Dr. Caglar was easily the best professor I had last semester. She explained things well and was responsive to questions in class and out. She held multiple review sessions on her own time before the second test and the final exam to make sure everyone understood the material.

She is a good professor, curves the tests according to the students, if everyone is struggling with the course, she will try her best to help everyone and give you extra problems to help you.

Her presentation slides are average, however, she has "group quizzes" once a week, where we work out the note examples or a HW problem together. Her tests were from the notes and group quizzes. She is understanding of her students if you communicate with her. Great professor. To make an A, you must review consistently, not just before tests.

Caglar is great. Considering the number of negative reviews here, I was surprised to enjoy her class. Her lectures are organized, she encourages questions and group work, and her exams are fair. She really wants her students to understand the material. As long as you keep up with the lecture notes, it's not difficult to follow along and do well.

She's a really good teacher and listens to her students when they're struggling. I took her online and we could email her about parts that were hard and she'd post a video the following day with extra problems. Her reviews are helpful before the test and she genuinely seems to care about the student success.

Professor Caglar is by far the best mathematics professor I have had the privilege of taking. She is incredibly helpful and caring of her students. Of course like any upper level course you have to put in the work but there is no reason to not make anything below a B in this course. She is also very funny which definitely a plus.

PDE is a extremely hard class at UH and none of the professors are fantastic. Caglar is the best of the PDE profs. Clear lecture material. In class group quizzes. Test questions come from in class quizzes, hw, and especially notes. Memorize the notes! Look at the material every night. It helps. Memorizing right before the test is impossible.

Dr. Caglar is one of the best math professors at UH. I am surprised by the negative reviews here. She gives you all the material you need to get an A. She is very caring and taught me a lot. She also gives extra credit opportunities in class. There is no reason to get below a B. She really cares about her students. I wish she taught more classes.

Caring and dedicated, Caglar is an excellent teacher. If you're an incoming freshman, I highly recommend taking her precalculus course as she's probably the best teacher to help you transition from high school life to college life. The professor usually walks around to see if any students are off-task because she wants them to listen in class. Her pacing during lectures goes a bit fast but explains decently to know the topic. Getting good grades is mostly off from self-studying and connecting with the professor's techniques in the lecture. Hint: Study practice tests & videos

I would say difficulty level is more like 3.5 than 4. I heard students do better online than in-class because you can re-watch lectures. For live sessions, she will help on homework and quiz problems. Probably shouldn't wait to study last minute. Its not the easiest class but its not hard if you put in the time.

She is a very generous and patient professor. I had her for both E-Math and PDE. For E-Math, she dropped several of our lowest quiz grades which helped a lot. For PDE, she graded our homework with a lot of leniency. She was super patient with me when I had questions, and even made herself available though I couldn't make it to her office hours.

Dr. Caglar is the sweetest professor I've ever had. She is kind and she really cares about her students. PDE is a tough course, but she's trying her best to make the material easy. Although she made mistakes during her lecture but that was not a big deal. If you take note and study hard, you will get an easy A. I would definitely take her again.

I took Dr. Caglar for Engineering Math at UH main campus. She's an excellent teacher, and all her lectures were very helpful. Although the topics covered are very complex, her ability to explain and illustrate them using great examples made them much easier. She was always available to answer questions and made sure you understood the concepts.

Professor Caglar is a very nice professor. Be sure to finish your work on time, especially EMCFs. Quizzes are allowed 20 attempts so there is a lot of leniency there. She is very attentive in her lectures compared to other professors.

I have learned a lot in the past 2 weeks because of how articulate and thorough Dr. Caglar is with teaching the material. I have taken several math courses and nearly failed them, (even college algebra!!), so walking away with a B+ is an incredible feat for me, which I can credit her for majorly! Her Math 1313 course can be tough. As long as you study and understand the material you will get an A. She can go through her lecture pretty fast and can sometimes be hard to understand. The hardest part about her class is just keeping up with the martial and not falling behind.

Math 1313 is easy just buy a ti nspire calculator and you can do everything but it wont teach you so use the notes and tutoring if needed and it should be a easy A class. Youll be fine in this math class. Calculus is harder for reference/comparison. This is a required class for business majors so I had to take it even though I had taken calculus1

This class is basically a self taught class online so be ready to do quizzes and test on your own but its super easy so youre probably going to not need much tutoring. I recommend using a ti nspire calculator. The professor is rude if you go to her optional virtual meetings and ask questions so she mostly wants you to listen. The class easy.

They class is difficult but that's a given. She tried her best and has been a wonderful teacher. She has been very gracious during this pandemic, with pushing back due dates occasionally, and solving some of the homeork assignments, as well as the extra review sessions and so much more. She was easily my best teacher this semester.

The class wasn't difficult if you listen and watch exactly what she recorded online. She wasn't response quick on your email but she gave a lot of chances by the way she moved due date on any works as much as she could. Her popper is your free credit just by watching her recorded lecture online. She also dropped lowest quiz graded, and extra credit

From all my fellow Engineering Students I was told how hard Intro to PDE was and how they never understood what was happening; even from the teachers that were recommended to take. Her lectures are boring but you will be fine on your own by just following along her completed notes that she posts without watching her lectures. She really does care about you learning the material considering she gives very detailed test reviews which are key to your A for tests. She does give out a lot of HW so don't stay behind in class.

Mrs. Atife is one of the easiest professorS I've ever taken at UH. It was an online class with a lot of homework and quizzes, but you have 20 attempts to take and your grade will be the highest attempt. She drops 2 lowest homework, 2 lowest quizzes and replaces your lowest test with the final. Her tests are fair and the final is super easy.

I started off attending in-person classes for this course but discovered the recorded lectures are a lot shorter and concise. There's a lot of homework and quizzes weekly, but as long as you watch the lecture the work is very easy. The practice tests are identical to the real test. The professor is amusing and friendly when answering questions.

Don't listen to the other reviews giving her a 1.0 rating out of spite. She really is a nice lady and basically sets you up to get an A. it's just up to you to keep up with the HW and quizzes. Her online lectures were long and I didn't really bother to watch them since all of the material can be easily understood from the textbook and YouTube.

Because of Covid so she didn't require you to attend classes in person. She posted all of her lectures on Teams and hw were on CASA. You just need to keep up with all of the due dates on CASA, and did exam reviews, you will be fine.

Honestly just watch the lectures and do the work. Way less complicated than Calc 3. She tells you exactly what you need to know for the exams and explains it with clarity. Solid choice. This is an overall very manageable class.

Nothing else to say except Caglar is the best. Wish could take for all classes.

She's great. Actually cares about her students. She would tell us "don't stress out, I will help" and other things like that. She gave us 10 points on an exam just to do it again with the correct solutions. The material is not super hard, but it requires some studying. The reviews are great, study it and you'll do great

Class itself has certain grading criteria that is uniform for all MATH1324 professors. She is sweet and interactive in lectures. Has a thick turkish accent, is sometimes late, but still comes prepared to lecture students. Completing practice exams will give you extra credit in this course.

Pretty good teacher. She has all the lecture videos online that are very helpful. She also posts her test reviews which help on test day. Regardless of what teacher you take for 1324, the hw, quiz, and tests are the exact same so keep that in mind. Just come to class and pay attention, and you'll be fine.

Mrs. Caglar is probably the most helpful professor I've ever had, she will bend the rules to ensure her students are doing well and teaches at a slow pace explaining the same topic in different ways so everyone understands. On that note she is soft-spoken when she teaches in person, so make sure to sit up front.

The materials for this course are super hard, but her lecture is straightforward. She wants her students to succeed and do anything she can to help the class. There is a big curve on all the exams. The exams are hard, there are 3 exams and 1 final.

Caglar taught amazing lectures & ensured everyone understood the material before proceeding to another section. she goes over test reviews during class so it's really helpful and she tells you what might be on there. you have the option to opt-out of the final if you have a B-. the practice exams are really helpful before the real exams.

Dr. Caglar isn't horrible. Although she makes mistakes in her notes which makes the lesson harder to understand we have to correct few times during lectures. Lecture recording and notes are provided on teams. practice exams on casa count for extra credit on exam. As long as you study hard you will be fine. Ti-84 calculators cannot be used on exams.

Very easy to reach. Gives study questions before the exam, which really helps with the exam. Ha lecture recordings so even if you don't understand during the class which is a great possibility, you will understand through the recordings. It is hard to not get A but you have to do your own study at home, in person lectures don't really help.

This was an online class which had prerecorded lectures which were hard to hear sometimes. The lectures were very informative however, allowing me to understand the problems given to me in my homework. The test reviews were very helpful study guides for the test.

Good at communicating. She has an accent and speaks quietly, so it can be difficult to understand her during lectures, but she puts all notes online so this isn't a big issue. The hw is very straightforward, but can be time consuming and varies in difficulty. Studying is necessary to do well on the exams, but if you do study it's easy to get an A.

She's a nice teacher and teaches fairly well. Cons: Makes math mistakes and her accent may be too hard to understand for some. Paying attention worked well for me.

There were definitely times where she would cover things too quickly so having to learn material on your own is definitely required. If you struggle with the work I would recommend going to tutoring. She was almost always late to class. One day Renu Khator came in, and she wasnt there. She would teach everything in the most complicated way, going slowly over simple stuff and quickly over the harder more confusing stuff. Attendance Poppers almost daily. Finishes units x and starts unit y way before unit x tests. Only take if you know content.

I was scared going into her class since she had a bit of negative reviews but honestly, don't listen to them. Put in the effort by attending/watching lectures and doing the hw and quizzes and you'll be fine. I'm not the best at math but she made it easy to understand and the hw, quizzes, and practice tests helped a lot! There is also extra credit!

She is pretty nice. I felt very confident in her lectures because she really explains the problem well. She sometimes does too much, like she will give different (difficult) ways to solve a problem, and then is like "you don't have to do that". She takes attendance random days, but as long as you come to class, you will def pass. Makes it easier.

Easy class! Test 2 is difficult and most people fail so be careful on those units. Final is optional if you get a B. Material isn't hard and you don't need to know anything from high school idk why people saying you do! Reviews exactly like test. The material is easy if you practice and pay close attention to what she's saying, she's not the very best at explaining which can be a struggle. Grades are mainly carried in the homework and quizzes which she sometimes goes over in class, only 3 tests all semester, very similar to the reviews as well. As long as you put in effort you'll be fine.

Not a bad teacher. She is really nice if you miss an assignment or two just email her, and she'll let you turn it in to her the next day. She does sometimes mess up on videos she posts, and she does not allow a calculator in the class.

She has a Turkish accent but it's pretty easy to understand. She lectures every single class. There are 2 quizzes and 1 homework assignment every week, along with 3 tests and then the final. There is always a chance to earn up to 5 bonus points for each exam. She also posts lecture videos. There are also random poppers that count toward your grade.

There are hws and quizzes due every week,three tests and one final,and gives poppers for attendance.I found the actual tests to be much easier than the practice tests.I would say the reviews she provides are much closer to what the actual tests are like.Just practice a bunch of problems from textbook,review,and practiceexams and you should be fine.

If you do not have a good background in math, I would strongly recommend Caglar. I am an art major, and my math background is limited. I learned so much from her focused lectures! Attendance is mandatory, and the test review days were pretty helpful. Just be ready to work, ask for help and learn lots!

Very caring Prof. Just make sure to complete all of your assignments and quizzes on time! The best way to learn and secure an A in this class is to listen to her lectures and then watch her lecture videos and take notes from them after or before hand. I really recommend this professor, she gives a lot of opportunity and chances to understand the material and pass the class and the final was optional if you had a good grade in the class.

I don't know if it's her first time teaching MATH2305 but she has some hiccups on her lectures sometimes where she would get the class confused. Aside from that, she's very caring and teaches like a middle schooler teacher (in a good way) she doesn't drop or curve tests but her reviews are almost exactly the same as the tests.

She is a good professor. She makes sure that everyone understand the course and let us ask as many questions as we can so she can help us.

I was a bit scared when I first signed up for this class because it was her first time teaching discrete math, but she was really great. She makes everything easy to understand and is very caring. If you ever need help, she's always there. Tests are only about 8-10 questions and are very similar if not the same as the reviews/homework.

Very helpful and thorough with her lecture material. I personally hate all things math but she made things very easy to grasp. She made the test reviews harder than the tests so that you score higher on the tests. Each review done is 5 points of extra credit added to your test score. I'm terrible at math but this class is manageable, she can go through leture fast but it's noting too difficult that you couldn't just youtube. A very amazing lecturer. Her accent may make her harder to understand for some people, but i had no problem. Practice tests are identical to actual tests. I barely ever went to class. Maybe 10 times the whole semester (for exam reviews, etc) because all you needed was right there in the blank notes and in practice quizzes. and still got an A+

Attendance is required through poppers, online quizzes make up most of your grade, extra credit comes from practice tests, and the practice tests are identical if not harder than the actual exam. I mainly learned through taking the practice tests and quizzes over and over. She drops some poppers and one test grade at the end.

Attendance matters. She has an accent but you will get used to it. If you do the quizzes and practice test those questions will be on your exam. She gives you 10 attempts to take the quizzes and practice test. Sometimes the way she explains may be confusing, so I recommend going to her or YouTube.

Very easy class. I never had to go to CASA or Launch and I'm not the smartest. If you do all the assignments yourself and understand them before tests, you'll definitely get a good grade. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she uses random poppers. She rarely answers emails and makes a lot of mistakes during lectures, so expect to correct her.
