The book required was interactive and helpful in studying if you needed extra practice. He seemed to be very flexible and understanding, although I wish he gave more assignment feedback.

This class was very manageable and Prof. Tamang has fair expectations. The homework is easy if you read the articles and watch the videos provided. There weren't any tests or quizzes except for the final for which you get multiple attempts and plenty of time to complete. I enjoyed the textbook and the assignments were interesting!

I took an asynchronous class and it was very easy class, all or the assignments are posted upfront so easy to work ahead. Multiple extra credit options to help boost your grade as well. Overall would recommend and would take this professor again.

I'm taking section SOC 1110-57 Introduction to Sociology- Late Start Date. I was very worried about how I would do in this class when I first started because of all the reading, quizzes, discussion, and other assignments, but while going through with it and almost done I can say that if you put a lot of effort and time into this class you can pass.

I used to be very nervous because I think sociology is a broad and difficult subject to grasp. However, the assignments he gave had many topics for me to choose from. He will respond to your email quickly. Also, he gives extra points if you do extra assignments. If you study hard, you will get what you deserve. He is a great professor!

Asha was one of my favorite professors on campus, he's is lenient with grading, understanding of personal situations, has interesting and meaningful lectures and he offers lots of extra credit.

I definitely recommend taking the course. Yes it is fast paced since it is a late start course you'll adapt. Make sure to organize the deadlines so you won't miss them!! There up to three quizzes and one assignment due weekly make sure to make time for studying. The quizzes aren't hard at all it is everything we learned in the website he gives us.

He's really patient with you, and he's also really generous with late work, you can still turn it in late and still get points for it. His feedback on your work is also constructive. Something that I guess I didn't like is that there were quizzes every week, so you would have to read 1-3 chapters a week, depending on what module you're on.

When I took this class I thought it was going to be hard, but after I started working on the discussions and assignments I realized that it wasn't hard at all. All the assignments came with clear instructions and it doesn't much of your time. Only thing I recommend is that you stay focus while doing your homework, it'll help out a lot!!!!

This class was very easy going. It was graded out of a lot of points which already helps getting a decent grade. There is tons of extra credit point on top of that. Good diversity of assignments, aside from weekly quizzes. Only things to watch out for are some unclear assignment instructions and a decent amount of reading.

So far I am really enjoying Asha's class. The lectures get right to the point and all of the power points are posted so you can follow along. The lectures are not boring as they are broken up by discussions, surveys, and stories. Tough grader but gives good and clear feedback. Many opportunities for extra credit.

very easy to get in contact with

This professor is really easy to get in contact with and is very fast with his replays. Overall I would say this class is pretty doable.

He seemed pretty strict at first but throughout the course he showed that he cared for his student's mental health.

Dr. Tamang is a great professor. When emailed, he replies back in a timely manner. At first, I believed this course would be diffucult to pass but Dr. Tamang gives a lot of helpful feedback and many opportunities for extra credit. You can tell he cares about his students and considers their personal schedules as well.

Tamang is a great professor. Tamang consistently provides constructive and great feedback on assignments.He is very flexible regarding late submissions. He is very clear with grading and assignments in the syllabus. Answers email quickly. He gives bonus assignments which are extra credit so I would 100% recommend.

He is a fair and patient grader. I enjoyed learning from this class.

Professor Tamang is very soft spoken but has a lot of knowledge to bring to his lectures. I enjoyed attending in person lectures and felt very supported by him in my class progress.This course does require a lot of interacting and socializing, so if you are shy or introverted just be prepared to participate in conversations.

Overall a good understanding professor. The assignments were clear and concise with clear grading criteria. Lots of quizzes but overall they were easy to study for and relevant to what we learned. The workload wasnt bad either, almost everything was due on Saturday nights.

Good professor, class was taught well, somewhat decent amount of busy work but majority of it is completable before the semester begins.

He is very dynamic and has a good structure in his teaching style with a clear explanation. Professor Tamang provides a very clear syllabus that allows to manage your work as well as your time. Although assignments can get confusing when it comes to when they are due, Professor Tamang makes sure you are aware of the due dates through class announcements.

Work was very straightforward and low-stress. A lot of busy work, but it is helpful. The professor was super caring and understanding.

Everything is laid out for you at the begging of the semester. It is really easy to figure out what is due each week. Course load is not too much just expect around 10 hours a week for course work and studying. Easy to reach outside of class and responds within 24 hours.

He is a good teacher and this course allows for ample learning of sociology. His modules are easy to follow and the quizzes aren't too difficult. The discussions are not too much, but they allow for communication among your peers. I recommend him!!!

Asha Tamang's course that I took was Sociology which was asynchronous. His class was very clear and understandable of what was expected from students. The online class was very straightforward and it's not too much homework just 15 question tests like every 1-2 weeks. There is a bunch of extra credit assignments you can choose to do as well.
