Professor has a great personality and is very helpful when answering individual questions. During Lecture, it may be hard to follow what he is writing since he writes all over the blackboard. If you pay attention, you'll be able to understand what he is teaching. Stay on top of weekly quizzes and homeworks.

Prof. Fotovatian was really nice and caring of his students needs. He grades homework and weekly quizzes fairly. The in class notes are almost always representative of what the quiz will be about; however, the homework isn't as helpful for preparing for quizzes. He is a bit disorganized when providing the notes, so paying attention is key.

If you just go to the lectures and take notes, it's an easy class to pass, even during the harder units. Also gives cheat sheets during all quizzes and tests :)

All around good professor. The material is complicated and sometimes the explanations can be confusing, he writes a lot on the board, lots of example problems in class, and lots of quizzes and tests to see your progress. The finals was very difficult imo, as I did great in the class until the final. Good teacher, stay on top of the material.

DO NOT TAKE IT WITH ASSAD. I had Assad last Spring for Diff Eqs and his communication was just absolutely atrocious. He repeats the same thing over and over and it honestly made me hate Differential Equations so much even as a math major. The quality of his lectures are so poor; he always just makes me wanna fall asleep.

I've taken this class twice and I can say, Assad genuinely helped me understand the mechanics of Calculus! I have issues with understanding certain concepts of calculus but his teaching style (thorough lecture, step to step explanation, expansion of confusing spots in explanations, and many examples) helped me understand the material a lot!

If you look around the room during the first day or quiz/test days there is a stark difference between the amount of people in the lectures. That is telling! The reason why is because his lectures are very unimportant. It is grueling to sit through the entire lecture and heat him drone on through topics that can honestly be summarized up in 5 min.
