Makings learnign the anatomy of the body fun and interesting!
Funny, cheery, jovial, a good teacher but the course was difficult (which isn't his fault). Always was willing to help and talk with students. Had great ways to memorize notes and body parts. I did very well for a non-science major, and I liked the class.
Hard to understand him but class is okay needs to work on being clearer on tests
Nice guy, but unclear on tests and notes.
Hard not to like him, very nice and happy person. Some of what we were tested on did not appear in the lectures.
A very good professor!
class was hard for a non science major.
great teacher one of the better anatomy teachers
Sometimes hard to understand. He does know his stuff. Don't take the class in the morning.
good teacher, good sense of humor, not the easiest class, but face it- who can make biology all that easy? i recommend this guy. but whoever said he's hot, come on now...

An "Awesome Professor"... would recommend him to anybody. Really made the course more "learnable".

If you're looking for someone to give you an easy A, don't take Wahba. He expects you to want to learn. He's not always easy, but I really felt like I learned stuff in this class. As a former OB/GYN, he knows his stuff cold. He's got a sense of humor, and is friendly if you get to know him. He has a moderate accent.
very friendly and generaly good teacher. He is always pleasant and very clear on what he expects from his students...the course itself was difficult but he is one of those teachers who tries to make it as fair and even as possible.
If you really listen to what he's saying, he's a great teacher!
Even though i tried very hard and tried to do my best and attended extra classes, he gave me a C-. Basically 2 points below a passing C. I talked to him about bumping me 2 points and he would not do it and now I have to retake the class over again which is really unfair over 2 points.
He's definatley a character and a good teacher but some of the test material was not covereed in class and he'll never admit he's wrong. He has very high expectations for his students. Have fun with the cats!
Would not recommend. Class lectures do not match up with exams! I found myself learning the material from other college anatomy classes to get the info he wasnt giving us in class. All this, so I could pass the test. BS! Plan on spending hours of studying each day!!
Great prof. Some think he's hard to understand but his pronounciation is great. He has a wonderful attitude and anyone that complains about him must not have attended the classes wanting to learn. He would even tell the class what the question on the tests were and how many of each there would be, plus he'd show the actual diagrahms from the tes
I think Wahba is a good guy, but he is not a good teacher. He goes way too fast and you can't understand him. He has stuff on the test that we never went over in class. I would not recommend anyone to take his class.
be ready to study A LOT, but hes a good teacher. he doesnt teach everything thats on his tests, but thats kinda why you spent money on a text book. has an accent bt is easy to understand, and he is funny too. Shows diagrams/tells you what will be on all tests. 100% attendance=30 extra credit pts at the end of the sem
Awesome teacher! Very difficult class and he expects his students to know their stuff. Very helpful and approachable during office hours if you have questions or concerns. Expect to spend a lot of your time studying to do well. I found this class very interesting and extremely rewarding. I would strongly recommend Wahba!
He is an awesome professor. He does have an accent that can be hard to understand at times. I learned a lot from his class and did well. Tests and quizes are straight forward. I would take his class again.
Dr. Wahba is great! His accent is not that difficult to understand. He keeps you entertained in class and really wants you to understand the material and succeed. His office hours were not much help but if you ask him questions in conference and lab he is more than happy to help. His tests are straightforward. Just study. The best part: NO homework
Don't take anatomy with him.
I will never recommende anyone to take him ouf! First what he explain in the lecture or conference you will never see that in the test. Also he give you something he didn't see during the class with you. For the lab exam 17 station 17 minute, and each station have a), b), c), d), and sometimes e). Please if you need to have a good grade don't take
Great teacher.
Before anyone takes anatomy with any professor they need to understand it is a difficult class and is meant to weed out the slackers. And you will have to study at least 15 hours outside of class. Professor Wahba is a a great professor and expects his students to know thier stuff. If you are willing to do the work you will be fine!
Overall I felt Dr. Wahba was not a very helpful teacher. Every class only consisted of him reading off a power-point presentation. He never did any review. Tests were done on scan-tron sheets and you would only receive that back. To get the actual test you could only see him at his office and look at it there. Try and get another professor.
This class is very hard, especially with him as a professor. His tests are horrible. There very hard and he tests you on the little things instead of the bigger/obvious things that you think he would test you on. I don't recommend anyone to take this class with him. If i could, i would switch professors in a heartbeat :(
Dr. Wahba is funny and a grear. BIO142 Is not easy if you're looking for an easy A just don't take this class. He shows all of the diagrams that are going to be on the test and reads through the tests lists specific things to study, he's not hard to understand and his accent actually helped me remember stuff for a long time not just for the exam.
This was the worst teacher I have ever had. I am usually an A+ student and I was very interested in taking this class I studied for hours as did others in my class right now I'm pretty sure the class average is a D I would not recommend him I went in with an open mind but I seriously regret taking this course with him.
He is a terrible teacher who doesn't help his student. His tests have way to much information packed into them and they are completely over whelming
refuse, dont have him as a teacher unless u want to fail
Does not help you at all with up-coming tests, tests are extremely hard, he expects you to know wayy to much information
yo, hes a great guy and made class fun to come to but so hard to pass. i studied so hard but didnt pass. Wouldnt reccomend him as a teacher.
he does not help anyone, he expects you to know the information completly before class and thinks its funny when everyone does bad on the test and says its hard, my advisors even rolled their eyes when i mentioned who i had for anatomy. he does nothing to benifit the student, just causes tons and tons of stress and anxiety!
He was a great professor. He told you exactly what was on the tests and lab practicals and showed the diagrams. Anatomy is a HARD course, if you can't handle the work then do not take it at all and switch your major. I took it over the summer with him and it was a lot of work but still managed to get an A.
Wahba is an excellent professor. He is very nice & very willing to help. But, I dont recommend him for people who dont have a solid foundation in Anatomy b/c he can be difficult to understand & he digs deep into specifics that other bio profs dont. If you love anatomy & are ready to work very hard, hes a great prof!
i would deffinetly not recommend him as a teacher i am retaking anatomy with a different professer and i have a A..i failed Wahba's class...if your major is to become a doctor then take him..
I was excited to take this class. Prof. Wahba made all that excitement die with his overdetailed tests. He expects you to know the material before you come to class, and at labs he gives no intstructions, just sits at his desk. I would definitely take this class with another professor!
TERRIBLE! He told us the first day of class "I do not teach for what is on the test" His tests are impossible. I would NEVER tell someone to take it with him. You do not even get credit for you Lab reviews. He is a nice guy but a terrible teacher, RUN WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!
does not help students at all. he is not even present during the lab he leaves the room to go get coffee. he is hard to understand and the tests have way to much information. DO NOT take it with him!
Terrible professor but a nice guy. His tests are extremely hard and he tests on the overly detailed parts. If you are not self motivated do not take his class. He he useless for labs as he will tell you to look at this, this and this and then read Egyptian news on his computer. I like the guy personally but he is a horrible teacher.
If you don't want to work hard don't take anatomy. Prof. Wahba never tests anything he did not cover in class. He is energetic, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. He always has time to answer my questions and always has an answer. I respect him greatly as a teacher. Learning depends on you and Prof.Wahba provides the tools needed to learn.
THis class was impossible! i studied everyday all day spent all my weekends studing and barley past any tests and tha the only thing he grades you on.. i would not recommend him as a professor he knows so much and thinks its necessary for you to know it but hes teaching way beyond this course as other instructers have agreed. hes a nice guy.
Awesome teacher..he is very strict on attendance but go do your work and you will do fine! uses excellant examples to clarify lectures or better expalin his lectures!
Im sorry to say but i do not recomend this teacher his test are the worst ive seen and i love science. hes a great teacher nice guy but his test doesnt make no sense it makes you feel like you been in the wrong class. When i first register i thought all this complaints were just people that didnt want to work but is all TRUE!!!!
I am sorry to say that he is a worrible teacher. I do not recommend anyone to take with him. I was pretty good in science but this was the first timne i had to withdraw my class. If you take with him, u have to work on your own. He wants u to memorize everything.
Let me try to demystify the conflicting ratings of this teacher. The students that took Anatomy because they truly wanted to learn something did well. They came prepared for lecture and lab, didn't blow off classes and participated in class. The folks that didn't prepare, were always late for class did poorly and just blamed the Professor.
Very difficult class. I managed an A- only by studying for hours and using the companion website online. I basically had to teach my self the material from the chapter because the lectures were useless. Very nice guy but I suggest taking someone else if possible
he was greattt and helped so muuch i just recently got into the Pharmacy Program he is ispirational!
FIRST DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MAN,HES NOT TEACHING YOU AT ALL. HE LECTURES AND THATS IT EXPECTS YOU TO KNOW EVERYTHING WHEN EXAMS COME. NOT HELPFUL WHEN YOU ASK QUESTIONS. HE SITS ON HIS CHAIR AND NOTHING ELSE
Very hard class, but it was a summer course.Cumulative final. Nice guy but not a good teacher.Lectures are in depth.Lab was ridiculous. He would sit there and you'd have to teach yourself.Hard to understand him. Drops your lowest exam score. Gives points for attending lecs/con/labs which can help your grade.Quizes.Hard practicals no extra credit
Took the class and overall not a bad teacher. Wish he would go more indepth with material and spend more time answering questions from students. But overall not bad.
Dr. Wahba is kind & funny. He is always willing to go out of his way to help his students AS LONG as you ask him for it.He likes to challenge his students with his tests so be prepared for him testing on the details rather than just the basics. If you want an easy A, go elsewhere-he will make sure you get the grade you EARNED.
The Human Dissection course with Dr. Wahba is wonderful. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well as very kind and compassionate. I wish every Bio professor I had was like him!
This professor won't spoon-feed you. If you are used to cramming the night before an exam, go elsewhere. If, however, you are willing to work hard, I highly recommend Wahba. I've never had to work so hard for a good grade, but I came away feeling like I had learned more about Anatomy than I would have from anyone else. He raises the standard.
If you want to actually learn the material in this course, in a way where you will retain it far into the future, this is the teacher for you. Is he easy? No. But this course isn't supposed to be easy.
Anatomy is such an important class to have to teach yourself or work around his teaching style. I would recommend someone else who is more willing to help you understand the material
Worst class I've ever taken. I am a hard worker. I study for hours on end for his tests, and I still do bad. He just reads off of powerpoints and leaves you to teach yourself a very hard subject. Lectures leave you feeling lost. You WILL NOT have a life if you take it either, because you have a VERY hard test every week. Good luck. You'll hate it
I had to withdraw from the class to avoid failing because this man can not teach. He expects you to learn the material yourself. Lab hours are pointless because he just sits at his desk and does nothing. The only grades in the class are tests and online "quizzes" do nothing If you want to pass this class i recommend choosing a different professor.
Do not take Anatomy with this professor . I studied exremely hard and have gotten A's in most other college classes. His tests are ridiculous and over half class dropped failing. Do not take this professor. Worst college class experience ever and I already have a bachelors degree. Regret sticking it out with him wish I had withdrawn.
Horrible.. Nice guy but not a very good teacher. If you"re looking to major in Anatomy, them this is the class for you. If not, i suggest looking for some one else. He teaches as if yhtis is what you are ajoring and you have to know soooo much compared to other professors which teach you what you need to know! Do NOT ecommend at all!!
Nice guy, but steer clear. He's difficult to learn from & hard to understand. Lab hours are agonizing. You get models & your book for 3 long hrs- no teaching. I withdrew- as did 1/2 the class. I did the hw & studied, but I want a teacher when I come to a class, not a monitor. I took it again with another prof, passed with an A & learned a ton.
Dr. Wahba has a lot of teaching techniques that are frequently mistaken for being bad, but he really makes you learn the material. You really have to work for your grade. Anatomy is a hard subject period. It's one of those subjects you have to work at to get an A. I went from a C to an A. It is possible to improve your grade if you take the time.
AMAZING teacher. Was so organized, updated grades fast. Took this over the summer, it was alot of material in short time but easy. Tests were general. Final was easy. He is very helpful and nice. Ppl dont get that Anatomy is hard no matter who teaches it. You have to work for your grade, and can't rely on the teacher to baby you through this class.
People mistake Dr. Wahba for a hard teacher, this is not the case. The class is hard and requires a lot studying. He will always answer questions. One of the nicest teachers I have had.
GREAT teacher! Very helpful. I ended up transferring out of my old bio lab into his. Very clear on his expectations and willing to help anyone! Also he is clear on explaining what he is teaching so no one is confused and if anyone is he will keep helping you till you get it! Overall, awesome teacher!
Impossible to understand. He goes too fast its hard to understand what you're supposed to be studying.
Do not skip the quizzes they boost your overall grade to passing if you are failing. Very hard class. Lectures are boring, but read the chapters and power points every night. He does curve the final exam.
could bearly underrstand him and grades only on tests, not labs
He was very clear on what his expectations were & everything he taught matched what was on the exam. The course is difficult due to a lot of memorizing but he was very helpful with questions & sometimes funny during his lectures! He stresses understanding the material and words to decrease the need to memorize. He's understandable. Def a good prof
study.
After each lecture make sure you read the chapter it corresponds with if you want to retain anything.
He is very hard to understand. Long on-line assignments. I saw his hot temper on more than one occasion, in lecture, because someone checked there cell phone. teaches the class as if you are all MD students. If you normally get A's and B's be prepared for F's. His class will make you question yourself. More than half of the class dropped.
Be sure to attend class and get ready to read and review every single night. As opposed to other professors, he's very vague about what will be on tests. The final is not curved. There's an overall grade curve if the class average is under a 70. Difficult to understand. Vocab is key. Good luck.
This is a difficult class no matter who teaches it. That's just the reality. The only reason to avoid Wahba may be his accent, although this didn't bother me. He was VERY clear about what would be on exams. Just put in a lot of time, and pour in effort as though your career depends on it. And if you want to be in the medical field, it truly does.
Good teacher! He will help if you ask! Be ready to STUDY! He tells you what is on every test just not very specific, study everything! Textbook, lecture powerpoint, everything is fair game to him. Final is easiest test you will take all year! Don't expect an easy A from Wahba, you will have to work for it!
professor wahba is truely a fantastic teacher. He is always willing to help his students learn and understand. Anatomy is a very hard course no matter who your professor is and anyone will have to work at it. But professor wahba is very passionate about what he does and loves to help his students. He is kind and always greets his class with a smile
He is great! Don't let the bad reviews scare you. He is just no-nonsense. He expects maturity, independence and effort. There is no fluff or hand-holding in this class, but he is always pleasant to deal with, and he truly wants you to learn and understand. If you are a serious & mature student, you will do just fine. I'm really enjoying his class!
Dr. Wahba is fantastic. My only complaint is that he does not return exams, so you don't know what you got wrong. But other than that, he's super intelligent and always helpful when you ask. He will not hold your hand though. He expects you to do the work.
Dr. Wahba expects students to be independent about their learning. He's more than willing to help, but hates laziness, so try to find the answer yourself first. Good lecturer, clear expectations, no nonsense, pretty funny sometimes. His tests really aren't that hard if you find a way to study that works for you. Don't forget the online quizzes!
I wasn't sure about taking a class with wahba because of his rating on here, but I absolutely love him! He is always willing to help and tells his students exactly what is on his tests. Although tests are hard, that is the nature of this course no matter who the teacher is
One of the hardest college courses I have ever taken. This professor made it more difficult that it should have been. Lab hours were excruciating, and lectures were jam-packed full of material. Hard to understand. DO THE ONLINE QUIZZES
Awesome professor. I usually can't understand people with accents but had no trouble at all understanding him. Anatomy is a difficult class to begin with but he made it interesting and easy to understand. His humor just made the class. He tells you exactly what is going to be on the test/lab exams. I loved this class and I loved this professor!!
So I registered for Wahba's anatomy class & immediately I started hearing all the awful things about Professor Wahba, well I'm so happy that I didn't listen to the rumors. He was an awesome professor. His test are reasonable, he doesn't give homework but he is vary clear about what you need to know. I really enjoyed his class & he is a great guy.
I came into this class negative but he is a good professor and his speech is not bad his lectures are fast talking its only 50min and a lot of material. he will sit with you during office hours. and nsec room and you will learn a lot from him if you are open minded. all test are multiple choice even final exam. did not pass lack of studying on me.
Very nice professor. This class can be very demanding at times, but Prof. Wahba tries to make it as simple as possible. He can be hard to understand at times but if you ask for help he will do so gladly.
Dr. Wahba was a great professor for me. He has alot of knowledge on the subject and has great ways to remember things because anatomy is all about memorization. This course is tough but he does a very good job on giving you the materials to pass. be prepared to do work at home, he is not there to hold your hand through it all
This is a very hard class, there is a lot of material and it seems rushed. But if you stay positive, all of the tools to pass are absolutely available to you. Professor gives you the information and its all up to you how you chose to use it. He doesnt try to trick you. is hard to understand but is a very smart man that wants his students to succeed
everyone says he is hard to understand but I found him ok its lecture and he short on time and covers a lot of chapters with 2hr. he very helpful if you ask and he always in nsec room and will study with you.
Wahba is a good professor. He's a former doctor so he knows a lot. You have to get ready to do a whole lot of studying outside of class but you have to do that if you take human anatomy with any teacher to be honest. His tests are rough but the lab exams are not so bad. He's a good guy
I would NOT Recommend this Professor at all! I had him before about a decade ago for another class when I was majoring in something else. No matter how you give up all weekends to read and study it sometimes will not get you ready for his tests. I suggest reading ahead all the time if you have to take him! I don't know how he is still teaching.
I registered late for the class and ended up being forced to pick Wahba. I was worried due to his rating. This class is hard, but he brings the test to class and tells you what to study. I studied and did well. You have to put in work for this. The hw is harder than test. go to open lab for practical. STUDY. Don't expect to be handed a good grade.
The only way you will pass this class is by reading the book. By the end of the semester over half the kids dropped the class and all of my study friends ended up failing. As long as you read the book you will be fine, it prepares you for your harder upcoming classes.
Ended up having to take this class w/ Wahba b/c it was the only class still open. If you have to take this class, my 2 suggestions are: READ THE TEXTBOOK + DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. The extra credits are 3-4 quizzes for each test (13 quizzes total). They're worth more than 1 test and it's pretty easy to find the answers online txtbook. Saved my grade!
Tue-Thur; 80-minute lectures from powerpoint with no variation. Difficult exams. I recommend reading the book cover to cover. Do extra credit online, saved me. No makeup exams - I was in ER and he still gave me a 0, but drops lowest grade. I was still infuriated about it. Taught us at pre-med level despite us being Biology non-majors. Learned a lot
We started with about 25 students at the end of the semester there were only 11 left. You have to do the work, you have to read and prepare yourself for the tests. He tests you on your ability to apply the knowledge you learned not just memorizing vocabulary. He is a good teacher but it's real college course, he is not giving the grade away.
Wahba is a awesome person & Im sure to most a great professor. Im not saying he isnt but for me during lectures it was sometimes hard to understand him. It was a good thing he had very detailed PowerPoint slides. Also on lab days for the most part it felt like we were teaching our selves he wasnt thorough with what he wanted you to do.
Well educated, but hard to understand. Only pick him if its the last option. No class participation.
Dr. Wahba is a challenge, and not particularly nice about life issues. Don't expect to use your cell phone or go to the bathroom- he will publicly humiliate you for it. Not the worst guy, not an unpassable class, lectures were interesting and useful. Learned a lot, but hated every assignment and test.
I don't even know where to start. This professor is unbelievably tough. Non-native English speaker who decks points for wording differently than he would've (not wrong, by the way, just different). Do poorly on one thing and you've basically shot yourself in the foot for the rest of the semester. Do yourself a favor and just don't sign up for this.
So far he is a great professor! He is a little difficult to understand in lecture, but he is very straight forward about what to study for the tests and offers extra assisngments and quizzes online to help you prepare. Those are harder than the tests. Put in the effort to study otherwise youll fail. He is there to help his students who seek him!
Speaks way too fast and the examples he gives during the power point slides, makes no sense.
It seems like I teach myself. He literally teaches directly from the slides. He knows the material is tough and the course is fast paced but he says "oh well, it's life". I WILL NEVER TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN.
Basically one of the worst teachers I have ever had. I wish I stayed home and stared at a wall because I would have learned more and saved money. He is hard to understand, teaches off what he already wrote, no specificity, definitely way better teachers to choose from. If you want to waste time and money though, sign right up!
He wasn't much help with any question, very demeaning. Only go for his class if you thrive under a "teaching yourself environment"
He starts the semester off very tough probably to weed people out. Its possible to pass but you have to teach yourself. He is very demeaning to students. Good luck to any and all students who take him.
Super difficult class! Getting an A is possible but dont expect to get one without putting in the effort outside of class. Wahba just reads off the slides and labs arnt really helpful. He tells you what to study for tests and practical but they are extremely specific and difficult. Dont get caught on your phone he will YELL at you and make a scene!
I have him for this semester and I love his class. A&P is not as difficult as people say, you just have to put the time and effort for it. He has 5 exams and lowest drops. He adds 10 bonus questions to his exams and lab exams. He does not give any HW, only a quiz for each chapter that are all online. I would not take A&P w/ any other prof
Lovedddd him! He is so nice and class was so fun taking it with him! Ppl always complain about anatomy bc they just dont study but if you do, you will love him! Plus he adds so much bonus to his lab exams and regular exams and final!
I have Dr Wahba for this semester and he is one of my favorite professors! People dont put the effort they need to for this class thats why most complain and fail or drop/w. This class is really easy if you put in the time and effort. There is NO hw (just connect quizzes for each chapter) and he puts 10 bonus questions for all of his exams.
I loved Dr. Wahba! Dont let the bad reviews fool you. As long as you put in effort and study for his class you will be fine. He is so funny and tells you good ways to remember things for the test. His tests have extra credit questions which are very helpful. There is no homework except for quizzes online which are due the day of the test.
I loved Dr Wahbas class! He was so caring and funny! For an anatomy class it was easy! I loved how we got to go on our own pace
No HW. You dont HAVE to buy the book. More helpful using study tools online. Reads right of the PP slides. Everything is simple and easy to him. Students struggle. Doesnt always respond to email. Doesnt explain things well. Would avoid if possible.
Professor Wahba is wonderful. He tries his best to make a tough class a little easier. His expectations are clear, he is willing to help, but this class is no joke. You have to put in the work if you want to do well.
lectures are very heavy assignments dont correlate with what was learned. Example: we learn about the heart the exam asks scenario based questions. wish i saw his rating prior to taking the class
