this professor rocks. she cares about us and makes sure we understand before she moves on another crazy chemistry topic. she makes chemistry cool, she connects it to everyday life, and it is kinda neat. she is also very funny, and she makes the night class interesting so we don't fall asleep.

Asmik is one of the best teachers i have taken so far at GCC. Chemistry is not an easy subject, she is very passionate about it and that comes through to her students, which makes class fun and not boring. she is AWESOME we love her sooooo much. you will need to study for her tests, if you are sruggling let her know dont wait till the end.

She's a very helpful teacher. There's definitely a language barrier, but she'll clarify things you don't understand. She cares for her students very much and goes the extra mile to answer questions. Go to class and study her lecture notes and you'll do great. Don't need the book.

Mrs O was like the Energizer Bunny: I'd never seen her tired, she had endless energy and love for chemistry. Her class was tough but soooo fun and entertaining. I learned a lot of spectroscopyu, and a cool techniques. She had solution for every situation in the lab. Loved her!

I took this class in winter(bad idea)but thanks to this intelligent and extremely generous teacher I did well and looked forward to chemistry every day.At first I had difficulty understanding her accent but I asked lots of questions and soon found her teaching style quite accessible and charming. Mrs. O is one of my all time favorite professors. I took her for both 101 and 105 lab. She knows her chemistry and puts great effort into helping her students understand the subject. 105 lab is not easy though. There were many quizzes and formal reports to complete. Her passion for the subject and her caring nature make taking her well worth it.

I loved this class. Mrs. O. always has this beautiful smile on her face while teaching organic chemistry. She loves it so much that you have to love it with her. She puts so much effort for us to understand. But it is a very hard class. You have no life but somehow you love it.

I LOVE HER! If you want to transfer and to be successful in chem related major in any UCs, even Berkeley and LA, you should definitely take her. The class may be challenging for some people but she prepares you well for advance courses. Ochem is not for everyone and the course itself is not easy so be prepared and keep up with the lecture.

This is a tough class, but I've learned so much. She is always there for her students, she clearly loves her job, and she knows how to teach. I have never had such dedicated, inspiring, and hard working professor. She gives you lecture notes, then full lecture notes, practice exams, etc. And she truly cares about all of her students. This is the hardest class you ever take, but the best class you will remember. The lectures are sooo organized, with summaries at the end, lots of practice exams. office hours are always full, come with questions and you get the answers. very caring personality but you have to work very hard. the best A i have ever EARNED.

Mrs. O is a great professor and she definitely knows her stuff, but I felt that she made an effort to make her exams as complex as possible. If you don't know the material inside out, forwards and backwards, you will most likely fail. I learned a lot, but I ended up with a lower grade than I wanted because of her exams.

Mrs. O is arguably the best professor you will have during your academic career. She's got the experience and she knows her stuff. Has five different office hours, a review session once a week (twice during test weeks) and is ALWAYS open to questions. That said, it's a very challenging class. She does her part, it's up to you to hold up your end.

best professor ever but dont get me wrong class is not easy. after taking her 105 class i changed my major from biochemistry to organic chemistry. go to her office hours, you learn a lot from your classmates questions as they are never one to one.

Literally an angel sent from heaven. Take this class with easier classes because this will and should be your focus. This was the hardest, most rewarding class I have ever taken. A living example of how a true professor should be, biology department in GCC should LEARN FROM HER!

This class is without a doubt one of the toughest out there and you will often be frustrated and stressed because of it. Mrs O. will definitely challenge you and push your limits, however, I can honestly say no one has inspired me and motivated me the way she has, both inside and outside the classroom. A must take!!! But be ready to work hard.

Start studying from day 1, do hw, GO TO SI SESSIONS!!! go to her office hours, she explains everything better there since lecture time isn't really enough. Participate in the fb group and post your questions. Take your 2page notes and don't spend too much time reading the book in detail. You can mess up once but she will help you get a good grade.

I am taking the class during the pandemic, and Mrs.O. went above and beyond being the best professor to help us learn, succeed, and be prepared for UCs. She teaches three sections with the same enthusiasm, and always relates the material to real life. There is nobody like her. She makes the class enjoyable even online. The best.

Mrs. O pushed me like I have never been pushed before. I did not do well in chem 105 but she inspired me to do better and I did in chem 106. She is tough but if you show that you care and really try hard, shell reward you. Youre not going to find anyone like her. She is complicated but she really is kind and a brilliant professor.

Her chem 106 class was so much better and interesting than chem 105. The textbook of chem 105 was full of errors. She only posted notes and video lecture for chem 106, which were very useful. Her tests became multiple choice after the covid 19 pandemic, and they were easier compared to the usual test. Personally, I really like her for chem 106.

Mrs O is the BEST teacher I've ever had. Not only she's an expert at organic chemistry, but also she's an amazing human being. Her tests are extremely hard and complicated, the final exam is JUST IMPOSSIBLE, but as long as you show her that you care and attend the SI's and her office hours, she'll reward you for sure. Mrs O is THE BEST. I took both semesters of Ochem with her and would recommend everyone to do so. Organic chemistry is extremely difficult, we need to study 24/7, but it is totally doable, as long as you ask questions, be honest, go to SI's and office hours, you will enjoy the class. I mean I worked my thing off to get B in this class. oChem is super difficult, you need to be aware that you make sure you know what everyday lecture is about! Dr.O. is super sweet, but you got to be honest with her as she's helpful to us

After this class your personality and the way you are thinking will be totally changed! Do not ignore MrsO's book - this is the major tool for you to get it right. Study as much as you can + visit all office hours and SIs. Do not come to MrsO for a grade, come here for knowledge, experience and challenge. She is the best teacher at GCC.

Prof O is very caring and funny. If she sees you're showing effort, then you should be able to pass. Prepare for your entire life to be in her hands for the time you're in her class. You will eat, sleep, and breathe chemistry and somehow will still find her exams very difficult. Exams + final is 70% of your grade, so nothing else really matters.

She was funny, engaging, genuinely caring, and helpful throughout the course. She explained concepts clearly and provided many helpful resources to support the material.
