He is very helpful and nice. Cares about his students. Well spend as much time in class to go over something you dont understand. Dosent rush the sections. Will postpond exams/quiz if the class tells him they arent ready and oh yeah he is HILARIOUSLY FUNN
He was soo hard to understand because of his accent. He wasn't very helpful to me and even made fun of me a few times...I'm a great math student but he felt that it was ok to be mean to me. I ended up with a "c". Don't bother with him.
Hasn't complained about lateness/absence yet.
I believe the first comment added (the nice one) was written by the professor himself. I cannot see how anyone would say that he is considerate to the student's needs and most of all, him being funny? There is no way any student could get this react
Not only did his accent not help me understand him, but his teaching skills were horrid. He didn't keep any organization to the way he was teaching and no one really knew where he was in the book so they could follow. I have never had problems with math till he became my teacher. Stay Away!
I personally didn't have any problem understanding his accent. I think Mr. Peiris is freakin hystical! Honestly he cracked me up in class.. this being said Calc I was probably one of the hardest classes I've taken. He assumes that you know everything. Don't take him unless you are confident in your math skills.
ok but you cant understand what he sais
this teacher is the worst teacher i have ever had he does not know how to teach and interact with his students yea' he might of said some funny things in class made jokes and all but still he and I didnt get along..Maybe it was just because it was summer i dont know but i didnt like class at all...
Nice Teacher, difficult subjects. But very helpful with students. He is a good teacher. He never failed me regardless of my awful test scores!
i think he is awesome. even with the accent i understand him so much better than my teacher last year and i finally understand what is going on in class. he is so nice and always makes sure everyone knows whats going on. and he is so easy going im so glad i got him for a teacher.
I am really good at math and I still had to drop this class. I could barely understand him and got lost and could never catch up.
HE's not the best calc teacher. Many of the examples he worked out on the board to teach the ideas were simple compared to the homework problems in the textbook. He also didn't work some of his examples out all the way through, he would just carry out the calculus part, not simplify and do the rest of the algebra involved to get the final result.
he is a really good teacher, he healp me with everything. i really like his calss
his accent makes the class so hard and he only shows you how to do the easy problems and gives the hard ones for the test take anyone else
I wouldnt recommend him for a teacher. He was not there for any of our classes,he didnt teach,he was not clear on the schedule or HW & is hard to understand b.c. he is from a different country. It is pretty much a "teach yourself" kind of class, so for those of you who are not math whiz's and can't teach yourself Algebra.. take a different teacher.
I'm taking him for Calc 1 online. I know it's weird taking this class online but I have no choice as I live miles away from the main campus. If you ask him something he will respond three days later. His syllabus is not clear as well as how grades wil be computed.
Very Very difficult to understand. He was willing to help students after class, but it was no help, you can't understand him. His accent is strong. Tests are short but difficut. He moves very quickly and speaks even faster. I do not recomend taking class with him if math is not your strongest subject.
He wasn't the teacher I had signed up for orgionally, but it wasn't that bad. His lectures explain the online quizes, which are basically the tests. He's willing to help, the accent and humor just takes some getting used to.
Mr. Peiris is a great prof for those who are interested in pursuing a career of mathmatics. Calc. 1 was fairly easy to pass with an A. The test were all taken directly from the online quizzes you do on Maple TA. Tests generally 7-11 questions with no surprises. I wish he would teach calc 2 or 3 because I would definetley take him again!!!!
I had Mr. Peiris for 3 math classes. I enjoyed his teaching style. He tries to use real life applications of mathmatics.
he is he best math teacher i have taken at ircc he explans the problems well and is helpful
Precal was quite an easy class but not beause of him. His accent made the concepts harder to be understood. He was very helpful! His tests were all from a program named Maple. Overall, he was good but do not take him if you do not like math.
He's great. What else can i say. Come to class, do your work and you'll do good walking out with an A.
great instuctor
Great teacher. I had trig and Pre calc at the same time and made A's in both. His accent really isnt that bad. if your worried about it sit in the front. He's pretty funny. he makes the class interesting w/ stories and applications. you should only have a hard time with his class if your really stupid.
very good.
(I don'tremember the class #, sorry) Had him for precalc. His accent is not that hard to understand, unless you are an idiot that likes to come to class just to pick on the teacher's speech (like someone in my class did when I took Dr. Peiris a couple years ago...). He is very nice, and if you are nice to him, he will be very helpful to you.
Doesn't consider giving partial credit....to him an answer is right or wrong.
Very good teacher!
He's among one of the best math instructors on campus. He was so awesome that i also ended up taking him twice, Trig and pre-calculus.Very easy to get good grades in his class. Please do the maples and understand your materials and you'll be more than prepared for the exams. All i can say, for those who are planning to take him, enjoy.
Very simple class, he teaches using nearly the same quizzes he requires you to take online and the tests are the same format. He definately knows the subject well. Very good teacher.
At first I was scared with his heavy accent but you get used to it after a week or so. Sometimes he can go through the material a little fast but if you ask him to slow down and explain a little better he will. He is very nice and hes funny too. His tests are exactly the same as maple, he just pulls the questions right from maple! easy easy easy
I took short classes with him a couple/few days a week. I never had to open the book. I wrote down all of his notes and did the quizzes until I was confident with the material. I thought this would be my hardest math class, but Dr. Peiris made it easy. I would never want to have to take another professor for math again. It was so easy.
Funny guy. Deff has a sense of humor, which was nice. My only complaint (and probably the reason I got a B instead of an A) is that everything youre graded on is through Maple TA... No partial credit. So if you understand the material, and you input it into the computer wrong, its wrong, and you loose a lot of points this way. Would still recomend
He is a good mathematician, but a poor professor. The man does not teach. he lets the book do the teaching for him. If you can teach yourself, go for it. if you need instruction, pass on this professor.
very easy on Precal. if you're not good at math then this may not be the best teacher for you. he doesn't baby sit. it's not that he's bad it's just that his way of teaching is through Maple which can be a little confusing at times. just practice a lot and you'll be ok. (he's very funny by the way, he can pull multiple calculators lol.)
A. Peiris has the unremarkable ability to use multiple calculators at the same time (Probably via manipulating Space-Time). Peiris is a tough but fair Math Master who is excellent at teaching. He selflessly reteaches students grade school concepts so that they may conquer Calculus. Truly a saint, would highly suggest you experience his class room.
His moods are different everyday and most of the time he is on a bad mood! He treat his students like high school kids. No one can help you with Maple program which he insists that is the best math program ever. It will drive you crazy! Hopefully one day they will banned Maple TA from IRSC.
His intentions seem good, but he is simply not a very good teacher.
GREAT TEACHER! I have had him for both pre-calc and trig and will be taking him for calc as well. He is a little hard to understand but if you actually pay attention and go in with a good attitude there is NO reason not to get an A with this teacher. I was out of school for 15 years and he had no problem explaining simple aglebra when I needed it.
Pretty good teacher, but leaves key details out, once in a while. Uses the WORST homework program and doesn't accept anything lower than a "B" on quizzes, which are the only things he grades. Not for people that are weak in math.
What is wrong with you people ?? All this comments are just not making sense. He is a great teacher. He is the teacher that made me love and enjoy trigonometry. He is really easy, helpful, and funny. Every class is saying that if you need help with math and physics he will help. He is explaining every detail. The exams are really easy.
Great teacher and makes Calculus pretty interesting. Challanged my to prove his theory about making soda cans smaller. Wierd, but pretty cool. Anyone can pass so long as they take notes. BTW: Don't buy the book unless you need Calc II or III.
Great teacher and is very knowledgeable in mathematics. Had him for Pre calc and trig and got easy A's in both classes. He is an entertaining teacher that will keep the class interested. As long as you keep up with the Maple TA assignments, you will have no problem passing the class. His test are very similar to the quizzes. Highly recommended!!!
DO NOT take Calc w/ geo on line folks! I've had this teacher for a few classes and he has been a GREAT teacher in class but on line was much too difficult. Math lab was very helpful, when I could make it there. I got a C and had no doubt I would've gotten an A had I taken it in class, great teacher in classroom setting.
FUNNIEST PROF. EVER!!! His accent makes the lesson harder to understand but he will keep you smiling along the way. He kind of made me upset though..get this..I had an 89.4 and the guy still gave me a B! But nevertheless all the exams are online and if you PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE you'll do fine :)
Prof. Peiris is hilarious! He's a great teacher, but his accent is very strong. No need for a textbook because everything you need to know he will tell you. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTIE on Maple TA because the exams are IDENTICAL to the quizzes. I love his courses and I recommend any of them to anyone.
I took precalculus algebra and everything is done on the software Maple. We didn't use the book at all in class unless you need a visual. His accent isn't hard to understand if your paying attention and he's actually a pretty funny guy. Good teacher and class was easy.
He does not teach, just example after example of problems he made up on Maple, which is an internet program you do literally everything on regardless if you signed up for an online class or not. He does not care about students, he thinks if you can't understand it you don't deserve to be there. Very demeaning, saying how we are just stupid and will
Look, the people that don't like this guy are the lazy individuals that never take time to learn a little for themselves. With that said he is probably my favorite and most helpful math teachers I've ever had. His humor is alright but at least he tries to lighten the mood. Finally his accent isn't the best but it doesn't take long to understand it.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! he practically picked on everyone in the class, but his teaching were understandable, hes helpful, broke it down step by step. however it is very hard to pick up if you miss a step b/c he never finishes the problem to the last step he gets you far enough to where u should know the rest. I recommend if you want a relaxed math class:)
Awesome Professor!
I love Prof. Peiris! HES THE BEST MATH PROF. AT IRSC. He knows his math REALLYYYYYYY well and you'll even learn some Physics along the way :) I DEFINITELY recommend him
First off, let me just say Hi professor--because I know you're reading this. He's a funny guy and he's very smart. Lol he cracks jokes everyday so that keeps the class interesting. He's by far my favorite math professor ever.
This professor believes that all students who enter his domain already know the material 100% before they even enter his class, which creates a bad learning environment. Not recommended for those who fear anything lower than a C+.
Excellent professor. Great sense of humor which helped make the class more interesting. Genuinely interested in helping his students succeed not just in his class but in life. I had to study harder than I ever have before and I appreciate him that much for it. Thank you Mr P!!
Does a great job at explaining everything, and he prepares you for the tests so there'll be no surprises. You'll have to study, but once you get used to the way Maple wants the answers, it's not bad at all. Better than the other Calc professors for sure. Don't buy the book as he never uses it.
Professor Peiris, lectures at a good speed, easy to follow at 8am. Uses Maple TA which is a much better resource then the text book and it also saves you a few bucks. He pokes fun at students, which makes Calc half enjoyable. Keep up the good work professor.
I was so scared of calculus, but this professor made it super easy. Professor Peiris is very funny. Plox enjoy this class.
Accuses students of being lazy, then uses the computer to grade ALL tests and quizzes. Maple program is good for learning, HORRIBLE for testing student's ability. One small mistake and everything is wrong. Test results do not reflect student ability. Teacher says "you can't make mistakes" but them makes mistakes himself. Horrible attitude to have
Great Teacher! He does poke fun at students but most of them deserve it!! He actually wants us to learn and be the best we can be in our fields of work. Hes willing to help all he can and will explain things in elementary steps. He also does a great job at making an 8am calculus lecture as enjoyable as it can be.
Awesome professor, as long as you're willing to put in the work there is no reason to not get an A or B. Highly recommend him for calc :)
Great professor for PreCalc. Goes over every example in class that you need to complete the MapleTA assignments. Maple can be a bit confusing at first, but after awhile its fine. Very funny guy...don't act stupid bc he will make fun of you. Highly recommend this professor!
Peiris will help you if you ask for it. His expectations are clear from the begining. He has a strong India accent when speaking. I had no trouble understanding him though. I took 3 classes with him. A,A,B
Solid teacher, take notes and do the online quizes and you should get a B/A.
He grades accuracy. Tests are short (10-15 questions), so theres no room for small errors. Do the textbook homework, not just the online homework. You'll need the extra practice to perfect your accuracy. I'll probably get a B in his class, would have done better if I had done the textbook homework. He's funny, but thinks some questions are stupid
His class was very easy. He teaches by following along Maple, although at times I couldn't understand him becuase of his accent. His tests were SUPER easy as long as you practice on Maple.
Funny guy, can't take that away from him. But terrible teacher! Lacks clarity, easily offended and expects you to fully understand everything he says after one example. Don't take him unless you're very proficcient at math an can teach yourslef.
He seems nice, and very funny. But if youre not good at math DO NOT TAKE his courses. The students corrected him multiple times in class and on his quizzes he makes online . He makes several mistakes during class and it just confuses you unless you already know the material.
This professor's teaching style is basically that you will teach yourself the theory and concepts of Physics. It was his first time teaching Physics this term, so i am assuming he might adapt his teaching style for the following semester. Assumes that you already posess a good conceptualization of the subject prior to each class .
I can tell he is trying his best. and he is a good teacher very funny, but very strong accent. I just wished he would go over example right before test and quizzes because I'm dual enrollment and I can't just drive when ever I please to get help. Also writing the name of what were doing on the board. Test and quizzes are NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE.
Has funny stories. Makes many mistakes while teaching and on the online h/w which makes the material confusing. Print out H/w if you have it right and bring it to him the following class and he will change the grade. WATCH OUT FOR CONVERSIONS ON YOUR TESTS!!!!!
Very Hard! The tests were VERY HARD on the computer! Tests are only about 15 problems. Very Fast-paced, especially online. Would not recommend taking it online. BEWARE!
his teaching liability doesn't go with my learning liablity. he goes to fast. his test is fine but you have to study in order to pass. so far i am doing bad in his class and i really like math but with him i can't understand anything.
OMG dont take his class. horrible horrible "teacher". ignores emails, doesn't give a straight answer. good luck understanding his "english". dont do it. im good at math and look how poorly i did. 12 question test, one question was 16 points and you get no credit for your work. only answer. you get it wrong byebye points.
Tests are small, 7-12 questions. In which you can get one wrong and almost drop two letter grades. If you don't have an understanding of the subject already, do NOT take this class. Expects you to know how to do a problem after one example. And when you ask questions he does not fully answer them. I recommend to take this class with another teacher
Besides I speak other language, at the beginning I does not understand but later I did, even if I don't pass this class, I would say thank you and definitely see you on my next math class.
All you need to do is take notes and do all of the work on maple and you'll be fine, and there is no need to memorize any formulas. His accent could be a little heavy sometimes, but just ask and he will repeat himself to clear things up!
He seems like a good guy and very knowledgeable about the subject, but he can't get the idea across easily, not because of his accent (you'll get used to it) because he skips many steps in problem and detail. Therefore, after you finish take notes in class you'll have to figure it out yourselves.Tests are not hard, but he doesnt give partial credit
Made us buy online software that he wrote and it didnt even work(Slow loadtime/display errors). He'd only do a few of the problems and release us early. Little did we know he didnt cover half the material and left us for ourselves. The homework is graded but you have to input the answers a random way or they are wrong. Take anyone else if possible!
Relaxed class atmosphere, tells jokes while teaching, making the class enjoyable.Willing to work with you after class and is sympathetic to his students.Accent takes a day or 2 to get used to;doesn't hinder his teaching at all.Only quiz and test grades;bad at math, get a tutor ASAP.Recommend for the type of students who took AP Calc. Good Luck!!!!!!!
He does have an accent, but I never had any trouble understanding him. Got used to it after two classes. He was funny. He cares about students, and you can tell he wants us to not only pass but enjoy taking the class.
this professor sucks!!! run!! choose any other teacher but him!!! i love math and taking him has made me loose interest in math i hate this class !!!
I'm taking this class right now. I don't like it at all. My advice is if he is the only teacher available for this course, wait until next semester for another teacher. He doesn't put in any grades on blackboard, so you basically have to figure them out yourself.
he has an accenet, and his writing can be alittle tricky but you will get used to it in 2-3 classes. he only assigns quizes and test. every question is from the notes that he gives you in class, he doesn't miss any steps. he is a very strict grader.
He is a really smart guy, you can tell he knows a lot about the subject. However, I found it hard to keep up with him. He is kind of intimidating, I felt really stupid asking for help. If math is not your strongest area I'd advise you find another professor. If you are a math major though he's perfect.
Has a tough accent, but not terribly difficult to get used to after a few classes. Gives at least one quiz or test every class, and they tend to be 5-10 questions long no multiple choice, so miss one and you'll tank it. Doesn't use book. He's very helpful, but don't expect him to answer emails. If you struggle with math, I wouldn't recommend him.
I do not understand where there are so much negativity. this is college and it should be hard. otherwise, everyone would had college degree. he has a through understanding on his subject. he wants his students to earn the grade. I find it quite interesting that if you take good notes at class, the very same thing come in exam, but still complain.
He speaks broken English, and is condescending when asked questions in class. He is stuck in the stone-age concerning technology, and has zero sense of humor.
First time teaching science you CANNOT understand him and he often forgets how to say words in english, and he may use a word he thinks is similar until he figures out the word. He does not give a study guide or test review. I would NOT recommend unless you are good at teaching yourself from the book. He never went over the syllabus.
Tough to understand, students often need clarification in class. Has a sense of humor as long as you are not disrupting his class. If you are good at problem-solving & willing to read the textbook, I'd recommend taking the online course for this because you'll go home anyways to figure it out when you can't understand him anyway. DON'T USE CELL PH!
In Peiris' class, you're either confused, bored, or taking a quiz on something you had to teach yourself. He doesn't try to understand what his students ask so if you have a question, it's easier to figure it out on your own. He doesn't use blackboard so his grading is often a mystery. He was funny but usually showed up 15 minutes late. Not great.
The reason I most likely failed this class is because I had never taken a physics class before so I don't blame Peiris completely.. but he could have been clearer in conveying the information. He gives quizzes every class and his tests are tricky. The book was typically more helpful than he was.
He's such a smart teacher that sometimes he forgets his students don't know it as well as he does! But the good thing is, if you don't understand it the first time, you can go to his office and he'll help you for as long as you need! I did that last semester and I would not have passed without his help. One of my favorite and most helpful teachers!
I love this professor. He is so crystal clear. Go to class, take exact notes from the board, and study those notes. The tests are derived straight from what we learn in class. He does not try to trick you or make you guess around for what you are supposed to know-what you do in class is what's on the test, plain and simple! He made me enjoy Physics
The class was the hardest class I've taken in my entire college career. Did I mention that it was pre-calc? I'm a math major and have now completed calc 1, 2, and 3. Not one of those classes was worse than this guy. Quizzes are short, miss one you fail the whole test, no partial credit whatsoever. I recommend that you look elsewhere from this prof.
I had professor Asoka for Precalculus Algebra for Summer 2 and it was definitely a mistake! This professor makes students feel dumb! His test only have six questions, so if you miss one or two questions, you would receive a C or D on the test! Professor Asoka made me HATE math this semester and math is one of my favorite subjects!
Horrible Teacher. Would not recommend.
Steven- Every week there is a quiz and a test. No homework is assigned making studying tough. Not clear on when and what the quizzes and tests are on. Expects you to know how to do problems so when he lectures he skips steps and does not explain. The class before the final he was supposed to go over review but did not show up to class. POS.
He's a pretty nice guy and he knows what he's talking about, for sure. However, he has a heavy accent and can be a little forgetful. Most of the work was online for MGF2106, so if you want a good grade, do all the online work. The textbook isn't required, but the online access code is.
Dr. Peiris is there to help if you ask. He expects you to do the homework even though it's not required. His lectures are amusing. He's pretty funny. His tests can be rough, but only if you haven't learned the material. They tend to be short, but if you haven't studied whats on it then you're bound to fail. There is a quiz/test almost every week.
There is homework in the class, which could be seen as a plus, but for me it was difficult having my grade solely rely on tests and quizzes. He gives you the slipperiest questions possible and grades harshly on everything. He recommends the use of the textbook, but it didn't help me much. I would only suggest as a last resort for a math credit.
Asoka is a serious professor and can be funny at times however, if you want to pass the class you have to take notes, study them and for tests, study your quizzes. There may be some tricky questions but that only means to study from the book also.
Didn't really explain when you asked a question. Don't expect to use technology in his class; he cut 10% off my final grade for glancing at my phone during lecture. More homework than in class assignments.
Funny guy at times. Took algebra before- got A. Took Pre-Calc after- got A. His class- barely passed, thought I almost had to retake. Tricks you on tests. If you take him, please take my advice and STUDY at home everyday.
PARTICIPATE is the key word here. If you just show up and sit there, you won't get any help. He helps those that want to help themselves. Tests are short and the questions are not clear cut, so study hard or you won't pass. Hardest class I've ever taken. If math isn't your strong-suit, I would highly recommend a different instructor.
Mr. Peiris is blunt most of the time;however, he can show you his surprisingly comedic side. He is a great at math, but he is not a great math teacher. He sometimes skip over steps in his equations that leave his students baffle. Yet, his quizzes are short and his tests can be too sometimes. I suggest taking inter algebra before taking his class.
I don't know how he was hired, but this guy shouldn't be teaching in english.
smart but wouldn't recommend
He makes the class more difficult than it really is and his tests do not even make sense. Don't recommend anyone to take it...
He is a tough grader and you need to study extra hard for his class. No homework, just read the textbook to pass the class.
Yeah, I wouldn't recommend. This was by far the hardest class of my semester. Lots of quizzes and he would refuse to work with me when I didn't understand something. He made things seem more difficult then they were. I wouldn't have passed without spending a few hours a day in the math lab. If you don't need the stress, don't take this prof.
Grading criteria was not clear, somehow I was not aware of changes. The syllabus stated tests were 400 points while quizzes were 100 points, in reality, quizzes were being graded at 400 points and lowered test score results. 2) He gave previous material quizzes and tests LAST after lecturing on current materials. 3) quizzed every class meetings.
DE Student: He was very difficult to understand which is an issue when you're being taught math. Lectures are boing except for the rare time that he makes a joke. A positive of his class is the tests are super short and straightforward. If you study and do the homework then you'll pass however, I highly suggest you avoid his class.
i just withdrew from his precalc course summer B. Aside from his jokes (he is funny) He writes on the board all class leaving you speechless. If you are not a math major or anything below great at math please just save yourself the trouble of taking this professor. also his accent makes it impossible to understand him.
TERRIBLE!!!!!! Accent is so hard to understand that he himself gives up on demonstrating step by step problems. Like he seriously skips every single step. He would gives quizzes every class meeting and drop test or quiz grades if majority failing just to not get fired. You would have a F and if you get a C in the test you automatically pass SMH
This Professor will make your life miserable. He goes threw sections like a fat kid eating hot cakes. For each section he will show you two to three questions and would go to the next section. THERE IS NOT MULTIPLE CHOICES! ALL HAND WRITTEN! Except for the final exam. He does not care if you know your material. 90% of the students cheat anyways.
This professor was not a good professor. He has a strong accent which makes him hard to understand. He doesn't teach well and when I asked for help, he just repeated the problem. He is only good if you know the information ahead of time and if you are good with math. I had to drop the class because I was so behind and failing! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Professor Asoka knows his math very well and is a old school teacher, meaning you will learn your Math!! I personally am not the best at math and in the beginning of the course was having a difficult time however, if you practice and do your homework you will be fine. if math isn't your strongest subject and you dont care to improve dont take him
Amazing teacher. His accent isnt bad as others have said. Show up, do your homework and quizzes. Youll get an A or B.
don't take him if you want to pass phy1020, accent is awful and does not teach nor seem to care that he gives his student wrong formulas or homework to study for.
By far the worst teacher I've had. He seems frustrated just by getting asked to explain the formula's. He seems like he gets frustrated easily. Does not seem like he wants to teach. The day of the exam, he covers the following chapters beforehand. I am definetly disappointed in this teacher.
Good at math, but horrible at teaching math. He skips steps, and if you ask questions when you don't understand something he seems to get annoyed and makes fun of you. Doesn't respond to emails. Teaches new material the day of tests before the test. Doesn't give any test review or feedback on graded test.
Hes very tough on grading . and goes over everything in class . so if you miss a class you might not understand the lesson
I am in the middle of taking MAC1140 and it is rough. His accent is Indian and he often rumbles when speaking. He is also very rude to people asking questions, often shutting them down. I have a Russian in my class who don't speak English well and was yelled at for using his phone as a translator. "this is math, not the English class". I. Am. Disgu
Yes, he has a heavy accent, but as long as you pay attention you should be fine. He gives homework but it's not graded. There's quizzes every class (that there's not a test), and they're all free response questions except for the final exam. The quizzes and tests basically determine your grade, unfortunately, so make sure you study.
One of the worst teachers I have ever seen. Completely barbaric and has no manners. He's an extremely rude teacher and humiliates students if they ask a question that is fairly easy. His tests are fill in the box so you cant even guess on them so if you don't know the answer your screwed. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF ITS THE LAST THING YOU DO! TERRIBL
Very RUDE! Humiliate students if they ask questions that he feel is easy. He has absolutely no compassion or understanding. He makes class hard for absolutely no reason.
I took an online class with this professor and failed. I retook the same class on campus, with the same professor, and failed again. Since then, I've taken the same class with a different professor and I did not have the same rough time... I believe his method of teaching must not mesh well with my learning style.
I don't know why people say he is rude most of his comments are funny and bantering not really rude. Overall he taught very well although the short time frame made things hard. The high frequency of tests and quizzes is annoying and makes things hard but he does grade very fairly and is a nice guy. Didn't have any issues understanding him.
Got A's on the millions of homework assignments but F's on the tests. I ask to see the grading of the tests so I can see what I'm doing wrong and what I'm getting wrong and was literally told no. So there you go.
