By far the best instructor I have had in my two years at SIUE. Makes time to help students both during class and outside of class with extra tutoring sessions. She's helpful, friendly, and knows what she's talking about. If you can take Ashley, DO IT!

I really didn't like biology before I took this class. Ashely totally changed my mind. She taught in a very understanding way and was willing to help everyone as much as she could. I highly recommend taking A&P with her if you have the option.

Ashley is such a great teacher. She goes over slides everyday and explains everything very well. Her tests are kind of tough, but when she goes over the notes she tells you things to definitely know for the test. If you study you'll be able to pass easily. She's awesome.

I have had an awful experience with the science department at SIUE and this teacher is the reason I did not transfer. Take her class!!

Jabs was an AMAZING teacher. Took a huge amount of tough material and make it doable and enjoyable. Very quick paced, but that's to be expected with the amount of material that needs to be covered! She was funny, quirky, and intelligent, and she was very open to questions and comments. LOVED her.

She's super hard, but you learn SO MUCH. Reading the book doesn't help much, just stick to her notes, and make sure you grasp the WHOLE concept, DON'T WORRY ABOUT SMALL DETAILS. Her final is super easy, too! I recommend her, she's very nice and funny! Although hard, she is approachable and encourages you!

Jabs is one of the best teachers you could possibly take for Anatomy. She is very passionate about what she does and makes the information fun and clear to understand. She is always available to discuss difficult sections in office hours. She puts all of her notes on BB. Print out and bring to class to fill out. So much easier to study that way. :)

I learned so much more in this class than I ever anticipated. she made it fun and made us feel like she genially cared. she is def challenging but made it so worth doing all the work. her random uplifting emails were always the best too!! such a smart and kind individual. HIGHLY recommend her, she'll change your way of thinking.

she is a really nice teacher and is actually funny. i like how she sometimes incorporates videos in her class.I dont want to say she is a hard professor its just the class is hard. i took her for bio 140 and got a C . i am in her A&P class now and i will be lucky to get a C. However, she is a very fair professor. Just study every NIGHT

I received a B in the class because I slacked on the final. So an A is definitely attainable. Professor Jabs is a VERY likable professor. However, her tests are ridiculous. Is the answer A, B, A&B, B&C, All of the Above, None of the above. You have to know this stuff 100% or you're screwed. My problem was that her notes were very convoluted and the test questions were extremely tricky. Take this course at a community college and transfer it

Her class isn't easy by any means. You have to study your notes every night and take advantage of SI sessions. Jabs will help you and do everything she can to help you understand the information. If you seek help and study you'll pass with an A.

Jabs is honestly the best professor you will ever encounter at this school in my experience. You will never have a teacher that cares as much as she does about passing her class with a good grade. Jabbs feels that because she is a good instructor you will be able to stay on top of her work load so you have to remain focused. I hear she is the best teacher for AP 1. So, you better take her.

Jabs is the best science teacher I have taken so far at siue. I took Dr. Luci Kohn for biol240a the previous semester and failed miserably(because she is a crappy teacher). Retook with jabs the next semester and easily got a B. Never really opened the book, u just need her lecture notes. U will need to study your lab book for the lab section though

I love this professor. Love love love love love. only take her for A&P, not anyone else. She is extremely clear in what she wants, but you're going to have to work for your grade. I love that she has an open door policy for when she's in her office which makes it really easy if you need to speak with her if you can't attend her office hours.

My favorite professor by far! She's nice, funny, and very inspirational. Anatomy is a hard class, so you do have to really study, but she makes everything as clear as she can. She cares A LOT about her students and is very understanding. HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking her!

Jabs could improve her class a bit. For example she offers extra credit but everyone cheats and its really not fair for those that dont. I really wish she would start offering the extra credit as bonus questions on exams, considering its harder to cheat on exams. Also arguing for points might get you some back IF your comfortable doing that.

I like Jabs, but I hate lab. Lab is the hardest part, you will get zero points on practicals for simple misspellings. If it wasn't for misspelled words I'd have a B. Some lab questions are not specific, yet you are expected to give a specific answer. Also, homework due almost every lab and get this. Their only worth 2 points each.

Jabs is awesome!!!! If you don't go to class, don't expect to do well. She will tell you whats important to remember for her exams so you arnt trying to remember EVERY little detail. Gives extra credit opportunities. Never used my book. Study and you will do fine! Sometimes she holds review sessions... GO TO THEM! It will help for exams :)

Great teacher and cares about the students and material that they learn. I was an expecting mom with baby brain and still got the information needed because she made sure you got it. I would definitely take another one of her classes. I didn't do as well as I should have personally but I liked the class overall.
