honestly, I would pay to have professor mutlu as my calc teacher. She was always right there helping when u had questions, gave multiple opportunities to bring your grade up, and was very good with responding to emails. I struggled with one topic and I met with her and she helped me understand it. I'm so glad I had her as a teacher. PLEASE TAKE HER

two words: Amazing and Helpful! For someone who doesn't like math, she goes over it well and she willing to work with you if you try your best. She truly has everyone's best interest at heart. Out of all the math professors, I have had at Wake Tech she was the best & wants to help you! It's rare to find professors like her.

I took her as a hybrid class. She is a very good teacher, but since it's hybrid she is expecting you to come to class with prior knowledge of the material because in class she will go over it but very quickly. If you do ask a question though she will help and explain it well in class

Professor Mutlu generally responds quickly to emails and questions. However, if you are planning on taking this class online, prepare to work very hard for an A. This class has a lot of homework so prepare to spend a lot of time in this class. I learned a lot in this class, but it was not an easy A class.

She is one gem of a teacher. Her powerpoints were amazing! They explained the lessons in great detail. I saved them for future use in case I needed refreshing on anything. She was kind and understanding. She liked class participation. It was a hybrid class, so we did most of our work online, not in class, but she prepared us very well.

Mutlu is good but she comes to class expecting you to be caught up with homework, which people rarely are. This results in confusing classes where she tends to go over peoples' heads.

She is very good at teaching and understands what you couldn't, didn't understand, can REALLY dumb it down for you. She is very approachable and cares about students. Gives an EXCELLENT test review. You really need to show your work for partial credit. Her lectures could be boring but you would not want to miss a class since you REALLY learn a lot.

She is great, you would NOT miss her class, but get ready to study A LOT. But you learn A LOT. She is worth every penny of it. Great person who cares about her students and very passionate about teaching statistics.

She is GREAT! Very well structured class notes, powerpoints. Helpful videos. NO busywork at all. Everything you do is for learning and consistent with exams and projects. She is a fast responder for your emails and finds a solution to your problem. Mutlu just made me want to be a better student.

Take your stat class from Mutlu at WakeTech. She does her best to make you understand, very engaging,lots of hands on activities. You would want to learn more. She makes statistics so much relatable to your life,you would want to become a statistician. Don't miss her stat class.

I have taken Pre-Calc 2nd time this semester. Mutlu's instruction was very clear, by far, she is my best teacher. She likes and cares about her students. She has worked with me almost every week for each and every WebAssign prob.I started to like math because of her. Her classes are very active, lots of discussions and she welcomes every question.

Very quick to respond to emails when emailed about grades, questions about the assignment, etc. She comes up with interesting concepts for problems. She is really approachable in office hours and stays behind for a couple of minutes if you have quick questions. Overall a pretty good teacher!

Though she is very humble, Ms. Mutlu is nothing short of a truly inspiring teacher. Need help understand something? She's on it. Need inspiration to really do better, and be better? She will give it. MAT 172 itself, isn't easy-but it isn't supposed to be. However, having a professor that will go above and beyond makes all the difference.

Prof. Mutlu was one of my favorite math teachers. She cares about her students and is very positive. She wants all of her students to succeed. We work in groups for practice problems and a few group assignments. She has a great way of explaining the material and making sure everyone understands. I recommend taking Prof. Mutlu.

Her classes were fun, never boring. You need to study for her tests though. Homeworks were not busywork, it makes you understand the hard concepts. Always a happy face.

Professor Mutlu is beyond amazing. Her lectures are worth the time, she tries her best to make sure everyone in the classroom gets the concept, even when that means going over the same concept for the third time! She will work with you if you need extra help and guide you. There was some group work and LOTS of webassign quizes!

Mutlu cares about her students. She teaches in a way that you do not want to miss her classes because you learn a lot. She responds your questions very fast. Almost always available for help. Fast grader and gives very detailed feedback. I never liked math but she helped me a lot and made me like math. She likeS teaching math. You can see that.

She is very organized. Mutlu prepares great videos. After mid-march, when everything was turning down, she was extremely supportive. She always makes sure that all the material and the concepts are very clearly understood. She loves students and teaching. She is hilariously funny and looks for any instance to reach out and reteach.

I've never done this well in a math class before, Thank you, Mrs. Mutlu. Her lectures were online via Teams. 50 minutes but very clear, direct, and funny. She knows math REALLY WELL and EXPLAINS well. She has been very helpful and understanding. I have missed the first test and she has gone above and beyond to give me a makeup version.

I was never a math person but she explains things very well and gives lots of examples or tries hard and different ways to teach tough concepts. She uses analogies and they are all funny. You will learn, laugh and enjoy math. Lots of group work, assignments but completely prepares you for the exam. You learn math, people! This was powerful.

Great person in general. Lecture was kind of confusing at times. Does review before exams. But grading criteria is very confusing. I would take her again now that I know what to expect from exams and assignments. NO extra credit and no extensions no matter your situation.

Mutlu is great. She can dumb down the solution to the tiniest detail. Usually holds test review sessions. DO NOT miss and she does a lot of group work too. These group work assignments were helpful. You can talk with her, she helps you with anything and very caring person. I realized that I can learn math.

Mutlu was willing to help out almost always. She will try her best to meet with you even outside of her office hours when you ask. There is quite a bit of homework but it helps you prepare for the weekly quizzes. She well organized her class and has her own videos. Weekly short quizzes. Heavy group work but we all enjoyed it. Good sense of humor.

Mutlu is very flexible and funny. Loved her stat course. Took Precalc and was very happy again. Great teacher. Does her best to make sure that you got it. Her office hour was a study hall. She does her thing, we do our thing and ask math. Smart and funny. Does very good test reviews don't miss it. Gives ALOT hwork but helps ALOT.

Really learned math and liked it. Uses her all effort to make sure you got it. Totally funny and caring also. Approachable, open to questions, and helps at any time. One time I asked her to meet on Sunday she did it. Very polite personality and understanding. Listens and spots where you had your mistake. Thankful for her patience.

I have learned so many things in this course more than statistics. Excel, using technology is few others. Very knowledgeable, and nice person. Very student oriented. Gives extensions for assignments. Responds to your needs. She postponed the due date for a test because we were not good at review. I'll take 171 from her in the fall.

Mrs. Mutlu was great. This was my 2nd time with 171 but I got it. Teacher matters if she cares. She made us to understand every detail, talked about every possible mistakes that we would do. Given good feedback after every test on one one basis. She literally created a study plan made me understand pre-calc. I started to like math. She is a gem.

I was so worried to take her class because her rating was not good. However, the ppt slides she gave were easy to look at, and quizzes and tests were not that hard. She is a slow and TOUGH GRADER, and there are pretty many group projects. You should participate well to get good grades. If you are a person who studies hard, recommend her class.

She's so lenient and understanding and she replies to emails quickly she's always willing to meet up and explain anything you're struggling with. there are 4 tests and a couple of group projects STUDY AND BE ORGANIZED YOULL PASS with B or C.

Mrs. Mutlu is a great professor. Her lectures are easy to follow, explained well, and broken up nicely. The test questions were similar to assignment problems. Tests were with the note sheets too. Tests were weighted heavily, however, so make sure to study! She was always very helpful and understanding.

Ms. Mutlu hands down is one of the best professors I've had. I can't thank her enough. She cares so much about her students and making sure that you understand the material, which is very important for a class like this. She is extremely personable, funny, and sarcastic which I find awesome. Put the hours in and you'll be fine! Attend lectures too!

If you want an easy teacher, then don't take a math class. If you want the best teacher you can probably get for a math class, then take this math class. Prof. Mutlu always responds very quickly in teams, she gives extensions if you ask for them. Sometimes, she even lets you retake quizzes. But if you listen in class, you will actually do well.

Mutlu was an amazing person/professor. She made sure everyone was on the same page. She's always open to questions. If you fall behind on grades she will try to help you bring your grade up. Her lecture is to the point she explains very well. The grade is based on hws, quizzes, tests, and group projects. I would definitely take her class again.

TBH my grade is not good & that's MY fault, but y'all she is so good. She doesn't look down on you for getting very bad grades and will continually help regardless. Genuinely cares and wants to help. Dr. Mutlu is very nice and laid back. Not too much homework is assigned, majority of it is deciding if you need the extra practice. I took precalc in high school, so it definitely made the course easier. There were multiple times when students would have to correct her work though. It was not a big problem, it was just kind of annoying.

This is a difficult class, especially when taken online. Professor Mutlu was always happy to answer questions whether through email or video call to make sure you understand when you're struggling. Be prepared to practice and STUDY and you'll do good :) Again, Mutlu was so sweet and wants to help you succeed in precalc!

She was always extremely prepared for her lectures and made the math she taught interesting. I took her for Pre-Calc Algebra no need to say, a very challenging course. Her class wass a great experience after a rough, previous one. She deserves a big fat 5 stars from me.

Professor Mutlu was great. She knows what she's teaching and tries to make it as easy as possible, allows extra time, if needed. Fyi, there are weekly quizzes each week so be prepared. Every other project is in groups. As someone's who isn't the best at math, this class has been fairly easy. Caring and very knowledgeable.

I had Dr. Mutlu Calc 263, and 152, and 171.For someone who doesn't like or do well in math, I loved all her classes. She's very nice, knows what she is doing and loves the subject - that makes all the difference in a math class. She doesn't immediately assume you know tricky things from prior classes and reviews them and presents options.

She made statistics easy to understand and follow in her lectures. You still need to put in a lot of work outside of weekly work, but she gives plenty of resources and great feedback. Would take her class again in a heartbeat. She does assign a lot of homework but she makes sure you're prepared for the material covered in Quiz and labs.

Got a C for my Brief Calc class, then B in Stat. But lemme just say that you gotta put the work in outside of classes. I was regularly attending the ILC center and without it, I probably would not have gotten that C and B. She explains the concepts unbelievably good and avaliable to help. Not a tough grader on exams.

Great teacher, and made me love math. She teaches to the point and does very good test reviews, cares about each and every student. You can tell that she clearly loves teaching and knows her subject. Relaxed attendance policy, clear on grading. Stats was fun with her, and was very approachable person.

She is amazing at teaching and provides you with EVERYTHING you need to succeed. I 100% recommend her. PreCalc was not an easy class, but if you do your part as a student, she gives A LOT of support. Before test dates I had to meet late evenings, not office hours, she was there for me. I liked her, very knowledgeable too.

Amazing teacher easy going but slow asl cuz she did not grade our assignments till the last day of the course. kinda passive aggresive but always answered all and any questions. review meetings were super helpful. She won't answer heavy topic questions on teams so consider emailing her.

OMG this course is hard y'all. BUT loved having Mutlu as my professor. She was available outside class, gave great feedback, was very understanding and lectures were easy to follow along with. I've always struggled in math but she explained things so clearly. I ended with a good score for myself.

Dr. Mutlu is not a bad professor, but you will dislike how difficult the class is. 171 is a hard class overall and you need to put in effort, a lot of it, she is pretty good with lectures but sometimes will make mistakes, please do NOT be afraid to ask questions she is a little harsh but it is in a caring way. I would take her again if I could.
