Doesn't speak clearly. Has too many things going at once. Doesn't teach the class. Reads directly from the lecture slides which comes from the books website. Not willing to help. Snaps at you when you ask questions. Very defensive.
What were they thinking when they hired this lady? Some good advice is to take head phones to class to tune her monotone voice out! Thinks that this is the only class you've got.! TERRIBLE TEACHING SKILLS!
We can all read the powerpoint slides, we don't need her to do that. What a useless prof. Read them yourself, have someone else sign your initials on the attendance sheet. A turkish accent with a southern brawl. NICE...

Boring class, no point in going did not learn a thing
Reads directly from PowerPoint slides. This class was a waste of my time and money.
MGT 268 is a bad class no mater who you have. But MGT 371 with Asli is AWESOME. She cares so much for her students! She's one of the best I've ever had. Her english isn't the greatest - but she reads right off her powerpoints so it makes up for it!
Asli is an awsome professor. I got 100% on the final and over 100% for my final grade. If you are not lazy, you will do great. She has 3 projects that require alot of time, but she doesn't grade hard at all.
At first this class was a beast. Asli realized that we were all having a hard time following her. She took the time to make the class a little more bearable and does care about her students.
She improved alot after she listened the students suggestions for improving the class. She's genuinely concerned about students success.
I think Asli is a great teacher. She knows the material well and is extremely helpful. Exam questions were from the slides. We don't use the book much. easy class so far.

Asii is an awesome lady! 268 is a waste of time, but since we have to take it, might as well be with Asli! She is so helpful and she actually cares about students. She is open to feedback and adjusts her pace and class accordingly.
Class was extremely easy! Multiple choice tests taken directly from the notes, you get class time to work on projects, assignments are word for word definitions, I felt like I was in high school again! If you're looking for a slack class this is it.

I have to give her a good grade, after al, she gives stupid-ass people good grades. Piece-of-cake class.
Asli is a sweetheart and genuinely concerned about her students! Verrrrry easy class, just be sure to get a reliable group for projects. Study the powerpoints and you'll do awesome! :)
This teacher is sooo nice and she really cares about you! All you need to do is show up and do the work and you will get an A. She's really boring but its an easy A so just stick with it! It's worth it!
Asli is a good time. You want to pad your grade point...this is the class to do it. Prof is interested and involved, somewhat monotone, pleasant, and always smells so nice..... RECOMMENDED bring a magazine.
This class couldnt get any easier. As long as you do the in class group projects (which are easy) half your grade will be a 100%. Then for the midterm and final just study the powerpoints and you'll do fine...no need to read the book.
Professor Asli is one of the best professors ive had at GV. She sincerly cares about each student and his success in her class. A definate take!!!
She's the only teacher I've had that has genuine concern for her students.
Asli is the best teacher I've ever had. She has a few projects that take an hour or so, and her exams are from powerpoint slides. She knows what the student wants, and its fun being in her class. Take her if possible.
DONT BUY THE BOOK! Great teacher, but don't waste the money, everything is from powerpoint!
She is definitely a professor of genuine worth, great smile which matches her sincere demeanor in helping her students. She is a very interesting and intelligent, not stuffy like a lot of PhDs. A MUST TAKE! I mean no insult by stating she is abeautiful
Asli is the best!! Such a kind person and truly concerned you do well in the class. Most of the class is powerpoint, 5 assignments, a midterm and final. Not bad at all! Register for her class ASAP.
Very genuine nice professor...GO TO CLASS and you'll do fine! Don't buy the book!
This is the second class I've taken from Asli. She is truely a great person, both inside and outside the classroom. She covers an amazing ammount of material, some very complicated, with clarity and conviction; and is always available for explaination and discussion. Choose your team well.
I think she might be the most helpful and nicest person here at GV. Book's only for homework. Sooo nice! Take her class. You'll love it!
She is so helpful. She wants all of her students to succeed. I would take her again! Wish that all professors cared as much as she did. If I would have had a different professor, it would have been way more difficult, but bc she cares about her students, it is understandable material. Very Cute too!
Wow, this instructur really knows the material. She seamlessly integrates it into class lecture, assignemtents, and projects. Additionally, her help with grad school interests is amazing. Asli is very passionate about her job, I highly recommend chosing her as your MGT 268 or 371 prof.

Easy class, very very very boring though, good thing there are computers in the class to surf the net. She is very helpful when you go to her office and seems to care about students performance, nice lady and cute too
Asli goes well beyond what is expected of her in terms of helping her students succeed. She is always willing to meet with you and do whatever she can to help you become successful. The class is pretty easy and she really knows her material. Take her...you will be happy you did.
Nice person, bad Prof. Makes the class have no point. Dry subject and even worse lectures
Asli is a really good prof. She really cares about the students and is always willing to give you all the extra help you need. Posts all the lecture powerpoints online, so if you miss class, it's not a problem.
This class was awesome. Asli is a great teacher. She doesn't bore you with lectures. I am in a 6-9 class with her, but have never stayed past 8. Her projects are VERY straightforward and easy!!! Assignments are short as well.
Asli is a great teacher. She is extremely helpful. Very easy assignments and projects can take some time but she will help you along the way. Highly recommended professor. Take her.
Yes, but she is very Boring!
Very good prof. Assignments, projects and exams are all very easy. Take her if you want to get an A and an understanding of MGT 268.
The prof is very nice. I heard you lose a ton of points in her finals. It seems all profs HAVE to keep a certain GPA, like 3.0, for the class. Else they get pulled up by GVSU. So most As turns to B- after finals. I hope I keep my A. She is very helpful, but the classes have no point.
Asli is probably one of the best Management teachers. She is easy to listen to and easy to follow. Study all of the slides she gives you for class and you'll do well on the exams. The final is real easy too so don't worry. I ended up with a B+ in the class, take her, she's awesome.
Asli is great! She is very caring about her students and wants them all to do well in her classes. Shes is readily available for any help you may need, and her classes are primarily power point / lecture. Everything on exams is laid out for you and class projects or assignments have good instruction. I highly recommend her!
She is super nice and is always willing to help you and check your work, even right before it's due. Also props on her style, she is one of the best dressed professors here
Asli is great. Easy class, very helpful, always happy. You must try to take her class so you can truly understand how great she is.
Asli is not that hard to understand, but she does have an accent. The material is easy and so are the tests. The projects are easy as well, but are not that interesting. You can **** your way through this class and still earn an A. I would recommend her.
Asli was a great professor. I would definitely recommend her to anyone taking a mgt 268 class.
Asli is a fine prof i suppose, but this course is a drag. Boring subject matter, computers to distract you, and a mostly incomprehensible prof speaking in a hilariously broken accent. Other than showing up, reading a little, listening, doing a few projects and exams, there is nothing to this course. if you have to take MGT 268, take it with her.
Professor Akbulut is extremely nice and helpful. She always comes to class with a smile. Group projects were a major part of the grade. Projects are easy, but boring. Exams weren't too difficult. I would definitely recommend Professor Akbulut!
great professor
Second time I've taken her. All the classes are powerpoints, taking notes is beneficial but you can get by. Exams are "eh"...never used the book, there's a big group project that takes a lot of work but she is very helpful if you ask questions. She has a handful of assignments, and a lot of extra credit opps. Plus she's pretty hot despite accent...
The class was easy, but the teacher was confusing, honestly I felt like this class was a waste of time, the projects are busy work that makes no sense and are not thought out, the assignments are stupidly easy, the tests are simple, yet hard because there is not enough material. The teacher is hard to understand with her accent.
Easy class, didn't learn a lot. Powerpoints are straight from the book. Group Project is hard and nearly impossible to guess what her expectations are.
She was an okay professor. She calls everyone "friend" and I liked it. She knows SAP and knows MIS very well and if you want to learn a lot I would take her.
Great prof. Easily understood. Group projects are relatively easy. I'm hoping for an A. She tries to involve the class with discussions. Would recommend her! Great prof. Will take her again if opportunity arises.
She left for 2 weeks due to illness so we had to teach ourselves a few chapters. Gave us plenty of in class time for project. Very easy professor but class is almost all powerpoints and can be boring.
Her lectures are fairly boring and she reads right off the slides. Had 3 group projects which were more interesting, overall though if you study for midterm and final not difficult to get an A in the class.
GREAT COLLEAGUE AND I MISS TEACHING AT GVSU AND TALKING TO HER. SHE IS TRULY A GREAT ASSET TO GVSU. NEVER DARED TO ASK HER OUT. ASLI, I WISH YOU WELL AND WILL SOMETIME COME BACK AND STAND BY YOUR DOOR AND TALK. WARMEST REGARDS, DAN
Very caring professor, and perhaps through no fault of her own, the subject matter of this class was not worthwhile. Half the class is lecture and case studies, and the rest is in an IT Lab learning to use SAP. Not useful experience at the masters level IMHO, but perhaps to a new grad going right in for their masters...
She was a great professor and was always willing to help whenever you asked her for projects. Not a lot of busy work and reading was not required. Only five assignments and two exams. Great Professor. Take her
You don't need the book. She's very helpful during projects. Not too much homework. She gives reviews for exams (2). She does send around an attendance sheet at the beginning of class, but the notes and everything are on blackboard.
Nicest lady you will ever meet and loves to help students. However her accent is a little hard to understand but the class is so easy it doesn't matter.
Very helpful Prof, wants to help the students and see you do well. Makes a boring class less annoying.
Really nice and helpful professor. Applied work and not too much homework. Really interesting and helpful class: I advise you!
very helpful and friendly prof. In class presentations aren't the best but class work wasn't demanding and the biggest projects are group work in class. Gives reviews for exams, class wasn't difficult or demanding
need to come to class everyday, her powerpoint presentations are extremely boring, just print off the slides to study for tests. She will put you in groups of 4 &there are 3-4 projects you do together&she helps you w/the whole thing. There are 2 exams (midterm, final). final isn't cumulative. look at the review she gives you & slides, dont get book
Couldn't understand a word she said.
Pretty easy class. She can be a bit difficult to understand at times, however if you ask her for 1-on-1 help she is very helpful and understanding.
The class was very easy, the professor wasn't always easy to understand. Her lectures were very clear and always gave power points on Blackboard. Easy exams and group projects.
My favorite GVSU professor!
Asli's lectures are very monotonous and boring. There are 3 Projects (I think there were supposed to be 4, but we didn't make it through them all) and she guides you through them step by step. The only exams are the midterm and final. As long as you follow "Asli's Notes" and the study guide, you should be fine.
Lectures are long and boring. Many group projects so better hope you have a good group or you may not do very well. Tests are difficult because of the wording of questions and they are hard to study for.
Professor Akbulut is awesome. I loved her, lectures were a tad boring but you're typically in a computer lab so you just pay attention here and there and you'll be fine. Rarely any hw. You do a few group projects, but if you have good members then no worries. She gives great feedback and she's SUPER helpful when you do the group projects in class.
Asli can be difficult to understand at times, but you don't really need to hear her anyways. Two tests, a midterm and final, where if you study her notes and review guide, are fairly easy. She spoon feeds you the three projects, so those aren't a problem. Overall she is a very nice lady who cares about her students and their success.
If you are looking to actually learn something in MGT 268, Asli is not your professor. If you are just looking to get a prof that is easy and can pass without much effort take her. The material is very dry, and she can be difficult to understand sometimes. Be sure to get a good group! 120/400 points on group projects!
Akbulut is sometimes hard to understand but if you read her presentations on your own and the listed chapters, you should be just fine. There are 3 group projects that are major in this class, so make sure to do your part and hopefully you get a good group.
Asli is not the worst but I didn't care for her. Sit up front to make sure you can hear/understand her. She tries to get class participatn. but it can be strange: she'd have a student read the text of a Dilbert comic strip-really?? Lots of SAP indiv. homework which was easy. Several group case studies take a lot of time. Lectures partially useful.
Asli is a nice lady, but a tough teacher. She is hard to understand, so make sure to pay attention in her class. Lectures are long and boring, and it's difficult to pay attention during them. 3 group projects, and although they don't seem very difficult, Asli is a tough grader and marks down plenty. Used the expensive Connect Textbook only twice.
Asli is one of the sweetest professors I have ever had. She is always willing to help and makes a boring class go by more quickly. MGT 268 is like the next step up from CIS 150 and it can be easy to get lost but Asli does everything she can to walk students through assignments, exams, projects, etc. Great woman.
She is so sweet and nice. Her lectures can be a bit boring, but I think its just the topic in general. She is very easy to talk to and get help. The class basically just consists of a few group projects and a test. I would recommend this professor.
Very very boring lectures, class work is extremely easy, but there is a lot of tedious homework outside of class. Exams (midterm and final) are harder than expected. Very slow moving course which made it hard to show up.
Wonderful teacher, she genuinely cares for students and is always willing to answer questions. She knows her subject very well and I received a lot of value from the class especially with SAP info. I would save money and only buy the online books, they are rarely used. Group projects mostly so it is easy to get a good grade. Highly recommend.
Great women, she was always super kind and respected through out the class. Lots of group projects which are easy grades. TESTS ARE HARD. They are lecture heavy, and I have never gotten higher than a 65 on them. Some extra credit. And you can use a cheat sheet on the final. Only downside the lectures are SOOOO boring. It was hard for me to show up.
Great lady. Always replies quickly to emails and is always willing to answer any questions you have. Her tests are pretty tough, they're based on the lecture slides but the questions are very specific so studying is necessary. There are 3 group projects which are pretty easy. Not a lot of homework (if any). Good class overall.
Really nice prof. super caring and she helps a lot if you do not understand the projects or lectures. a few easy online quizzes, 3 group projects ( 2 with the team 1 alone). midterm and final. if you study the quizzes you will be fine.
This class was super easy for me, but Asli made it a lot more bearable. She gives very clear instructions and genuinely wants all of her students to pass. I do wish she cared bit less about the grades her students get; I once had to sit in class for two hours while other people finished their homework because she refused to accept substandard work.
Great professor! Always willing to help in or outside of class! Highly recommend her!
Professor Asli Akbulut is one of the best professors I know in GVSU. She really cares for the success of her students not only on MGT 268 but also in their future career. She wants all her students to understand the subject and she does an excellent job. I highly recommend her.
Professor Akbulut is a solid professor and this is an easy course. Overall, just show up and complete the group projects on time. She is very willing to work with students if you ever get behind or need additional help. This is a pretty boring course if you just show up and stay on top of things. Nearly no homework.
Professor Akbulut was a great teacher, but unfortunately she just teaches a boring class. Show up every day to class and you'll get a good grade, not only because attendance is mandatory, but also because her lectures are extremely helpful in learning the information. Overall, the class wasn't too bad, and she made it a little easier.
She is such a nice lady! Really cares about her students and their grades! She always pushed deadlines back for online quizzes and projects. Not a ton of homework, but enough to keep you busy. Her lectures can be boring, but if you study her slides and online quizzes the exams are a breeze. Highly suggest to anyone!
Asli is the type of professor that cares more about your learning than just a grade, which is awesome. If you do poorly on a project she will tell you what to fix and let you resubmit for a better grade. There are a lot of group projects but you get to choose your partners and she is really helpful. The material is fairly easy, and she is great
Asli is a great professor and is very caring. She goes over problems similar to the quizzes/tests in class prior to the tests and allows you to revise your project grade if you are unhappy with it. She often times allowed us to work on projects in class and ask her questions if need be. Easy A if you show up and pay attention.
Asli is the best professor I had at GVSU. A lot of work but you do most of it in-class. A real class with real world applicability. Asli remembers your name and wants to pass her students. Keep up on the work and youll probably get an A.
Professor Akbulut is my favorite business professor here. She truly cares about her students and them learning the material. She will help you with anything you need or stay later if be so. The material is tough, but she makes is easy. I suggest you make friends in the class because doing the simulations together helps. Would highly recommend her!!
Asli is a sweetheart. The class can get confusing at times, just because the content can be difficult, but if there is any confusion all you have to do is ask and she will clear it up. You have to put effort into your projects to get the grade. Overall, the class isn't too difficult and she's a great teacher!
Professor Akbulut is the best! I took her online summer class which is quite fast pace, but she is there for every step checking in constantly for questions and updates on how you are doing. Her assignments are as clear as can be with their directions. There are multiple projects, step-by-step instructions are provided with narration. Best prof!
She is the best MGT prof I have taken in my 4 years here, take her!
Professor Asli is one of the best professors I've had at GV. All of her projects are extremely detailed in how she wants it, you will easily get an A if you follow them. She really does care about her students, and answers any questions expeditiously. The class is heavy on group projects, which can be good or bad. But overall, I'd rate 10/10!
Prof. Akbulut has been one of the most professional profs in my time at GVSU. You can tell that she understands the material, and she cares about your success. She understands that life happens, and she is willing to work with you. HIGHLY RECCOMEND
Prof Akbulut is clearly very knowledgeable and professional. The class is fairly straightforward and simple as well. If you watch her lecture video each week, the rest is quite easy. There are 3 projects (the first 2 are group projects). Her expectations are very clear and she divides the work up so it's not a dreaded group project.
Prof Asli was great to work with in an online setting. She really seemed to care for us as students and although there are 3 projects for the semester, the projects are spread out over the semester with due dates along the way to make sure you stay on track. The projects also were very helpful to learn the materiel. Can't recommend her enough.
Be aware that this class is difficult!! Lots of time spent on challenging SAP assignments. However, Professor Akbulut is so kind, caring, and very accessible. She wants you to succeed and understands the challenge of this class. If youre going to take this class, take it with her. Midterm and final are easy if you do the practice questions.
Prof Asli cares about you and is you do the work you'll pass her class. There's 3 projects throughout the semester and all were so easy. Exams were on lockdown browser but without the camera. Highly recommend taking this class with her. I took this course online and it was easy and learned a lot
Prof. Asli was awesome! She was reachable via email in an asynchronous environment and responded promptly and was helpful. 3 projects in this course, do not skip out on them or give half effort, they make up most of your overall grade.
I took the class completely online so I didnt work much directly with professor Akbulut but i enjoyed the class. There were weekly lectures and quizzes and 3 projects, 2 group and 1 individual. I feel like i learned a lot of valuable information and the workload wasnt too much.
I took this class asynchronously online so I didn't work much with the professor but she responded to emails quickly, her videos were helpful, the workload was not too much and I learned valuable information. Highly recommend.
DO NOT TAKE THIS!!! the work load was so much and there was no guidence at all. this is one of the hardest classes ive ever taken
Don't know how she teaches other class but for MGT 351, I learned so much about SAP in this class. She is very caring and helpful during class. Outside of the classroom, she is a quick email responder. I will definitely take her again
Asli is a great professor. There's usually 1 hw and 1 quiz a week, but you can look everything up if needed. There are 2 group projects and 1 independent, but if you work together there's no reason you shouldn't get an A. She responds to emails extremely fast. 2 Exams 60 min 60 Q. You will get 30 points of EXC for LIFT, just bc, and SAP survey.
Professor Asli is super nice and helpful with everything, the only downside I really have is that she grades the projects pretty harshly. Other than that the class was very organized and wasn't too hard.
By far the most unorganized blackboard I have ever seen as well as little to no explanation or guidance on group projects even after we emailed her. She made this one of the hardest classes I've ever taken
I loved this class and the professor! Any time I had a question she would respond to emails very quickly. She is extremely encouraging and overall a very sweet and caring person. The workload wasn't awful this class is easy if you don't procrastinate and read instructions carefully.
One of the best professors I have ever had! I am not good with SAP but she made it easy. She offers extra credit opportunities, promptly responds to emails, and created a classroom environment where learning is not only fun but also transformative. She genuinely cares about her students. Take her if you can
I love this professor, she makes everything so easy to understand and is extremely caring towards her students. She is very knowledgeable in SAP and happy to help until you get everything figured out. She gives quite a bit of extra credit randomly. Exams are not hard, just study the chapter quizzes and you'll do fine.
Complete waste of a class, all you do is jump around blackboard searching for what to do but nothing is clearly stated anywhere. Each attachment has 50 pages of useless information that always contradicts itself. The SAP system used is nothing but buggy and you cannot complete any assignments without spending your entire day/week doing it.
Horrendous teacher and horrible experience with this class DO NOT take it. There is zero information and help based on the work that you are given, there are a thousand docs as "guidelines" that all just contradict each other. She does not help with problems at all, just assumes you should know it.
This class feels like a complete waste of time. Instructions are unclear, and navigating Blackboard is frustrating because it's hard to find what needs to be done. Each attachment is overloaded with pages of irrelevant information that often contradict each other. The SAP system is full of bugs, be sure to use your whole day for one assignment
Not completely sure why Prof. Asli has any negative reviews. She was extremely responsive outside of class because she knows that this material can become difficult and she consistently showed how much she cares for her students. If you pay attention and give solid effort, this class is an easy A.
Professor Asli's class was well-organized, and she was responsive to emails. The workload was manageable, and Unstuck AI helped with study prep. Overall, a solid class.
Prof. Akbulut was a good professor, but as a whole the class was horrible. You cannot leave the class without saving your SAP progress and class will ALWAYS go late, sometimes up to 15 minutes over. Many times she does not know how to answer your question and will make you spend your afternoon talking to IT interns. Complete waste of time.
Prof. Asli is a great professor and an SAP wizard! She takes the time to answer my questions and is super nice. She gives clear instructions, but some people just don't bother to read them. I'm ahead, and it's frustrating to be held back by others who aren't putting in the effort. She allows multiple quiz attempts for chap quizzes.
Simple and easy class; you MUST show up to class to do some of the projects, as she likes to work on them in class. Overall easy material and gives out lots of extra credit opportunities. Only midterm and final for tests. Easy homework that has 2 attempts. Easy A class.
MGT 351 was one of the toughest but most rewarding classes I've taken. I learned a lot, not just about SAP, but also how new technologies are changing how companies use ERP. Since I'm going into consulting, I found the real-world focus valuable. Prof Asli was very supportive and made even the hardest exercises make sense. A top-notch professor.
Prof. Asli is super knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. The hands-on parts of MGT 268 were challenging at times, but she explained everything clearly and made sure we understood the projects. She's organized, fair with grading, and really cares about her students. Be sure to attend class, it's worth it. Highly recommend!
She was fine and nice. The class was a joke, literally just following instructions. Takes maybe an hour or two per assignment and the quiz answers can be found in the PowerPoints she uploads. You don't need to show up and she responds to emails quickly but you shouldn't really need help anyways except if you mess something up.
A really easy class to get through. The lecture slides are all typed out and can be a bit hard to follow, but once you get past that, it's very easy to do well. She offers plenty of extra credit opportunities and genuinely wants to see her students succeed. Getting a 100% is definitely doable.
