Mass media was amazing. Ashleigh made everything easy to learn. Some how she made people look forward to coming to her class on test days. If she taught more classes, I'd take everyone and recommend her class to e ermine who needs or want to take it. Ashleigh's Awesome!

A$ is a really gifted teacher. She really goes the extra mile for her students. She is organized and her lectures are engaging. Assignments are graded almost as quickly as they are turned in. Emails are responded to in the same day. You could not ask for more out of a teacher.

Ashleigh is an amazing teacher. She tried so hard to make the class as fun and interesting as possible. You do have to right a couple of essays but they are never hard and easy to get 100% on. You don't have a final, only a midterm of all true or false that you get to do with a partner. This was an amazing class that taught me a lot. Take her!

I was so sure I'd fail this class. I HATE talking in front of people, but Ashleigh was very encouraging. She truly helped my confidence. She answered my emails promptly and practiced my speeches with me outside of class. She's an excellent instructor, who wants you to do well. Took COMM 1111 with Ashleigh and it was the easiest class i've ever had. Really chill and not a lot of homework, basically not at all. Great professor. Definitely recommend taking Communication class with her, you wont regret it!!

She is a fantastic professor that gets students involved and makes every class period fun! A lot of the work is participation besides a few assignments, so just going to class will earn credit. Her papers aren't too challenging either.

First year of college and she made her class welcoming. I took her for fall and spring semester. Fall-Interpersonal Communications and Spring-Understanding Mass Media. She made class fun and everyone got to know each other. I always looked forward to her classes. If there's an opportunity to take her class, there's no doubt that I would!

Took this over the summer. Intense, but worth it. Interesting assignments that let you use your brain and opinions as opposed to regurgitating info. Def recommend!

She expects you to put in the work for her classes, but she's kind, helpful, and the assignments aren't too difficult if you invest the time and effort into them. I recently finished up my online class. Ashleigh was one of my favorite professors. When you read her syllabus youll think that shes strict and scary, which isnt true. Shes kind, caring and funny! The assignments she gave us were engaging and understandable. I would take her class again.

Ashliegh also spent alot of time outside of her office hours and class time helping me to write and practice my speeches. That isnt something that most teachers would do. I felt that she really cared about me and my success.

Great professor!! She uses powerpoint lectures, but she made them interesting! The homework wasn't hard, just a few essays (which were easy) and 5 question quizzes (also easy) after class. There were also some fun group activities throughout the semester, and she gave out candy, at times. She's very funny, and super nice!! Would recommend!!

She is literally the bomb, can relate to us and is soooo nice. Gives out candy, and lets us out early, even cancels the class if we don't need it. (Group project time)

Shelton is a kind prof. This class was extremely easy and had little work, one assignment per week, very manageable. The topics are fairly interesting, although some of the readings are lengthy.

I took this class online and never got to meet Ashleigh, but I know if I did I would've loved her! She has high expectations, but is super clear about them up front and gives clear instructions. Just one assignment a week, with lots of reading, but you can usually push your way through the assignment without too much trouble.

Ashleigh genuinely seems like she cares about you and your work. She gives such good feedback and you can tell she is reading it. She also gives extra credit on a few assignments. The only thing is that her assignments are very long and you have to take time for them. She also gives only 20 minutes to do tests, which can be very stressful.

Amazing class! She's a super down-to-earth professor who cares about the material. In this class she alternated between tests, discussions, and papers for each week about the material so you aren't stuck writing essay after essay or doing an excessive amount of reading. Would recommend!

One of the best professors I've had, very empathetic, kind, responds to your emails and grades your work very quick. Although it was hard doing this class online with covid and everything she was very aware of students mental health and only one weekly assignment, test or discussion post. Learned a lot in this class. Would definitely take again.

My FAVORITE teacher so far. Expectations were so clear, great feedback on all assignments, relatable, and understanding. Had about one assignment per week but was a 3 credit class. Rotated types of material so there was no repetition. I would recommend her to any student looking to take a comm class, she is one of the best teachers at this school!!

Professor Shelton was an amazing professor overall. Her assignments were meaningful to the class, not busy work just to make you do something. There was something sue every week that changed between discussions, quizzes, and short papers. If you read the module posted for the week, you will get an A; her instructions are straightforward.

She's honestly my favorite teacher! We usually had a lot of writing assignments but she tells you exactly what you need to have in it and if you have that you're most likely going to get an A on it! I literally got a 100.83 as my final grade in the course and I was SURPRISED. As long as you do your assignments you will be fine!!

If you do the work you'll have no problems. Very fair and clear on expectations. While taking this class as a summer course she was quick to answer any of my questions as well as work with me when I was dealing with some personal issues. Lots of writing, but manageable. Would take her again!

This was a pretty simple summer course. Professor Shelton is a solid professor, but she has very strict guidelines and expectations. It was a little too harsh for a summer course. But overall the class was fine, just not my favorite, and I probably wouldn't take it again.

I took her for both mass com and interpersonal com because I personally love her teaching style. Complete your stuff on time and put honest effort into the class.

TAKE THE CLASS! I took Mass Media and she is by far one of my fav profs so far. You have a full week to do your homework for the week and there is extra credit. No mid-terms or and final tests. As long as you turn in your work and follow the directions you will get an A. EASY!

I loved having her as a professor, she was easy to reach and was so nice and caring. We only had one assignment due each week and it was either a discussion post, quiz, or short essay. She made the class fun and enjoyable even when only being an online class.

Great class. She gives lots of writing assignments but grades them on clear cut easy to understand directions. She cares about social issues and her students. The topics of the assignments are sometimes controversial, but extremely relevant. I wish she was teaching Group Com in the fall

I took the intro to communication online asynchronous class. I really enjoyed this professor! She's a really fair grader. She also grades things super quickly! One thing to note is that no late work is accepted, but the work was very manageable. This class had a mix of tests, papers, and discussions along with a presentation for the final.

This class was easy and I learned a lot from it. It was manageable with one assignment per week paired with the textbook chapter reading & short video. It would alternate every week from an individual post, to a discussion, to an open textbook quiz. This class was very manageable and Professor Shelton gives great feedback. I recommend this class!

This is my second time taking her classes she cares about her students so much and is willing to help you with the material she also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities!!

Ashleigh was a great teacher. She's an incredibly fast grader (we're talking less than two hours!) and very accessible out of class. She's an easy grader too. It's obvious she's liberal, but even though I have a different worldview she promoted discussion and didn't grade me harshly because of it. Expectations are very clear. 10/10.

One of the easiest courses I have taken. There are 3 recaps which are like projects, each took about 2 hours each, and a final project that takes a bit longer. If you correctly follow instructions this class is easy.

She is a very easy grader. Her class is very light, and I was able to finish it early. She gives decent feedback on assignments and emails you if you have anything missing instead of grading it immediately.

There are 3 big assignments, each one she gives you a month to do. Then there's the final. She grades super quick and her response time for emails, even on weekends, is super fast. She gives good feedback and offers a LOT of extra credit.

Prof. Ashleigh was super sweet and her class was very interesting! We had a textbook chapter to read every week, a fun recap assignment after every 3 chapters, and a very intriguing final project that covered all the chapters in an unconventional way. There's lots of readings but the 4 assignments are super easy and she's not a tough grader.

Fun and easy class, you essentially do 1 big project a month (3 total) + 1 final exam project. Easy A if you put effort in, reference the readings, and follow instructions. I never had to reach her by email but she's a total sweetheart, she gave weekly reminders to reach out if needed. You can work ahead & each project only took a couple days each

Take any of her classes if you like the do at your own pace structure with due dates. 4 assignments to turn in for the mass media class. Also, if you turn in your assignment early you have a chance for extra credit points which you won't need if you just do your work. I wish all online professors used her structure as a guideline for classes.
